We absolutely loved this place. As people who know what authentic Indian and Nepalese food tastes like, finding a good place can be sometimes difficult. This place didn’t disappoint. We went here on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn’t busy at all. We were seated promptly, and were looked after through and through. We ordered chicken momos, chicken karahi and a couple of garlic and cilantro naan. There are 8 momos in one plate. The momos were juicy, and hit the spot. Chicken karahi tasted great too, we liked that there wasn’t a lot of gravy in chicken karahi, and yet it was so flavourful. The naan was good too. To give you an idea of the portion sizes, all of this food was enough or 2 people. We also ordered the chai at the end, and it took me back to my days back home in India. The food here is truly authentic. The server was very prompt in looking after the customers. For instance, we never had to ask for water, and she kept refilling our glasses. They’ve memorabilia, and art from Nepal inside the restaurant, which lends an inviting vibe to this place. The food prices are decent considering the area and the service. Expect to spend around 25-30 dollars per person if you eat a decent meal. There is street parking outside the restaurant, and it can be tight, or so it seemed. However you can park your car close by as well and walk to the restaurant. It’s not a huge restaurant, but they do their best with the space available. They’ve a restroom inside as well. I’ll be back here whenever I’m in Berkeley again. Thank you staff and the restaurant for everything!
I’ve never had momo soup before (jhol)! It was delish. The Nepalese thali, lamb pumpkin curry, and goat cheese naan. All delicious that we ate it all before I took pics, but here are the momos.
I was in Nepal, and this place is a pleasant reminder of the incredible master under the roof of the Himalayas. Delicious, authentic, I recommend it to everyone! Dhanyabaad!
My husband and I love this spot and regularly enjoy the lunch specials here. I recently ordered the pumpkin chicken curry and he ordered the chicken saag. Both were so good that we didn’t share! Lunch specials come with white or brown rice, lentil soup (yum), and very fluffy naan. Pair with a hot chai and it’s an excellent meal.
Great food. Excellent staff! Will visit again.
The best Nepalese and Indian restaurant we've ever been to. The flavours of the dishes are on point. Very tasty and the dishes has their own character, you would know which one is the butter chicken, tikka masala even when blind folded. Some restaurants has the flavours of the dishes so close that you cant distinguish them. The prices are not cheap and servings are not big but its worth it and its satisfying.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, and some tables even are lined with white tablecloth; the seats nearing the windows look super cozy. Food came out quickly. My favorite is the lamb momos, very flavorful and unique. The naan is delicious, not too thick and crispy and light and delightfully buttery. The rogan josh is not as tomato-y as other places and quite similar to their basic curry. Best of all, it wasn't too expensive so great value for what you get, especially in the area.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berkeley. This family run restaurant serving mouth watering, authentic Nepalese food. Service is warm and friendly.
Tried and true favorite in the area! The curries are flavorful and thick, portions are super generous, and you just can't beat their special lunch menu for value. I do not usually like lentil soup, but the one they make here is magic. SO MUCH FLAVOR. Physically I am at home, mentally I am here on a cold fall day sipping a hot bowl of that soup. Staff is super friendly and fantastic too.
Best Indian food I’ve had in a while, and my new go-to dinner spot after work! Momo is squishy and delicious (especially lamb!) curry was perfectly seasoned, and the naan was so scrumptious I couldn’t stop eating it (especially cheese naan omg!)
Today was the second day we came to have dinner here. The sizzling platter was very good. My husband chicken curry with coconut. The garlic naan is very taste. We have a wonderful evening.
Such a lovely place! The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was cozy. Staff made us feel at home. Will definitely come back!”
Delicious! I don't know why we didn't come sooner. This place is a new favorite. Lentil soup is amazing. Loved the Aloo Gobi.
Yesterday we got chance to try food at Himalayan Tandoori & Curry house at Albany. Loved the taste and authentic vibes there. Momo stuffings is best there. Go and say hello to them.
This restaurant delivers a well-rounded dining experience. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared with balanced flavors and appealing presentation. Service was prompt, courteous, and consistent. The environment is pleasant, comfortable, and well-maintained, enhancing the overall experience. A solid choice for anyone seeking quality food and hospitality.
This place was amazing. The food was so authentic it honestly made me feel like I was back in Nepal. Every dish had real Nepali flavor and tasted homemade. Huge shoutout to the chef, Karun dai you can tell he really knows his craft. Also, our server Swostika was super kind, friendly, and made the experience even better. If you’re looking for real Nepali food and warm hospitality, this is the spot. Highly recommend! 🇳🇵❤️
Every time I get take out here everything is delicious! Amazing and fresh naan, great lamb vinadaloo. Everyone who works there is so kind. I wish more people would come eat here they deserve all the patronage.
Best damn naan ever! Wonderful tikka masala sauce too.

Food is great, people are welcoming, atmosphere is cozy. Highly recommend the chicken curry lunch special and the chai. The chai is the best I’ve ever had and I crave it often. Chicken curry is flavorful and filling, and among the best in the east bay. I want to try more items off the menu but I can’t help but continue to order my favorites.
I'd give it a solid 4.3/5!! I ordered the pumpkin curry, garlic and regular naan and a mango lassi The lentil soup starter was good it was not too thick and the portion was nice overall flavor was also good nothing too crazy but enjoyable The mango lassi was also good not as thick as what I have had usually but it was still very flavorful if had to critique it I wish it was a bit colder but that's just personal preference Timing of the food was good not too long waited about 15 min staff was also nice and attentive. The garlic naan is definitely worth it! It was very flavorful and not to bash on the regular naan which was also great not to crunchy not too soft it was just better in my opinion. The pumpkin curry was nice as well it did have chunks of pumpkin and alot of them in the dish which kind of took away from having a true bowl of only curry but it's alright. However it was still flavorful and complex. I would order it again if I came back Overall the food and ambiance was great I would give it a solid 8.5/10
Great place for Indian and Nepalese food, with a lot of options. I tried Paneer Tikka Masala with Brown Rice, and thought it was pretty good (although it could have been a little more spicy). Great service as well. If you don't find parking in Solano Street or simply don't want to pay, you can find some free street parking around 7-10 mins walk from the restaurant (for example, Marin Ave near the fountain).
Really delicious food and lovely service on Solano Ave. please give them a try you won’t regret it!

Very disappointed I had high hopes from all good reviews I read. Specially that I know all Pakistani restaurants serves lam, not this one. Husband ordered lam rack and specifically asked for an over well done cooked, they were still red in inside. Worst part of all it was not lam! It was beef. All the lam dishes are beef. I grew up in a farm most part of my life and my father had a meat market store I know my meats. So disappointed. Service was bad we were not welcomed in we got a weird look and pointe to a table, then asked if we would like another table I don't know just weird. Customers came in after us and got thier food first, once we got our food no one came to check on us or offered anything bad, bad service. Check my pics and see for your selfs, beef steak chops cut down size to pretended to be lam. Never again
