Some of the best Central American Food in Kenner! I know that is a big statement, but this place is located in the original location of the legendary Chilangos Restaurant, so it has big boots to fill, and it delivers! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and they play praise and worship music in Spanish on their TV screens. Very peaceful. The star of their menu is the parrillada - grilled steak, chicken, pork chop, shrimp, smoked sausage, beans, cabbage salad, pico de gallo, and plantain slices. Such a feast - come hungry!! They have traditional mexican street tacos with onions, cilantro, and your choice of meat, and some of the best birria tacos - pan fried and stuffed with beef and cheese, with a side au jus for dipping. They have traditional pupusas - masa cakes stuffed with beans, cheese, and even chicharron (pork cracklins) - YUM!! They also have traditional honduran tacos, enchiladas, and tamales. Different from mexican style but utterly delicious. Also a must try side dish, is platano maduro - stuffed sweet plantain with refried red beans, crema, and cheese. For breakfast, try the baleadas - large flour tortilla stuffed with eggs, crema, avocado, beans, and meat of your choice. They also offer a traditional breakfast with eggs, avocado, cheese, beans, tortilla, and sweet plantains. Their tortillas are homemade, and the flour tortillas are about 12" across, and rival homemade pita and ethiopian sponge bread. Some of the best tortillas I have ever had!! Be sure to try their traditional horchata drink - rice milk and cinnamon, and their fresh juice choices like mango and passionfruit.
Tacos were made with handmade tortillas and the al pastor was delicious! Waitress was nice and very nice to look at . Tacos were $1 on tuesdaTuesday! I will be coming back 4 sure!!

My favorite restaurant w one of my favorite people!
Definitely recommend, they have new owners which have made the restaurant into a clean, comfortable establishment with great food and servers. Josselyn was very friendly! The food was great portions. We had the pollo con tajadas and the chuleta ceibeña. We also had Maracuya which is an agua fresca that was too good!

Good food.. terrible waiting time
Went in pretty late, almost before close but was able to get 3 carne asada, 3 chicken, and 3 carnitas tacos. The tacos were great. Good flavor and texture. The green sauce was very hot.
I usually go to a place next door but tried El Rinconcito instead and glad I did Probably the best Honduran breakfast I've had. I especially appreciated that that ran the marinated Flank steak (carne asada) thru a tenderizer before cooking it. Flank is loaded with flavor but can be tough. Real Tortillas and fast attentive services will have me coming back to try other items on the menu that looked interesting!

My food was okay. My family seemed to enjoy their own meals but maybe this place isn't right for me. Wouldn't go again.

We went in with a party of 5. Our bill came to $100.84, my husband went ahead and just paid what he saw on the bill however he did question why it was so expensive hence we had 3 kids who ate small plates and not full entrees. He asked me if I had cash for the tip so I went ahead and placed it on the table, when I get to the car I see they added and 18% gratuity to the bill and didn’t even tell us. Their receipt states “18% gratuity will be added on parties of 8 or more” I called the restaurant to ask why they added gratuity when we were a party of 5? The girl on the phone said, “we add it to 4 or more and we gave you a receipt” hence to say we felt robbed and tricked. Left an almost $30 tip. Very dishonest

The tacos were terrible and expensive for the low quality. Ordered Al Pastor tacos on taco Tuesday and received dried up tasteless pieces of pork. On top of that the lady neglected to tell me they raised the price from $1 to $1.49 for to go orders. Never again are we coming here.
Trashy place, terrible food, terrible Customer service. The girls working were surprisingly terribly rude. Very disappointed
Overall the food is good have been here several times. This last visit not so good. It had a bad smell like dirty mop, and got charged for plates I did not order. I was charged before seeing receipt. Also included tips which wasn't told about. Please verify receipt before paying bill. The girl refunded partial payment back.
