Con mi novia estuvimos un finde en Barcelona y queríamos probar comida típica Catalana y encontramos este restaurante que tenía muy buenas reseñas. Efectivamente hemos comido de 10 !! Todo lo que pedimos estaba excepcional. El servicio también era óptimo, los camareros siempre atentos y cuidadosos.

Hemos encargado por la web para recoger, escudella y carn d'olla exquisito todo y en su punto recién hecho al modo tradicional. La preparación en dos envases perfectamente presentado con una hoja de instrucciones y puntualmente en el horario de recogida. Excelente todo comida y organización

Restaurante de cocina principalmente tradicional catalana en el centro de Barcelona. Buena relación calidad/precio con bastantes platos a elegir. Muy bueno el rapet a la marinera y el entrecot. Los camareros ofrecen buena atención y son amables.

Sin duda un lugar a visitar si se quiere probar el sabor de la auténtica y tradicional comida catalana. El lugar es pequeño (conviene reservar) pero la atención y el detalle que hacen en el servicio es magnífico. Nosotros acudimos a probar la escudella (plato invernal de sopa de galets y plato de carnes - ver foto-) y definitivamente una delicia. Ingredientes de primer nivel, buen sazón, buenas raciones y un sabor único. No probamos otro platillo porque estuvimos llenos con este platillo, mas la torrija quemada - buena - (pero seguramente volveremos por alguno otro, como los canelones o caracoles). Precios razonables por la calidad de comida y la atención que se tiene.

Best paella and calamari I have ever had in my life. HANDS DOWN! The batter on the calamari was so light I was so blown away from the freshness. The paella was just so flavorful and delightful. No other paella has been able to top it… This was recommended to me by someone who is from Barcelona. SUPER happy we went. All the staff were so wonderful and treated us very well! We enjoyed dinner here 2 days ago. I was a little hesitant to visit at first because I saw mixed reviews on google but everything went so well - food and service! Food was served in generous portion and very tasty. Service was impeccable - they were so happy to share and assist, very friendly and attentive even though some of them may speak limited English (but not difficult to understand them, don’t worry). They knew we were sharing so they even individually plated our dishes. Fantastic! I would encourage everyone to head here and try traditional Catalan food!

Food and dessert are exceptionally tasty. Love their authentic vibe and aesthetic. A bit expensive but I couldn't find similar flavour throughout the rest of my trip, so I guess it’s worthy for its uniqueness. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, though a bit traditional and instructive. When ordered drinks at start and coffee at end, staff collected menu and turned away immediately after my husband spoke. Had to raise my volume and asked if I could order my drink. Not sure if this is an isolated case, a cultural thing or just an overly busy day. I hope they will ask everyone on the table in the future.

This is a must visit for anyone looking for traditional catalan dishes. Upon entering the restaurant, feels like being transported to a different era. The servers are all very friendly and know their food very well. Prices are very reasonable, food genuine and very good service.

We made a reservation here for our last night in Barcelona. We were looking for a traditional Catalonian meal to end our trip. The atmosphere was wonderful and the wait staff were all delightful. They were incredibly professional, attentive, and very willing to explain the menu! I love that the menu specifically marks traditional Catalonian dishes too. The food was executed well, and the kitchen timed everything perfectly. Everything came out piping hot. We ordered the soup of the day, which seemed to be something pork based with some vegetables and meats. This was a warm hug in a bowl. Absolutely our favorite dish of the meal. Incredibly homey. The escargot flavor was wonderful, but the texture wasn't what we're both familiar with based on previous escargot experiences. For our main dishes, we ordered the duck and monkfish (with garlic and chili). The duck was very tender, perfectly cooked, however the sauce leaned a little sweet for our liking. The monkfish, again, was perfectly cooked, but was just a bit plain for our liking. We finished the meal with a Catalan cream. We don't know what "good" Catalan cream is, but this was delicious!!

We headed to this spot for a company dinner, and it lived up to our expectations. We were hoping for a typical Barcelona/Catalan vibe, and we got just that. The food was great, with the cod in coffee sauce being a good choice, albeit a bit unusual. Surprisingly, I even tried some calamari, despite not usually being a fan, because it had a unique twist to it. The cod balls were also a hit. The place was cozy, on the smaller side, and a bit tucked away, adding to its charm. The service was attentive and had a solid grasp of English, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great find for a tasty meal with a touch of Barcelona flair.

We tried to walk in to this restaurant one night but it was fully booked. And we made a reservation and came back a couple days later and it was so worth it! We had quite some very delicious and special Catalonian dishes. Our waiter was super friendly he recommended us the special pastry with the sweet wine along with a bit history of it. Comida: De primero pedimos escalivada con queso de cabra para comparator. Muy bueno! De segundo fricandó y albondigas también buenas. Postre: crema catalana espectacular, coulant buenísimo pero se hizo tanto que no tenía chocolate desecho dentro. Servicio: Eran 3 camareros, el de gafas y el mas Moreno genial, servicio espectacular. El joven desde las 22:30 tenía prisa por irse y se le oía gritar todo el rato en la cocina sus bromas al personal con lo que resultaba al cabo del rato un poco molesto. Siento decirlo así pero era mi aniversario y rompió bastante el momento. Buena calidad precio.

La calidad de la comida es exquisita, pero hay que decir que un poco caro para el tipo de comida que es. Muy buen trato y recomendaciones por parte de todos los camareros. Rico las gambas al ajillo, los caracoles y el filete. Quizás es mejor ir a comer que a cenar por el tipo de comida.

This was on my to-do list for such a long time. Years, in fact. So hard to get a last-minute reservation, or a spot for 1. Celebrated because it's historic and the rare spot serving Catalan classics. I've never been 100% convinced by its menu, and as a result, have never been 100% committed to spending a reservation slot to eat here. It IS worth a visit, just to check it off your checklist. But no repeat. The food is solid, mostly. The pig trotter special was pretty good. The canelons is rich. But the love for it... I don't share the locals' adulation. The cap i pota was a little too salty. OK, but I've had better. A few blocks from here, in fact. The duck l'orange, which the waiter sweet-talked me into - sucked. Note to self - the Spanish are great at cooking many many things, duck ain't one of them. It was dry and overcooked and lacked flavor. Just a waste of stomach space. The service is biased, and I didn't find it to be great. Regulars and local celebrities get all the attention and love. The space is old, as advertised, and cramped when the restaurant is full, which is almost always. The premium in prices over other places serving similar food and the difficulty of getting a seat - make this place not worthwhile for most tourists and not practical as a regular weekly meal. Try it once. Not really worth repeating.

Esperaba encontrarme con la escudella de mi abuela (o al menos con la de Carmen Ruscadella) y no fue así.... Le faltaba mucho sabor a las carnes y verduras, plato totalmente desabrido. Sin embargo, el caldo con los galets muy bueno. Los canelones, directamente no fueron de mi agrado. Y la crema catalana, tampoco es la que recuerdo de niña en casa. Es una natilla más que consigues en cualquier restaurante de España. El pato a la naranja muy bueno y el pan de primera. Muy buena atención por parte de William. En resumen Si quiero comer cocina catalana de alta calidad, tendré que recurrir a las recetas ancestrales de mi familia materna para comer de 10 y totalmente a gusto. En mi opinión, el restaurante está sobrevalorado!

Fui hace unos días porque andaba buscando un lugar donde comer con mi perrita. Como no hay ningún cartel por fuera y muchos restauradores en Barcelona permiten la entrada de perros, entré y esperé en el mostrador de la entrada. Cuando uno de los señores me vio, vino rápidamente y me echó de mala manera mientras abría la puerta y me agarraba del hombro para dirigirme hacia la salida. Me pareció un trato bastante sobrado. Más allá de que el lugar ponga sus condiciones, es de esperar que seamos educados entre clientes y personal (y ya de paso, evitar ese contacto físico tan innecesario).
