Such a delectable restaurant to eat! Nestled at the bustling Pearl Street, this was a gem of a find for us looking for brunch. We ordered three items, the Turkish Eggs, Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the very popular Carrots. Yes, carrots. Trust me, they're worth it! The Turkish Eggs was a delight, no pun intended, with its savory poached egg floating on top of the smokey urfa chile-peppered labneh yogurt. The zaatar spiced naan makes a perfect pairing as well. The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich is good, but not as memorable. Nevertheless, it was still quite good. The fries were good, too. The carrot, however is really worth the hype! It may simply be called just "carrots" on the menu, but the taste is far more than its humble title. It's almost like sweet potatoes in its subtle sweetness but better. The combination of that urfa chile, whipped feta, pistachio, sesame, cilantro, and mint made for an exciting combination of spicy and sweetness. Yes, we had to wait until 2:30pm (we came at 1:45) to get it since it's technically not on the Brunch menu, but it was worth it. All in all, the food was great, and the service was just as great. Next time I'm in Boulder, I'll have to come here for more tasty dining!

Amazing Tiradito!!! Definitely a must if you come to dine here, the steak tartare was very salty, and drenched in sauce but wasn’t all that bad, French fries were also amazing!! (Dipped them in the Tiradito sauce (11/10!). Will (amazing bartender) was taking care of us, gave us great drink recommendations and seemed very knowledgeable on the menu! Definitely will come back next time im in town.

First time here and celebrated my birthday! The staff was attentive, kind, fun & overall just lovely. Our server was “Chris” (unsure of spelling) and he was fabulous and provided great service! The food was super good and served fresh (i think its 30 seconds from when its done in the kitchen that it gets brought to the table). Its shareable style dishes. We had the cauliflower which was incredibly flavorful and creative, the carrots which were phenomenal, the shrimp was delectable and I could bathe in the sauce its in 🤤 and the roasted chicken and fries! As well as some decadent chocolate peanut butter crunch mousse deliciousness. YUM! The lighting is low, vibes are fun and modern. I had an NA mocktail and it was super tasty as well! Thank y’all for such a wonderful experience

This is a spectacular shareable, quasi-tapas style bistro that offers eclectic flavors, combining cuisines, yet offering pedigreed options. Crispy cauliflower grants a surprise at each bite, as it's heretogrnous architecture creates a new facet of flavors at each corner. Texture on the cauliflower was gratifyingly hearty. The (what I will call "curried") hummus base was flooring in aromatics and really cuts through the flavors Burrata was brought together by the salsa verde and really carried flavor into the creamy texture of the goat cheese. Lamb arayas have a je ne se quoi (nutty from pine nuts?) quality that was stunning on the first bite. Great texture on the lamb. Pita was crispy and holds the spiced lamb well. The shrimp a la plancha features a gravy, which brings a necessary acidity to round out the meaty texture on this truly jumbo shrimp.

The atmosphere here was great. The bar on the upstairs while you wait for your table was fantastic with great bartenders. The food was great as well, especially the halibut. The crap fried rice is a bit salty so I wouldn’t do that again, but the gnocchi was fantastic! House wine is pretty good as well!

If you’re looking for amazing ambience and farm to table goodness, this is your spot! The ingredients are fresh and delicious. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. They have a very chill vibe with relaxing music. You can’t go wrong with anything you order! We especially loved the carrots, gnocchetti, trout (my mom’s fav), Delhi puffs (2 orders!), and the garlic fries. OMG!!!! I’m still thinking about it.

I was in Boulder (I live in south Florida and my colleagues are from Dallas) for an event with our non profit and decided to explore Pearl Street a bit. The Kitchen came highly recommended by the staff at the Marriott Boulder so we decided to give it a try for lunch. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table to open up but it was definitely worth the wait. I had the lobster roll and my colleagues each got the burger with an extra side of truffle fries. Let me repeat-the truffle fries-outstanding! WOW! The lobster roll was generous and classic, the burger done at a PERFECT medium rare (THANK YOU FOR NAILING THAT). The presentation was wonderful, our server was the perfect balance of friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and witty. She made a couple of great suggestions from the wine list and our overall experience was fabulous. Also noted that the music was great and at a perfect noise level for us to have a conversation yet still enjoy the music in the background.

We had brunch after Mom's race today at the Kitchen American Bistro in downtown Boulder. The service was solid, the food was great, and the restaurant was packed during brunch. We all had a wonderful experience, the french fries in particular here are out of this world!

Very popular place on Pearl Street. I sat on the patio. The inside was comfy and tables nicely spaced but the patrons were boisterous so conversations would be a little more effort. The tapas style dinner was perfect for sharing. The server was so attentive. He was nice enough to remove the umbrella for us. The distress were tasty, the size was decent and not greasy. Will come back.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much we went back the next night to try additional dinner items. Cocktails were excellent, lots of GF options. Service was great. We had Beckett. He was sociable and knew the menu. All the servers did. Loved the macaroon dessert!

We went for brunch. The food overall was very impressive. Every item we ordered tasted special and all nice surprises. The crab cake Benedict was amazing. It was made of crab meat and avocado and so far best crab cake I have ever had. The fried cauliflower had a little Indian fusion feeling with the sour tamarind-ish flavor, loved it a lot!! The baked French toast however could be a bit wetter in my opinion. I love the idea of turning French toast into bread pudding feeling but the toast was a bit too dry to my taste. Overall we enjoyed the food and the servers were super nice too. However, we had some unpleasant experience with the receptionist. We made a reservation and asked for a dining table. The lady told us we had to wait for 5-10mins for that when there were literally 10 empty tables there. We didn’t want to wait so she put us on a high table, five minutes later the screw of one table leg was off and the table started waggling. Still have a five star because I don’t feel the awesome food and service should be underrated from one accident

Delicious experience. Lots of really fresh flavors and unexpected combos. I would recommend going with the intent to share with your group. The drinks were also lovely along with the service. Only negative was probably that the music was a bit too loud with all the hard surfaces around.

Great food! Such amazing blends complementing all your taste buds single bite! Had late night snacks, so adaptable to vegan and gluten free. Loved it! Ethan was wonderful too

A truly amazing dinner during my recent trip to Colorado. My girlfriend and I chose this out of a bunch of really great looking options in the Boulder area and I’m sure glad we did. Cocktails were excellent and unique, grilled oysters and burrata as appetizers divine, and the two courses we split were equally out of this world. Crab fried rice was an amped up take on the classic take out option and black spaghetti with shrimp was a terrific medley of flavors. Finished off with house made sweet corn ice cream with some wild toppings… sheesh. Claimed at the time this was a top 5 dining experience ever. Must visit!

Incredible place! The Tiradito was so good! (I’m 43 years old and had never even heard of this dish.) Really Good steak, well seasoned, well cut so easy to eat. Def recommended!

I recently coordinated a wedding reception here and had an excellent experience. The sales manager was very communicative and easy to work with. Serving staff was efficient and professional. And the food was delicious! Everyone had more than enough to eat. Really lovely space for smaller wedding receptions - highly recommend!

Brilliant casual bistro just off Pearl. The concept is medium and large sharing plates and they do it to perfection. Creative combination of flavors on the tiradito and scallops. Mussels were in a delicious chorizo sauce. But the star for us was the hearty ranch steak: just the right amount of salt and romesco. Our server Chloe was delightful. Highly recommend for an upscale casual dinner.

Tasty lunch with masterfully prepared offerings. The steak frites with chimichurri was a flavors delight and the Ruben was lean and packed with flavor. The ambiance was warm, well decorated and inviting. Last but not least the service was timely and courteous. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner

Lovely restaurant in the Boulder areas. They have a good selection of spirits, wines and beers. We had some nice bourbons and IPAs. The service is outstanding - ask for ARIANA if you visit. She was very attentive, knew the menu and even told us that our food was going to be a bit delayed, as quality is not easy to achieve. The manager PETER also visited with us, and enquirer about our experience The food was absolutely amazing, and there is something for everyone. I’m a big fan of Boulder, and this restaurant is just another shining star in Boulder’s sky.

Beautiful restaurant. Ordered the steak, salmon, and grilled oysters. It was very delicious. Not inexpensive but we got our money’s worth. We waited about 25 minutes to sit at the bar as reservation was really needed and would have needed to wait 2 hrs for a table of 2. Highly recommended

When the community says this a must visit, you visit. I’d be lying if I said we walked away the first day, just to come back the next day and we are grateful for that because of our bartender Steve. Steve made this experience better than we could have imagined with fun custom drinks, an in depth mouth explosion description of the menu and taking time to know our names. I’m sure this place would have been a 5 star experience without Steve, but he truly made it a 6 Star experience guaranteeing us coming back and referring you.

We visited The Upstairs Cocktail Lounge for drinks snacks and dessert. I thought it very nice and modern. I liked it and recommend for a special night. It’s a bit pricey, but I enjoyed everything. The service was good, the drinks were good and the food was good also. Overall I recommend visiting.

One of my favorite spots to have lunch or dinner in Boulder. Really beautiful place full of light. The bartender on the ground floor is really and graceful. All of the staff were awesome. Between lunch and dinner they serve food and drinks at the bar which is nice. I had a couple of beers and a lobster roll. The lobster roll was top 3 I’ve ever had in the world. Huge chunks of lobster, the sauce was awesome, and the bread delish! I need to get another one before I leave Denver

We arrived at opening and ate at the bar. Great house Bloody Mary complimented by someone who doesn't normally like more "tomatoey"/vodka tasting Bloody's and someone who loves them! The croissant is to die for! Flaky and delicious mix of flavors. The steak and eggs is great for a big appetite. The quality of the food was exquisite and we will return when we are in the area.

A group of my co workers came in for a nice dinner last night and had a wonderful time. There were 8 of us total. Food quality and service were excellent! Shoutout to our server Skyler for making the night memorable. Overall, pretty good portion sizes and great coursing system.

I've made Turkish eggs, but with no frame of reference. So when I saw it on the menu, I knew I had to see what it should taste like. I loved it! Perfect lunch food. I was sad because I had wanted some of the things on the dinner menu, so we decided to go here again for dinner. Super pleased again. I will definitely come back next time I'm on Boulder!

Great place, very festive atmosphere and most every table was filled by 6:45. Food is good, high quality for sure. My only slight complaint is none of it was hot.

The Kitchen was hopping on Fall Semester move-in weekend, but the entire staff was cheerful, personable and professional. Our waitress Megan was especially sweet. She can usually be found behind the bar, but had stepped outside of her comfort zone to wait tables on this busy weekend. She guided us through the tapas-style menu and we sampled everything from the skirt steak to the burrata to carrots, cauliflower, sushi and sorbet for dessert. We had a table of five and were treated amazingly by Megan and every member of the staff that we interacted with during the course of the evening. Tasty food, great staff. We’ll be back!

Genuinely the best food I have ever had.we got the ceviche, chargrilled oysters, pork belly, and cast iron roasted chicken. Every single dish was absolutely perfect and had so much flavor. I will be coming back

Food, drinks, and service were all a 10/10. Our server, Skyler, was very personable and provided exceptional customer service. He gave us great recommendations on the Burrata and Strip steak as well. The food and atmosphere were very enjoyable.

The Kitchen was a nice sit-down spot with really friendly staff. While the food selection was a bit limited, the team was great at suggesting what to try. For any Indians visiting, just a heads up the ‘New Delhi Puffs’ aren’t what you might expect.

M

Great awesome food and great service but the bar looks amazing not really being it. Highly recommend the steak and eggs, the lobster roll and the chilaquiles (which are really spicy). The service is really good as well. The wine is way too expensive and the bloody Mary is good but it's an entire different cocktail than an actual bloody Mary...

a

Farm-to-table done in a relaxed, unfussy way. My seasonal pasta tasted fresh and balanced, not overloaded with anything. The space feels airy and calm, service is warm without hovering. Good spot when you want a proper sit-down meal that still feels easygoing.

M

Great quality food, with an excellent variety. Vegetables, pastas, fish and steak were all spectacular, speaking to the masterful breath of expertise of the kitchen. However, the food was slow. One of our appetizers arrived at the end of our meal. The second was a side of fries, which didn’t arrive at all. They were clearing our plates and we realized it seemed they had forgotten about the order entirely. There were long waits between each dish. Dinner took 2+ hours as a result. Would definitely go back but speed and pacing of the dishes could do with improvements.

A
Amy Barry

We ordered the garlic fries, pork belly, and KC strip steak. The fries were great and we were happy they have a GF frier, and the pork belly was delicious. Unfortunately the steak came out raw, and we had to send it back. They brought out a new steak that was cooked properly and they also took it off our bill, which was nice, but still - you order a $89 steak from a restaurant, you expect it to be cooked well and delicious. The fact that it came out looking like a bloody mess is unacceptable and it should not have gone out from the kitchen like that, especially since we ordered it medium. I will avoid their steaks if I go back in the future.

The service at this restaurant was great, but I docked a few stars solely off the taste of the food and the pricing of said food. My partner and I got the a salad and the crab fried rice. The salad was decent and had a nice aroma to it. The crab fried rice had a good texture but was extremely salty. I typically like salty food, but even this was a bit too much for me. The texture and sourness of the dish was great on the other hand. The portion and price of this plate is why I docked a second star. Also, the salad although flavors were good and it had a nice aroma, it was also on the saltier side. Our server William was great and checked on us the perfect amount of times. Even when we said that we didn’t quite enjoy the crab fried rice due to the saltiness, he offered to get us something else to eat even though the kitchen had already closed for lunch. Overall, I would say this place is worth it if you like salty food, but also if not, the menu had other options that seemed they would be a great alternative to the dishes we had.

F
Finn Kellogg

Not super impressed, unfortunately. The food for what you get portion wise is underwhelming and the taste from everything we ordered was a solid 5-6/10. The chicken was decent, but over-salted, if it had a more interesting seasoning blend, it would’ve been much better but it was still the best thing we ordered. We also got the tomato appetizer, which was almost comically expensive for what you get, which is essentially a small Greek salad. All the ingredients are clearly very high quality so I have to give credit where credit is due in that regard, but it doesn’t justify the price tag. The desserts were good, but nothing to write home about. If it wasn’t so prohibitively expensive, this place might be solid, but for the price, not worth it.

Food was amazed!! We had the carrots, salmon and gnocchi. The waiter forgot to place our order and didn't return to our ta le. An hour later after serving everyone that came after us he figured it out and blamed it on a deep fryer. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Could have been a 5⭐️ Drinks were amazing too!

Short version of my lunch experience at The Kitchen: mid. Menu said black kale in the salad, but it was only grocery grade green kale. Trout tasted like it was from a can. Wait staff never bothered to come back with more water for our table. Atmosphere is same as before: somewhat pretentious, exuding an air of superiority- as if.

I've only gone here for the Thanksgiving meals. The food is not that amazing, it's ok. And it's super expensive. We were given as much as we could eat and dietary restrictions were accommodated which was nice. Dessert was quite delicious but that was all. When we eat here my family can't hear each other because it's too loud. I don't know if this is true on normal days. It felt cramped and stressful. Also my grandpa had to lift his walker up the steps with help and great difficulty. I don't think there is a ramp for the floor they placed us on, if there was then it was not obvious. If there is an indoor accessible seating area, they should have put us there. I am going to try and convince my grandmother not to go here again for Thanksgiving. She can't cook anymore, but there are better places to eat and I think it's hard for her to find a new place so I'll do it for her. The wait staff were very polite but very busy because of how crowded it was. Mostly college kids, I felt for them working on Thanksgiving and hope they were appropriately compensated.

TLDR - some parts of the menu are fantastically made, most of it isn’t. It’s a little bit of a contraction of a place. We had the ubiquitous burrata for starter. This was superb, peaches, basil oil, greens, nuts and bread lightly toasted to perfection. It did have a balsamic glaze on it, which wasn’t really needed the basil oil would have been far better to stand out but it was still great. The person on this section of the menu is en-pointe and proud of their food they serve. If you went and had just this, then yes give it 5 stars and leave happy. I wish it could be the same for the additional main items. A fried chicken sandwich with garlic fries and a cheeseburger with fries. Let’s start with the common failings for both of these dishes. This person doesn’t care about you or the food you get served. I’m not entirely sure they’ve been trained to any culinary standard and realistically they need to be trained or just let go. The bread for both rolls was inedible, stale and smothered in a gallon of something we will generously call sauce but realistically was mayo with some scrapings from a spice pot added to it. The sauce was unable to penetrate the stale bread so just sat there oozing and causing offence to everything else on the plate. The fried chicken was burnt, the cheeseburger had forgotten to have cheese added to it and the remaining vegetables had unfortunately been coated in the ‘sauce’ rendering them inedible. In fact the lettuce looked like 50% of it was sauce and if it could make a sound it would have been that if someone slowly weeping. The fries were a travesty. A few were crispy and fluffy, which was nice despite being caked in salt. The vast majority however felt like someone had cooked them 3 hours ago and left them under a damp tepid cloth to chill and turn into the worst kind of potato dish i think I or my wife have ever tasted. Quite frankly the mains were the most foul meal I’ve been served in the USA in the last two weeks and all my other times visiting. One can only hope that the staff are let go so this travesty to the culinary arts isn’t continued for the rest of humanity. I did try and explain to the manager what was wrong. I asked a member of staff to get them and was pointed to the gentleman looking after the pass. However after explaining at length, he admitted he was the barman and was just filling in. Which explains the complete lack of quality control at a critical point in the kitchen. The person doing the burrata and salads knew their job and were proud of their work. The ‘mains section’ obviously didn’t care about their work or the customers. The servers flit around and disappear when they realise there is a problem with your meal. So a +5 for the starters, a 2 for the serving staff and a -5 for the mains leaving us at a 2 overall. Hopefully the owners can action some change as they do have some talented staff.

We have been here for brunch, service was ok, food was not. Lobster roll for 54$ was very not fresh and had very small amount of lobster for that price, cuban sandwich also had small amount of pork in it, have no wish to come back.

We ordered lobster rolls but it was so dry and full with lobster shells just disgusting. We ordered three orders we went because we wanted to try it. So disappointing!!! We got our starter garlic fries and the end of the dinner.

I am giving this restaraunt an awful review because their service is absolutely horrendous. We were seated on the patio and the server wouldn’t look at us. We ended up leaving and going to another restaraunt. There are so many great restaraunts in Boulder and the kitchen is not one of them.
