My family and I always come here. Although the building is not very big inside, they do a great job getting everyone in and out and also have a food truck! The food is a solid 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!! The staff is very friendly & always smiling ❤️. If you ever stop in Birmingham and looking for a good southern home cooked meal, this is the place to go & don’t forget to try their juices and cakes 🍰.

My Family and I was visiting from NC & NY, We were greeted like we were Family. The Food was so good & everything was very well seasoned. We had the Ribs, chicken, fried wings, yams, pinto beans & Mac N Cheese. All good. 10/10 by far. The BBQ was the best I ever had 👍

We are still eating at the benches across the street. We always try to support local and MANNNNN this was no wrong turn. People were nice and the food was 🔥! I had The fish, greens, Mac and cheese with okra - to share of course 😂 he had the beef tips and there was no wrong choice. My only wish is they had a sample plate- a little of everything. When your in Birmingham hit up Jasmine’s Cafe. You won’t regret it! I’ll Miss you Jasmines when I’m back in Utah craving that fish! Edit: Portions were huge! Worth every single penny spent!

I had a friend of mine pick up me a plate this past weekend and the cabbage was on my plate, now I don’t eat anything with carrots but decided to try it anyways. WOW it’s the best cabbage I have tasted ever!!!!!! I love the beef tips with rice as well. I will surely be back! They have a new customer!

Everytime me and my husband go to Jasmine's Cafe we are never disappointed with the variety of food that we have to choose from. My favorite is the beef tips and rice, with the greens, candied yams, corn muffins, while my husband loves the oxtails and rice, with the greens. The food is too delicious for words and the people behind the counter are extremely nice. Always a pleasure going there.

Another hidden jewel meat & three. This one in old Pratt City. A tiny place, geared for to go plates with darn good soul food served from their steam table. They have a daily menu and specials. Nice variety and friendly folks.

*Take-Out ONLY- CASH & CARD* 1st time visit today, Saturday and I'm glad I didn't listen to one of the reviews. The oxtails and ribs are yummy, slightly chewy but seasoned. I felt like I had food from a family cookout growing up. The baked beans w/meat & mac n cheese are good as well. The candied yams & greens are okay and I see why some wouldn't like them. With some salt the greens come to life and the yams are tolerable none the less, b/c I've had bad yams before. Cost about $42 for two 1 meat/2 sides dinners. 2nd visit was a disappointment we didnt notice until being out of the city. 2 fish dinners came up to be $30+ for 1 tilapia fillet w/ two sides each.

Went there for smothered pork chops and after waiting 20 minutes to get my order taken they say " yeah we can do smothered pork chops." OK cool. So I told them that I would wait in my car and come back in. Go back in 10 mins later and my order isn't ready. Then they say they have to drop the pork chops in the grease, I said fine. Wait 10 more mins and then now all of a sudden they're frozen. Didn't have any other entree I wanted. Settled for the Salisbury steak and even that wasn't good. The walmart banquet frozen ones are way better. Definitely a waste of 45 minutes and $16 dollars. Will never go back 😔🤦🏼‍♂️

Everything is great except for the fact that the open time online says 11 yet I sat outside for almost 20 mins past 11 along with others. I chose to go somewhere else. No food is good enough for me to wait in the rain for.

It was my first time going there I got the oxtails plate 30 dollars I had dressing and candy yams. Got home heated my food up and the dressing was so salty or whatever season they use I couldn't eat it the yam and oxtails were okay. I am just like for 30.00 the food should have been serve better and should have been to perfection. I really wanted to take it back it was raining to bad because it just spoil my whole appetite.

Trash!!!!! I really want my money back. Porkchops didn’t have NOOOO SEASONING!!!! The only thing was iight was the cabbage. 16 dollars down the garbage 🗑 I want to take my star back 🙄🙄
