We finally tried Castro’s for the first time! The backyard literally transported us to another place. It was actually pretty quiet, and couldn’t really hear the street noise. The atmosphere of the backyard felt authentic and welcoming. Our servers were phenomenal, and the food was pretty good, two for one margaritas didn’t hurt either - which, by the way, were excellent. The margs were not overly sweet (if at all), they are the real deal. Also, the chorizo tacos were the best. I’d go for those over the other taco options.

Everything screams Mexico in this restaurant! The music, decorations, tones of food options and the waitress were all so nice and welcoming ❤️ The food was so good and felt authentic, we had enchiladas with vegetables- it was amazing and good for 2 people. The are shell taco was also really good and crispy, I took the vegetarian option. Do not miss the corn will all topping- I took two bites and left it to end of the meal because it was so good.

One of the best staples in Clinton Hill. Their breakfast is incredible. The tacos de huevo con chorizo is perfect. Waffles are great. Lunch and dinner are good too, though the chicken meat quality sometimes leaves a bit to be desired. Service is incredible.

Delicious food and prices are STILL reasonable... Excellent customer service.... Calming atmosphere.. Went there today with two friends.... We had the roast pork, rice, black beans, salad.... I'll be back....

I love this restaurant but the service can be hit or miss. I placed an order for chicken enchiladas and the lady said it would be 15 mins. When I looked it had been 30 mins snd my order wasn't ready and spoke to the waiter. He checked and said it was being worked. Another 10 mins told my order was picked up by someone else and they are remaking it. It actually was another 10 mins and in total was waiting g for 45 mins. The waiter who knows was given the task of delivering my order and shared that he made me a good margarita. It is winter and I get it but they need to do better with managing all orders and timing if that is what you want to do. Good quality food and drinks but do better with your service. I will tip afterwards going forward as I gave this person a $6 tip to wait 45 mins. I will update if this improves.

I ordered two tostadas spicy chicken and it had hair, at first I thought maybe it could’ve been my hair but there was no way, then I pull the hair and as I pull it it’s still pulling I recorded because this is disgusting. Please do better. The hair looked long and straight. This was on my second bite. Please do better.
