An upstairs long-established eclectic dark bar is our kind of place. The bartender was great, quick with a drink, and grabbed us up some Barflys tee shirts. There's a great restaurant below, and the combination of the two places makes it a fun place to be.

Chill bar with good vibes. It does look shady from outside but it's fun inside. There is outdoors as well for smoking. Cheap drinks as well.

I was in Austin for 2 days and ended my evenings here both nights, that’s how much I liked this spot. Classic dive bar vibes, in the absolute best way! Cold beer, fantastic prices and the owner provided impeccable service behind the bar. Cozy environment but still lively enough to be exciting - will be back the next time I’m in town for sure.

Barflys is my favorite dive bar since Hard Luck Lounge closed. It's definitely not fancy, but the music is great, the people are mostly chill locals, the bartenders are friendly and helpful, specials are good, and they have plenty of pool tables (dive bar must-have). We happened accidentally to be there for their 20th anniversary the other night, and they gave everyone shots of something out of a spare gas can (I asked the guy pouring what it was and he said "I didn't make it" 😂) but it was actually pretty good and went perfectly well with my Lonestar and it was hilarious to watch him walk around with it. It is largely indoors, but there is some decent outdoor seating, and everyone was masked up. I'm not that far north often, but I absolutely love stopping in when I am! Definitely give it a go!!

The stairway to nirvana known as Barfly's is the brightest gem in Austin. The drinks are poured generously, the beers are ice cold, and the prices are great. The jukebox is packed with great tunes, as well. There is consistently great service and the staff is super friendly. Proud to call this my neighborhood bar, and its servers my friends.

Never did I think me wearing Sherpa lined hey dudes would be the straightest person in there! Everyone was friendly and very nice. If you like the an eclectic range of friendly people and personalities this is the place to be.

Cool little spot with a few pool tables and a practically non-existent bar. Felt very trendy/hipster to my OG brain so I went downstairs and had a great time at Golden Horn.

They scammed me out of money. Paid for a drink that was $4. Was never given a receipt to sign (I was never asked if I wanted to keep the tab open or closed by the way) and then I check my bank account to see a charge of $6.50. Instead of just relying on honest tips, they’d rather keep the receipt and then charge your card extra. Wonder how long they’ve been getting away with this. Always check your bank account after coming here!!!
