Incredible chile rellenos! I stopped here while running erands and was met with a big smile and quick service. Hot, flavorful chicken enchilada, and the relleno was just fantastic. Will be back!

Oh my god. Finally found the best taqueria in the East Bay. The beef/carne asada was truly unforgettable. I keep trying to go back but closes so early. That’s how boss this place is. They know it.

I got 2 al pastor, carne asada and fish taco. I admit that I thought the fish was Baja fish style, but it was still good. The rest of the tacos were good as well. Free chips and salsa comes as well for dining in. The salsa can be on the spicier side.

Gallegos serves excellent, authentic Mexican food. The service is friendly and it is heart warming to know that this family owned and run business is able to stay afloat during these challenging times. Please support Gallegos and have patience when they are busy. The food is worth the wait. We love you Gallegos!

Gallegos is nice. Food is about $8 to $15ish with the "specialty plates" costing the most. The fresh water is well, fresh and the watermelon is made with real watermelon, Not powder drink mixes. Came before the lunch rush barely any wait and food came right away. But at about 12:15 while I was finishing up a line formed to order. Only concern is (a free) small chip bowl costing $1 to get more.

This is a friendly and comfortable spot. It is one of my favorite places to watch sports, especially soccer. My friends from Southern California seem to think this is the most authentic taquria in west Berkeley. The plates and alacarte items are like home cooked meals. I feel like I am with family when I am here. The salsa is just right and the chips are worthy. The crowd is friendly and makes me feel welcome. I am always pleased when I eat here. The prices are fair for the portions and quality. The clean and comfortable environment makes it easy to like this place. It dose a good business at lunch and offers good horchata. The have good bottled Mexican beer and beverages. It feels like home away from home to the taco lover.

I have been looking for a decent taqueria in the area. This one was a hit and totally worth a visit. I had a Carne Asada Burrito and my buddy had the fish tacos. We both left full and happy.

Great little place. Loved the atmosphere and the food. Very reasonable price. My 6 year-old daughter loved it too. Just wish they were open for breakfast.

Ok burritos lack in spices and flavor but all components are there

The food was okay service was all right the food is expensive they wanted $50 for two people and we only had two flautas rice and beans on each plate and two Mexican Cokes I think we should go to a real sit-down restaurant and get better service better food and better quality for Less Price I was not happy at all and that was our first time there I would not recommend

Orderd supreme Burrito. Barely noticed the beef. Never saw the guac or sour cream. Great salsa n chips. Used to be Pepito's. I loved that place.

i give this place a try i order the super carnitas burrito barely any meat no rice no guacamole lots of sour cream no hot sauce i hate to say some people are not meant for the restaurant bussiness o go back to school and learn how to make a proper burrito i never come back here thats my personal opinion.sorry

Bought a burrito that was almost $8 and it was the size of my palm what is wrong with you people. I complain and told him this burrito is way too small they said no other Taqueria makes it bigger than us, ignorant response. I will never come back to this Taqueria until they have a regular sized burrito
