Me and my wife love Denny's, but after going to three different locations and getting terrible service, terrible food and lack of caring about the situations, we almost gave up on Denny's until we visited this location on Aug 27. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and since we've never eaten here before, we decided to give Denny's one more chance. And we weren't disappointed. Our waitress was new but she gave us the best service we've had in a very long time. Her name is Nimako. The manager, Mickey, who was cooking that evening, made it a point to come to our table and apologize for our order taking longer than expected (barely 20 minutes). Our pancakes were fluffy, the eggs and hash browns were great. He was also at the register when I was about to pay, he informed us that our check was taken care of, thanked us for coming, and happy anniversary. This is now the ONLY Denny's we will visit in San Antonio. Thank you to Mickey and his staff for their hard work and may God bless them.

Love the blueberry pancakes!! No wait for a table and my server Ellen was absolutely amazing. Fun place to hang out, relax and watch people. Judy and Jen stopped by to check on me when Ellen was on break. If you haven't tried the cookie dough pie, you really have to. I will definitely be back.

Kenasha, our waitress was soo fun & sweet! I'd drive out of my way to have her help us again! Our food was awesome. We got smothered cheese fries, which isn't on the menu anymore but the cook knew the assignment because they were the best we've had in a loooong time!! Judy is always prompt and courteous... she always asks if everything is good... Judy and Ellen always make sure that we are well taken care of ... I would not go to another place if it wasn't for them. I am very satisfied with the work and courteous work that they do and make us feel welcomed and at home.

I don’t know if she’s a shift leader or what but she ran a tight ship and I had a very enjoyable time. Would come back!

Just had the Mile High Denver Omlet Breakfast at Denny's. Except!! I had the ham, fiesta blend and sliced american cheese (fiesta blend is a blend of onions, red & green bell peppers) scattered in my hashbrowns on the grill. Then topped the hashbrowns with country gravy. I asked the cook to prepare the 3 eggs used for the omelet with shelled eggs and cook OM. If you visit ask for Moses the cook he does a fabulous job. Oops most importantly top all of it with Cholula Hot Sauce. Thank you.

This place exceeded every Denny's locations. I have never been to a Denny's with a manager that cares for her community as much as this manager does. She does Tuesday movie nights for kids and kids eat free on Tuesdays and Saturdays. If you want a place that cares about their service and make sure to make your dining experience the best in town.....come to this location!!!! The music was a cool vibe, the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and when we came in the table was ready and waiting for us because my sister called ahead of time. I pray that this place is blessed with more business and love like they showed us. :)

It's always nice to go to a restaurant that has proven consistency with their very good food, and quality service. Raven, and the staff, reminded me that San Antonio has very good people, and others that care, and always show professionalism no matter how busy it is, or how rude people can be. Thank you, Raven! The two employees I interacted with were Michael and Raven. They were both on the spot from the moment I walked in the door with friendly professionalism. I had the Pot Roast Melt sandwich with fries and it was melt in your mouth delicious, perfectly grilled and the fries were fresh and crispy. The experience was sterling!

We stopped about 10:30PM on the day before Christmas Eve. The host who greeted and served us was super friendly, upbeat, and a wonderful person to have that that evening. He made sure to come by to check on us, but not too frequently so we could decompress & enjoy our meal. The food was great. My omelet was perfectly cooked, and my SO said his brisket burger was tasty as well. We will definitely stop by this location if we are at the VA all day/evening again with my FIL. The location was easy to find, easy to enter, and exit on the access road.

I came in yesterday morning around 10am, The host (handsome guy with nice hair) educated me on the rewards program as he sat me down. My server who is by far one of the best servers I’ve ever had was Judy. She greeted me with an infectious smile and a welcoming presence. She recommended a Lumberjack which hit the spot. I was delighted and satisfied. As I’m almost ready to go she asks if I’d like to order a dessert or milkshake Togo, that if I sign up on the rewards program that I could redeem my sign up booth bucks for a free dessert or milkshake! I was sold! I downloaded the app and signed up, which was fast and easy! I redeemed my sign up points at the register for my dessert and left a very satisfied guest. What a wonderful experience! The restaurant was pretty steady by the time we got there around 7 for dinner but our waitress was on top of it! Came for brunch today and although they were very busy at 10am, the service was still very good. I enjoyed my $8.49 Loaded Breakfast Sandwich even though they no longer offer sausage patties so they added more bacon. My friend enjoyed her $8 Super Slam. I wish they wouldn’t charge so much for regular coffee, $2.79 is too much for me.

We decided as a family which was about 12 of us to go and show up on St. Patrick's Day 2022. We were told by our server that it would take some time because of the size of the party and explained how they were understaffed. Even though this was true… the food came out hot and ready to eat, and the table service was provided awesomely by awesomely by this young lady. We were able to sit all as one and in the back corner, totally left alone, able to speak at our own volumes comfortably. This was just a great experience even during this holiday and St. Patrick's Day falling on this same particular evening. It happened to be New Year's Day morning, so the restaurant was understandably quite busy. We did have to wait a bit for a table, which I anticipated, and the food took a little while to arrive, as expected. My son and I enjoyed our meals, and the service was quite good considering how busy they were. I politely requested a pitcher of water be placed at a nearby table to avoid repeated trips for refills, allowing the staff to focus on other customers, and they happily accommodated my request. This was the most pleasant experience I've had at Denny's in a long time. I'm very glad I decided to dine there despite the wait.

Went for breakfast and waited for my friend to arrive, upon waiting my waitress kept my coffee flowing very nice lady hard working trying her best to provide service for all the customers, I admired her, my friend arrived quickly took our order, we ate good gave her a good tip, regret not getting her name, thank you Ma'am.

I recently visited Denny’s at 6am to celebrate my friend’s birthday and redeem her birthday breakfast. The cook greeted us with such a warm and welcoming attitude — he was smiling, friendly, and really set a positive tone for the morning. When our waitress came to the table, my friend let her know she’d like to redeem her birthday meal. Instead of offering a simple “Happy Birthday” or welcoming us in, she immediately launched into the rules and restrictions for redeeming the meal. She even shouted across to the cook to confirm the policy, as if we were questioning her. There was no objection on our end — my friend redeems this offer every year — but the tone felt unnecessarily defensive and unfriendly. I completely understand that everyone can have an off day, but customer service and delivery matter. The interaction was disappointing and honestly reminded me why I don’t visit this location often. On a positive note, the food was hot and tasted great, and the coffee was fresh and hot as well. Kudos to the cook for his excellent attitude — it truly stood out.

Throughout our meal, she was attentive without being intrusive, checking in just the right amount for refills and to ensure everything was satisfactory. Now, let's talk about the food. Everything we ordered was delicious! The crepes were delightful, and the bourbon bacon burger with onion rings was nothing short of exquisite. But the star of the show for me was the Lumberjack Slam—it was absolutely out of this world! Even with carpet installers working on the floor, there was no disruption to the service Amanda provided. It’s clear she is dedicated to her job, and it made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great time dining at Denny's that day. Kudos to Amanda for making it such a memorable outing! I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

I don't know what it is with this place this is the 3rd time I have come here and ordered the 55+ scrambled egg and cheddar slam. I got no cheddar on my eggs and they were cold to boot I inquired to waitress Ma'am aren't these eggs supposed to come with cheddar on them. She said nothing walked away and came back with the eggs omand cheddar on a little plate see pictures. Then to top it all off the meal is 729. On the menu and they charge 8.00 plus tax for it. In my opinion with the burnt meat wrongly prepared eggs the first time and the sad excuse they sent me back out of their kitchen. It shouldn't cost me anything but my coffee seeing as that is the only thing I could enjoy

My plate came with burnt bacon and white and black hash browns. I sent it back to get the white parts crispy, but came back all black!! The server Ellen J. was very accommodating. She got her manager to get involved. Delia went and cooked my food personally to make sure I got what I wanted and ordered. They were so nice and apologetic, that I stayed and enjoyed my meal. The experience was underwhelming, not due to the food or atmosphere, but the service. You can tell when ppl are too comfortable with thier jobs. This location has ppl who feel exactly that way. I waited 12 mins before I was even approached, and waited 21 mins before I even saw my food, which was too long to wait for a salad and I waited 5 more mins before I was handed silverware. No one asked if I needed anything else, like a drink a refill either. I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time everyone else were employees.

On 6/11 no wait, food was warm and good serves. When my friend went to use the restroom, he said they were absolutely disgusting. Dirty toilet paper on the floor, etc. Restrooms were not kept clean or checked at all times. He said he would never returned!

The eggs tasted liked they were beyond expiration date, the Steak had a very unusual taste and flavor also tasted like it should have been deposited of 2 or 3 days. Our waitress spent 25 minutes talking to the table behind us and never asked if we needed anything. Needless say all the food was cold when it was delivered to our table. Wanted Dr.Pepper and found myself getting Root Beer twice so stop asking. I’ve eaten In Denny’s all over the United States and in my experience this Denny’s either needs new management or to be shut down. Omg me and my my mother went to the Denny’s over there and we ordered our food in Waco. They put way too much spaghetti sauce and very less spaghetti on her plate. It was very soupy and on my Callie club. I asked for side salad first and in for my meal, it was a cow club. It’s supposed to be fries and my order got screwed up. We’re never going back to that Denny’s again. It was horrible in the services. There’s no Parmesan cheese. We cannot find it. We’re very disgusted for that service. I’m disappointed so is my mother.

I would give zero stars ⭐️ if I could. The last 3 visits have been absolutely horrendous! 2 visits both today. I had came in around 4:45 pm and although I was the only person in the restaurant at the time it took me 10 minutes to get sat & that’s because I had to find someone to help and I sat myself. Fortunately it didn’t take long however the hash browns were way undercooked. I had the $5.99 GS, add 2 eggs, with a banana 🍌. I went and worked out and returned planning on having the same exact thing because the GM Tonya gave me a $5 off card. Not only was The manager ( Delia) was not willing to match the order but instead called me a liar ( or at least eluded to it) even after i showed her the receipt and bonus card. Disappointed doesn’t even describe how i feel right now! You don’t treat guests like that I know because I have been serving for 20 years & working in restaurants for 25. I choose Dennys because it’s decent for the price and The closest I can get to a home cooked breakfast until my apartment is ready. I did not have to return I would not return that’s how upset I am. I truly hope someone from corporate reaches out to me otherwise I’ll be reaching out to them. #DoBetter

I hadn’t been to a Denny’s in a long time (the last time was when I lived in Miami). This location in San Antonio disappointed me big time! From the moment you walk in, it smelled like marijuana. We got seated, and it smelled bad all around (like people who come in don’t shower and the smell just stays). The food… I got the Everyday Value Slam: the eggs were undercooked and runny in the middle (I found out when I was halfway through eating them). The same with the pancakes — they were not fully cooked in the middle. And of course, the coffee was super watery. It wasn’t until the third time they served us that it tasted just a little better. First and last time at this location, at least 🤢

Horrible Customer service at this location. I stepped in to get a cup of water and was told that I need to pay a quarter, come on the water is free and I don't understand the reasoning behind that so step it up Tanya (so called manager) Fyi I've been to your restaurant before and was treated like a decent human but then again I was purchasing something. So it's the money hunger before customers needs and good service at this location. Thanks for the apology I quess. S o I guess bring my own cup next time? you cheapskate!

I ordered fish and was told that it wasn't available. So I ordered chicken fried STEAK but got chicken fried chicken. (Which was way overcooked and burnt tasting.)The wait was long but we patiently waited and thanked our server. We ordered chocolate and strawberry jr shakes for my niece and nephew only to get oreo shakes. But that isn't the worst part all night I've been sick in the restroom 😭 Idk but I was really let down because my nephew loves this place..

The hash browns were severely undercooked. When brought to the attention of the waitress and the management they in fact acknowledged that you can get food poisoning from undercooked pre-prepped hash browns but did not seem interested into actually fixing the issue. We did not need a refund but wanted them to make sure they knew this could be hazardous to other patrons.

I like to go to dennys in Corpus Christi and they do an amazing job at getting the food out on time, being on time and getting our drinks whenever we run out. But when I came to San Antonio to visit my family for Christmas I really wanted some dennys so we went to Dennys #7163 around 10:30pm to go and try something new. I got the classic sampler at first wasn’t asked for a dipping sauce whatsoever I got water and hot chocolate and my dad got water. Our server kept on telling us that the kitchen is very backed up so of course we waited 30 minutes passed by our appetizer never came out. around 35-40 minutes so around 11:15pm is when our appetizer came to the table. We and wasn’t asked if we were ready to order after the appetizer came out which we were ready to order so when the server was about to walk away we had to grab his attention to order, so I got something new, the Santa Fe skillet and a side of tortillas and my dad got the moons over my hammy just the classic one we didn’t ask for add ons with the orders. I have a sore throat I needed water the server never asked if we needed any drinks with our cups being completely empty on the very edge of the tables ready for the server to take the drinks but every time he passed by our table we never took the cups or refilled the drinks. So another 45 minutes to an hour passed by while other tables got their food and refills we didn’t and felt very neglected when the server came to our apologizing about the long I asked to get it to go and when the server finally came with out food in the to go plates it was the wrong order remind you my dad got the moons over my hammy with no add ons the order the server brings us is with avocado and cheese on the hash browns and another to go plate with a completely wrong order and toast on the side. So the server finally brings the right food out and still with the toast so I had to asked again for my tortillas then I left to pay and I asked where’s the survey is at, the manager asked if everything was fine. I was not having an amazing time waiting for my food and not having my drinks refilled the basics and I said it was fine and left. Overall do not recommend Dennys #7163.

We visited Denny’s on a Tuesday night and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. My husband and I both ordered the $8 Super Slams. He asked to upgrade his pancakes to the cinnamon roll pancakes, but they brought out the 9-grain pancakes with icing drizzled on top and tried to pass it off as the upgrade. When we brought it up to our server, she said the cooks were overwhelmed—even though the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy for $3.19, which was okay. My son got the chicken tenders and fries for $7.78, but instead of ranch, they gave him sausage gravy—no one even asked what dipping sauce we wanted. My other son ordered the Jr. waffles for $5.99, and while there were no issues with the food, we waited about 45 minutes, and still no syrup asked the waiter 4 times and nothing, so we went and paid then left and wont be comming back to this location. On top of all that, we had to ask every single time we needed drink refills. Nothing was offered or checked on proactively. We understand things happen, but the service and communication during this visit really missed the mark. We chose this location because it had good ratings, but it ended up being a poor choice.
