SoDoI Coffee Tasting House

This place had a great vibe. The gentleman that helped us was GREAT! The place coffee shop was starting to get busy. We were so entertained by watching how he was calm during this rush. He knew who's drink went to who. He wasn't rushing around like other coffee shop do with a staff of 8-10 people. We have been to many coffee shops and this one by far deserves a 10. The place was very clean. Thank you for your wonderful service. I wish you weren't so far away from us. Yes, the coffee was great!

The best coffee I’ve ever had in a coffee shop! The barista patiently and meticulously prepared the light roast ‘Magic of Arashiyama’ using a V60. The perfect cup! The chocolate croissant was warmed up nicely as well.

This place is honestly the BEST coffee for the best price here at Berkeley. They actually serve a LARGE size & the coffee actually taste AMAZING & isn’t watered down.

There was an issue with a customer acting inappropriately and i alerted the manager. she conducted everything with perfection and continues to offer students/customers the best accommodations and comfortability, aside from her beautiful and joyful personality. Manager Janice is amazing!! <3

One of my favorite coffee shops in Berkeley. It is a little tucked away, so you won't get sunlight from outdoors, but if you are looking to study/write, I find that a benefit. I really like their wooden tables and their drink offerings. They also have solid wifi.

Note: their card machine is acting up, unsure when that will be resolved but cash is faster to order!! Cute, funky space, music is not crazy loud which I LOVE! Coffee is good from what I've had (large Americano) but there are so many interesting fun options! Red ginseng latte, strawberry matcha iced latte, and red velvet latte to name a few! I'm excited with their spread. Also the ice creams look delicious and I look forward to trying them! Pastries could definitely use some work though, especially considering the pastry game that's been going on in these Bay Area cafe with Third Culture and other fantastic bakeries. Very average/subpar chocolate croissant, but honestly I'm here more for the coffee and study environment, so I stand by my 5 stars. Service is great. Aside from the slow card reader, the ladies running this place are very polite, sweet, and friendly. Absolutely love it here. 고맙습니다! 다음에 다시 올게요 ♡♡

Lovely coffee and amazing atmosphere to just come and sit. I love the vibe of the place. Would highly recommend to try the Red Velvet Mocha Frappe. A little unusual, but very very good!

Don't be in a hurry when you're going for coffee at SoDoI. They grind and hand-brew each cup to perfection. Perfection takes time :) This is coffee the way it's meant to be. Warm, rich and delicious. The atmosphere is Bohemian Coffeehouse. Enjoy!

This place has a great ambiance and really nice vibe. It's usually crowded as there's many students here but you do get seats in a while. The service is really nice even though some staff is new. Their almond danish is good but choco chip cookie is okayish. Very crispy danish! They chaga chino latte (mushroom based) is good, nothing out of the world but good coffee

This place has definitely lost it's touch over the years. Years ago, the matcha was good and also reasonably priced. A dollar per vanilla pump is criminal. The matcha isn't sweet anymore and I have to pay a few more extra dollars to make it how it once was? Ridiculous.
