Pocas veces me he comido un entrecote tan tierno, se desacía en la boca. Buena carta de vinos. El precio.... lo pagas, estás en la puerta de la catedral de Barcelona. Buena atención y buen servicio.

Muy bueno el menú del día. Incluye una entrada, plato principal, panera, postre y bebida (puede ser agua, cerveza o vino) por 17 euros (mayo 2023). Es muy abundante y ofrecen bastante variedad. Los productos parecen muy frescos. El gazpacho, por su parte, es delicioso. Está ubicado a la vuelta de la catedral de Barcelona. Buena relación precio-calidad. Recomiendo.

Comimos muy bien, todo estaba delicioso y perfectamente preparado. El personal fue muy atento y amable en todo momento, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. La relación calidad-precio es inmejorable, realmente vale la pena. Sin duda, volveremos pronto. ¡Totalmente recomendable!

I chose the Iberian ham with tomato toast and it was absolutely delicious. For my husband we requested a special menu which was accepted with a lot of kindness by the staff and the Chef cook. That menu as well was very tasty. We have no hesitation recommending this restaurant.

A great place just round the corner from the cathedral to start experiencing Barcelona. The staff will help you choose sth local, and the sound of buskers just outside the terazza (remember: there are higher prices at the terazza!) is thrilling and captivating. I’ve been there at least five times, and they’re always top class.

Food: I tried the mixed paella with seafood and chicken, it was very tasty, I recommend it. Also the wine was good, the cheesecake was decent. Service: everything was ok and I appreciate those who took care of us. The location: it looks good, they also have a terrace, but I stayed inside, they have beautiful paintings and a cute painted wall.

We stopped in for a quick lunch near Gothic quarter. Had the monkfish, "cathedral dish" (chicken and fries) and a seafood paella. Menu del dia is a nice 3 course meal for a good price. They have a ton of options to choose from! The menu is in several languages so you can pick whichever you understand best. I was overwhelmed and the lady recommended the seafood paella. Great choice! I put 4 stars for atmosphere because we sat outside and it was noisy with trucks and lots of flies and pigeons but that's spain. Actually the food is a bit cheaper if you sit inside so maybe do that unless you want to people watch. Would come again for sure.

I stopped to read reviews before I asked for a table, and was hesitant, based upon a number of poor reviews, especially with regards to the service. I was very pleasantly surprised. The waiters, especially Juan, were courteous, attentive and professional. Very nice ambience When I ordered paella, I was reminded that it would take 20 minutes to prepare, as stated on the menu. Paella was one of the pricier options on the menu Time passed quickly, as I munched on olives and drank sangria. The paella was quite good; although a bit bland. It would have benefited from the use of a more concentrated seafood broth. Nonetheless it was tasty, and a good choice for the price. It is neither cheap nor expensive, for the food and service provided. 36 euro for olives, paella, sangria, bottled water and cafe latte. I would recommend this establishment without hesitation.

We enjoyed the music by the terrace. The great food as usual that Barcelona never disappoints. We were extremely impressed with the owner who willingly helps his staff & not just seen ordering people around. We saw him bring our food, take out trash & even if they were about to close, set the table for one of his staff’s family when they arrived. Hazel who is our server is extremely pleasant with great food suggestions even if it was only her 2nd day on the job. We highly recommend this place! Thank you 😊

Cuando quedo con mis hermanas en Barcelona siempre vamos a comer al Café d'en Víctor. La comida (menú) siempre buena. El servicio depende quien te toque. Una camarera siempre muy amable, pero si te toca otra ... Está vez no quedaba crema catalana para postre. Estábamos muy tristes, pero nuestra camarera favorita nos consiguió 3 cremas catalanas. Un restaurante cerca de la catedral, paramos para comer ensalada y arroz caldoso. El precio es un poco caro por la zona donde está. Al Menos nos dieron toallita para las manos, yo pondría las toallitas más grandes de más calidad ya que se paga bastante.

I recently dined at a restaurant with a wide-ranging menu and an outdoor terrace where street performers, including a talented Spanish guitarist/singer, regularly entertain guests. I would rate my experience 4 out of 5 stars. Upon arrival, I enjoyed refreshing Sangria while ordering a beef burger for myself and a chicken burger for my dining companion. We also indulged in some delicious patatas bravas. Although the food was good, it did not reach a 5-star level. It is worth noting that the waiter did not inquire about how I wanted my burger cooked, and the meat in the burger I received was well-done. Despite the bustling atmosphere and busy waitstaff - our waiter Juan was attentive - the service was satisfactory but fell short of being exceptional. However, the highlight of our visit was the fantastic performance by the musician nearby. His music elevated our lunch experience and added to the ambiance of the restaurant. In conclusion, this restaurant is a lovely spot for a pleasant lunch, especially if you appreciate live music and outdoor dining. I recommend it for those looking to enjoy good food and entertainment on a sunny day.

This small café near the Gothic Quarter was a great find. It was very busy at lunchtime, but we were able to snag a table outside. Beautiful weather, great food, live music, and people strolling into the Gothic Quarter. We shared the paella and salad, both of which were delicious. We had a wonderful time at El Cafè d'en Víctor. The restaurant is located in a charming street near the Gothic Quarter and has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast and efficient. The food was delicious and authentic, especially the paella, which was cooked to perfection and had generous portions of seafood and meat. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food, and the outdoor seating was a nice bonus. Great customer care, neat, formal and serene place for a classy dinner. Our waiter was John. His sense of humour was on point and made us enjoy our meal and drinks. He was friendly and helpful in our selection of food and drinks. The seafood platter and the seafood noodles was great. We (7 adults and a six year old child) had a great experience and will definitely go back there when we come back to Barcelona. The food and service was so great i forgot to take pictures. Totally worth the cost of the meal.

We ordered tapas, drinks, and the main course in this restaurant . The food was tasty, the portion size was big, and the person who served us was also nice and friendly, though he served and charged us for an extra bottle of water which we hadn't ordered. The charges for sitting outside are more than those for inside. So, those visiting the restaurant can keep that in mind while getting seated.

Si buscas buen trato este no es el sitio, el camarero un señor moreno alto de más de 50 años, se comportó de forma muy desagradable, estábamos con mi madre (tiene más de 80 años y casi no puede andar, decidimos entrar porque en el mes de Noviembre hace frío para estar en la terraza con una señora mayor) al entrar había una mesa vacía y nos dirigimos a ella, estábamos sentando a mi madre y este mal educado falta de empatía nos dice el chico que está allí esperaba esta mesa… ( la mesa estaba vacía! Y NO había indicios de que fuese para alguien que esperaba porque dentro había más mesas vacías) el chico fue muy amable y tuvo la dignidad y empatía que le faltó al camarero y dijo no hay problema! Sentaros aquí! Y el camarero de mal modo fue hacia la barra a cotillear con el señor que estaba allí y criticarnos, diciendo que estábamos en la mesa que era para el chico etc etc… No es agradable estar esperando que te atienda quien te está criticando! Luego tuvo una charla muy relajada con el señor que estaba detrás de la barra hablaron de fútbol, NUNCA SE ACERCÓ A PREGUNTAR QUÉ QUERÍAMOS! Tuvimos que llamar a una camarera y pedirle a ella… Luego nos trajo el chocolate con churros cuando le dio la gana, ( ya se había enfriado) No puedo comentar de forma coherente cómo estaba el chocolate porque no estaba en condiciones (con la temperatura que se debe tomar). Tengo claro que no volveremos! Creo que es tan importante la calidad del producto COMO LA ATENCIÓN, en este caso fue espantosa! NO RECOMIENDO ESTE SITIO! @elizabethdcrodriguez

Avoid for food like the plague. For coffee not bad as it has a terrace with view of a portion pf the cathedral and spanish guitar was playing. For food, as tourist trap as it gets. You will wait a loong time to be served. All items in menu disappointed us like Tortilla, cheese and french fries with eggs. Bacon was only thing good. Coffee was good.

Food was okay, the restaurant was really busy. We had lunch course menu, the portion of food was good, the main dish (lamb and beef) was very tender. There’s no information of what sort of desserts we could choose.

Hey what fun this place turned out to be. Didn’t really want to eat on the plaza right in front of the Barcelona cathedral. This place was close to the side of the cathedral. It was the only restaurant with people at it so I thought local. Had the soup of the day and the fish of the day and all was fresh and yummy. The paella was for real. All fresh and all good . Wine was a nice surprise. Had three different waiters one was kind of hostel but the other two where very attentive. I would go back!

The food is very oily and cooked in old oil. Octopuses smell more like burn oil and are very chevy. Melted cheese is also cooked in old oil. The server was very grumpy, and he did not say single work while serving us food. Girl was nice and trying to cover for her colleague.

We had the set lunch menu and declined the option to pay 20% to sit outside. The food is generous for 3 courses at €18 but tasted a bit bland and lifeless. The highlight was the seafood dish my girlfriend ordered, my lamb chops were unseasoned and didn't seem freshly cooked. The staff were polite if not especially friendly but did seem to argue with each other alot. We went here on a recommendation, but honestly I can't recommend it myself. You're much better off at a backstreet tapas place.

Toda la magia que podria tener un bar de tapas junto a la catedral de Barcelona pisoteado por el camarero, (no la camarera que fué muy educada), un señor de entre 50 y 60 años que atiende en la terraza de mal trato y desagradable, la primera vez que fuí, pensé que quizá tenía un mal dia, pero he constatado que el señor es así. Conclusión, servicio rápido y productos de buena calidad servida con rapidez, pero por un camarero sin modales que nos estropeó la estancia, quizá vuelva, pero me sentaré en el interior, no en la terraza......

Desastre La atencion. Te doy mas detalles para que puedas mejorar. Los meseros tardaron mas de 30 minutos en atendernos, el lugar no estaba ni al 40% de su capacidad, no levantaban la cabeza para ver si los estabamos llamado, 2 veces nos tuvimos que levantar para hacer el pedido y luego para pagar. A la hora de pagar se molestaron cuando les dije que quería pagar unicamente mi parte. Yo tengo 2 restaurantes en Barcelona y he sido mesero durante 5 años, por lo cual entiendo del negocio y se que a veces uno puede estar cansado, pero así no se atiende a los clientes.

Omelette was microwaved (?!) and hence partly frozen and blistering hot at the same time. Bread & tomato was somehow toasted in such a way that you could basically use it to kill one of the pigeons on the square with. When - contrary to this post quite friendly mind you - mentioning this to the waiter after we were finished to improve their service in the future we were greeted with a cold - like the omelette one could say - ‘sorry’ and that’s it. In short: not a place to revisit

Visited this cafe today for a cup of coffee and croissant and had the worst experience with the Bartender & Waitress as they were so rude and unhelpful. They only care for business and have no human touch or compassion towards their customers. Being a cafe just opposite the cathedral, they have the least respect for mankind.

The service was fast and friendly. But the food is unfortunately not worth the money. I was bothered by the fact that the food outside is more expensive than inside. Very greasy food, the pork was very tough and dry, and the fried squid was very greasy and poorly cleaned
