This place mainly focuses on curry, and you can choose the base: rice (classic), udon (thick and chewy, really good), or pasta (didn’t try it this time but will next time). The price is very affordable, which makes it perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, especially if you’re working nearby. You can choose a regular curry or add different meats and vegetables. The fried items are all available as add-ons — the tonkatsu, chicken nuggets, sausage, and tempura shrimp are all very tasty. They also serve shredded cabbage with Thousand Island dressing on the side, which helps balance the richness. For example, if you order beef curry rice and add tonkatsu, you basically get two portions of meat. Definitely worth trying!

The curry is very tasty. The service was good too. Overall, the main attraction of this place for me was the coziness. This is one of the places you can really come and have a meal alone. For South Asians, the curry is not like the curry from South Asia. It tastes similar to when Maggi masala is added to a curry.

Abiko Curry in Manhattan is hands down my favorite curry spot, and I finally brought my fiancée—she gets the hype now. The curry here has a deep, rich flavor profile that’s totally different from other places. It’s bold, comforting, and tastes like it’s been built layer by layer, not just “spicy sauce over rice.” I ordered one of the hottest spice levels, and it honestly wasn’t unbearable at all—so if you love spicy food, don’t be scared to level up. You’ll get the heat, but it won’t ruin the flavor. Service is quick, the food comes out fast, and it’s super efficient. The space is small and straightforward—more of a “go in, eat, enjoy, and head out” type of spot rather than a loungey dinner destination. We didn’t wait and were seated right away. If you’re looking for Japanese curry in NYC that’s rich, satisfying, and consistent, Abiko is a must.

Really delicious curry. I’m not a curry person and I will definitely come back here again. I shared the eggplant curry with melting cheese and chicken cutlet. Plenty of food, way too much for one person. Super flavorful, the curry does not make anything soggy. The eggplant was super soft and melted in my mouth. The pickled radish added a fresh crunch and I loved mixing the rice with the sauce and cheese. You sit down and order at the table on an iPad. The food comes out really quick. You press the call button to order receipt. Two bathrooms in the back. Plenty of empty tables at 7 on a Wednesday. This place seems like a hidden gem in k town, since other places have such long lines. I know other foodies who love this place as well. I will be back!

Best katsu curry in the US. Service is excellent. The food is soooooo good! Love the ordering system and seating. Plenty of room in the resturant.

The fried pork cutlet curry was amazing! Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the price was great too.

Abiko Curry in Ktown Manhattan is one of my favorite go-to spots when I need a cozy, flavorful meal that never disappoints. The curry here is perfectly rich with just the right kick, and the toppings always hit the mark. I got the Basic Curry Rice with raw egg, fried chicken, and shrimp — the egg was silky, the chicken crispy, and the shrimp so fresh. My partner went with the Mushroom Curry Rice with Pork Cutlet and could not stop talking about how tender and crunchy the cutlet was. Service was quick and the space is chill and inviting — great for a casual bite after shopping or hanging out in the area. The menu is customizable enough that you can always try something new without straying too far from your favorites. It’s definitely a Ktown gem I’ll keep coming back to.

They finally have egg over rice and curry!! Their omurice version is delish with the curry. I’ve tried the meat balls and shrimp one. Both fantastic!

This is a staple spot. The spice level? The curry? The chicken katsu? On point. I’ve had milestones celebrated at this spot. The NJ location definitely beats this spot (hospitality and spice wise) but glad we have one in NYC, closer to home.

Great curry spot in K-Town. Even though we had a large group, we were able to find seating quickly during peak dinner time. The restaurant has a simple ambiance, nice and clean. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the vegetable curry and vegetable noodle. We picked medium spicy and it was perfect. Very filling and flavorful dishes overall. Service was great and pricing was quite reasonable.

I loved the curry and my husband loved his rice bowl. I asked for an extra spicy meal and the dosage of spiciness was absolutely perfect. The curry was creamy and the vegetables inside perfectly cooked. I couldn’t finish the dish because I wasn’t that hungry but still loved every bite. The service was perfect too and the staff really nice.

Second time coming here after a friend introduced me to it in 2023 and didn’t disappoint. The curry is insanely flavorful, the chicken cutlet is perfectly cooked and breaded, and the extra toppings add a sucker punch of flavor. A guest I brought also loved it. Some of the best curry I’ve had in my life.

Have visited multiple times, one of my favorite spots in the area. The creamy curry is my favorite so far, I don't think there's anything you can really go wrong with here though. The spiciness levels are pretty coherent, I enjoy a mild spicy (2), it ramps up a bit at the next spicy level. I've had friends who regularly eat extremely spicy food get the highest level you can go and enjoy it, so take that for what it is if you're looking for some really spicy food.

Was able to walk in and get a table quickly. The food was easy to order via a screen at the table. The food came quickly and was steaming hot. I got the medium spicy vegetable curry with rice with chicken katsu. The spice was enough for me. The chicken was crispy and a good accompaniment to the vegetable curry. Overall it was an easy quick meal with good service. You can pay with cash or card but the prices on the menu are for cash payment. It was $27 cash or $30 credit payment for the meal and a soda which is a bit pricey but there don’t seem to be many curry-only options in the area.

It's a good restaurant. I normally don't like curry much. But I came here with my friends and I was surprised I enjoyed the food. I ended up getting the beef curry noodles and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered it extra spicy which is their second highest spicy level. Unfortunately, I didn't think it was that spicy at all. I didn't enjoy the pork chops either. They were pricey. To be fair, I don't think most Korean restaurants get pork chops right. It is pretty bland and dry even when I dip it in the curry soup. For me, just the curry noodles are great. I wouldn't recommend the pork chop add ons.

I got the basic curry with a chicken cutlet, fried shrimp, extra garlic and scallion. I’ve been to Abiko Curry before in 2019 and I must say that the quality has dipped. The curry itself was not as flavorful as I remember it to be. However, the chicken cutlet is nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You also get a large portion of rice and it’s worth getting the cutlet if you’re very hungry because it’s definitely very large and filling. I will say, I miss their larger cubed pickled radish because it balanced the quantity of the curry much better.

The most important thing to know is that the spicy flavor was much hotter, more intense than I thought. It's a Japanese style curry house run by a Korean franchise company. I used to go there in Korea quite often. This restaurant seems to give us a little less content, tiny pieces of vegetables, with more liquid curry. However, overall good food and good service. Especially the kiosk on every table seemed to make us feel like we were in Korea, a very IT advanced country.

Came here after cycling 45 miles from Long Island. Joined 2 gals for dinner and looking for some new flavors. Waited about 5 minutes before getting a table at 6:30 pm on a Friday. Staff was kind enough to let me park my bike inside. The menu was easy to order and service was quick. I believe the noodles were udon style. Curry was flavorful but beef slices were skimpy. Noodle portion also insufficient. Hunger was still present after I finished the meal. It’s okay to try something new. You won’t know if it’s good or not unless you do…. A BIT OVERRATED. My personal opinion of course

I’m not the type to write a bad review but I’m not coming back here again. When we sat down the area we sat at smelled very weird and unpleasant. We asked to change tables and as soon as we sat down there was a huge cockroach crawling on the wall. I had already lost my appetite after what had just happened but when we were served our food the portion was not worth $20. The portion of rice and meat is way too small. I was pretty much just eating sauce. The food just wasn’t that great. When leaving they gave us a discount for what we experienced but I just don’t recommend coming to this place.

On 01/18/2026, I came to the establishment to enjoy a pork curry set. I barely had 2-3 bites, and a whole COCKROACH walked out of my napkin. I immediately told the waiter about the incident and showed the roach walking in my table. I lost my appetite and left. A similar incident had happened to me last year, and I had hoped the establishment would have fixed it, but it appears their pest control is out of control. I’ve always come to this spot since high school but after this, I’m never coming back, I was thoroughly disgusted.

Expensive and mediocre. Thin curry (nearly water) with no substance or flavor other than salty. I had mushroom curry rice ($18) with pork cutlet ($9) and there was a card fee. Basic curry is thin broth with no vegetables, mushroom is portobello, cutlet is somewhat crispy (no panko or breading). I expected better food for a restaurant, never mind for $35 for entree only and in Ktown. Faint cigarette smoke burned my nose and the hostess grabbed my bill before I left the table, with my card still in the tray. Katsu Hama’s curry is much better and even a grocery store like Katagiri has better dinner. I immediately regretted not going to Kushi Kushi Yaki’s empty table next door.

I LOVE Katsu Curry over rice. Its my favorite Japanese dish, unfortunately there hasnt been a decent Katsu Curry place in NYC since Suki closed down a while ago so Ive been searching for a new go to spot. This AINT IT!!! The flavor was ok, but the “curry” was super watery (see video) and everything got hella soggy fast. The katsu should stay crunchy even with the curry but look how watery that curry is. It was bad. Dont go here, or at least dont get the curry over rice.
