The presentation of the food was good and the taste of all of the dishes except one was good. Unfortunately, I thought the pernil tasted a few days old. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Must have changed owners. Waiter had no idea of what Penne Ala vodka was and it's on the menu. I ordered the steak sandwich wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked served with mixed greens textures did not match well . Meat was cold fatty chewy. Salad wet the bread had no dressing. Chichron de Pollo over cooked . Morongo was soupy big chunks of slimey chicken . So sorry to see yo go Willie.

First time at Willie's Steak House. Everyone was friendly; the food presentation was lovely; we had the surf and turf and pepper steak. The pepper steak was very tasty and soft. The Filet Minon was a little tough but still tasty as well as the lobster tail. The mashed potatoes and freshly made salad were very good. We will return another time. Good selection of Puerto Rican and Latin dishes.

Great environment, family friendly, food is excellent. Live salsa band every week, owner is great. Willies steakhouse has been around many years and is definitely recommended, it’s reputation precedes itself.

You have to do your homework. I had a table of 12 people. The first thing is they’ll give you a fixed menu. The fixed menu is 48.00 per person. After reviewing the menu we all were not to happy. We requested to see a regular menu our waiter said we had to choose from the fixed menu. It’s all about money. I requested to see a manager. Finally it was agreed to choose individual meals from the regular menu. Also I ordered sangria in a pitcher. The pitcher was small. My fault I didn’t asked how much the pitcher was. Two small pitchers were 96.00 dollars. Ridiculous!!!!!! We were better off ordering individual drinks. So you really have to ask questions before booking for a large group. Don’t let them force you to choose from a fixed menu. It’s all about money. In the mean time the food was good and the Dj was awesome. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE BOOKING.

I grew up in the neighborhood, & practically lived in the BX my whole life! (I was 40 before I moved to Manhattan). That being said, Willie's Steak House is a staple in the community and I've eaten there MANY times! Usually known for their steaks, I was expecting it to be great, however, I was really disappointed! We ordered the strip steak with mash and gravy and chicken francaise with yellow rice and pink beans. The rice and beans were pretty pedestrian, but it lacked flavor to a certain degree. The chicken was slimy, but flavorful, if that makes sense. The steak was fatty and overcooked, the mash was bland. Our server forgot us and we asked another for water, we were already seated for about 20 minutes. Cant say that I'm going back. Next time I'm in the BX, I'll try another spot in the area, since there's a LOT more restaurants opening up.

Ordered take out for the first time and it was horrible, the tostones were 7 pieces and the churrasco was dry and small. For the price this was a ripoff.

Honestly I had high hopes for this spot due to the great reviews. I found out that if you didn't speak the language you were kind of put to the side and not paided attention to. The customer service was 0 to none.but I try not to let it ruin my night I'd ordered my steak well done only to be given a raw steak that was oozing with blood. I couldn't eat, and end up paying for meals that I didn't eat. Me and my spouse paid and left and when in a Mexican restaurant down the block where we felt more welcome ,order another steak that was very good.
