Avaliações de Pao De Queijo Broadway
This little place is awesome. Great hospitality, and tasty food. Their Pao de Queijo can take a bit of time if you have to wait for them to be baked, but it's totally worth it.
Delicious Yucca bread and great price. Also great empanadas ( maybe needed to be a little bit saltier). Also I liked the friendly service.
My favorite restaurant in Astoria! The burgers are not your regular patties. The ground meat is flavored, almost like a "sausage" version of a burger. The toppings are fun, my favorite is the classic X Salada, but I've tried others and they're great too. The namesake of the restaurant, pao de queijo, is delicious - crispy on the outside, soft and chewy and cheesy inside. The only note I'd make about the food is that their fries can vary. They used to have AMAZING shoestring fries but those went away for a bit. Their desserts are displayed under the takeout window outside and are incredibly tempting. I recommend the flan-covered chocolate cake if they have it. It's a very small space and a casual dining atmosphere. I'm impressed at how much they have done with such a small footprint. The servers are sweet and it's always been a positive experience. Highly recommend and looking forward to my next time back here!
I come here about 2–3 times a week, and it’s always a wonderful experience. Thiago and Pracilla are truly the sweetest and most welcoming people. The food is consistently delicious, the service is excellent, and I love seeing the strong Brazilian community that also chooses to dine here. Highly recommend—10/10!
We had some simple, classic Brazilian dishes, but every bite was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and well-balanced, the portions generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. What impressed me most was how something so seemingly “basic” could taste so exceptional — you can really tell the chefs care about quality and authenticity. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy, vibrant vibe that makes you feel right at home. Priscilla, who helped us during our visit, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made our experience even more enjoyable and welcoming. Even if you’re new to Brazilian cuisine or just looking for comforting, flavorful food done right, this restaurant is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return and try more of their dishes!
my friend and i were starving and he recommended this place and we wasted no time to come. our server Priscilla went above and beyond to share her recommendation and knowledge about brazilian food. we had a great time. really wish the owners would make the outside patio more aesthetic and add warmers for the colder evenings.
This place is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warmest hospitality. The menu has everything — from delicious appetizers that wake up your taste buds, to incredible Brazilian croquettes that are simply perfection, and even Brazilian-style burgers that are out of this world. Every single dish is packed with authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. Special shoutout to Manager Thiago — he’s absolutely amazing! Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest has a fantastic experience. You can really feel the care in both the food and the service. If you’re looking for a taste of Brazil right here in the city, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
I enjoyed my dinner although the space is small but comfortable. The waiter was friendly and professional with great customer service skills. My plate was tasty and I liked it. I also tried the steak and it was soft and delicious. Lots of French fries with the protein. It’s a great place for a tasty dinner.
Finding this place was challenging. It's not on the main boulevard but a few yards from the corner so you'll need GPS assistance to get to it with no issue. It's also a bit on the small side but I'm guessing it's tailor-made for outside dining so it has that aesthetic going for it. The woman behind the register taking orders was very courteous and very patient with me because this is the first Brazilian spot I went to that isn't a dedicated buffet. I ordered some food that came up to almost $30 and it sure did come up with a lot of food. Even the Empanadas were larger than usual so I guess you certainly get what you paid for. No complaints about the food whatsoever. The Grilled chicken I had was surprisingly juicy and tender. It even came with fries and a side salad, which caught me off guard because the menu didn't specify what sides it came with so I thought it was just the meat which prompted me to order some rice and beans on the side so I basically had an entree with 3 sides and 2 Empanadas. Despite the heavy amount of food I unwittingly ordered, all of it was great and it didn't feel like a chore eating it all. The service woman cleaned my table after I was done, asked how I liked my meal and even requested a dessert. I always give credit to service going an extra mile so this place definitely deserves a solid 5.
The food here was great for the price. I started with a Risole De Carne empanda and it was great! The Picanha was the star as it was delicious and very flavourful(fat cap is what makes it a picanha, the rice and beans were also a delicious surprises! The dessert looked great but I was too full to get any. Service was great and quick. I would suggest sitting outside unless you prefer quiet and bright then inside is better if they have room
I've never had Brazilian food before and was very excited about this experience. The food was great. I ordered the chicken stroganoff and my friend ordered the steak. We could've definitely split one portion with how much food they give you. The chicken stroganoff was good, but I did feel a little nauseous after but I definitely ate too much and it was quite creamy and heavy. The quality overall was great, but I would eat slow or come really hungry. Staff was also accomodating.
Nice Brazilian spot for a low key casual meal in Astoria. Prices were very reasonable and service was friendly. The empanadas are awesome, just deep fried crispy goodness. Might skip the juices next time - nice selection but tried the passion fruit and it was a bit watery.
This is a small shop selling Brazilian street food, meals, shakes, and desserts. They have a window for street-side orders, as well as small seating areas indoors and outdoors. The rustic outdoor dining setup is on a wooden platform with romantic touches, like flowers, bushes and good soft lighting in the evening. Staff is friendly and polite. I usually stop by for a couple of their coxinhas, Brazilian fried dumplings, in the evenings. I'm not sure how else to describe them and can't remember the names. They are large delicious balls of fried dough stuffed with well-proportioned protein options, such as cheese, chicken, beef, etc. I like their Kibe: sizeable deep-fried ground beef balls within a brown bulgar wheat shell (called Kipe in Dominican culture). I also like their chicken, chicken + potato, and chicken + cheese balls (coxinha) and cheese fried balls (pao de queijo). All of them are extremely greasy and sold hot (the perfect temperature). It's easy to dirty yourself if you order one to-go because they're sadly sold wrapped in a parchment sheet within a paper bag. Restrictions: Dairy is in many items via cream cheese in items like chicken coxinhas. It's used like a binder so the item name doesn't always mention this. Tapioca/yuca flour is used for most fried balls, especially cheese balls. Nuts are in some items. Exotic fruits, such as acai and guava are in many sweet options. Please notify staff of any allergens for assistance with the menu. ------- Dear owner, please provide a plastic bag to prevent oil transfer onto your clothes/belongings. Your food is delicious and we'd love to enjoy it without ruining our clothes. 🙂
Whenever I want a quick (none fancy) Brazilian steak I go to New York Pao De queijo in Astoria. This visit , i set outside since it was a good weather for it. Surprisingly I didn’t think that they PDQ was great this time. It wasn’t warm and didn’t feel fresh or “juicy”. The picanha however tasted great and was wonderful. To my big surprise they didn’t have farina (toasted cassava or corn flour mixture).
The atmosphere was good, the food not so much. The chicken was dry and bland on everything, including the stroganoff and coxinha. The service was acceptable, the prices not unreasonable, but the food was low quality so unfortunately I can't recommend this place to anyone looking for good Brazilian food.
This place is small but cozy, the only thing we didn't like it was the price. To every item they add tax, then in the total again they add tax. Also they just add a 20% tip with out our knowledge. So..it would of b nice if we knew in advance. Just order and take out
No lights in their shack to see the menu, with no QR code that works, and an employee who didn’t really seem interested in doing anything to change that or even take my order. $24 for their daily special platter for a wimpy salad, soggy and under-seasoned fries and four pieces of steak over rice and beans, very underwhelming experience (the steak was good at least)
As a Brazilian-American, I had been craving Brazilian food for a while. My partner and I specifically traveled to Astoria for this place. When we arrived no Pao de Queijo was available (it is called NY Pao de Queijo??? and it was like 5 pm) and they said it would take 20-30 mins until the next batch. It shouldn't be so difficult to be consistently stocked with pao de queijo. The brigadeiros tasted like spice seasoning, like they were mixed in with meats. The pasteis tasted like old oil, they were definitely fried twice, super hard to chew and skimpy cheese. The older woman was ignoring me when I went up to the window to order. She was definitely not busy. A younger girl had to take my order. She seemed frazzled but was the only one nice to customers. While we were waiting for our order, an older Italian man walked out complaining loudly about how he had to wait an hour for one meal and told us to never come back to this place. "Un disastro completo" is what he told us. Not coming back, which sucks because there aren't many (affordable) Brazilian restaurants in the city.
Priscilla was the absolute worst service I’ve ever gotten in any restaurant of my life by a long shot. When we first got in she completely ignored me and my friend, then after around 3-5 minutes she just drops the menus off our table, doesn’t even say hello or anything, then after about 10 minutes she comes to take our order. I got the coxinha and steak fries, and she asks me what I want to drink. I say water, and she looked at me like I was a cheapskate. I never even got the water until 15 minutes later when my friend had to ask for it. On top of that, the coxinha is already ready at the window, but I never got it until after my steak came out 20 minutes later, which was slightly cold too, and I had to ask for the coxinha. She completely ignored us and forgot about us the entire time, and then at the end of the meal, she has the nerve to add a 20% gratuity to the check. It wasn’t even that much, it was a $47.50 check. On top of that, like another reviewer said, there was double tax, on the price of the item itself, and then at the bottom of the check. Real shady stuff. I’ve eaten there many times before, I even went on my birthday with my mom and had a great experience, they never added the gratuity then, and there wasn’t a double tax, so there’s no way it was an accident. I had to leave because I got so upset, and I didn’t want to make a scene so I dropped the EXACT amount the bill was on the table and left, but I’ve never been treated this badly at a restaurant before and then TOLD to tip on top of it. That’s insane. The food is so good I know I’ll find myself going back, but If I ever see Priscilla working I’m going somewhere else for the day.
came here to eat with my friend after work, Priscilla gave us the absolute worst service. She didn’t even greet us when she came to drop off the menus. We asked her for a couple of waters and she never got them. I had to remind her to get the water. And she did it with a real attitude. We ordered two appetizers and two entrées. she completely forgot the appetizers after we were almost done with our entrées. And again had to remind her. Never once apologizing, never once acknowledging the mistake just straight attitude. Now we get the bill and not only has she forgot the waters. The appetizers didn’t give us a refill on the water. She had the nerve to put a 20% gratuity. Now I have no problem giving gratuity but it’s given based on service and this service was absolutely terrible. I do feel like she discriminated against us for maybe being younger adults or hispanic And thinking we were not gonna tip. But we are in the industry actually we’re veterans in the industry managing very well established restaurants in Manhattan. Overall, I would like to take this moment to tell Priscilla this is the worst service I’ve ever gotten and you had the nerve to put a 20% gratuity and that just is awful in every sense you’re not entitled to 20% you have to earn it.
