Great family owned restaurant. Wife and I went for date night and it was wonderful. Loved the family dinner experience we had and the food was amazing. The appetizers hit the spot but the dinner was really where it was at. Tried the Alfredo Fettuccine with prawns and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend for anyone. The lemon artichoke pasta was also really good!
My girlfriend and I found Nilo Restaurant after visiting the Blackhawk Museum. We had the Bruschetta for our appetizer. Then we shared the Pear and Gorgonzola Salad along with the Meat Calzone. We were very surprised with how delicious, fresh, and authentic the food was. We had the Tiramisu for dessert. I recommend all these items. We did not order any drinks.
I had a great shrimp pasta. The owner/manager was on point and treated me great during my midafternoon attendance. The plaza area is full of ducks and geese. It was cleaner than I expected with that many birds but the water could use some filtering and aeration. But that’s beyond the restaurants job. I noted how pleasant the patio setting was and how varied the menu was. I would return here without question.
Enjoyed our meal a lot. Great pasta, tiramisu coffee. Reasonable prices.
Food was really fresh and favorable. Finally found a great lasagna! Plus they had an apple crisp for dessert
Good food, nice atmosphere, and a so nice and welcoming owner. Highly recommend. especially sitting outdoors

Went to Nilo's about a mont ago after my wife raved about the lunch she had there, so we came for dinner. We both had the seafood pasta, the special of the day. There was plenty of seafood (prawns, calamari, scallops and fish). Great flavor and all of the seafood was cooked perfectly. For dessert my wife had the tiramisu and I had the mango mousse. My mousse was light and tasty. My wife said that the tiramisu was the best she has had and talked about it all the way home. The owner, Kayvon, was personable and a wonderful host. Nilo's has become our new favorite restaurant, so much so that we had to get a gift certificate to give to a friend so that they could experience this wonderful restaurant.
Ultimately was very impressed with the food quality of this restaurant. This is a new restaurant in Blackhawk. My starter salad was well balanced and tastier than I expected. The entrees really were spectacular and came to us steaming hot out of the kitchen. I was jealous of how good the other dishes looked, but very happy with my red sauce seafood pasta that was seasoned perfectly, and a wonderful tomato-based flavor. Our waitress was very nice, and the pricing seemed completely reasonable.
Stopped by for a work lunch on a calm Tuesday. Place had just opened. Sat outside on their patio. Nice atmosphere. Took advantage of their lunch special that comes with a salad and your choice of pasta. Delicious dish! I believe the owner or manager was the one who took my order and was super nice. Will be back for sure. Thank you!
Amazing place, great food! Must visit, especially if you’re in the area visiting nearby museum!
Went out for pasta on a Saturday night and found this place in Blackhawk Plaza. The owner is very nice and attentive. We had the calamari, seafood pasta, burger, a calzone, and an apple crisp for dessert. It was a nice experience and we will be back.

I came with friends for lunch and shared a salad and a pasta dish. Everything was very delicious and the service was superb. Now I'm planning to come with my family for dinner to celebrate my birthday! I can't wait!

Very nice place which recently opened in Blackhawk plaza. Food was great. Prices good and convenient.

We were a little disappointed with the quality of the food compared to the price. I got the chicken pesto sandwich and the fries were just okay, kind of mealy texture. The biggest thing was that the bread was not warmed up or toasted at all- even when I make sandwiches I home I always toast the bread. And it was $20. So I just felt like I could’ve made this all better myself. My friend got the tequila chicken pasta and it was super soupy. The sauce didn’t combine with the noodles at all, they were completely separate. My other friend got the fettuccine with prawns and she said that one was better. The lady was honestly super nice, but when we asked to have 4 separate checks she was superrrr pissed. I mean as someone who has been abroad a bunch I get not being able to do that elsewhere but the one thing I love about the US is being able to split checks no issue. Plus we’re all like broke college kids lol like cut us some slack. Maybe if we ordered different stuff it would have been better

We came here for soup because my kid is wearing braces, but they don’t have any soup. The pasta is very plain, the garlic bread is burned. And there is black stuff floating in the water. Very disappointed!

The burger was raw and undercooked, but they refused to take it out of my bill. The only reasoning was that I can always ask to cook it more, which I obviously wouldn’t do because I have already eaten some of it’s undercooked parts

We won’t be back. There were no people, and there was a reason for that. My daughter ordered a kid’s burger. She didn’t finish it when she normally does. I haven’t asked her yet, but I guess it wasn’t the best. It turned out there was supposed to be soda or milk included but the server never even mentioned it. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. I love spicy food. But it was plain spicy, I couldn’t feel any other tastes of it much if there were any. Just burning hot, that’s it. I also asked for a decaf latte, but they forgot about it completely. Well, at least it wasn’t included in the bill. And the worst of all, my husband got a raw burger. He realized there was something wrong by the time the half of it was gone. It was not cooked rare, there were raw meat bits inside. They suggested to replace it, but refused to take it off the bill. We had an overtired toddler with us, so no time to wait for another burger or latte. The location is nice though, but I believe there’re much better places to eat.
The owner of this restaurant does not care about you patronizing his business, is openly rude and condescending to his customers and acts like you are doing him a favor by being there. The food is mediocre and is not made from scratch, it’s all frozen food he reheats and serves to customers. The food is low quality and overpriced. Real Italians would get sick witnessing this pathetic restaurant. Cleanliness is an issue as the floors and tables are dirty. Anyone walking by this restaurant will see its empty all day everyday, wonder why? Shut this place down once and for good. Blackhawk deserves better!
Overpriced, low quality food, bad customer service. How does this place manage to pay their rent or turn a profit? Much better options for Italian food in downtown Danville. Making pasta at home with canned pasta sauce would be better than a meal here and much cheaper too! Blackhawk deserves better than this sorry excuse for a restaurant!
Friendly waitress but truly terrible food! Never have had a bad bruschetta ever before - presentation minus 100% ! Requested garlic bread without cheese- but it had a sprinkle of cheese baked on ! The chefs definitely need to be replaced - worst 4 pasta orders ever ; watery runny sauces, absolutely no seasoning; mine promised fresh seasonal vegetables- got a bunch of frozen veggies dumped onto my pasta with the water from them. There was no oil or garlic sauce or even any fresh basil Very poor tasting food
The food was absolutely terrible. The garlic bread was just flat bread with cheese. No garlic. The pesto has something in it that tasted like blueberry muffins. We asked about this, and our server said they were "trying something new." On the way home, my mouth and my son’s mouth felt swollen and raw. We both had pesto. Never going back.
