Excellent Restaurant!! A great place to share with friends, family, or for family gatherings. They have tables at the bar near the entrance and spacious dining rooms inside, all simply yet elegantly decorated. The service is exceptionally friendly, always polite and eager to please, very helpful. The setting is very pleasant, right in the heart of the countryside, with ample parking. You can have a conversation at your table even when it's busy; it's not excessively noisy and is well soundproofed. Drinks are served shortly after you sit down, with appropriate glasses for each beverage and good local beer served in tall glasses. The appetizers were good: - Very good croquettes of different types, perfectly cooked. - Baked octopus, cooked to perfection with just the right flavor and texture, served with a little broth and a drizzle of oil—it's impossible not to dip your fingers in the broth. -The fried calamari was excellent, with a great texture and batter, not at all the greasy kind caused by burnt oil, so common these days. If there's one thing they would improve, it's adding a little more mayonnaise or dipping sauce; they only give you three drops, which is insufficient. We didn't order any more appetizers because we were eager to get to the rice, the house specialty. -The rice, in our case with rabbit and snails: You can tell from the aroma alone that it was cooked over vine shoots. The rabbit was very tender, and the pieces were perfectly cut. The rice was cooked just right, and you could put it in the center of the table and enjoy eating it directly from the paella pan. -The homemade desserts were very elaborate and offered a good variety of flavors. It's advisable to call ahead to make a reservation, as it's a very popular place. In conclusion, a very well-done restaurant and not at all overpriced.

🔥 Wood-fired rice dishes with a Murcian soul in a cozy setting Los Arroces del Pillo is a restaurant with several spacious rooms that revolves around its great specialty: wood-fired rice dishes. Our choice was rice with Iberian feathered pig, artichokes, and red pepper, which was outstanding: very smooth, flavorful, and generously portioned. A preparation that justifies its reputation. We also tried some of the standout starters on the menu. The baked octopus, which the restaurant claims is another of its specialties, was very tender and well-prepared, although not surprising compared to the quality of the rice dishes. The garlic clams more than delivered, and the pork cheek roll was a real surprise: crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, very well done. For dessert, we ordered curd mousse and grandmother's cake. The latter was much more successful; the mousse, on the other hand, barely resembled a traditional curd. The service was fast and friendly, and the unpretentious yet cozy atmosphere is well-suited to family or group meals. A very good option for those looking for traditional, flavorful rice with that distinctive taste that only firewood provides.

The place is great, the service was excellent, the waiters were very attentive, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the octopus, which was incredible, and of course the rice, which was perfect, cooked just right, and very tasty. The price is generally good, but some of the starters aren't worth the price.

We were lucky enough to be taken for lunch here last week. The food, the service, the wine were all absolutely stunning. The only dissapointment is I'm not back in Murcia for another 29 days to revisit. No its not cheap, but its still excellent value for money.

El Pillo is, without a doubt, one of the temples of rice in Murcia. The baked octopus is a true delight, tender and intensely flavorful. The Murcian salad with tuna, fresh and well-dressed, is the perfect starter. But what you'll really love are their rice dishes: the lobster rice, juicy and delicious, and the rabbit with snails, pure flavor of the land. A must-visit for lovers of good Murcian cuisine.

El pasado sábado mi pareja y yo fuimos a comer a este restaurante ya que nos lo recomendaron , el servicio era muy correcto y la comida espectacular, tuvimos un pequeño problema con un entrante que no salió del todo bien, pero la encargada nos atendió enseguida y nos dio varias soluciones de una manera muy amable , al final nos invitaron a un postre para compartir que estaba riquísimo (elegimos la tarta de queso) . El resto de la comida estaba perfecta y todo salía relativamente rápido , sin duda volveremos .

We went for rice because it's a very traditional place. We chose rabbit with snails, but it turned out to be incredibly salty. The starters were good (octopus, prawns, grilled squid, and tomato with tuna). But we spent the whole afternoon drinking water because we were thirsty. They made up for it with some desserts.

The food is very good, with excellent paellas and all the appetizers are delicious. I've provided a bill so you can see the prices. I don't give it a five because I think it's very expensive, especially the rice with ribs and chicken, at 17 euros. I would go back, but I'd order more carefully, since for a garden restaurant, I find it excessive.

It didn't quite live up to expectations, neither to the bill. The steak paella was so disappointing, but the other rabbit paella was good. The starters, drinks, and steak paella are grossly overpriced.

Ayer fuimos a comer por tercera vez a este restaurante toda la familia y aunque comimos bien, puesto que los entrantes que pedimos estaban muy buenos, me decepcionó el plato principal, el arroz con conejo, estaba pasado y las raciones eran más bien escasas. Un restaurante especializado en arroces no se puede permitir ese fallo. Cuando vino el camarero preguntando si el arroz estaba bueno, resulta violento decirlo y no dijimos nada. Las dos veces anteriores, sin embargo, tengo que decir que el mismo arroz estaba buenísimo. Ya no me fío de recomendar este sitio porque ayer me defraudó.

Hemos estado hoy domingo comiendo la familia , creo que hoy tenían más mesas y poco personal, un poco de lío al traer las bebidas , las ensaladas y el pulpo muy bueno, así como el arroz uno de verduras y otro de secreto con pluma.Perooo ha transcurrido hora y media en traer los postre y los cafés no han llegado . Estábamos en la mesa a las 14.15y los postres nos han dado más de las 17.00. Un poco mala coordinación del jefe de sala y los camareros.... Se nos ha hecho un poco largo por las esperas .Pero el arroz muy bueno.

Fuimos a probar el arroz y, aunque estaba bueno, el resto de la experiencia no acompañó. No disponen de carta de precios, algo que genera desconfianza al no saber cuánto vas a pagar hasta que llega la cuenta (más de 40€/persona). Los entrantes fueron normales y altos de precio y además, el servicio nos metió prisa para liberar la mesa.

Hemos ido varias veces y sinceramente la comida y el arroz siempre nos ha parecido buenísimos. Pero sí que es verdad que de esta última vez salimos algo desencantados. El arroz estaba bueno pero no como antes y los precios están desorbitados, si a eso le sumas que pides sin carta y sin saber los precios. La primera vez que vinimos salimos a 30€ por persona. Esta última vez hemos tocado a 50€. Y para colmo, cuando llamas para reservar (si no es un grupo de personas) solo te ofrecen dos turnos: 13:30 y 15:30… Si quiero comer a las 14:15, cómo lo hago?? Cuando llamé para reservar, la chica que me atendió me dijo que para mesas de dos personas no había posibilidad de reservar a otra hora, solo en el turno de las 13:30 o 15:30… Excepto por el arroz, lo demás ha sido bastante decepcionante. Inciso, un plato de calamares mixto 20€…

Today I had lunch with my partner and, to be honest, I was quite disappointed. First of all, the value for money leaves much to be desired; it's far too expensive for a rice dish that's just okay. But by far the worst thing is the seating arrangements. They force you to eat against the clock because you sit down at 1:30 pm and they have to get up at 3:00 pm, but the strange thing is that they only do this at some tables. The people at the next table didn't have this problem, so depending on your luck, you either get to eat in peace or in a rush. The restaurant's management of this issue is very poor.

Una pena, lo que era el pillo y en lo que se ha quedado. Es normal que la nueva gerencia necesite su tiempo pero tendrían que cerrar el salón del fondo e intentar dar servicio a menos mesas, no son capaces de gestionar tantas ( todas las mesas quejándose de la espera, el primer arroz sin sabor a nada aunque el segundo buenísimo, barras llenas de vasos sucios, peleas entre los camareros..) Los pobres camareros no podían dar más de si. De seguir así no durarán mucho. Espero que sepan reconducirlo

Me cuesta hacer esta reseña, El Pillo siempre me gustó, pero el domingo pasado fue un desastre. Al entrar me gustó el despliegue de medios, muchos camareros y todos con su pinganillo. Todo fue bien hasta que apareció uno de ellos para recomendarnos platos especiales, la mayoría con marisco. Cuando el camarero comprobó que SOLO tomariamos arroz y luego algo de brasa, perdió el interés en nuestra mesa y nos sumió en el ostracismo. Fue un auténtico calvario. Mal servicio y cero atención, no volveré. Si lo que desean es dejar el arroz y dar marisco u otras exquisiteces que lo digan y así nadie pierde el tiempo.

Disappointing. I went with my family to celebrate my father's and uncles' birthdays. It cost €40 per person, and they put us at a table next to the archway where we could barely move. In my case, I had a child behind me, the son of some Hispanic-American women, who was the rudest person I'd ever seen, banging on the table, my chair, throwing food, shouting, etc. His parents? They didn't say a word. The manager? She told us with a disgusted look that if we wanted to open a bottle of wine I'd brought, it would be an extra €3, even though we weren't even touching it and it was tucked away in the corner of the table. Oh! But when it came to telling off the rude diners at the next table, nothing. When I got fed up, I asked them to please control the child, and on top of that, I was insulted. When I finally let it go, the vulgar women of that family started making comments. The food was honestly disappointing; I expected more for the price. I wanted to order a bottle of wine, but they conveniently didn't have any of the bottles I liked at that moment, only one that cost €40... Anyway, if you're going to come here, you're better off spending your money at Finca de Santiago; you'll be better off... 0/10. Seeing the kind of people who can come in and cause this, if the place had any exclusivity, it has completely lost it. To top it all off, I never understood restaurants that don't allow children until that day. A disgrace of service, management, and atmosphere.
