Increíble lugar para amantes del té en pleno barrio Gótico. Ofrecen gran variedad de tes tanto que está dividida por países e incluso por tipos, dan ganas de probarlos todos!  Recomiendo dejarse asesorar, además el personal está formado y te pueden explicar la metodología que ellos procesan. El local es acogedor, el ambiente relajado. Los precios son un poco más altos que en otros sitios, pero merece la pena por la calidad de sus tes y por la atención y su buen servicio.

This is my favorite tea shop in Barcelona. I first had tea here four years ago and made sure to come back again. I really enjoyed their Japanese Christmas tea and the chai with choco. I also bought several packs of tea to take home. I will always visit this shop. It is one of the coziest places in Barcelona. 🍵 ☕️ 🫖

Only remarkable tea, large selection, great service, fair price. Wild purple buds from Ha Giang: Fantastic smell, similarly great taste, 5g enough for 1 liter cold brew! Hint: You need to cut the buds on a cutting board to create a larger surface area. Amazing.

An authentic teashop they clearly cares about the quality of their product. They have a great selection of teas. I had a gyokuro which was delicious. It's nice to be able to have multiple steeps over time. The staff were also super friendly and created a lovely atmosphere. Plus the cake was delicious with some vegan coconut ice-cream. Entirely recommended and I'll be back to try more teas and their matcha!

A new discovery (January 2025) - Small and cozy tea room with easy going ambience, reminiscent of a spa because of the aromas of the teas. They have dozens of tea varieties on the menu, some of them quite rare. The employees are knowledgeable and readily explain how to brew each type of tea, and how to consume it. At the counter in the front part of the shop, one can also buy the loose tea, pottery, as well as (Austrian!) bio chocolate. It is both entertaining and relaxing. Not quite cheap, but totally worth it. We loved the ambience so much that in a few days of our Barcelona stay we managed to visit the place twice.

Whenever I'm in Barcelona, this is my number one tea place for gong fu cha. Not only do they have a great variety of different teas from all over the world, the kind people working there also have a lot of knowledge about the teas they are serving. Prices are reasonable and you can ask for as many hot water as you like. When it is busy and there is only one person serving, it happens that you cannot sit outside, but I'd consider this an advantage to be honest, because it is very cozy inside and then you experience the real tea atmosphere. For tea lovers who want to have a little desert, they also have some food options (for me tea is the desert, so I almost never combine it with food, but it is nice that they offer this possibility, and maybe with some Chai it would go well together!). I went back home with too many bags of tea that I bought there, but it's worth it! PS they also sell beautiful hand crafted tea ware, such as Japanese Kyosu and Chinese Yixing pots.

Very calm and relaxing tea shop in middle of amazing gothic architecture. If you love tea, you will go crazy with the number of tea collections they have. I was putting close to 20k steps per day in Barcelona and this shop was like a nice reset button to relax and get to the next part of my trip.

I recently visited a cozy tea house that offered a wide selection of teas. I opted for the Chai, which was both spicy (not chilly!) and warming, making it a perfect choice on a chilly day. The atmosphere in the tea house was inviting, with the intense aroma of various teas and infusions. I also enjoyed some small pastries, which complemented the tea nicely. A really cozy atmosphere, great variety of teas, in the middle of Gothic quarter, only 6 min from the metro station Jaume 1 (yellow line). Ideal for a rainy day, like the one today. Had a great time, ordered tea called something like Power Yoga, very nice, with some spice and oat milk, just a bit too sweet for my taste. Highly recommended, although a bit pricey for every day visits.

The perfect way to catch a brief moment of serenity before delving back into the city life. Caj Chai offers knowledgeable, friendly insight into the world of fine teas. You will be well advised with the choice and preparation of each unique tea, which is lovingly served in unique pots and bowls. The atmosphere alone channels serenity, with oriental music and a fine aroma throughout. Chinese calligraphy lines the walls, as do boxes and boxes of tea varieties. As a sweet companion to your tea, there are artisanal pastries from Arabic and Ayurvedic recipes. The gluten-free chickpea pistachio was a delicious take on a halva.

Really nice place we stumbled upon while walking around the Bari Gotic. It is situated on a small, cozy, quiet square. I definitely recommend visiting for an afternoon recharge get away. The menu is unique they serve a mixture of chai and cocoa with a lot of different herbs. Chai with cocoa was a first in my life but I will definitely try it again. Staff is really nice and gives you a great deal of explanation about each item in the menu.

Una buena tetería. La oferta de los tés no es tan amplia. Atención es muy buena. Pero el ambiente un poco parece a un bar.

Para mí, este sitio es simplemente perfecto si te gusta disfrutar de una buena comida. Está en Barcelona, pero no te preocupes por perderte, porque la verdad es que es muy fácil de localizar. Lo que más me gusta es su menú, que tiene opciones para todos los gustos, y sus platos de café son tan buenos que le han dado mucha fama al lugar. Lo mejor de todo es que, a pesar de la calidad, los precios no son para nada excesivos y la relación calidad-precio es increíble. Además, es muy práctico porque aceptan casi todos los métodos de pago, desde tarjetas como Visa o American Express hasta tickets restaurante. Eso sí, un consejo: si piensas ir a una hora con mucha gente, es mucho mejor que reserves mesa con antelación. El ambiente que tiene, con una decoración tan acogedora, es sin duda lo que hace que la gente repita una y otra vez, sin importar si es verano o invierno. Es un lugar al que puedes ir perfectamente con niños, y si quieres hacerte una idea de lo rico que come allí, te recomiendo que eches un vistazo a las fotos de sus platos en su perfil de Instagram.

Primera gran experiencia, creo que fuimos bien recibidos por el propietario porque no pagamos el suplemento de terraza de 2 € por un té marroquí, así que a 6 € donde pudimos reservar una vez cada uno con mis amigos, fue perfecto. Desafortunadamente una semana después volvimos, la camarera había cambiado, así que pagamos el suplemento de 2 € (casi bien) pero solo teníamos la mitad de lo que teníamos la vez anterior, un poco problemático para los locales (incluso los demás) De lo contrario, la calidad es excelente.

Si quieres disfrutar de un buen té en Barcelona este es tu lugar. Te aconsejan de todas las variedades con mucha amabilidad. Lo único negativo sería que casi siempre está lleno y los precios aunque no son especialmente económicos, la variedad de tés lo vale.

I went several times to have tea at Caj Chai in Barcelona. I’d say it’s a good place for Chinese tea if you brew it yourself. I came to try their matcha, but honestly, it was quite disappointing. The bowl was far too large for a proper matcha serving, and the tea was so watery that it was impossible to discern the taste or quality of the matcha itself. On top of that, the water temperature was too hot for this kind of tea. I was surprised, especially knowing they also offer matcha workshops I expected a well-prepared matcha: thick, silky, foamy, and made with the right water temperature. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. On other occasions, I sat outside to drink my tea, but they allow people to smoke there, which I find quite a strange choice. I’m not talking about nearby restaurants, but about people sitting right next to me at the same table it seemed completely normal to them. I actually had to ask one person not to smoke because I was drinking tea, and surprisingly, the girl working there was fine with him smoking at the shared community table. Considering that they are associated with Global Tea Hut, which speaks about tea as medicine, this feels quite inconsistent. Especially since true tea houses around the world never allow smoking…tea and smoking simply don’t go together.

Excelente té. El servicio antes era genial. Terrible la actitud del personal, sobre todo del chico de cabello largo. Parece que nos hace el favor de atendernos en SU cafetería. Ayer fui y me dieron un chai no tan caliente y no tan potente como siempre. Le pregunté al susodicho y se ofendió. Lo tomó con cara de molestia y se lo llevó sin decir nada. Después de 10 minutos me dio un té casi hirviendo. Me pareció que era su manera de decir que no lo moleste más. Aparte de peligroso me pareció muy mal que me de un té “inbebible”. Estaba tan caliente que las algún ingrediente se pasó y como que me dormía la lengua. Como la pimienta china. Ya no hice drama, pero si yo fuera el dueño hablaría con todos los de la tarde para revisar sus procesos.

El lugar tiene variedad de tés de distintas partes de Asia. Sin embargo, pagar 7.5 € por un té me pareció bastante caro, sobre todo considerando los precios habituales en la zona El sitio en sí es bastante normal, así que el precio se siente un poco desproporcionado

Al sentarnos nadie venía a atendernos y tuvimos que pedir la carta (no había casi gente). Tardaron más de 20 minutos en servirnos y salimos decepcionados. Los chai latte muy líquidos y excesivamente dulces y nos los sirvieron en vasos de vidrio super calientes. Una taza con mango por donde coger el té hubiera sido lo más lógico. La tarta de zanahoria parecía azúcar puro y era diminuta. Solo se salvó el brownie de chocolate. Demasiado caro para la nefasta calidad. No volveremos.

Te clavan 8€ por un termo de agua caliente y un té insulso e insustancial, casi parece una broma verlo en la taza. Básicamente me parece una estafa pensada para turistas. Además el sitio es estrecho y las mesas muy bajas, se hace incómodo.

Ridículamente caro. Trampa para turistas. (No me he equivocado de lugar como sugiera la airada respuesta del propietario. El té no lo voy a juzgar porque, aunque estaba realmente asqueroso, no soy ningún entendido y debería haber pedido consejo; pero la estafa de un brownie minúsculo a casi 4€ es inaceptable. Además no estaba ni bueno).
