We chose The Vanderbilt for our daughter's 16th birthday after having come to see the space and meeting with Brittany, an event planner there. We had come to a wedding there over 10 years ago and remembered that we liked it there. We appreciated how they offered different size rooms which could accommodate our smaller size party and vision, as it was not your typical "sweet 16". We decided to have a brunch. She helped us to stay on track with the details for food selection as well as answering any questions I had immediately. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was very good. I definitely recommend the Vanderbilt for all types of different events. You won't be disappointed!

I will say this forever: please RUN, don’t walk, to book your next event at The Vanderbilt. My husband and I got married there this past Sunday during tropical storm Ophelia. Brittany and the staff went above and beyond to adjust our day-of schedule to accommodate our beautiful first looks and portraits. The food is phenomenal AND we have many friends with dietary needs, including gluten-free needs. The Vanderbilt was MORE than accommodating with those needs— everyone had a delicious meal. Seriously, I cannot sing the staff’s praises enough. Brittany was also incredibly responsive and clear with answers to questions— I had tons of questions during the process and she always responses in a timely fashion. We cannot wait to contract them for another event!!!

I had my daughter’s bridal shower this past Saturday 10/21/23. I don’t usually write reviews but this time I just had to. It was the most wonderful and seamless experience and everything they promise they delivered. The event planner, the Maitre d and All of the service personnel were exceptional. They attended to our every need and were so pleasant and wonderful to work with. The food was absolutely exceptional. We had the brunch with an ice cream sundae and brownie and cookie bar for dessert. There was not one thing that they served that was not incredible. We selected chicken Francois as our chicken dish and tortellini Alfredo for the pasta. Both were exceptional. The cookies and brownies and all the desserts were out of this world. Pastry basket and fruit at beginning were great. I can’t recommend this place more. Exceptional service, food and venue. Thank you.

We not only held my daughter’s Bridal Shower at the Vanderbilt last June 2023, we just had her Baby Shower there on October 5th, 2024 as well. Both experiences were EXCEPTIONAL! The staff was amazing. Kudos to Amanda, Brittany, Catherine and especially John (for going over and above). This cast of extraordinary personnel were like-minded and interchangeable. There were no worries of ideas changing or promises of services being broken. They all made it a point to be available at our convenience. We were married in September 2023 at the Vanderbilt and had an amazing experience! We're incredibly grateful for their ability to make our NYC beach wedding dream a beautiful reality. Guests complimented the unique location, elegant space, considerate service, and delicious, abundant food. Brittany was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the planning process. She made everything easy, and for every idea or suggestion we had, went above expectations in fulfilling it. This included coming earlier than originally planned for getting ready, executing both of our ideas for signature cocktails, ensuring all dietary needs were met, handling last-minute guest list changes with aplomb, and much more. Communication was great from the beginning all the way through to making sure we received all our items back post-event. John, as maitre-d, did a great job communicating and coordinating on the day. He was especially helpful in clarifying our plans for the entrance after happy hour (we didn't do a great job figuring this out in advance) and handled everything with kindness and flexibility. Gianna was also an amazing day-of attendant! She made sure we had everything we could possibly need or want while preparing and throughout the evening. She also put together an absolutely gorgeous "book bar" for guests to select a book and bookmark as a favor. I had a basic vision, but she transformed the area with decorative branches, crystals, and beautiful book arrangements. This was an element of the wedding that I felt especially excited about, so it was awesome to have it so beautifully executed. She was also instrumental in shooing away those pesky lanternflies, helping bustle my gown, and ensuring my husband and I actually got something to drink. She was a delightful presence all throughout the day. Every staff member at the Vanderbilt was helpful, thoughtful, and dedicated to making every detail of our day as perfect as possible. Our guests had a great time, and so did we. I will not hesitate to come back for any future events I plan, and wholeheartedly recommend the Vanderbilt to others.

We attended the New Year’s Eve party. Service was Excellent, band made the evening very entertaining. The food was good. The cocktail hour was over the top. We will definitely be coming back next year. Highly recommend.

The Vanderbilt @ South Beach made our wedding day perfect. From the inception and introductions to the final song. Our wedding planner Brittany was amazing. Her personality as always upbeat and uplifting. She made Jen and I feel so at ease.l all the time. Always reassuring us and making suggestions that were perfect and meaningful. She listened to use and what we wanted and she delivers, 110%. Every venue needs a Brittany. John the Maitre’d did everything possible to give us a seamless, stressless experience. He was making sure the staff was on point, making sure the ceremony was went unblemished. Every time I was looking for something he was right there to ask what I needed. Truly, a great guy and host and then there was Giana the bridal attendant. Geez what can I say, this young lady gave us exceptional attention. From the time we walked in, which was early by the way, to the very end. She had a glowing personality and made all In the bridal party fell at ease and provided excellent attention. A god send in this kind of business. The venue was beautifully decorated, the table layout perfect and the menu we choose with the help of Brittany, was nothing short of outstanding and succulent. Every detail was ideal and done with precision. I have to give credit to the waitstaff, bartenders and the back of the house. They killed it and their friendly, outgoing demeanors and personalities were noticed by all. I have to say a job well done by the Vanderbilt for giving Jen and I an experience that will never be forgotten.

I've attended many events (both internal and private) at the Vanderbilt and it's always cool to be here. Love the beachside feel, the view of the bridge, the staff, and the food. I'll definitely be back.

We recently had our wedding at the Vanderbilt and cannot say enough good things about it! We are STILL getting compliments about how beautiful the venue was and how everything ran so smoothly (and most importantly- how much of a good time everyone had!). From the very beginning, when we first booked, there was a complete open line of communication and everyone was more than happy to answer any questions I had. All of the receptionists were so sweet and helpful, especially Barbara, who I looked forward to visiting every month to drop off payments. Brittany, the event planner, was the kindest and most attentive event planner I have ever met. She even worked the day of my wedding and remembered every little detail and also checked in with us all night to ensure WE were enjoying ourselves. She went extremely above and beyond and we cannot thank her enough! We also wanted to shout out John, who along with Brittany, continuously checked in on us to see if we needed anything and he was so down to earth, friendly, and personable that we were so excited that he was there for our wedding. The bridal attendant, Angel was a literal ANGEL, making sure my dress stayed bustled and clean, even helping to try to get some stains out from walking before arriving at the venue. I also am still getting compliments on our choice of venue because the food was out of this world!!!! Everything was delicious! We seriously cannot thank the staff of the Vanderbilt enough, they truly helped us to have the most magical and memorable day!

This venue not only does weddings but also holiday events! I went for the Halloween event & they did an amazing job! They immerse you into the theme as soon as you arrive! The staff was dressed up, the venue was decorated, and cocktail hour had a whole skeleton for the chacuterie. It was open bar the whole night and a 3 course meal.

Everyone who attended my wedding told me it was the best wedding they ever attended. The VSB has the most attentive staff. From the moment we booked until the day came our Event Manager Brittany was an exemplary partner in planning this event. As a professional event planner myself I couldn't be happier with every aspect of their service. While I had a large wedding, the multidimensional space can easily be adapted for a much smaller and more intimate affair. Our beach ceremony was incredibly moving and the food quality is tremendous - this is truly the most beautiful venue to get married at in all of New York City. If you are an anti Staten Island snob, I dare you to spend one evening at the Vanderbilt! I am so grateful to have shared this experience with the incredible staff at the Vanderbilt!

My husband and I just recently got married at the Vanderbilt at South Beach on 10/3/25 and we had an absolute blast! We had the amazing opportunity to work with Brittany, the event planner, and she took great care of us from the very first meeting. There are no words to describe how perfect my baby shower at The Vanderbilt was, and it's all thanks to the amazing Events team and staff. Catherine was our event coordinator and she was such a pleasure to work with. She was always available to answer my millions of questions, super accommodating with everything, especially when we needed to change the floor plan a few times, and most importantly, super kind! She made planning this special moment in my life extremely easy and fun. The food was incredible, the staff was top notch and the venue was just beautiful. We have heard nothing but incredible reviews from our family and friends. They said it was the best baby shower they've ever been too and we owe that to the Vanderbilt. Don't sleep on this venue, it's an incredible one! Thank you to Catherine, and the staff for making my baby shower dreams come true!

My husband and I attended Wild Game Night for the first time on 1/22/25 and we were truly blown away. The turnout was incredible, and it was so beautiful to see so many people come together for such a meaningful cause. The food was absolutely exquisite! Every course was perfectly timed and delicious. We left beyond satisfied ❤️ The service was just as amazing. Huge shoutout to Cathy and Brittany for running such a great crew, and to Tonya, Nicolette and Daniel for being so wonderful. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and made the night feel seamless. The raffles were so much fun, and everything was organized beautifully. We’ll definitely be making this an annual tradition!

We had my daughter’s Sweet 16 on Sunday, 1/18/26 and I have to say it was I am so happy we chose to have it here. Catherine was absolutely so amazing to work with, so organized and professional as she made you feel like family. Vanderbilt at South Beach is simply the best place to have any type of event, from a wedding to a birthday party or a shower. I have had a few parties there and I just had my daughter’s baby shower last week. Everything is just perfect. The party rooms are beautiful, the food is great and the staff is the best. I just had my wedding on 10/12/25 and we had the most amazing time!! My wedding was completely stress free with the vanderbilt. Everything was seamless from the beginning when we booked 2 years ago. Brittany was so on top of everything attentive to my needs, silly questions, Late night texts. Im extremely thankful for her. I really was in shock about all my guests raving about the food and service u dont see that often at weddings. People said the food was so good they were finishing peoples left overs LOL my bridal attendant what an amazing person she was on her hands and knees multiple times changing my shoes getting me drinks. If you are like me and wanted your wedding on staten island there is no other place to do it other than the vanderbilt. Thank you again for the most perfect day. I could not have envisioned a more beautiful bridal shower for my daughter than the one we had at the Vanderbilt last week! Margaret helped me put the full plan in place and Brittany brought that plan to life…..even helping to make a dream come true by displaying mine and my sister’s wedding gowns for us (mother of the bride and godmother of the bride). The service was impeccable and our maitre ‘d, Naquan was wonderful. Such a beautiful room, overlooking the beach and the ocean on a bright sunny afternoon. Perfect bridal brunch in every way!

The food—from cocktail hour to the reception—was incredible, and we received so many compliments from our guests. One extra special moment I want to mention: a kind receptionist went above and beyond to help my husband’s grandmother to her seat and later escorted her out safely. So happy with my daughter’s communion party at the Vanderbilt! Brittany and her team did a wonderful job. I had my daughter’s baby sprinkle at The South Fin Grill and came back 8 years later! Brittany puts her heart and soul into her work ❤️ I was very stressed about this party but Brittany and her team had it all under control. There was no need to worry. They are all so friendly and accommodating. It was a beautiful party and we all had the best time! Thank you again, for making a happy time even happier! And get ready because we are coming back for her Sweet Sixteen!

We had our daughter’s golden sweet 16 at the Vanderbilt on 2/16/24. It was so special full of amazing memories. I was so stressed out with all the planning, but Brittany was such a big help with getting me through all of that to the end! John, the maitr’d was fantastic on the night of the party, very attentive. Everything we asked for, we got. The room was beautiful and we got so many compliments. Thank you for making my daughter’s dream sweet 16 come true! Also, compliments to the vendors we used: elegant touch decor, silk and fleur, Ariana Soto and co designs, sound explosions DJ, and morettis bakery.

It was decent from what I seen. I believe it to have much more potential especially being a person who attends dozens of events yearly. Also the food was average. I wasn’t the one hosting the event so I cant comment on price comparison to food and all. So a 3 star is the best I can give.

Cocktail hour is decent. Seating Layout for main room is not ideal when entertainment is located adjacent to the dancefloor in a catty-corner position. It leaves half of the party behind without proper sight or sound unless your entertainer brings additional equipment. Always room for improvement…

I attended a baby shower here and while the room was big and beautiful the food and service was atrocious. The past appetizers were only given to certain guests they never came around to some people or tables. The salad given with the meal there was no lettuce just a bunch of other things in it didn't even feel like a salad. The eggplant was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten with ricotta inside ice cold and no flavor. Then the entrée chicken Parmesan should be illegal for them to use chicken Parmesan on their menu because what I received was no chicken Parmesan it was a piece of rubber chicken topped with sauce and a little bit of cheese. My partner next to me had the steak which was portioned enough for a child. Also the fruit and cheese table consisted of very plain hummus and pita bread chips that were as stale as the 1800s. The servers were not attentive at all they seemed rather annoyed or busy. The best part of the party was a very friendly bartender she was so sweet and went out of her way to remember peoples drinks. No one at my table received any coffee or tea but instead when we asked for it they brought salt and pepper. Then we had the ice cream bar with only one young man working there by the time we waited online to get the ice cream and sit down to eat it they were ready to take our cake plates away. So now we had no coffee And being rushed to eat ice cream Sundays and cake. I can't imagine what this place cost But whatever it is do not spend your money here you will regret it.

Went to the Vanderbilt twice before over 16 years ago for Mother's Day and it was excellent. Met friends and brought my older sister for Mother's Day this past Sunday for the 2pm seating, a party of 5. The entire experience was terrible for all of us. It was not worth the cost. The pastas looked dry, food was cold, salads didn't look fresh, French toast was tasteless - tried to choose what I thought looked okay, took a few bites, l left most of what I chose. Cheeses were turning. Only thing I enjoyed was the omelette and coffee . . .thought there would be more and fresher selections, even the breads were stale - could have gone to a diner for $15.00!

IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS, I WOULD! THIS PLACE CAN NOT PUT TOGETHER AN ORGANIZED EVENT FOR THE LIFE OF THEM!! WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THEM OR THEIR INEXPERIENCED, DISHONEST LAZY STAFF!

Went to Deck The Halls holiday event last night. Was disappointed, The room did not have any holiday decorations at all, wasn’t festive in any way. Buffet dinner was ok, there weren’t any appetizers, not on the table or a buffet before dinner. Desert tables were cookies, like type you’d buy in ShopRite , fruit, and a chocolate fountain with different things to dip. Drinks were good but small. But we did have a very attentive server who we tipped well.

I see many good reviews, but sometimes you need to pay VERY close attention to the bad ones. You're promised everything when you plan your event, but you get awful, unorganized, sloppy service & more. Be careful where you spend your $, because this place is TRASH!!
