I recently dined at Hella Mediterranean in San Francisco, and I was really impressed. The food was fantastic—I had the chicken gyro platter and sütlaç, and it was delicious. I also ordered some lavash bread on the side, which was the perfect addition. The atmosphere is cozy and beautifully decorated, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The owner, Ali, was incredibly nice and polite, which added a really personal touch to the experience. I'll definitely be coming back to Hella Mediterranean on my future visits to SF. Highly recommend!

The place was clean and the owner appreciated my business. I didn't have to wait in line. The also have specials, and healthy choices on the menu. This place is in a nice courtyard with many other restaurants and self care businesses . The food taste like it looks and taste fresh. This is my second time eating here and i plan on coming here again. The food is also light and didn't make me feel uncomfortably full.

We (me and wife) went to this place over the weekend for lunch. It's a small eatery in Redwood City downtown close to the theatres and the staff were courteous and friendly. We ordered the Hella Veggie Plate and the Falafel plate. This was the best Mediterranean food I've had in the bay area. The food was delicious and the portion sizes didn't make me feel full and bloated. I will visit this place again for sure.

Food was amazing and at a great price. Staff is very kind and helpful. Hard to find spots like these now a days. We got the chicken kebabs, chicken wrap and cheese filling appetizers . Super savory !

One of our favorite go-to restaurants in Redwood City. Place truly feels mediterranean. Food is always made fresh - yummy and you'd know it's healthy. The combo plate (esp the lamb) and their rice pudding is the best!

We celebrated a friend’s birthday here with a group of 15 people, and everything we ordered was delicious. My daughter and her friend had the gyro bowl, and they loved it! The owners were very nice, and the service was great. We will definitely go there again!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Hella Mediterranean! The owners, Ali and his wife, provided outstanding customer service, making me feel very welcome. I ordered a Caesar salad and added salmon and tomato – it was absolutely amazing! To top off the meal, I highly recommend the Turkish tea as dessert. It’s perfect as a digestive, and the flavor is incredible. The terrace is beautiful, offering stunning views of Redwood City, which adds to the overall wonderful ambiance of the place. Highly recommended!

While you do need to order at the counter, the staff promptly brings your food to the table once it's ready. I tried the chicken dish, which unfortunately didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor and tenderness. However, the beef option was notably flavorful and tender, redeeming the meal experience. For dessert, there are several options available to satisfy your sweet tooth, though they lean towards more traditional choices. In conclusion, Hella Mediterranean offers a laid-back dining experience with friendly service and a clean, spacious environment. After my first bite, I was wondering if the meat was bad. Two bites in, it tasted like fish .. do they serve salmon here? Tuna? I don't know what this is but it's gross. Hard pass. Never again.

Once upon a time, this place had great food, excellent service. It seems that they don’t care anymore. Please do better. The chicken wrap was flaky, some of the chicken was undercooked. It tasted like something that was thrown together in a hurry. Extremely disappointing.
