¡Magnífico lugar! Recomiendo reservar por adelantado ya que el lugar suele estar lleno. Es un lugar pequeño pero sorprendente. Pedí el pulpo y se queda, sin duda, en el puesto número 1 en cuanto a sabor y textura. El servicio fue bueno, la gente amable y siempre estuvieron pendientes de mi orden a pesar de que visitaba en solitario. No se pierdan esta gran experiencia foodie.

Una joyita en un edificio emblemático del Born, super íntimo rollito vintage. El servicio es genuinamente atento, cercano y exquisito. La comida estaba increíble en especial el arroz negro y los dados de patata. Una maravilla.

Descubrimiento de esos que vas andando por el Born y dices aquí. El espacio acogedor, el servicio joven pero preparado, amables y atentos. Hemos tenido la suerte de comer delante del chef… pudiendo comentar los platos que cocinaba… bravo de verdad… y la comida espectacular. Gracias por la experiencia.

Al lado de la basílica de Santa Maria del Mar se encuentra este bar pequeño donde sirven unos platos fantásticos y sorprendentes. La torrija de manzana con helado de leche de oveja era deliciosa. Trato amable del personal. Un poco ruidoso pero es ambiente normal de un bar.

Ya fui hace tiempo, y visto que comimos divinamente, quise repetir. Como imaginaba todo divino, esta vez comimos chorizo a la sidra (bueno pero no volvería a repetir), bombetas picantonas ( muy sabrosas y muy picantes), patatines al cabrales (deliciosa, con su queso cabrales y praliné de avellanas que te deja boquiabierto), y el gran descubrimiento: tuétano de vaca con tartar de atún, (sin duda un plato que tienes que probar, lleno de sabor y con un perfume que te deja con ganas de repetir). De los pocos sitios que quedan donde se puede comer bien en Ciutat Vella. Personal muy amable y lugar acogedor. 100% aconsejable, repetiremos sin duda.

We went there as a group, all the staff from our workplace, Petnat, and it was honestly a great experience from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed by Max and Matteo, who immediately made us feel at home, and there was also an Italian waitress who took great care of us all evening — friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was excellent overall, but the dates and the meat really stood out: full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and truly memorable. You could tell there was real attention to quality and detail. The cider selection was a fantastic surprise as well — well-curated and different from the usual, definitely something worth exploring. A relaxed atmosphere, great people, great food, and drinks that made the night even better. We left happy and satisfied, and it’s definitely a place we’d gladly come back to

We absolutely loved our food here! The steak was done to perfection. I ordered the octopus and it was done Perfectly. It was set on top of a type of scallop potato, which was slightly crispy, but also tender. It was set on a drizzle of sauce that was light but flavourful. For appetizer, we ordered the fresh anchovy in a vinaigrette, and it was the best one I’ve had. I’ve ordered it several times on our trip our server was so sweet and kind. She spoke English very well and explained all the dishes to us. The manager of the restaurant was also very kind and appreciative of all the positive affirmations. We were giving with regards to the restaurant. You should really try to stop here if you come to Barcelona!

El Chigre 1769 is a must visit. Our recent visit was the culinary highlights of our 11 days stay in Barcelona and Madrid. The exceptional customer service became before we even sit down: we arrive a day early, hoping to dine, and accommodating owner graciously switch our reservation on the spot. The owner highlighted the day’s specials, guiding us towards the grilled Amberjack. This proved to be an outstanding recommendation – easily one of the finest fish preparations we have had in the recent memory. The quality was consistently high; EVERY single dish we ordered was spectacular, leaving us eager to sample everything else coming out of the kitchen. Yeah, I was looking at other people’s food. Given their careful approach to seating and managing capacity, securing a reservation in advance is strongly advised.

This is Barcelona at its most perfect - suuuuuuper old venue, classic ambience, and delicioussssss tapas. Do NOT miss the pulpo, sardines and tomato bread. Location is spot on in the middle of everything, next to one of Barcelonas oldest churches. Service is great, fast, and the place is hectic when filled. There is rarely a seat available, so get there early.

This is hands-down our favorite restaurant in the city as the food is phenomenal and the staff truly go above and beyond. Do you know that bittersweet feeling when you discover your favorite place on your last night in a city? Well that’s what happened with us at El Chigre. Max was the definition of hospitality. He made us feel as though we were in his home. We were blown away by the teamwork between Max and the chef. Running this entire restaurant flawlessly. Best restaurant in Barcelona so far and worth the wait (we didn't have a reservation, waited ~30 minutes and got a bar seat around 9 PM). Up until this point (3 days in Barcelona),we've been missing the gastronomy in Madrid. El Chigre, being seafood-forward whose chefs clearly respect the freshest ingredients in their way of cooking, has won our bellies and officially put Barcelona's food scene top tier for us. Everything was executed thoughtfully, well-balanced and show cases the fresh ingredients. The cheesecake here was fantastic - seriously cheese-y and creamy smooth. Fantastic meal, fantastic team members. Our hearts and bellies are full.

Went to El Chigre for lunch on the recommendation of a friend who knows Barcelona well, and it didn’t disappoint. The interior is atmospheric and comfortable, and we were lucky to grab seats by the window, which was perfect on a hot day. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and great location... and all of it very reasonably priced. Absolutely worth a visit! We tried a range of tapas, curated meats from the Pyrenees with the bread basket, the cheese platter, and some of their specialties like the spiced bomba. The extra virgin olive oil for the toasted bread was truly top-notch, and the classic pan con tomate is a must-try. We didn’t sample the wine this time, but it’s definitely on the list for our next visit.

¡Celebramos mi cumpleaños en Chigre 1769 y fue un acierto total! El local tiene un ambiente acogedor y muy agradable, perfecto para una cena especial. Se nota que utilizan ingredientes de calidad y que los sabores están muy bien logrados. Empezamos con una tortilla con jamón que estaba sencillamente espectacular, ¡en su punto justo! Bonito local y buena comida. Comimos platillos para compartir y todo muy rico. Correcto en calidad precio. Tienen varias sidras y variedad de vinos. En la carta hay variedad pero son platos típicos asturianos con algún toque diferente y otros más clásicos. Postres tb buenos. Variedad de pescado y carne . No tienen refrescos.

Todo es de una grandisima calidad con mención especial al pescado. La lubina que hacen es la mejor que hemos comida. Para chupar hasta las espinas. Las bombas estaban buenas pero no al nivel del resto. El tuétano estaba espectacular pero era muy poca cantidad contando el precio. La ensalada de burrata ahumada muy buena. Todo ello maridado con sidra muy buena. Si le doy un 4 es por el precio y cantidades ya que para no salir con hambre recibirás un ticket altísimo

Teníamos muchas expectativas por conocer El Tigre, un restaurante que llevaba tiempo en nuestra lista para cenar. Hicimos una reserva para el sábado 20/12/25 y, al llegar, nos llevamos una gran decepción: la carta que el restaurante publica en internet, incluso en su propio sitio web, no corresponde en absoluto con la carta real ofrecida en el local. Precisamente habíamos revisado el menú con antelación para saber qué platos pedir, y al llegar nos encontramos con una reducción muy significativa de la oferta, sin ningún tipo de aviso previo. Como resultado, no pudimos pedir los platos que nos interesaban. Este es un punto muy negativo, ya que el restaurante presenta una carta distinta a la que promociona públicamente. Otro aspecto igualmente grave fue que en ningún momento se nos informó de que el restaurante considera que todos los platos son para compartir. Éramos una pareja y pedimos entrantes individuales; como platos principales, mi pareja pidió un arroz negro y yo pedí tuétano con tartar de atún. El resultado fue una experiencia muy incómoda: el arroz negro llegó primero y mi pareja lo comió solo mientras yo simplemente miraba. Mi plato llegó mucho más tarde, tras una larga espera. Al comentar esta situación con el encargado, su actitud fue poco profesional y bastante reactiva. En lugar de asumir el problema, se limitó a justificarse diciendo que “hay que saber” que los platos son para compartir. Considero inaceptable asumir que el cliente deba saber algo que no se explica ni se comunica claramente. No se puede dar por hecho que, al pedir un plato, automáticamente deba compartirse. En cuanto a la comida, no recomiendo el restaurante. No me pareció nada destacable. El único plato que realmente podría mencionar es el tuétano, aunque tardó más de una hora en ser servido. El arroz negro fue muy deficiente; no diría que de pésima calidad, pero sí muy malo. Las croquetas, mediocres, con calidad propia de un bar y no de un restaurante de este nivel de precios. Además, durante la cena, antes incluso de presentar nuestra queja, el encargado nos ofreció un vino que abrió por error, ya que no se vende por copa. Aun así, abrió la botella y nos dijo que nos lo vendía por 5 euros la copa. Todo el proceso estuvo mal gestionado y mal conducido. En resumen, fue una experiencia pésima. Gastar 86 euros para quedarme mirando cómo mi marido comía y luego que él me mirara a mí comer es algo realmente increíble e inadmisible. Jamás volvería a este restaurante ni querría repetir una experiencia así.
