Stunning Sunday Lunch Huge thanks to Tony for his exceptional care towards us as we celebrated our wedding anniversary here with a gift from friends. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented with fabulous ingredients. There selection allows for every one to be catered for. Great location on the river and choice of inside or outside dining. We highly recommend you give it a try and feel sure you will enjoy it as much as we did .🍾🥂🥂🍾
A hidden gem at Bray Marina near Windsor on the Thames. Amazing location with stunning views of the river and recently completely redecorated. Our meal started with a champagne cocktail before we selected our three course meal. Great selection of options for each course with a good wine list. Friendly staff! It is medium to expensive experience. You can visit for drinks only and watch the passing boats on the Thames river.
Fantastic food and great friendly service. A dream place to eat. Beautiful scenery along the river.
Wow this place was amazing. The food was outstanding. The staff were attentive. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Lovely food, very friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely return.
Great view by the river, tasty food and good service, can't ask for much more.
Although we were using a virgin experience voucher the food was good and it was very relaxing sitting by the river on a hot sunny day. Worth a visit.
Great place to eat and enjoy the lovely views of the Thames. Excellent cuisine and first class service. Highly recommended.
Great service, and very nice meal. If I had to pick a bad point it is a little hard to find. A very good restaurant
Went a month ago. And I am going again on Wednesday. Lovely place, lovely setting, very peaceful on the river watching the boats go by. Most picturesque. Excellent food and for its exclusivity really decent prices, particularly if you get the 2 for 1 offer! Beautifully presented food, too. Only thing that could be improved is to get access for people wanting to walk there over the footbridge.
Fabulous food. Not pretentious. Beautiful setting and very welcoming, friendly staff. One of the best lunch venues I have been to.
The setting is beautiful and the food was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. My first visit and I'd like to go back.
Could not fault our meal. It was delicious and extremely well presented. Wonderful location and fantastic staff. Well certainly be going back.
Lovely meal, fantastic setting on a hot Sunny Sunday. Service was a bit slow, but there was no hurry and we wanted to stay as long as possible to enjoy the view of Thames and boats passing or docking. Wonderful way they have positioned the umbrellas so there is plenty of shade.
Tucked away in Bray marina, this place is quite literally a little off the beaten track. The location is great, sitting just off the Thames so you’re guaranteed a nice view of passing boats. The actual restaurant itself is simple and nothing fancy, although from the look of the menu it feels like it wants to take itself a bit seriously. We popped in for a Sunday roast and got started with a bottle of Rose which was very nice and not overly expensive. We ordered two lamb roasts and one chicken roast and after they arrived it felt like we had ordered for six rather than three. The portions were very generous to say the least and with a good helping of vegetables and a decent sized Yorkshire pudding, we realised we were in for a challenge. The lamb roast was cooked well, not overdone and chewy enough to taste the flavour and not wear out your jaw muscles. The chicken (two pieces of breast and thigh) was very tasty, although the cut was quite large it was still juicy, tender and succulent. The dishes weren’t drowning in gravy either so we were able to actually enjoy the meat. The only downside really was he size as after a while it did get a bit tiresome as their was literally so much meat, but for price the quantity did feel like value. The staff were professional and attentive and overall we had a nice, and very filling lunch.
Lovely setting with really nice food and friendly staff.
Nice riverside location with good choice of food. Perfect spot forunch when the suns out.
Nice setting nice people food not bad either right next to River Thames ona a nice day lovely to sit outside
This meal was given to my husband and I for a present and we loved it. The scenery was great too with all the boats going past.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Imagine it would be even better in nice weather with the terrace open.
Expensive for a hut in a boat yard but fantastic food. Disappointed that they charged service on a pre-paid voucher.
Had the Sunday dinner, good size portion and quality food at a reasonable price
A beautiful setting, friendly service and tasty food. Parking was a bit tricky. Enjoyed the whole experience.
Good food but hard to gague value as the menu doesn't have prices as everyone buys through vouchers online (and at different rates judging by the conversations we overheard!)
Excellent setting, food excellent we had the set menu which was more or less the same as the main menu, the service was very good all in all a great night
A lovely setting with good food and very prompt service. Food came very quickly and tasted great, if a little sparse with starters. What took the final star away was the lack of warmth from staff. They were well organised, but no smile or interest in customers and it all felt a little rushed. Would go again for food and location.
I do like this restaurant based in the boat yard and right on the river. Outside heater are always on and the food is of a good standard and shows some creativity and flair. Go for the outside eating, to wave to the party boats passing and to park with ease. Bring mosquito repellent and a jackets. The inside can get rather hot so don’t bring a jacket and unless you sit by the doors which keep opening and closing by the attentive staff you will enjoy. You will smile when you arrive. Look out for the many rabbits who make the marina their home ! Enjoy
Wonderful location on the Thames. On a sunny day the terrace offers riverside dining al fresco. Food is OK, not former but perfectly good brasserie fare.
Gorgeous setting on the river at Bray Marina only had drinks so can't comment on the food, but the choice and quality of the drinks is great and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming however service is a little slow but it was quite busy. Will try some food next time
Reasonably good food and service. Location is nice, however doesn't feel as upscale as it's trying to be
Once you find the place it’s lovely. What’s not to like about being beside the river. Loses a star for the length of time it took to find it - the cab driver who’s you a star!
Good food & ambience. Limited menu & beers, cocktails could be better. Would recommend for special or romantic meal.
Lovely setting and nice food but slow service that strangely wouldn't tell me desserts and didn't come as optional 12.5% on the bill.
Disappointed to be honest. Service was slow and food not so great; somehow our order wasn't passed on to the kitchen. The meal was a Christmas gift from my parents but we left before dessert as we were fed up waiting. This was our second visit in as many years; first year brilliant but something has gone wrong since. The waitress was most apologetic and did reduce our remaining bill as a gesture of goodwill which we accepted, hence the 3 stars rather than anything lower.
Seemed quite hit and miss depending on what you order. My fillet steak was lovely but my partner was not impressed with her starter or main. Average for the price and paying for the location rather than the food.
Disappointing. Terrible entrance and such poor slow service. Waiters v nice but had to ask for menus twice, bill three times. Food good but limited menu of 4-5 things only. Fantastic setting on the water, just not what I was expecting after the hype.
The food here was adequate but nothing that would make me rush back here. The service was fine and the drinks were ok. All in all, everything was just average, yet I expected more from this restaurant. A bit of a let down. Shame.
Lovely Riverside setting ,Nice looking menu but pretty underwhelming in execution. Main course of seared tuna didn't live up to expectations and salsa were drowned in dressing. Real shame.
I think the view makes this place. The food was okay but I wasn't blown away and had better back in Oxford at local pubs. I had to return two dirty pieces of cutlery!
Great view but Very pricey considering we used a Taste Card and had a 30% of Wine Bottle deal.
Lovely setting with a view on the Thames. However our experience wasn't smooth. My booking went missing and when we arrived they had no table reserved to my name. Their manager didn't even try to appologise, he simply stated that my name wasn't on the list of reservations. The place was half empty so in the end we were seated. Half way through our lunch a birthday party group has arrived (not even a big group) and all waiters started serving their champaign and ignoring everyone else. I guess they were expecting big tips from that group. We felt this place was simply capitalising on their location and forgetting about basic customer service.
Lovely place and the food would have been good apart from the fact that I had asked to make sure there was no pepper on my food but it came with pepper cooked in. Instead of asking if I would like something different they gave it to me anyway. When I complained they did not seem concerned and offered no appeasement. The staff were not particularly concerned if I was happy or not, I would not go back.
I am disappointed. Food very average, definitely not worth the price. 40 minutes waiting time for my main. Then I told the waiter I want to pay my bill by card and he didn't bother to bring payment terminal for the next 20 minutes - it's unacceptable ! Views were amazing but that's not enough to recommend this place.
Food and service ok but massively overpriced for what you get. More like fancy(ish) pub grub than fine dining. Make sure you check if your main comes with sides as it's not clear from the menu. Some descriptions indicate veggies are included but they are more of a garnish than a side.
Food was nice and riverside location is very quiet and relaxing. Quite expensive and staff can be a bit disorganised. Some may like it, but I did not enjoy my visit all that much.
Service was good but thats about it, the food was way below average (fat dripping fries, nothing tasted fresh or homemade) and the price was extortionate! Will not be going back
Lovely place. Staff very friendly and efficient. Champagne cocktails were completely nondescript Starters were rubbish completely tasteless. Duck turned up undercooked. Steak turned up undercooked. Had to return both. Supposed to be half price. Everybody I saw in the restaurant produced a voucher of some sort. Meaning the true price was half price. The final insult was that we were charged 12.5% service charge on the supposed full price. I didn't pay it. All in all a very disappointing experience
On arriving, on this Sunny Sunday Day at The Riverside Brasserie, we thought we might enjoy a drink and lite bite to eat. On arriving a we sat down in the wicker chairs, which had no cushions, surely if they are not in use they should be removed and not left out inviting customers to sit down, all be it very uncomfortable. When asking for a menu,I was told there was no food only drinks, whilst I looked around and saw food being delivered to tables and orders being taken. The service and explanation to no food was substandard and rude. There were also tables empty and full of used plates everywhere. Lunch on the website states 12-3pm we sat down at 2.15pm In my view it was the intention that the staff could not be bothered to serve anyone else. Thus we left we left disappointed. Such a shame since previous visits have been a good experience.
You won’t be welcome here unless they think you have money. Stopped in for a drink and bite to eat during a day on the river. It was just before 2 pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. We asked for a table and we were given drinks menues. 10 minuets passed and the waiter came to take our drinks order. We then asked for food menues. The waiter awkwardly looked around and then came up with an excuse that the chefs were “too busy” to cook for us. Needless to say we felt very unwelcome and left to find a more welcoming venue just down stream. Would not recommend.
Just terrible!!! Our anniversary dinner ruined! Had an ‘experience voucher’ for 3 course meal with champagne cocktail! It’s negligible to call this ‘fine dinning’. Cocktail served in the tiniest of dirt glasses, my husband ordered a lemonade which was flat, along with the second one, so stuck to bottled water. Starters arrived my FRITTO MISTO Deep fried prawns, calamari and whitebait served with tartar sauce and lime, arrived yet the prawns were battered in the shells?? Removing the shell took off the batter to be left with tough, previously frozen, tasteless food. I returned it. The mains arrived. My SEA BASS WITH GNOCCHI-Pan fried fillet of wild sea bass, served with rocket pesto gnocchi and cauliflower purée. £19.50, well it became farcical! A 2” piece of burnt sea bass, swimming in the plate of gnocchi! This is not a fine dining experience of any description. The food was of the poorest quality, no presentation, previously frozen. Bare table, no candle or flowers, we were really made to feel like second rate ‘voucher customers’. A sad building in the middle of a car park, on the grottiest part of the Thames with the occasional boat. Please do not waste your money as they obviously rely on voucher custom as no one would return to this horrendous place.
