I called at before 5pm to see what time they closed. They said 6pm. A few minutes later, I called several times and they disconnected the phone. I was going to order 9 breakfast burritos, so I went to Robertizos down the street instead 🤷‍♂️

Even though they can only do take out orders, their tacos are life! I had shredded beef and they were so delicious. The meat was tender and juicy (ask for napkins!) and they fried up the taco shell. The chicken burrito was really good, just be warned they don't do rice in their burros. I liked it so much, I hit them up twice in a day. Definitely a repeat!

Everything you’d expect from a casual burrito joint. Our burritos were good, the tortilla was excellent, and the portion size was beyond generous.

I recently moved to Barstow and was told I had to try Platas. The recommendation was spot on. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Service was great from start to finish, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back.

I’m from Utah and we stop here every time we’re in town! BEST breakfast burritos ever! I can’t find anything that compares

Salty food didn't care for the Red sauce on the Wet Burrito

I had such high hopes for this little Mexican food place here in Barstow ..I use to eat here all the time when I did go out for some good Mexican food ..so was eager to try it again it had been about 2 years ..the specials they had on the web site were not what they had at the store ..so the bill went up to 42 dollars instead of the specials that were offered on the web page..almost doubled and was hardly edible...the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth..won't be visiting there again..

Was looking forward to my favorite burrito from them and was very disappointed in what I received. It was a huge tortilla with very little feeling wrapped and rolled three times and the tortilla was very stale on the outside. Unfortunately I will not be back now. After years and years and years are going there, it's just gone downhill.

This was my second visit to Plata’s, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the good reviews. It feels like they’re struggling. Many reviews mention generous portions, but that wasn’t my experience-far from it. I ordered a carne asada salad, a burrito, and a coffee, which cost me $26. The salad was mostly lettuce with a tiny portion of meat, and the burrito looked small. When I opened it, I realized it was stuffed with more salad than anything else, with barely any meat. Prices are going up, but the portions are shrinking. Sadly, I won’t be going back.

I first walked in the lady taking orders was rude, not welcoming and she was getting frustrated with me for asking questions on the menu, during this time her cell phone was more important than the customer. I order bean and cheeses burrito and a Asada taco. Both items very little portians. When I went to pay I was taking to long on there ATM device she grabbed my card and the device and made the transaction herself. I do not recommend this restaurant due to poor customer service and little portions. I give this place a negative 5 stars
