What a lovely bar just a stone's throw from Times Square!!! The minute we walked in we were met by the lovely barman Dylan. He made us feel welcome and chatted away from the get go. He made a killer Margarita and poured a great pint of Guinness, so good we had to repeat the process!. I have to say, knowing the original Gibney' s in Malahide, Dublin, this is doing the name proud. I also met Abbie who matched Dylan's chatty, friendly manner. They are an asset to the bar and you just know they love what they're doing. They really made our night and I'd recommend a visit when in New York.

Even though a Dublin pub they shouted for Galway in the final!! We just need to shout a little louder. Lovely service, all the people working there as do with the pub in Dublin! So this is a REAL Irish pub in NYC!!!

Crowded but is huge, several bar and good beer, nice place for a tourist...

Called in by chance back in June with my wife and daughter .. it was touching 100 degrees outside.. best decision we made.. England v Denmark football game was on⚽️👍… Barman was a first class host, and chicken wings were superb.. highly recommend this bar 🍺🍺

Great pub in the heart of the city. Came here on a recommendation and it certainly didn't disappoint. The staff were all so welcoming and efficient. Food was amazing. Close to Times Square, but such a nice relaxing quiet inviting place. I found it on my first night in New York and went most nights. Bar staff were great, very friendly and great to talk to. Only had one meal, but the chicken bites were superb, so tasty. Nice selection of beers, wines and ciders. Perfect.

Stayed in Midtown for a 5 day break and found this bar on day one and came back every day and I couldn't recommend it enough. Great pints and delicious food and very welcoming staff. Brian and his team have done a great job on the place. A down to earth pub with a real touch of quality about it. Rooftop bar (opened the day after we left) also looked fab. Hopefully get back some day. Good luck the future.

So glad we went here on our first day of our holiday. It became our “local”. The service was amazing and the best Guinness we tried in NY and even in some bars in Ireland/Scotland. Dylan really made us feel welcome every day with great chat and recommendations. We met Abby on our last day who is also a credit to the bar. Would recommend this to place to anyone and would definitely return if we ever come back to New York.

Excellent authentic Irish Pub with Irish owners and Irish staff. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good selection of beers on tap, including Guinness and Smithwicks. But they also have Belgian and craft beers as well as cocktails. They have standard pub food and vegetarian options. Tried their Shepards Pie and the Ancient Grain Bowl, both were delicious. Good place to visit before or after a Broadway play, since it’s in the area.

This had a great rating when searching for Irish pubs in the area so we went there for a drink or two. Lovely place with staff that were up for the craic. Ben was particularly friendly and chatty. Thanks, Ben. Well done guys, keep it going.

I've visited this bar several times in the last 6 months and I've never had a single visit be anything other than excellent. I've ordered their burger and also their steak sandwich, both are consistently good. Their beer selection isn't huge but it's easily enough. Their staff are the standout, and every single bartender has been been fantastic. This area of the city is generally not one you want to spend a lot of time, and so expectations are low. You walk through the doors to this bar and it's a different world. Calm without being dead. A smiling and friendly bartender. Good drinks, solid food, fair prices. There's a reason I have been coming back here again and again

A great Irish pub! We had a couple drinks and some food here. Our waiter was awesome (just moved from Ireland 2 weeks ago). He gave us some great history explaining that’s it’s a traditional Irish pub and been in the Gibney family for generations. Food was more your typical American style (burgers, wings etc) but was all still really good. Drinks and food was all reasonably priced being so close to the main strip of NYC. Would definitely come back!

Best Irish bar I have been to so far and the food, service and music (mood) are just amazing. Recommend ginger lad is one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Fish and chips and the shrimp taco are delicious. If you want something more Irish try the all day Irish breakfast!!

Great little buzz about the place for New Years with live music! Shame about the road closures though! The two guitarists and singer on the night were absolutely amazing and a great laugh! The complimentary champagne at midnight was a classy touch and made the night that much better. Will be back if I’m ever in New York, thanks again guys and happy new year!

The drinks were fine, the bartender didn’t know how to make the basic drink we asked for(not a problem), the Irish bartender dude was somewhat rude but maybe that’s just his culture?

I went here a few weeks ago with a friend and had a great time. There was an authentic atmosphere and live Irish music. I came back tonight with a group expecting live music, but it was nearly empty. I asked about the music and they said they weren’t doing live music anymore.

Staff blatantly ignored patron sitting at the bar for over 20mins, then proceeded to ignore once they moved to another side of the bar to request service.

Don't understand why they have published operating hours if they can just close "depending." Walked in at 12:45am on a Friday night for a drink, after making sure that we were well ahead of closing time; Google clearly says 2am closing for this place. Seconds after entering, the bartender shook his head and said "We took last call 20 minutes ago guys." Confused, I actually looked at my watch, wondering if we were an hour off. I asked if they in fact the hours were wrong and what time they closed. "Just depends," he said with a shrug. No apologies, no further explanation. Not professional, or even Irish in hospitality/bar culture, at all. We had been to the one in Dublin so were looking forward to it, but clearly they have some brand standards work to do.

Place looked really cool when we arrived. Unfortunately the lady serving us ruined the experience for the 5 of us. She was extremely rude, miserable and unfriendly we had 1 drink and left. If we had’nt already ordered we would’ve left.
