This place was amazing. The couple that was running it were so sweet and attentive. Some of the best Ramen I've had in a while!
We ordered a lot of food. All of which was delicious. I love that the spicy miso ramen was actually spicy. The kimchi was nice and sour. Some of the best kimchi I've had in a while. The service was also amazing. Super nice staff and very quick. I will 100% be coming back here and trying their entire menu.
This is my favorite place to go! The food is amazing, the hostess is so nice, and I always leave happy! I tell everyone I know about this restaurant and bring all my friends and colleagues here. Nothing is better than a bowl of hot ramen on a cold day…or even a warm day. It’s my favorite place to go for any event, occasion, and night out. I’m here almost weekly, and my order is basically memorized by the hostess at this point.
New & hot ramen place in Middletown. Raymond the owner was very nice, checked on us and introduced himself. Pictured are pork bun app, chicken curry entree and Tan Tan Ramen w/ spiced pork - everything was good, ramen was delicious, thick with a nice kick. Big space with bar seating, wooden interior decor. Would be nice for happy hour too. Wishing the place good luck!
We were in the area and craving ramen. We walked by this place and decided to have a late lunch there. The interior was surprisingly spacious. We were the only patrons there on a Wednesday. The hostess/waitress was friendly and quick. We started off with takoyaki which is a Japanese street food; it had minced octopus inside a creamy ball and lightly crunchy on the outside. There were 5 balls and these came out piping hot with a saucy topping; it was pretty good. For my entree, I had the tan tan ramen. It had sesame sauce, seasoned minced pork, scallions, and spinach. It was slightly spicy and the flavor was robust and tasty. I added an egg, because ramen always goes well with eggs. Overall, we had a good lunch there.
The ramen here was very good and flavourful. Wasn't expecting to get so much like a Phö bowl but i enjoyed it. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the chasu was juicy and melted in my mouth. I guess I went on a slow day but it was nice to be seated near the window and barely anyone in the restaurant. I also ordered Taro Boba and the boba was fresh and creamy. The juicy buns weren't really that juicy and didn't differ from their normal Bao buns but i still enjoyed them, especially with my ramen.
First time I had Ramen in a restaurant. I didn't exactly know what to order and the server was kinda helpful, but not overly helpful like I just made my best guess. I feel like they could have been more helpful. Ordered the chicken it had spinach, chives and it, what's not spicy which isn't it my thing anyway so that was good. I have nothing to compare it to ,but I was expecting something more amazing concerning the noodles, they kind of tasted resembled the noodles from like noodles you get for 4 for $1, Top Ramen?. Got a melon soda cuz that's what my date got and it's delicious like way better than what it sounds like. As an appetizer we got the pork buns? I think? They were delicious would definitely get again. The decor is gorgeous, beautiful lighting very cool place for a date. I'm going to go back again and probably try the veggie bowl. Also, was a Thursday evening around 9 and they kind of all but check this out at 9:30, asking us to pay the bill because the computers were going to be shut down at 9:30. Definitely discouraged us from ordering a drink and dessert. Well, so they probably just wanted to go home, understandably, but still. I'm not holding it against him but if it happens again :-( there are many other ramen places to give business to. I'll let you know about the other ones I try, stay tuned!
Ok, this is still only my second or third time here, and I think it's growing on me. I always feel like i'm going to walk out hungry and when I finish i'm happy I can walk at all. These bowls have more food in them than I think! Now I have a previous post regarding the bowl I had and this would be repeating that post. I think I have a found a favorite here. So aside from the food, I'd like to mention how accommodating service was here. Very friendly and attentive, without being too attentive. The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming as well, very cool inside. I do not recall if they offer outside sitting and will have to make sure to note next time I visit. If you haven't been here you should go today! If you have been here before I hope this makes you want to go back, today.
Authentic Japanese ramen. Great decor. Extremely friendly staff. I did find the ramen a little bland and the chashu seemed to be cute very thin and did not seem fresh. But the attentive staff and ambience made up for the taste. Awesome spot for large groups and they have a decent sake selection. Overall, I would recommend.
We decided to try this ramen restaurant on a whim, and while it wasn't a bad experience, it wasn't one I'd necessarily repeat. The staff was prompt and friendly, and the menu pictures were helpful in deciding what to order. However, the lack of background music created an awkward silence, and the food arrived at uneven intervals. Overall, it was just okay.
I went on my lunch break and it was a rough exchange. The place had no lights on and I was guided to sit in the back. The broth was actually delicious but was barely luke warm, if not cold. The egg was not fresh and the noodles were clumped together. I was quite excited for the food and it looked very appetizing but it was a bit of a let down.
We had pretty good ramen but were rushed extremely. We had just sat down and was asked if we knew what we were ordering. Upon saying no, we were asked only a minute later. I just wanted to enjoy dinner with my friend but was extremely rushed as the waitress seemed to be preoccupied with the two other tables there.
We stopped in for dinner while in the area and we were disappointed especially seeing all the good reviews. We were probably there for 30 minutes in total. The service was rushed and we could hear the microwave beeping then immediately getting our food brought out. We got the kimchi, gyoza, two ramens and a rice dish. The pork in the tonkatsu ramen was gray.
Looks really nice, food looked nice as well but flavor was not their when it was told to the server she kept insisting another bowl of something else but we told her no we would like something else she wouldn't listen so we just paid for the sake, chicken n kimchi which came to $37 was definitely not worth it. I will not be returning.
Very disappointed! Came here recently for lunch as we were in the area and I thought to try it given the many reviews. I was with my 7 year old son and we ordered the juicy buns and a seafood udon figuring that should be enough for the two of us. The menu says there should be 5 buns, only 4 came. When the seafood udon arrived, I was wondering where the rest of it was. It came in one of those deceptive bowls where it is narrow at the base and has a wide rim. Despite saying seafood udon, there were only 3 prawns, 2 small squid, and lots of bean sprouts with minimal udon noodles! No fish cakes, no carrots, no scallops. For $14.95 it was definitely not worth it! I only had two of the four juicy buns and my son ate the entire bowl of udon so I left hungry! Did not bother ordering anymore food as did not want to risk it and drive 45 min homes to eat a sandwich. When the bill arrived, I was overcharged on both items (was charged for a higher priced noodle item) and so please check your bill! It was not busy at all for lunch…there were only 3 tables including us and we were already eating when the other two tables came in.
