Highly recommend to ramen lovers looking for a cozy and chill atmosphere to enjoy a decently sized bowl of ramen! You can get a refill for just a few dollars, but make sure to save some of the soup for that. Ramen firmness and broth spiciness level can be customized while ordering. Staff usually provide a clothing basket to stow away jackets underneath the table to keep aromas from tainting clothing. Def recommend bringing friends or even a date to this place during midday as there is not much of a wait and the atmosphere is more intimate!
This is hands down one of the best ramens I have had. Yes it’s popular but FOR A REASON. It is beyond worth it. The broth is 10/10, the chashu is the best I’ve had in NYC.
Ichiran is hands down one of the best ramen spots I’ve ever been to and easily my #1. The ramen is on another level—rich, perfectly balanced, and packed with deep, authentic flavors that burst in your mouth with every bite. The chashu is incredibly tender and flavorful, literally melting in your mouth and taking the ramen to the next level. From the broth to the noodles, everything is done to perfection. The employees are respectful, attentive, and quick whenever you need something. This place is an absolute must-try for any ramen lover. 🔥🍜
We went here after a nice sweeeem. Here’s a weeb comment. I went to an ichiran in Kyoto many years ago. I was hungry and they were offering it for breakfast. When I heard that ichiran was coming to Brooklyn of all places, I was excited, but never had a chance. This time was different. We went and it was wonderful. I like that it’s 1 type of ramen and it’s delicious. 2 if you’re vegetarian. It’s very tasty and I recommend getting kaedama to really fill up as the noodles given can be slurped down in no time, and you’d have plenty of broth. Really great place. Highly recco and apparently kids eat free. Ughhh… kids. They always eat free. Like what the heck. Why not borderline geezers like me? I didn’t take pics of the food because we were hungry and photos were not my priority. Anyways… EAT IT!!!
I ordered the Classic Tonkotsu Ramen with the following customizations: • Yes Chashu • Medium Garlic (recommended) • Rich broth • Yes to Scallions • Level 2 Spicy • Medium Dashi (recommended) The ramen was delicious — seriously flavorful. The broth came out rich and creamy with a nice balance of heat from the spice level I chose. It wasn’t overpowering, just enough to linger in the back of your throat in a good way. I’m really glad I took the time to customize it, because I think that’s what made the bowl hit just right. The garlic, richness, and spice ratio worked perfectly. The noodles traveled well and had that classic springy texture. Chashu was tender and buttery, even delivered. For delivery ramen, this was top-tier. Not cheap — with all the fees, it came out to $27.77 — but the quality was strong enough to justify the price for a once-in-a-while treat. Would definitely order again, with the same customization.
Honestly my head went 🤯 I can eat here every day for the rest of my life .wow what a soup . I loooove it. Restaurant is super clean Servers and staff in general are friendly and food is a 1000/10 i got a spicy Ramen soup and I was beyond happy with the flavour, portion and price. I will definitely come back pretty pretty soon
I’ve been here countless of times and enjoy my experience each time. They recently added a kiosk system which takes away from the full experience however the ramen is still amazing. Make sure to keep track of your points if you’re a local like me. They add up quickly. This place is also nice for bigger groups. I brought a party of 7 here for my birthday and we all had a good time.

Delicious ramen but a little overpriced. You only get one choice of broth which is pork, but can customize the spice level and your toppings. The ramen was good but for the price I was hoping the portion size would be a bit bigger. Sitting at the private booths was also a really nice and unique experience, I highly recommend.
This was a great option to have some hot noodles on a cold day! Very quick, and you have the ability to customize to a certain extent. A word of caution if you order the soft boiled egg: It comes with the shell on, so if you’re not an egg-peeling pro, you may struggle like I did.
Went to Ichiran Brooklyn Honestly, it’s exactly what you expect from Ichiran — super consistent, same flavor every time, and still hits the spot. We sat at a regular table this time, not the booth, so it felt a bit more chill and less “exam mode” lol. The broth was good, noodles were on point, and I like how you can customize everything. BUT the toppings are still kinda tiny 😂 The pork, the green onions, everything feels like “sample size.” A little pricey, but I still end up coming back.
All the other Ichiran locations had ridiculously long lines 🍜, so we drove out to this one in Brooklyn. This spot only offers one type of ramen — perfect for the indecisive 😅 — though the menu overall is pretty limited. The price is about $30 per person, which is fairly normal for NYC 💸. As for the taste: not bad at all, but definitely not worth a super long wait. The broth was the best part — rich but not greasy, really flavorful 👍. There were two kinds of pork: one served in the soup, and the other on a separate plate. The one on the plate was much tastier 🥩, while the one in the soup had a really strong, almost unpleasant smell 🤢. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to avoid long lines, but not a must-visit spot unless you’re in the area 📍.
Delicious noodles, delicious broth - what more could you ask for? We also tried the matcha beer, which was a little bizarre, but fun to drink a green beer.\n\nInstead of a paper ordering system, …

Overview: Decent, but overpriced, make a reservation Broth was rich and flavorful, didn’t blow my socks off but it was pretty good. I ordered everything as recommended except for the red chili sauce which I bumped up to medium. I would go much higher next time, it had no spice. I ordered the soft boiled egg for my ramen and it came before the ramen & shell-on which was disappointing. It was a $3 up charge and didn’t peel well. The noodles I ordered as recommended but they quickly became doughy. For the price of the ramen it should come with more topping options without such a significant up charge. Matcha pudding was fine but for $9 I would never get again
Once you get into the establishment, there are tablets for you to place your order and then you have the option to sit in a single booth or table. We sat at the tables and were greeted promptly about our order. The time it took for our order to come out was fast, maybe about 5 minutes of waiting. the broth was warm ( I would’ve liked it a tad bit hotter), the chashu in my opinion was too flaky. The server and front desk were really nice and helpful.
This ramen is really yummy — honestly some of the best I’ve had in NYC. The concept of the restaurant is super cool: individual booths, minimal interaction with servers, and no tipping culture, which I appreciate. That said, there’s only one thing on the menu, and I wish there were a bit more variety. Also, I was a little appalled at paying $28 for ramen and still having to peel my own egg. I’ll probably be back because the ramen is solid, but I’d love to see this place expand its offerings and refine a few details.
The ramen is pretty good and the solo booths are fun, but I find this spot is very overpriced for what it is. $26 if you want ramen and basic toppings. Ramen is my favorite food and I’ve tried many of the NYC staples. This was my least favorite and I’ll explain why. They make you peel the egg and my egg was served cold and overcooked. The pork (chashu) is plain and not braised. The broth and noodles are very good. I was missing the bamboo though and it’s not an option to add on. The service was weird. I got a 4 spice level based on their recommendation. I found it not spicy so I asked for more and was told I would be charged extra if I wanted over 10. I wanted a 6 anyways, but for $26 you should be able to choose any spice level… Once I got my extra pepper, I was told I have to add it right away and they would take the extra since it is a secret recipe and they can’t leave it with me. I felt pressured to add it quickly instead of tasting intermittently to my liking. I get it’s their special recipe, but maybe don’t ruin the eating experience by hovering to take the extra pepper back? I’m glad I tried this famous spot, but I probably won’t be back
Ichiran Bushwick has a really unique concept with the solo dining booths and quiet vibe, but overall the dine-in experience left us wanting more. The ramen itself is good—solid broth, tasty pork and seaweed, and the egg was actually great (even if you have to peel it yourself at the table). I’d rate the ramen itself an 8.3/10 for flavor. But the overall experience drops it down for me. You order on a tablet, there’s no real service to speak of, and everything feels pretty impersonal. The pricing also feels high. A regular bowl starts at $20 and jumps to $26.50 with add-ons like egg, mushrooms, seaweed, and scallions. And the portions for those extras are small. $3 just for some extra scallions is WILD!!! . Ambiance was fine, but nothing amazing. Honestly, it seems way better suited for takeout than dining in. Overall giving it 3 out of 5 stars. Worth trying if you’re craving tonkotsu in Bushwick, but I’d skip the booth experience and take it to go next time.
