The bar was difficult to find. I didn't see a number on the door or a big sign. I finally saw the name of the bar on the lower right hand corner. It's a hidden gym. As you enter the bar, it looks like an ordinary bar in Bed-Stuy. When you walk to the back room, your taken to a wood cabin with a brick wall, a fireplace, and the most soothing atmosphere. Loved it!

A bar with daura damm is a 10 to me

I stopped by this place with some friends on a very cold and rainy Saturday night. Not only did they have reasonably-priced drinks, they had a fireplace and a very nice cozy vibe which was perfect given the weather.

Introduced to Dynaco by a friend. A very pleasant experience. Knowledgable staff, with an easy going laid back approach which belied their efficiency. Nice range of well kept craft beers, supplemented by a few imports, notably Barcelonas' Estrella range. Good also to see a gluten free option available. Definitely worth a return when I'm in the area.

You'll be hard pressed to find a better bar atmosphere than this. I often tell people that they'll feel like they're in a 70's/80's ski lodge somewhere in the mountains the moment they step in there. The fire in the back keeps everyone warm and comfortable, adds to the romance if you're looking for a great date spot. The music is always perfect and tasteful. All of the staff are welcoming and fast with their service. Vast selection of classic cocktails. Terrific beer selection, I usually go for the Kolsch or a beautifully poured Guinness. Cash only, so come prepared for that (they also have an ATM in the back). Make sure to ask about a slice of their home made cake, made fresh by an owner's wife!

I don’t know if it is one of the best places in Brookline or in NYC, but it’s certainly one of the best places I’ve been in my whole life. All details are sooooo curated and cool. A must for any tourist

Think it’s my favorite bar in bed stuy. The drinks are great and reasonably priced at $12. Classic cocktails done right. It’s lively but also a great place to meet and friend. Fireplace is really cozy if you can grab a spot by it.

Nice, quiet fireside room in the back is a good place for a drink with a friend. In the front, it looked like there was a local crowd that hung out there a bit at the bar, which gave this place a neighborhood feel. There is a great beer and cocktail selection, and it is not overly expensive. Interesting space with good selection and nice vibe.

One of my favorite bars in the neighborhood! Intimate, no-frills joint that takes you back in time with great vinyl music and a wood-fired stove. Some rotating local drafts and classic cocktails served up by a beautiful human closing you out at an antique brass cash machine. Can get a bit crowded late, but if you show up at open you can grab a cozy spot to do some reading. A date night must.

It’s a speak easy, meets a lodge, meets a dive. Cash only, with one of those authentic registers with that satisfying “ding!” I can imagine it to get popular at night, but it’s 6:15 on a summer Friday, it’s cool and quiet, some regulars here with their dog, and I’m sipping a $12 Manhattan and journaling. Low, cool music. Candles everywhere. Dark and romantic, but you can still see. I think I found a new neighborhood favorite.

Great hole in the wall spot. Bartender tonight was amazing, made the drinks solid. Had the Old Fashioned, Aviation, and Mezcal Gimlet which were all great, and some Orange Wine as well. The Stout Chocolate Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting was to die for. If I’m in NYC again soon, coming here again!

I came here for drinks with some friends and had a very tasty mule. The atmosphere is great, dark, candlelit, and cozy.

Dynaco is the epitome of the word, “Vibe”. Dimly lit for the best intimate mood along with great cocktails. They’re cash only, so make sure to be ready for that. However, if you forget, Dynaco has an ATM inside. Get there early to sit in the back where the fire place is. It definitely sets the tone if you’re out on a date. Enjoy!

Fantastic bar with a fire pit. It skews to the 30 something crowd. So, lots of good looking, smart folks. Such a great crowd that, when a midwest transplant bumpkin is working out their jaws and vocal chords, you can hear them over the music and easily know who deserves your disapproving glance.

This bar is awesome! It has a really warm interior, lots of exposed wood, reclaimed and vintage furniture, and the service is excellent. Great neighborhood vibe, laid back, owner is friendly and mingles and the bar tender has good jokes....and excellent cocktails.

This place is an amazing example of bar-days gone bye. It's a "not flashy on the outside, subtle on the inside" (most of the seats, and a dividing wall are made out if old speakers), cash only kind of spot. True pours of beer (FANTASTIC selection), and homemade pie make this place a five star bar. Pro Tip: on a cold night they have a wood burning fire that makes the place warm and smell amazing.

The staff is always professional, polite, and respectful I’ve never seen плохое отношение or плохая энергия here.I also want to give a special shout-out to one of your security guards. A tall, solid guy, no beard, usually wearing a black beanie and a black jacket. He closed the shift today. We don’t know each other personally, and he probably doesn’t even recognize me but I still wanted to say this: that man really stands out.He carries himself the right way not just like security, but like someone who protects the vibe, keeps order, and makes people feel safe. You can tell he’s well-raised, calm, and solid. People like that earn respect.If management is reading this, please pass my message to him. Discovered this spot when another bar had reached capacity, so happy it did. The place is warm and inviting with good background music. There's a lovely fireplace in the back room and the bartender is amazing. It's cash only but they have an ATM on site. You should stop by and warm up.

One time they were closed when they had their hours listed open, but I’m going to assume that was a one time thing. Other than those, this is a great bar!

Wonderful cocktail bar with well thought out cocktails and decent wine selection. This is not a dive bar. The crowd is older and better behaved than the actual dive bar next door. The vibe is very different weekdays (locals) vs weekends (Pratt students and visitors). Expect long waits and reduced spaces on weekends.

This place is a gem. Great atmosphere, laid-back crowd (at least on Tuesday night), and no pretentiousness anywhere. This spot works as a dive/local watering hole, but also as a great date spot or meeting place for friends. If you're put off by cash only -- don't be -- this is almost always a GOOD sign in my experience.

They also have cake here which is kinda random but the owner’s wife makes it and it’s insanely delicious. Can’t recommend this spot enough.

I like this place a lot. My friends an I really enjoyed the mellow quiet atmosphere. Nice place to relax a bit in the bustling city. Cash bar is a bit of a draw back but other than that no complaints here. Bartender was very welcoming and pleasant. Will definitely come back and recommend to others in the Brooklyn area.

Really great bar, very friendly. Has a very good vibe. The people here are just awesome, very diverse and fun group, this would be a great place to come with groups. It is a fun time and there is some good food nearby. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Great local bar. It has a solid selection of craft beer, though if you are after really great beer then Glorietta Baldy is a better choice. It's beautifully decorated with old speakers. It's usually busy.

Love this bar. Hadn’t been back in a while. It was a cold night and who wouldn’t want to sit around the fire? I would have given 4 or 5 stars but they used a maraschino cherry in my Manhattan. Why not a Luxardo? Disappointing.

The fire is nice but this place is unfortunately ruined by the two male bartenders. Both guys were very rude on multiple occasions.

Subpar Experience at Dynaco. Drinks cost $13, and I received no change for my $20 bill. My date was approached and hit on by a bartender's friend while I was away using the restroom. A homeless individual entered multiple times, harassing customers and aggressively confronting staff who tried to intervene. The ambiance and music were mediocre. Consider other venues before choosing Dynaco.

I can only assume that the ownership has changed hands. This used to be my favorite bar. Sadly, the staff are rude and the cocktails are nowhere near as good as they used to be. It’s a shame. This used to be a wonderful place.

Imagine this but fr it’s a real reality… Walking into a bar on a Friday in the Bedstuy neighborhood that’s been colonized by Euro-ites, to be told we can’t sit cause seats are being by said euro-ites smoking them sticks…okay??????

I went to this bar on Saturday and both bartenders were very rude… I don’t know if they haven’t understood that they work in the service field because they didn’t treat us well. I never felt so unwelcome as I did in this place… don’t know why they have 4.7 stars…

Dynaco has been a lovely little quiet place for me. A pint after work to unwind. Delightful. However my first experience of the bar allowing me inside was so very contrary to my view of the place. I was inside, near the fire out the back. I put a log on the fire and the bar man ran up to me and said “the the f@&k are you touching the fire” and started to be aggressive towards me. No one else was in the bar and he decided to take offence at me putting a log on the fire. Why? Shame. I’ll never go back. No longer my local dive bar. Don’t go to this bar.

Terrible, sour vibrations. What is up with this place? Did someone die a gruesome death here? Everything down to the cherry in the drink was fake. Everybody was fake. Cash only. Ordered my drink, handed a $100 bill. Bartender asked me if there was any other change that I had, in disgust. If I did, I wouldn’t have given you a $100 bill. He was visibly upset that he had to break a $100 bill at a cash only establishment in 2022. I’m sorry but you’re cash only. Currency is currency. Be nice and I would’ve spent all of my money at this fake bar. Now that 18% tip is the only tip you’ll get from me, ever. You’ve been warned.

As a resident of a nearby building I cannot stand this bar’s fireplace, the emissions from it makes my apartment smell like wood smoke at night for months in the fall and winter. Wood burning is also extremely harmful to the environment and surrounding air quality. If they cared about the health of Bed-Stuy residents and about not contributing to existing environmental racism, they would get rid of the fire. Owners who do not care about their community PS: shortly after I posted this, the owner got really angry at me, called this review defamatory, and demanded I take it down, as if it isn’t a well established fact that wood smoke and its associated emissions are a huge health hazard 💀

Terrible experience. Bartender is condescending and the vibe feels like you just went down south where POC are not accepted. The music was horrible. Honkey tonk. You’re a bar in the most historically black neighborhood in Brooklyn and that’s the music you choose to play?? Literally NO ONE from this neighborhood wants to hear that. There was not a single POC and as two brown girls we got side eyed not only from the bartender but also the white male patrons whom would have preferred to keep the library vibes. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years, never came here because I always was told how white it was, now I know.

Been to this place a few times, the environment and vibe is nice. That being said, last time I went I was asked by the bartender(she had short hair) TO TIP. This was the third time I went to get drinks. Keep in mind, I already tipped her the first two times and I was gonna hand her a $10 before leaving since she seemed nice, up until that point. She called me as I was walking away with the drink. I am all for tipping but I don’t believe customers should be asked to tip as tipping is a choice rather than a requirement. I have a restaurant as well and people often don’t tip, it’s just part of the business imo. Anyways, it’s a shame cause I’m not coming back and I quite liked the place.
