Great place! Super friendly, I’m always greeted with big smiles. The coffee is wonderful and the lattes are made perfectly. I work in downtown Berkeley and have gone to all the coffee shops in the area and this is by far the best.

An offshoot of the original 1951, the purveyors are super friendly and their chai latte in particular is just as mind blowing as the original. This is not your Starbucks chai.

As the mom of two little kids, coffee is the most important part of my day. I ended up at Coffee Hut after the fancy coffee place I was planning to go was closed. Glad I did! The quality of the coffee matches the swanky branding on the cart. I’m an espresso drinker, and the cappuccino was great. No line and really convenient placement. I plan to go here tomorrow, too.

Getting your coffee here is a great way to start your morning -- Imran and Ali are a joy to talk to, their espresso drinks are consistently better than Blue Bottle's (and obviously cheaper). Strongly recommend this place.

For me, often times what defines a restaurant or coffee shop are the people just as much as the food. Ali and Imran are great baristas and very hospitable people in general. But more than this, they have very unique stories as refugees building their lives in America - it's inspiring to see them try to build a small business like they have over this year. If you're going to work on BART or are going from downtown to campus, this is an awesome place to grab a quick coffee. They also have great mochi donuts and cupcakes as well.

their iced lavender oat latte cured my depression 😩 okay that’s a hyperbole but their coffee is literally so good!! i’ve tried a decent number of coffee shops in downtown berkeley and NOTHING comes even close to the quality here 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 plus they have stamp cards 😁

Fueling Up at Coffee Hut in Berkeley! During a business meeting across the bridge in Berkeley, one of my colleagues suggested a coffee break at Coffee Hut. After our morning meeting, three of us headed over to get our caffeine fix. One colleague ordered a chai latte, another chose an Americano, and I opted for a regular latte with minimal foam. The two young men working at the coffee shop were friendly and professional. Our drinks were prepared promptly and were exactly what we wanted. Their coffee has a rich, classic coffee flavor. We enjoyed our drinks as we drove back to San Francisco.

The service here is great! The guys are so nice. I personally enjoyed their almond croissant 🥐 and will definitely be back for more 😋 I paired it with their honey oat milk latte and the combination is 👌🏼
