This is my all time favorite!!! HanKki really is the best. Get a quick meal after school, this would your perfect spot!
Very delicious! Recommend if you want to experience Korean foods :)
Loved their army stew. Hardly any spice at all, which was perfect because I have spice tolerance worse than that of a white person
I would eat it every time I don’t know what to eat🥰. Staff there were mostly Korean, that’s why I think it to be so authentic and delicious.
This place is a hidden gem in Berkeley. Great Korean food, fresh produce and a wide variety of dishes from tofu soups to Bibimbap. I have to say I’ve never had Korean food before so I can’t say how authentic it is, but either way it’s delicious.

Hankki (previously T-toust) has been a STAPLE in my Berkeley experience. Amazing food and staff is always welcoming and sweet. I can't even count how many times the food here made me feel right at home!! The pork kimchi stew is my favorite ❤️
Wonderful choice for lunch between classes! Serve delicious food fast.
Great food and service! Definitely come back!
T'toust has become my go-to spot for authentic Korean cuisine, and their specialty, soft tofu soup, never disappoints. The variety of options, including beef, seafood, combination, sausage and ham (Spam), mushroom, or dumplings, allows for a personalized experience. I appreciate the traditional touch of serving it in a hotpot, allowing me to crack a raw egg into the soup. The generous serving with a heaping cup of rice and complimentary side dishes like kimchi and potatoes adds to the overall value. Beyond the soft tofu soup, T'toust offers a diverse menu featuring delicious items like beef bulgogi and bibimbap. The "clean-as-you-go" policy, while reflecting the norm in many Asian restaurants, contributes to a unique dining experience. The personalized touch of the owner knowing my name creates a welcoming atmosphere. As a Berkeley student, I highly recommend T'toust as one of the must-try around campus, even though the place can be a bit cramped. You come here for the incredible food, not the ambiance, making it a standout choice in the area.
best authentic korean food in berkeley hands down seafood soft tofu stew tastes just like home LA galbi was soooo good 😊 budae stew is thick and packed with ingridients. rice portions are good. could come with more banchan but great nonetheless. would be nice if we could order on snackpass for dine-in
I never leave reviews, but had to for this place. My favorite restaurant near campus by far. The Kimchi Hotpot is always a 10/10 and the service is great and kind. Always enjoy eating here.
Always a great place to eat taste, portions, and price are all amazing
Food was great, and the workers were very nice. Staff even came outside and informed us that the tablet where we should be ordering at was not in fact the same one advertising their dishes.
This place is so awesome I come here all the time The food is great and the staff are really kind :) if you want good Korean food this is my go to
I was choking on their BBQ chicken and the employee did not hesitate to jump in to help. Their face card immediately healed me, paired with the K-pop music playing in the background. Would recommend.

Gotta love Hankki. Flavor is there, nice amount of food too, kind staff and cleanliness. Convenient location too.
By far the best Korean spicy grilled chicken I’ve ever had, super nice vibe too! Portion sizes are generous too

Best kimchi fried rice in this area, and I've tried them all at this point. I can't say anything on the rest of the menu but was impressed by this dish and its cost for the portion size.

Food: fresh and delicious; the price worth the taste and value ✨ too many options and all look gooood! Service: order with kiosk and pick up at the counter; all self service Ambiance: casual, quick meal

This is a spot right across the street from campus in the alley cutting through Bancroft and Durant. It’s not the best Korean food I’ve ever had, but it’s still really delicious, and the price is very reasonable for something so close to campus. The portions are also pretty generous. Sometimes I feel like I can spend $20 on something at a restaurant and still not be filled, but they offer a lot of food for a good price. I would definitely recommend going into the physical location and ordering at the kiosks, even if you’re ordering takeout. Ordering on something like DoorDash will give you inflated prices, even if you do pickup. Even ordering on Snackpass isn’t the best because I’ve found that I don’t get the discounts/daily deals the in store kiosks do (maybe I’m tripping). It’s all self-service. You order at the kiosk, pick up your food at the counter when it’s ready, choose your utensils as needed, and then you empty and return your tray yourself. There’s also a free water dispenser for patrons and you can get ice cold water. It’s pretty consistently busy throughout most hours of the day, and people seem to be in generally good spirits. There’s kpop blasting all the time too, if you’re into that.
Super small portions of banchan :( otherwise tasty and fast!

I wanted to like this place... They have my favorite dish, tuk guk on the menu by default, without having to order it like "tuk mandu guk, no mandu" so that was pretty amazing. Unfortunately, when the soup arrived, it had about half a cup of added miscellaneous vegetables: carrots, mushrooms, onions, etc. I thought maybe I'd just misread the description on the webpage, and they'd disclosed the veggies, but no, it says, "rice cake and beef soup with eggs and scallions." No mention of carrots... for good reason. They don't belong in this soup. It's patronizing to add random vegetables to try to improve your customers health. Also, the ban chan all tasted weird. Something was off. I might come by again and give them another chance, but this first impression was not promising.
Got the sundubu jiggae and bulgogi. The dishes were tasty, but for the price I was so disappointed in the size and panchan. Don't be fooled by the stock photos. There were three side dishes with the small meal, but barely one bite of each.

No pl4nt based options. Zero. Terribly shameful and disheartening that a restaurant business in the 20th century, on our one planet, would not have a single pl4nt based option. Each menu item includes animal parts and animal products. No modification. Atmosphere was okay, as the ambient kpop music playlist is fire and the staff are kind.
