Rock solid steaks at reasonable prices. Doe's is certainly the highest class of dining at Margaritaville, but it's not expensive enough to deter casuals. With a warmly lit atmosphere, a simple menu, and plenty of tasty drinks, this is sure to have something for everyone. Appetizers are light and simple, and while a la carte prices for sides may throw some off, they're certainly worth it, and USDA Prime beef certainly doesn't hurt. The filet was thick, tender, and flavorful. Vegetables were juicy, crunchy, and tasty. Dead simple, and well worth it. If you need high quality, the step up beyond the plane, and eat at Doe's.
We had a great family night at this restaurant, Lily , our server, is amazing, she was fun, friendly, and very attentive, she didn't miss a beat, food was delicious, from the appetizers to the main course, our cocktails were awsome , and desert was HUGE delicious. We will come back here again when we return to Biloxi
Doe's Eat Place Inside Margaritaville in Biloxi On the 3rd floor (go up 2 sets of escalators) Early Bday dinner date night 😍 We FINALLY tried Doe's Eat Place and it definitely lived up to every amazing review and recommendation that was given in a local foodies group. We made reservations for 6:45 and arrived 10 min early. We were greeted immediately with smiles, they got our reservation pulled up and sat us immediately. Atmosphere was perfect for either a casual night out or a nice date night. Everything was clean and though it's a large open space it wasn't loud. Personally I feel they have an amazing selection on their menu and it made it difficult to choose where I wanted to start but then I saw their version of a French onion soup that includes filet tips. Seriously the BEST French onion soup I've ever had. I just got a cup but instantly had regrets not getting the bowl. I will go back JUST for that soup alone 🤤 My husband had the 2.5 lb Porterhouse which had the perfect char, I had the filet which was so tender it literally melted with each bite. Both were cooked perfectly, mine being med rare and his medium due to the cut. The menu offered so many amazing sides that we couldn't decide so we ordered 4 total lol. Side note... We skipped lunch and refused to eat because we wanted to make sure we could try new things. Not sure if that was a good idea, kinda like grocery shopping on an empty stomach 🫣 I had the Mac n Cheese and Fried okra. The Mac n Cheese took me a minute because I can taste the sharp cheddar but then there's another cheese that stands out but I can't quite put my finger on it. It was very good, not overly done and very light. The fried okra was perfect especially considering I am pretty picky when it comes to how I like my okra. It can't be soggy or undercooked and must have the perfect amount of crunch without being overly breaded. The only adjustment I had to make was adding a pinch of salt. My husband had their grilled asparagus and twice baked potato which he was happy with both. Everything was perfect down to the service. We definitely will be going back and highly recommend it. Also, they do offer a nice kids menu. The main Menu is al la carte and pricing is on point for the quality and cuts. Overall with tip (we always leave a minimum of 25% or more) we spent 200.00 on an amazing and unforgettable meal. That being said we did go all out being a celebration and date night. Sides (priced from $7-$10 each) could easily be shared allowing 2 generous portions and the 2.5 lb Porterhouse ($68) could easily feed 2 or even 3 people lol. Needless to say, we have leftovers for at least 2 more meals. Overall for pricing they do offer options I would think would fit many budgets depending on the meal so definitely check out their menu.
Service was warm, pleasant and delightful. Food was cooked just as ordered and specified. It was served hot and was very satisfying. Wish their were more menu options!!! Food is a bit pricey. Would recommend to those who can afford it and for special moments/occasions.
Great place to have a family dinner! Ask for Tamara and she will make you feel right at home. Tamara helped us choose menu items that were out of this world delicious. Can’t wait to visit again.
Outstanding flavorful steaks, the best on the Mississippi gulf coast. The restaurant is located on the third floor of the Margaritaville hotel. You have to traverse the family fun center on the second floor, and that can be quite the adventure.
We recently discovered Doe's when we were playing during the half off games. The filet was very tender and our server Lily was very attentive. I would highly recommend it to others.
!I and my boyfriend be her and we very very enjoyed the food be very very good and tasty!! Also the waiter his name is Mitchel be so nice with us and so friendly. Very great place! We come back for sure!!!
We had a great experience at Doe’s. It was our first time eating here and the food was amazing. Tamara was so kind and helpful. Her service was fantastic. We highly recommend!
Amazing food and amazing service. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Our server Lily was the absolute best!
This is the best meal I've had in like half a year. The mac' cheese was the reincarnation of Christ. The steak was equally is good The mac n cheese will bring world peace
Waitress was great! Atmosphere was great and food was amazing! We ordered the 6 butterfly filet, loaded baked potato, aspragus and brussle sprouts. Everything tasted great, tho I personally rather oven baked Brussel sprouts over theirs but still tasted good. Everything was prepared very well and didn't require any additional salt or pepper. We will be back I'm sure next time the wife and I are in town.
My husband and I had dinner at Doe's in Margaritaville last night, and we had a great experience. Really warm atmosphere, incredible tamales and steaks and excellent service. We will definitely be back! My filet was perfection and my husband's ribeye was excellent. Thanks Doe's!
We had an amazing experience! Our waitress Shyla was awesome! We have been at Margaritaville a week and haven't had a nicer server! We loved her! Food was perfection!
Our server was Tamera, she was so sweet and very helpful. We had a tired day at work and stop by to have our dinner and I’m telling y’all it was awesome. Food was fast and good, steak cooked on point!! Love it.
Food was deliciously great. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was exquisite. Will definitely be attending Doe’s again! Brenden was the best!
Cowboy Ribeye was incredible! Tamales were great, Doe's salad was awesome! Service by Veronica was excellent! Went on a Monday night, we were sceptical at first because there wasn't very many dining in at 8:00 pm but we were very impressed. The cowboy steak is huge and the homeade smoked au jus is the icing on the cake! Loved it, we will be back.
We recently were in to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing experience. Our server Tamara made sure our night was special. We will be sure to come back for important family events and date nights.
Delicate, tender steaks cooked to perfection. Absolutely the *best* margaritas from San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Galveston, New Orleans, Mobile, Pensacola, to Panama City. Thank you for having the best service from Stacy the bartender always making the perfect magaritas to Tamara, the best wait staff I could ever ask for.
Steaks and tamales? Who would have thought you could get both at the same place? I was skeptical being from Texas and I haven't had a good tamale since leaving there 25 years ago. Ordered the tamales with chili cheese....WOW, had to make myself stop eating them to have room for my steak. Tried the filet mignon, best steak for flavor on the Coast. We will be going back for more!
I enjoyed my anniversary dinner at Does Eat Place with a fantastic steak, and even better service. Tamara made our experience really special. She was wonderful!
An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. I got the four-course special and this is the best value I have ever seen. Three tamales to start with, and although I am not a fan of tamales, they were good. This was followed by a cup of gumbo that was rich and flavorful. Next, the steak — a high-quality 6-ounce filet that was perfectly cooked and seasoned, topped with three fried shrimp. Loaded baked potato on the side, also perfectly seasoned with a garlic salt rub on the outside of the potato. I chose a slice of peanut butter pie for dessert (included in the special) and it was a religious experience. Prices in general on the menu seemed extremely reasonable for the quality of the food. The service was excellent and our server was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return.
Make reservations! Restaurant is small and may be hard to get seating if you just walk up. Get the tamales. As a girl from the delta, I will say they were authentic and delicious. I got the filet mignon with steamed asparagus. Delicious. Unique flavor and cooked perfectly. Great environment and staff.
It seemed like most other restaurants around the coast where the pandemic had affected the staffing availability so seating was very limited. Fortunately my party was able to be seated. The appetizers were a bit so-so and the steaks were good but not great. The reason for the 5 stars though is because of the server I had Lily! She not only was accommodating to some of the needier members of my party, but she had a great sense of humor throughout the whole meal. She was also very helpful with menu choices and drink pairings. Would recommend Lily as your choice of server 10/10.
Best waiter hand down is Brendan!! 100% You want him to take care of you. Steaks are phenomenal, melt in your mouth. Could gave cut my with a spoon. Amazing 100%!!!!
We were a party of 2 and seated almost immediately. Brandon was our server and was incredibly attentive. We ordered the 10oz sirloin, cooked med. to share and it was perfect! Ordered several sides that did not disappoint. And pretty generous on the cocktails. Definitely a bonus to staying at Margaritaville in Biloxi!
Salad was very fresh! One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. My husband and I both got the 10oz Sirloin and neither our steaks had any fat on it. It had an amazing flavor and each bite got better.
This is our third dinner at Doe’s in Margaritaville. We had a dinner to celebrate my wife’s new position and the staff was very accommodating of a last minute reservation. The manager, Michael, had the kitchen add a personal touch to our meal that really made the evening. Our waitress, Shyla, was professional, attentive, and personable. Doe’s, thank you to all the staff for another great experience.
We ate here for dinner one time and it’s a definite must! Pricey but worth it. My husband and I ordered the filet mignon with asparagus, twice baked potato and greens and oh my goshhh, it all just melted in our mouths. We were so hungry, I didn’t get a moment to take a picture but the filet mignon was extremely tender and the asparagus was to die forrr. We also ordered at the table, spaghetti with meatballs and Chicken Parm which each came with bread. All was very yummy! The best part was that it was surprisingly quick service.
My husband and I frequent was restaurant about 3 to 4 times a year. We always ask for Tamara because she takes care of everything with a smile. The food was amazing as always, my main complaint if I had one would be bring back the crab meat. Thank you to those for having Tamara there every time we come in she deserves 10 stars
It was my birthday. I had spaghetti for dinner 🍽️. And I got a special mud cake for my birthday 🎁 🥳🎂. It had marshmallows covered in chocolate. It was delicious. It had marshmallow covered in chocolate for the top coat it was delicious and i shared with my family. My mom and dad had steak and the first steak was a little late and I am not saying that it was bad as it was delicious but the second steak was great,my brother had macaroni and cheese and he said it was a new the second birth of the creation of Jesus because of how good it was.
I enjoyed an amazing dinner at Doe’s Eat Place during a family vacation to Margaritaville Biloxi Ms. The food was delicious but it was our server Tamara that made our meal a truly wonderful experience. She was friendly, quick, and very knowledgeable of the menu. Tamara even suggested a wine that paired perfectly with my meal. Can’t wait to visit again!
Had a very short wait to be seated. Waitress provided great service, the tamales were an excellent appetizer. The steak was delicious as expected, I would highly recommend stopping in at Doe's if your in town
Amber Stringer was by far the best bartender I have ever had! She’s very funny, great with customers and makes the best old fashioned on the Gulf Coast. Make sure y’all go see her, she’ll keep ya laughing and make sure you get the best service possible! I will definitely be back many times in the future! Thanks Amber for being great!
I am a very picky eater especially about steaks. Doe's steaks!! I got the 6 Oz filet mignon. This steak was amazing! The best steak I have ever had. Did not need one drop of A1. Absolutely recommend.
Great place! We ate there both bites we were in town! Best steak in Biloxi hands down. Servers were very friendly and kind. We will be back
Brandon was our server and he was fantastic! Charming, professional and just an overall doll who provided exceptional service. Will come back again, just because of him!
Brandon was a rockstar!!!! Need I say more. Food was great, wine delicious, if you dont ask for Brandon when you come by, you will miss out!!!!!
We have a 17 month old— so a great place for good food with a small child. Not too fancy so you don’t feel uncomfortable with the child being there. Just really good food in a cozy and laid back atmosphere.
I really liked this place. It's definitely a good refreshment from the normal vacation food that you would find at the other margaritaville restaurants. It was classy. I would definitely recommend eating a dinner here if you stay at margaritaville. It's a steak restaurant but it also offers a lot of southern food too like fried okra, collard greens, and gumbo, etc. The food here was pretty good. The fried okra was awesome, the sauteed mushrooms were great. I didn't really like the chicken parmesean, so definitely don't go to a steak restaurant and order chicken. However I had the steak too and it was phenomenal. The service was good, our servers name was Madison and she was very sweet. Overall a good experience I feel.
Went there for my Birthday weekend, last weekend. It was so good we went to Doe's 2 nights. Brendon our server was the BEST. Uplifting sunny attitude and always looking for a way to make things better. He was so great I asked for him when we went the second night. The food OMG I can not say enough about the food. I had the catfish the first night, and it did not disappoint. The second night I had the fillet. OMG it was like an out of body experience. I have never had a steak so tender and moist and the flavor.. I won't be able to eat other steaks for a while, it was so so good. Treat yourself and go to Doe's
Service was remarkable but the food was definitely not worth the high price. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was flavorless. The noodles tasted like they were boiled in a pot with bay leaves and had no salt what so ever. And although my toast was a bit burnt, it was the best thing on my plate.
Great food! But I do not believe the 32oz. Cowboy ribeye is 32 ounces! It seamed very small. It was cooked perfectly but id be surprised if it was even 20 ounces...
Service was excellent however the steaks were over cooked. Our server graciously and promptly returned the steaks back to the kitchen but the new ones were still over cooked.
The waitng staff and everybody were great and the food tasted far above par. The only issue that I had was was my wife ended up sick after eating the shrimp. However this was a one time thing and no one else in our party got sick. The only other issue that I had was with the restroom not being in the restaurant. The restaurant bathroom was in margaritaville and it was near the pool exit which made it a very humid and nasty experience. I definitely wasn't expecting that for a restaurant like this. I do plan on going back to Biloxi in the future but I will most likely not go back here........ For the experience it was overpriced and had a very limited menu.
The steak was fantastic! They were incredibly understaffed, but the manager did a great job getting everyone happy - even had some special pasta prepared for our little ones... will go back!
Very nice place with delightful service. The steak and onion soup was phenomenal. Their tamales are delicious, as always. Three of us had different steaks, two topped with blue cheese. They were all very tasty, but my son’s sirloin looked like a juicy filet - I was amazed. My littlest even ate the steak from the kids menu, and he has never liked to eat steak before that meal. This is a must try, especially with kids.
Our waitress was very attentive and kind. The garlic bread was delicious I wish I would have been served with a dipping sauce. The steak was seasoned well and the.mac n cheese was super cheesy. The chicken parmesan did not have much flavor, the sauce was very watery and was not worth the cost.
I was torn between giving three or four stars. If I was to base it off of the food alone I would choose three stars. However, the service we experienced was good, so that is why I settled on four stars. We started out with some cocktails. My wife had a cocktail called something like "Elvis TCB Cocktail" which she really enjoyed. I had an old fashioned, which was good. We ordered the tamales as our appetizer. I am a bit of a stickler for tamales, being that I grew up in the "tamale trail" and have had some of the best tamales that there is. The tamales at Doe's was pretty good. My wife ordered the redfish oscar, I ordered the 12oz filet with a blue cheese topping and crabmeat, and we shared an order to the house mac and cheese. My wife said her redfish was good, but it was kind of a small portion. Really could have been better to have another piece of fish for the price that was paid. My steak was okay. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it wasn't bad either. The house mac and cheese was a little underwhelming. Again, it wasn't bad, but wasn't really special either. Overall, it was an okay experience, but for the price that we paid I would have expected more, especially since we have had better at other local similar restaurants at the same price range. The service that we received was really good, which was why I gave it four stars instead of three. Not saying that you shouldn't try it, but we were not "wowed" by our experience enough to say that we would go there again.
We at dinner at Doe' Steakhouse. It's a relatively small place but good atmosphere. Only 4-5 booths everything else is tables. Staff was great and took great care of us for our date night. We shared the 2.5lbs Porterhouse and it was pretty good. Probably one of the thickest steaks I've ever had which is probably why is was $68. Was it worth it? I'm in the fence. It was good and cooked exactly the way we ordered it. But a descent portion of that 2.5lbs comes from the t-bone in it. Still plenty for the wife and I to enjoy. It was a good experience but I don't think I would pay that much for a steak like that again. The drinks we got were plenty strong and the bread pudding was pretty good. I would recommend giving this place a shot, but it is in the more expensive side.
I ate at the Little Rock location before here, and this location in Biloxi didn't come close too it. The steaks weren't as flavorful, the perception of one steak for 4 people, the fries were different, didn't have Cole slaw, wasn't a larger cake option(Bundt), the chili and tamales were outstanding.the grilled onions and shrimp were flavored horribly ( no butter or garlic flavor), the mushrooms had the same seasoning as the shrimp. I was disappointed
Comparing this to other Doe's I've been to, I would rate this below average. However, it's an okay place to get dinner if you're staying in the hotel or just really need a steak. If you get the cobb, you might want to ask for the dressing on the side or light dressing; mine easily came with 2+ cups of dressing.
Restaurant is in a resort and very noisy. Too casual even though online states "business casual "for attire. Steaks are delicious!
Went here, as I am allergic to seafood and husband had been eating it for several days, so we both wanted steak. Chose this over Ruth's Chris based on experience at the restaurant in the delta. Nice atmosphere and fantastic service. Tamales were pretty good. However, loaded baked potatoes were old and warm, not hot. Filet was tender, but primary flavor was salt. NY strip was salty AND tough. Garlic bread was the best thing we ordered. Again, excellent service and I didn't send anything back, as I didn't want to mess with it. However, given Doe's reputation and price point, this meal should have been much better.
Our server was very nice but our Mac and cheese came out cold and my husband's NY strip wasn't cooked right. We chose to not bother the kitchen as they were ending the night to cook the tendons or whatever wasn't cooked on his steak. Sad because he left 35 bucks worth of steak on the plate.
Do not order this dish. It was barely edible and I really had to force it down. The lemon flavor was way too strong so it was way too bitter, way too salty, and way too spicy. Would eat here again bc my husband’s steak was delicious and my daughter liked her food. Also the chili was great. But I would not order this again.
Great hotel (Margaritaville) but there's a reason the prices arent listed in the menus. $45 10oz steak, with nothing else on the side. Just the steak. Not worth it at all. And they couldn't accommodate the room service. Lesson learned.
Not a good experience. We were there with another couple. Ordered an appetizer and salad for one couple and each ordered couple ordered steaks. The appetizer and salad and one steak was brought to the table - all togeth
For the price, you would expect more. The fact is that the food is no better quality than Texas Roadhouse. By the way, sides are not included in the meal price! So, my advice is not to eat here if you are looking for the same Doe's quality that you will find at other locations. Do not to expect to find it here! I will not eat here again. The staff was friendly but the negatives far outweigh the positives. One final note, please fix your wallpaper !
i grew up eating at Doe’s in Greenville, which is hands down the best restaurant in the Ms Delta. Doe’s in Biloxi isn’t a good restaurant. Charged a lot of money for a gristle fatty steak that was overcooked and buried in sauce. if you crave a good steak drive to greenville- so worth the drive
Steaks were delicious but the service was sub par. The tamales were served cold and my steak was warm. My wife ordered her steak medium and it came raw in the middle. Peanut butter pie was delicious.
First time I went here a month ago it was outstanding the male server was great and the food was perfect. Okay last night it took about 10 minutes to be seated with lots of tables available and even more staff. I did notice a the female server walked past the table a few times without greeting us for at least 10 mins. The food taste was great but my steak was over cooked and my potato was cold I figured they just had a bad night. So I thought to my self they could save there selfs by apologizing (that didn’t happen) another note my teenager ordered the catfish and fries were overs cooked and the catfish was under cooked (slimy) inside. I have several employees in town I am thinking this ones off the list for birthdays. Just remember for some people the manager can simply come to the table and apologize to save future business. I hope I don’t see a copy and past reply.
Ruth’s Chris prices for less than Longhorn steakhouse quality steaks and the water provided tasted like it came straight from the pool outside. All side items are additional costs so I paid 8 dollars for a child sized bowl of Mac and cheese that tasted and felt like it came straight from the microwave. Experience was good but the food quality is subpar and they have no business charging those 5 star prices. Save your money and drive to Saltgrass across the street.
The only good think we had were the tamales. My husband ordered the New York strip medium and it was very tough could not eat it, not worth the price. I had a sirloin medium and it was tough, had trouble cutting it. Steaks definitely not worth the price.
Second time at this location. Something has changed and not for the better. Food was not of the quality that I expect for the price. Service was not as good as I remember either. Im from the Delta and very familiar with the Doe's brand/history. This location is not a good representative.
Am staying at the Margaritaville Hotel in Biloxi and heard that this restaurant was "high end" for steaks and other items. Reviewed the menu and thought I'd give it a try. Went in sat at the bar where Stacy was the bartender. She's great! This review is not about her. Anyway, being as this is supposed to be a good steak location and the prices adhere to that concept I'd expected to get a good bottle of wine to pair with a great steak! Well.....not happening. Their selection consisted of plastic bottle wine, some swill they consider a house wine "39 line" or something like that, and a very lackluster selection of whites. THE "Best" they had was standard Quill Cab out of Napa and standard Charles Krug Merlot out of Napa. Both low-mid end wines at $68 per bottle. If I'm going to pay $50-$80 for a steak, I want a selection of may Silver Oak Cab (Napa, not Alexander Valley), Caymus, Duckhorn, Stags Leap, etc.....all well known wines that would sell at a place selling $75 steaks. On top of this, their wine glasses belong in a Chili's! Tiny, port like glasses. Crazy. Lastly, I did order the grilled shrimp while sipping my swill wine, and they were the tiniest shrimp you could and weren't local (6 for $14) and 2 pieces of bread. Needless to say, I wasn't interested in wasting anymore $ at this establishment so I went to BR Prime at the Beau Rivage and had a nice steak and lobster dinner w/Stags Leap SLV....dinner and wine $400 was well worth it! Anyway, the only reason this gets 2 stars is Stacy and the rest of the staff that I interacted with...very nice.
Way over priced. My $45 steak was ok but nothing special. The demi sauce it sat on was decent but very greasy feeling in the mouth. The extra crab topping was inedible due to it being filled with shells. Wife’s steak ordered medium well came out medium rare. They took it back, cut it open and recooked the same piece of meat. For that price, I would expect a new steak. Ordered a second drink that came 15 minutes after I ordered it. The place was virtually empty on a Friday night. I guess that should have been the first clue. Fooled me once but not again. Two stars because the atmosphere was pleasant and the brussel sprouts were quite good.
Was severely let down by the steak quality and flavor. Tasted old and slightly off. Very low quality of meat. Lots of grissle in my cut. Would not go back.
Top tier steakhouse price for an Applebee's quality steak. Incredibly disruptive atmosphere with children running wild. Slow service and non knowledgeable waitstaff c+ food at a- prices in a D- atmosphere would not recommend
Well... where to begin ... simply a trainwreck.. ordered drinks and the bartender did not know how to make a lemon drop in a martini glass (traditional) ... the tamales were not fresh or made anytime within the week... they tasted like no fresh tamale I had ever eaten. They were supposed to come with a chili and cheese sauce... which the server forgot ... and we knew this because the menu said it came with it and the tamales were served with saltines... now to the steak (what Doe's is known for and what we went there for) the 6oz filet was a tasteless piece of meat that you can get at any Logans chain ... the only reason for the 1 star is that the manager was courteous enough to recognize the steak was unsatisfactory and removed it from the bill ... I don't mean to be so harsh ... but for the price and expectation Doe's failed miserably
The food was AWFUL. We had the chicken parm and the chicken was terrible. The waitress was nice and the atmosphere was just a normal restaurant.
Worst service ever. Took 15 minutes before my server came to the table. She was waiting on the 2 tables that came in after we did. Steak was not cook as requested and charged for food we never ordered. After the manager came over to the table , he was no help. They were not crazy busy. Too much money for poor service
The WORST food!!! Couldn't be more disappointed with the dinner that cost just under $600. Service wasn't very good either. took an hour to bring out the kids plate of food that was ordered when we sat down. sadly the kids mac and cheese was probably the best tasting food that came out of the kitchen.
We had the most horrible service at this location. We are frequent visitors of Doe's in Baton Rouge and have never had what we had tonight. Rude staff, our order was wrong, and we had 5 different waiters. With no one coming back to make sure our meal was correct or refill drinks, we just tried to get out of there as fast as we could. We love our BR Doe's Eat Place, and we were hoping for the same service. This location definitely did not meet our expectations at all!
God save ur money!! Went there with my family of 6. Thought it was going to be great looking at their prices...Not!! Steak was really fatty. Garlic bread was burnt and the Mississippi mud cake was not good. The service ...well the lady was nice, but she was working with 4 other tables. And they had other wait staff with nothing to do but look at her and not help. It was crazy! And the place didn't have that many people there! And it took forever before ur order came out! I guess the waitres was cooking as well... because she disappeared alot! For spending over $300. U would think it was great!! Very disappointed....
Ruth’s Chris prices (REALLY expensive if you don’t know) with Waffle House steak quality. Paid for $40 T-bone and a $35 “filet mignon” that tasted more like a center cut sirloin. And since sides don’t come with the entrees, we paid $8 for a small bowl of microwaved Mac and cheese (Kraft tasted better) and like $5-6 for a baked potato that was SEVERELY lacking in flavor. Don’t waste your money here!
The WORST gumbo I've had in my life. Tasted like oil with a very small amount of rice. The so called salad was just iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and onion with a very bland house ranch. Ordered half the menu, and pretty much all of it ranged from bad to mediocre (with the exception of boilded shrimp). Please avoid this place. Nice staff, but food was not worth the price. And PLEASE bring a jacket. No reason for it to be that cold.
Our first clue should have been they didn't fry the shrimp until they were brown and the batter was greasy. The next course, the salad, was wilted. The steaks came out over cooked and the baked potatoes were warm and lumpy. They had been cooked for a while and reheated. They did try to "fix" our meal but our steak then came out undercooked and the twice baked potato was lumpy and cold. My husband exchanged his side for the vegetable medley: it was dripping in butter and tasteless. The dessert was good though. Won't be back....
As to be expected the food was very overpriced. This did not bother me given that the location of Doe's eat place was in Margaritaville and was to be expected. The disappointment was the food. I ordered the fried chicken plate (yes I know this is a steak house) thinking it would be a good option. The fries were well made and seasoned to perfection. The chicken was a different story.... When I first bit into it my first that was it must be as dry as the mojavi dessert. From then on the disappointment continued to mount. The chicken was not only incredibly dry but void of any flavor as well. Great value chicken nuggets from Walmart would have likely been more appetizing. In short, if your looking to spend $30 on a single plate of food you are better off going to other fantastic restraunts in the area or just eating the money. I bet it won't be as dry as the chicken.
The asparagus initially came out hairy but tasty when the hair was removed it came out burnt and crystallized in salt. The ny strips at most restaurants have the bone and the fat removed not here they have both remaining intact not too much very salty as well. Ribeye was salty and so was the server he was salty to. Not to mention I told staff members no white sauce on my salad and he got attitude and said u could have said ranch. I could have said the Holocaust shouldn’t have happened but it still happened.
1st off this was the worst meal I ever “tried” to eat. First off long human hair shouldn’t be in the food, it happens I know, but not in a restaurant that has the prices this place does, 2nd I’m not sure if the waiter was mad or just a full blown A!!Hat all the time, but, I don’t go into a restaurant to spend 3-400$ for a meal to be smarted off to by anyone especially the server. 3rd, my 2 pound ribeye (bone in) literally was saltier than the ocean behind the restaurant. Once the human hair was removed from the asparagus it to was brought back over whelmed by salt, even my baked potato was coated in salt. They did take most of these off the bill, but, that did not give the server the right to “get smart” with use. I will strongly recommend to that no one eat gamer!
The food was good but not good enough to make up for the experience. They had an unadvertised performer. We were seated right next to him. It was so loud we couldn't talk to one another. We had to text to communicate. We had to ask our server to keep repeating herself if he was singing. Someone who worked there came over and told him it needed to be turned down. It wasn't enough. It was still too loud. If we had wanted to see someone sing we would have went to a bar or concert. We went to a nice restaurant and paid a lot of money just to be irritated. The server was having to take care of a table of about twenty on the opposite side of the room which left us sitting and waiting when we needed refills on drink or our check so we could get out of the forced concert. It's not her fault but why have her working both sides of the room? It seemed like they needed more servers. You can get just as good of a steak elsewhere without being subjected to this assault on your ears and with better service.
Thought It would have been a nicer place to eat with good food, but I was wrong. Food did not taste well at all. Not much of a selection on the menus. Alcohol menu has more items than food. Even tried getting two deserts to go and was extremely disappointed. Nothing tasted good. They did seemed to be very understaffed also. Will not be coming back when we stay at margaritaville again....
Waitress was very friendly and attentive. This is the 2nd time eating at this doe’s. We have tried 4 restaurants so far. The steaks tasted more like a chuck roast. The meat shredded when you cut across the grain. The tamales were too spicy to eat. For $150.00, very disappointing ! They must have new cooks.
Allow me to preface this review by stating that I’m 49 years old and this is the first time I have ever left a negative review for a restaurant. One of, if not the absolute worst steaks I’ve ever attempted to eat. Seasoned well and a over cooked from the medium rare I ordered , but definitely one of the worst quality NY Strips I’ve ever encountered. It was just a terrible piece of meat to start with. I’m sure the chef did the best job he possibly could. All but three or four bites in the very center were so laden with gristle and such I spit them out. Fine dining prices but I’ve had better steaks in truckstops. In fact, I’ll go as far as to say this is in the top three worst steaks I’ve ever had. Our server was great. Unfortunately what he served was horrific.
This place was severely overrated in every way. We drove 1:30 min. on Fathers Day for a special event with our family to only be greeted with a line of confusion, when finally inside it looked like a dungeon with a view of the pool with people 1/2 dressed while trying to enjoy a upscale steak dinner of which our waitress was extremely pushy and hurried our evening. Upon receiving our meal everything and I mean EVERYTHING came out all at the same time, their was no room on the table for our main course so the server pushed our dirty plates aside to make room. It was absolutely disgusting. Then when we ate which was very little because the food was coming so fast at us the waitress came to the table and asked us what we wanted for dessert and proceeded to offer us to go containers!!!! WHAT THE HELL!! not to mention she came to the table twice during the whole meal. Pricey, Unorganized, mass confusion, and pushy if you want to pay for a dungeon this is the place to go. Food below adequate. ENJOY
Dinner started out well with the Hot Tamales. After it went down hill quick. The whipped loaded potatoes tasted like plastic. And the steaks. Ugh. Way too salty and they use a house made sauce that is not so good. A good steak doesn’t need a sauce in the first place. Talked to manager. He was nice. He listened. He asked me how to make it right. I said being that we didn’t eat much of steaks. Take those off and I’ll pay for everything else. He accepted and took them off. They may have other food that is great. I wouldn’t go for a steak again.
Absolutely the most horrible dining experience I have ever had! We waited at least 20 minutes after being seated to have anyone great us. Eventually, a waiter approached the table and excused his terrible service by saying that he was busy. The prices were off the wall absurd! I’ve been to many restaurants, including fine dining establishments, and this was by far the absolute worst! My son ordered the popcorn shrimp off of the children’s menu.It was literally frozen shrimp I could’ve bought from the dollar store, and cold burnt French fries. I ordered just an appetizer salad, and was brought a tomato cut up into 1inch thick slices, a few pieces of Iceburg lettuce, a small bit of diced cucumber, some white substances they claimed to be crab, and all of this was soaked in a vinegar dressing! HORRIBLE!!!!!
Worst steak. Cheap cut of meat full of tough grissly tendon parts impossible for the knife to cut much less eat. Then we all asked for rare and got medium rare to medium. Marinade was good but they used too much. Baked potatoes were just as bad and nine dollars a piece. This place is way over rated. Its just terrible and I hope no one ever goes to eat there. The restaurant is clean and had good seating. The service was decent but not great. For 3 people it costs over 200.00, so save your money and pick a different place.
I hate to be this person. But I spend good money EVERYTIME my family and I attend Margaritaville. We decided we wanted to try the steakhouse. It was a horrible experience. We were the only table in the restaurant with our skin color. May I remind the first table to be seated!! After sitting there 20 mins with no one greeting us; we noticed other famlies with bigger and smaller parties with the opposite skin color was getting service AS SOON AS THEY WERE SEATED!!!! It was so obvious the host had to come and ask us “has anyone greeted you guys and got your drinks!?” I said of course they haven’t! After continuing to wait another few minutes we just left. The host was a busy elder lady and she did at least ask. I don’t fault her. The vibes were off completely. My money spends just as well as others. And that wasn’t right. AT ALL! This was for my daughter’s birthday. It was humiliating. I will not be back.
Had a reservation and could not get into the parking lot due to an event. Let your patrons in to enjoy your establishment instead of them going somewhere else to spend their money.
