Our son and his wife recently had their wedding party here. Delightful atmosphere, excellent food and drink, and terrific staff. Will make a return visit on our next trip to Brooklyn.
perfect neighborhood spot. loved the new menu, especially the guanciale & leek pizza and the wild boar calzone! perfect for a date night but was also very family/toddler friendly when we went at 5 PM - no shortage of high chairs and they even give crayons to the littles 🥲
My family and I had an early dinner here and thought it was the best dinner we had in months. Everything we ordered (an excellent prawns starter, pasta with mushrooms, steaks, etc) was cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself is really nice, we sat at the booths and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Last but not least, we ordered the budino for dessert and it blew our mind! Do try it. :)
Super cool spot. Delicious food and love the feel of the restaurant
The cold, dark evening after a joyous New Year’s Eve celebration…I was egregiously sleep deprived, hungover. The cold was setting back in and I needed just a bit more cheer to close out this holiday season. I chose F&F. And I chose correctly, my friends. I’ve never tasted anything so simply satisfying yet delicately complex as the wild boar ricotta calzone. My friends and I also split a pepperoni pie. How could I go wrong? How?? But I mustn’t forget to mention what (or should I say “who”) I consider to be the highlight of my experience: the lovely bartender CoCo. Swoon-worthy, ebullient personality and a hair-of-the-dog penicillin to cap the night (call the ASPCA). Please, do yourselves a favor, stop by on a Wednesday when CoCo is there, sit at the bar, and be transported to a better time and place. Happy holidays! ps. I also hear it’s haunted!
Franks is a complete joy! The wine list is immense and the food is fantastic--easily the best pork chop I've ever had. I also loved the mercury in gatorade cocktail! If i could add more stars on for the exceptional service, i would. I recommend Frank's to anyone and everyone with an affinity for good food and drink!
Visited the beautiful bar with my husband for a few drinks and the cocktails were expertly crafted by Tony. He's so knowledgeable and manages an amazingly stocked bar - we were pleasantly surprised to see a bottle of La Vieille Prune there, since it comes from a very small town in France! Highly recommend!
The perfect spot to celebrate my friend's birthday. We started with a mix of salads and charcuterie board. All were fantastic. I had the skirt steak with chimichurri, which was the best I have ever had. We finished with a mixture of decadent desserts. So yummy. Our server, Kira, could not have been more sweet and professional, always on top of things. Everyone was very happy with the meal. I look forward to my return to Frank's as it was very special evening!
It was great on a quiet Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Fast service, great food, an incredible ambience. The menu is decidedly different from Prime Meats, but the menu items are not as expensive (for them AND for the consumer) while still maintaining the quality that you come to expect from this establishment. All in all, a slightly more relaxed vibe than its predecessor, but still really good!
Another stellar spot by "The Franks". We were sad to see Prime Meats go, but the expansion of Frankie's and the addition of the wine bar are great and cozy, so we're ok with it. The wine list is amazing and really makes me want to drink more wine. The small plates are remeniscent of a European tapas place, and are wonderful. But we were really thrilled that you can get the full Frankie's menu in the wine bar as well. I hope to make this a new regular spot!
Favorite restaurant in the area. Some items at their sister restaurant, they can offer here, including the cavatelli. That said, you have to try their own menu. The chicken scarpariello is amazing. And the Desserts. The pistachio cake dessert? To die for. Also, the PRUNES... Amazing.
Ordered the leek pizza, so good! Liya was an amazing server. So friendly and attentive!
Happily Frank's takes the yumminess of Frankie spuntino and adds more! Great wine list, new delicious small plates, cozy and a little more spacious. And the staff is lovely. Will be back often.
Amazing experience! Food was incredible and loved how there was a relatively expansive menu while also still offering their classic pizza. The restaurant is beautiful, it somehow feels casual yet elegant at the same time with the white table clothes. Great service and some of the best food we’ve had in the city in awhile. Only thing we thought was slightly off price wise was their cocktail/wine list which felt a bit high for the neighborhood.
Great pizza and Lambrusco. My wife left her hat and the manager ran all the way down the block to return it to her — GREAT hospitality.
f&f restaurant blew us away! been a patron of the slice shop & find it to be one of the better slices in the area. we were super excited to try out the new iteration of Frank’s corner location. service was kind and attentive, food came out hot and delicious. we ordered one Arancini (save yourself from the inevitable last-bite fight, order one per person), a margarita pizza & the guanciale and leek pizza. had to stop ourselves from finishing the savory so we had room for dessert! we ordered a beautiful apple tart & chocolate lava cake. did not regret the decision to box up the slices because dessert was perfection. love this iteration, will definitely be returning!
Excellent service, large space, variety of food, salads, appetizers and drinks, all very tasty, perfect for dinner and a good time or lunch when you're craving some good pasta; their specialty is Italian food.
Franks is a very upscale yet relaxed wine bar with a focus on Italian wines. Their cocktail list looks great but I haven’t tried any either. One of the few places that has actual Champagne by the glass. The place is on the corner and has a great outside and inside. Great date spot or dinner & wine spot.
Was in search of homemade pasta on a rainy day and was not disappointed with visiting this establishment. The interior was interesting, service top-notch, atmosphere laid back, but most fortunately - found the meal desired. The description of this paragraph is note to self. The tagliatelle was delicate, reminded me of tofu sheet texture; whereas the rigatoni was chewier. Boar ragu was meaty. The rigatoni flavor was light, perhaps had a hint of lemon, that reminded me of summer sunshine. Suffice to say, both were satisfying on a cold, rainy day.
10/10 food, drinks, interior, and hospitality. Went in on a Wednesday for an early dinner with a friend. Enjoyed the 50/50 martini, a glass of chilled red (perfect with pizza as advised by the wonderful bartender!) along with an assortment of apps and salad, three pizzas, and dessert. Standouts were the sette anna peppers, market salad, arancini, guanciale and leek pizza, and chocolate lava cake. Just a great neighborhood restaurant. I will be back!
There’s magic in the dough. Try the Guanciale & Leek Pie. )You’re welcome) Warm atmosphere and comfortable dining room. Service is attentive. Frank’s playlist was chart topping too. Highly recommend
Delicious cocktails, wine, little bites to eat and the small to medium pasta meal. Also really great deserts. Nice atmosphere and booths with a large roomy bar. Very clean, good service, a great little wine bar. The Burrata with caviar was my fave.
Franks Wine Bar is SO lovely, I recently attended a wedding reception here and the whole experience was so incredible!! The whole team took amazing care of our group for the event. Each staff member was so attentive + kind - special s/o to Will & Noah (I hope I'm recalling their names correctly) for doing a great job behind the bar!! :-) The food was amazing (the branzino alone was unreal), and the atmosphere was SO beautiful. I highly recommend this spot if you're contemplating hosting an event or gathering here - but, I also recommend this place if you're just looking for a nice spot in Brooklyn to dine!!
Great service, great food, great atmosphere! On their menu is pizza from F&F’s next door, and it was excellent. We got the spicy sausage, which is a sauce on top pie. Excellent chewy crust with a perfect snap to it. Good stuff!
Excellent addition to the neighborhood. I wasn't a big fan of Prime Meat's food so to transition to a wine bar with small bites and the ability to order Frankie's food is awesome. Result is an extensive menu and great wine / cocktails. No complaints here - I will be back when looking for a dinner with the wife and catch up drinks with friends.

Damn this place slaps. Joe - the bartender rocked it with the recs - and the food was some of the best food I’ve had in a restaurant in months. The lighting, the furniture, the decor, the people that work here. It’s all a 10 outta 10.
The mushroom pizza is to die for!! The vibes were cozy and i loved the diffused lighting. Aesthically speaking this place was very beautiful inside, we had to take a moment to pause and look at the art/architecture. The food was good, the drinks were good, and the service was quick and friendly.
All around amazing experience, surprised to see the rating was 4.4 honestly. Our waiter was really helpful and made great suggestions, try the gnudi and the scallops if you can! The wild mushroom pizza was delicious as well, all in all a spectacular dinner.
Wow what a wonderful dining experience! Warm and welcoming food, setting and service. Love, love the chicken scarpiello, clam pizza and short ribs with gnocchi. Unexpected winner was the Basque cheesecake “amazing”.
We had the most amazing date night here! The drinks were off the hook and the food was beyond delicious!!! The evening felt like a whole adventure… a journey that was unexpected in only the best way. Kudos to the fantastic staff and a mountain of compliments to the chef~> and thank you for allowing us to meet the him :) The whole evening was a vibe in only the most positive way. We left the restaurant beaming with grins from ear to ear. We cannot wait to return!!!!
A true neighborhood gem and a place worth traveling and seeking out. Always have new fun dishes to try and specials. So happy the Frank team finally nailed down the concept for the space.

Not really a huge fan of this new menu, but I know for sure going with a fresh pie is never a bad choice. Got the guanciale and leek, was great. Bartender chill and friendly. Calm Sunday night early dinner style
Great starters, some strictly seasonal — pasta dishes, fish, and meat all stellar. Fun pizze.
Classic feel and simply delicious food with interesting by-the-glass wine options. I was a little turned off by them charging $14 for a local beer, but it is a wine bar after all, so if you have to have beer you'll pay wine prices.
Good was very tasty. The green salad was huge, but very bitter. The calzone and pepperoni pizza were the highlights. The leak and guanciale pizza was interesting but wasn’t my thing. Their chili oil is unbeatable. The waitress was also the best!
I got married at Frankies so am very partial to everything this team does. We hadn’t been back in years since it used to be Prime Meats. Arrived when the place opened at 4:30 on a Saturday and were immediately seated at the bar. Great service from multiple staff members with a leisurely pace between courses. We started with the arancini (one for each of us, large but so good you won’t regret one to yourself) and the cucumber salad. These dishes were stand out - every bite so flavorful and perfect. Next we had the leek and guanciale pizza, which was a miss for me. The pizza was overdone and lacking in creaminess needed to offset the copious amounts of the salty and crunchy guanciale. We finished with the whole squid a la plancha. I loved this and all of the oozy ink - would have been amazing to sop up with extra bread (or even a white pie), but we were pretty full at this point. Overall a solid not excellent experience, but there were many other dishes on the menu that caught my eye I would return to try.
Good food. Very limited menu. On the pricey side!! I ordered the filet mignon and was expecting to see at least some veggies and potatoes with it. So I’m still trying to get over the fact that the dish came with just the meat with some sauces… that’s it! Not even onions. On the brightest side, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, just as ordered: medium rare!
Terrific place to get good pastas paired with nice wines! Desserts are also very good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has a nice charm and feel to it.

We had a lovely evening here. The pizza is definitely the highlight, very fresh and flavourful. The vodka pasta was also delicious. Had to knock down a star because there was an unpleasant smell in the restaurant, both my partner and I separately noticed when we walked in and it was a little off putting throughout the dinner. Other than that, it was a great spot! 💫

The food was excellent. Had the fish with escarole etc but it had about one tablespoon of escarole. This veg is very inexpensive and why not give a larger portion. Otherwise as others commented it was a bit overpriced but good quality and delicious.
Good food, but nothing special. The pizza wasn't great, the crust was too bready and hard. The portions are shareable (i.e. on the smaller side). The place gets really loud before it's full. I felt the waiter was rushing us out while there were plenty of tables and we hadn't even spent a full hour there yet.
TL;DR: overpriced but delicious All the other reviews state it very clearly, food is great but it’s way overpriced compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. That said, it’s still delicious but you’ll walk away not wanting to eat out for a month so keep this for a special occasion! I started with the spiked hot chocolate which they served spilling all over the place and seem a little surprised when I asked for a Napkin straight away. Shared the Burrata cheese - very yummy (again very expensive for quantity see photos). Main I had lasagna which was so delicious but again $27 (without tip or tax). It’s so delicious and a great space but DAMN $16 for a basic glass of wine and $27 for any pasta - ehhhhhhhhh!

We visited a year ago and raved to everyone about the gorgeous food and wine on offer here... Unfortunately we visited tonight and found a totally different and much-shrunken menu. It felt confused and at odds with the restaurant's reputation as a sister pasta restaurant, with no clear theme to the menu. We also found it incredibly overpriced for what we got... Linguine and clams where I had to dissect the breadcrumbs for any evidence of clam was so off-putting. Service was good but inconsistent (we had 5 staff members helping us but didn't receive the wine list we had asked for at any point). It's a miss for us unfortunately, so disappointed as we loved this place before and had been looking forward to returning.
Just didnt go well. Salad came without dressing. One wine was half full, while the other was decent. 10 clams as a starter for 22 bucks with no extra bread. And very very slow and unexperienced service. Quite a disappointment considering that the wine card and menu offers a great experience to make.
Food was fresh. Drinks were good.. Service was not bad.. friendly flexible. Checked on us… and they did everything they could do to the following.. Reason i am giving this two stars is because they use BLEACH to clean their tables and chairs outside which is fine considering they just left it there and ruined fiancé’s clothes and i. So disappointing and upsetting as we were really looking forward to this place and spending a nice Sunday out…Should really consider using a different cleaning supply. There are tons of disinfectants that will do the job without ruining people’s clothes.
Ridiculously expensive for what we were served. We ordered the cheese plate for 25$ and received 3 absurdly small wedges of cheese. Bread not included. So we ordered the bread for an additional 6$. When we received a meer 1/4 of a baguette and butter, we had to laugh. Granted, the cheese was tasty and the bread was good. The glass of wine was 18$ and the canned beer 14$. But really it's the absurdity of the cheese plate that got us. I do not recommend at all... unless you want to feel ripped off and taken for a fool.
We made a reservation for dinner at 8:15, we were not seated until 9 and no apologies or explanations were offered. The host never told us they were running behind so we assumed the whole time that we were next to be seated - had we known we were looking at a 45 minute wait, we could have gone to the bar for a drink at least. The service once we were seated was also slow and unfriendly. The food was good but we won’t be returning.
Crazy expensive for what we were served. $17 for Persian cucumber salad which is was equal to 1.5-2 small cucumbers with dressing, $15 for side bread, which many places give for free.
