Tasty coffee for a really good price! Friendly employees. I loved grabbing an iced coffee in the morning before starting to explore the city :-)
Excellent coffee and lovely staff. Stopping by is the ideal way to start the day
I go to Mixtape pretty often and every time I do I’m blown away. The food and coffee are next-level delicious and the baristas put care into their work. Truly the best
Try the sopresata on your bagel sammie you won’t regret it
Super friendly folks. Yummy cortado and coffee overall. Convenient order window :)
Love this spot, very helpful and kind staff, good bagels, fair prices.
Very cheap drip coffee, for how wonderful it is. Something seriously right goes on with their coldbrew. I tastes so rich and chocolatey all on it's own. I've never had any of the food unfortunately. Much better in price and quality than most coffee-centric chains.
Just stopped by for a hot black coffee. It’s a really tasty cup & refreshing that it was only $2 for a medium. Looking forward to trying a sandwich next time - the bagels in the window looked great.
My neighborhood go-to. The breakfast sandwich is great and ten times out of ten it's the perfect place for spotting dogs. One time a woman working the register asked me what animal was depicted on my beanie and I told her it was an otter. Alas, it wasn't until after I got home that I realized it was a seal.
Staff is usually in an up-beat mood in the morning, I've never had to wait in a crazy line and if there are a few people waiting they get through them quickly and nicely. Coffee is great, bagels and muffins are awesome too! Try the Viet Iced Coffee 😇
my fave cafe in bushwick - their iced chai is perfect. they have oat milk, super cute mugs you can buy, bagels and some pretty good croissants, and everyone there is nice.
My roommate is in the coffee industry, and I was a fabulous barista once; both of us stan Mixtape. The coffee window was in style before the pandemic, even more so now. We love the bagel sandwiches, and cold brew or viet iced coffee. Everything is top notch
great quick spot for coffee. Can be a little slow at times if the person ahead of you ordered food but still, my usual go to when I don’t have time to it myself
Very pleasantly surprised. Coffee (a cortado) was done correctly and was really good quality, tasty coffee and i had a bagel with eggs and cheese. That was a real old school brooklyn bagel i couldn't believe it. Reminded me of my childhood when brooklyn was brooklyn. To top it off the guys that work there were extraordinarily nice.
Most social and friendliest coffee spot in Brooklyn (if not all of NYC). I've been coming here for 2 years and have made many friends there. The walk up window and lack of places to hide behind your laptop make people actually talk to each other. Top quality beans and bagels expertly prepared, many coffee drinks, Vietnamese ice coffee, matcha latte, chai latte, etc. A unique place and not to be missed if you're in Bushwick.
Best coffee & bagel sandwiches in the neighborhood!!! Love. Edit: their iced coffee is so good, anywhere else just tastes like dishwater by comparison. 🙃
Great cold brew at a great price. Coffee and service are both high quality. The window service is novel for the area and the staff working the window are friendly and efficient.
One of my favorite coffee shops in all of New York. Dependably delicious sandwiches and espresso drinks, and you might get lucky and meet a cute dog while you wait.
The espresso is so good!!! Also the bagels are really good. I’ve gotten a latte here and then drank it and ordered a second one for the walk home
Love the Chagaccino of course! & the pastries 🤌 The pals working it are awesome 😎
Street-side counter service with good coffee. Mixtape goes to show that you don't need WiFi, plugs, and competitive seating arrangements to be a good cafe. Mixtape is one of my all-time favorites.
always love stopping here for a coffee and bagel. staff is always so sweet and quick
A easy to miss spot due to it's small size. But definitely worth a try if you're in the area, great bagels and coffee and kind staff!
Amazing bagels. Seriously thank you for serving our community, been here 10+ times; always amazing.
Cute little spot on Myrtle. Good coffee and reasonable prices. And the barista was very sweet to my dog! Will be coming here frequently
It’s years later and I’m back living next to my favorite coffee spot with the best coffee and my absolute favorite breakfast sandwich. If you are wanting a nice shot of espresso - ask what’s in the hopper and make it to stay.
A tiny to-go coffee bar with solid coffee beans roasted in Brooklyn. It also offer a few bar stools for chilling-out. Some choices of pastries and sandwiches to go with coffee. Like the blue-themed mural.
I love this place. I often get the breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Really tasty coffee.
Lox on a toasted everything bagel, AMAZING. Never been here but I will def be back. The service was one of a kind.
For real the best! Powered me through the pandemic, always top quality. Food is soooo good too :) thank you Mixtape !

Been living in Bushwick 2 years and only just stumbled upon this place. I'm a real coffee snob, but this was the best coffee I've had in Brooklyn (or anywhere else in the city) for as long as I remember. Seriously perfect. Thank you.
Best place around to grab a coffee and yummy sandwich. Great staff all around! Now offering decaf which is nice.
Great hole in the wall coffee place. The breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel is really special. Also this is my go to place to get coffee beans, they are freshly roasted and well sealed. Whether you grind yourself or get them grinded they're delicious.
My number one neighborhood coffee spot! For a walk up counter it somehow still functions as a community hub. I am always running into people in line and people stay/chat and enjoy their coffee at the benches /counter they've built out street-side. A great place to grab a cup when you want to be with the people or when you're on the go. The coffee is great and I really enjoy that they do pastries, bagels and breakfast sandwiches that go the extra mile with sprouts and delicious sauces! This is a neighborhood staple I really appreciate! Solid affordable every day prices. The staff are quick, and welcoming. A perfect example how you can do so much with such a small space, hats off to the lowbrow down to earth style!
I love spending the night at my partners place bc this is the best coffee I've had in NYC no comparison.. also the vibes are immaculate & the staff are super friendly & nice. Highly recommend
Yo, I’m writing this because I used to live by this spot and I really miss the coffee! Man the coffee and service was so good there was always people waiting outside before they opened. Great espresso!
Best drip coffee I’ve ever had. So strong and impactful. I’ve had good matcha here too. A little hole in the wall gem that’s definitely worth a visit. Owner is nice and so have been all the staff I’ve dealt with.
Best coffee, best owner, best baristas, best prices, best storefront stickers. The coffee is fantastic but I would go there even if it sucked because the owner and every single person who works there are so lovely.

Hip coffee stand w/ a few sidewalk stools, passionate baristas, and rotating coffee roaster menu. Surrounded by street art in a corner of Bushwick near the border of Ridgewood. Cool neighborhood."
You're not starved for great coffee in Bushwick. With so many great nearby options, it's hard to get me to stray from my original haunts, but Mixtape... Well it's a whole new beast entirely. I ordered a Mocha and loved it. The coffee was well made and came out relatively quick. Be sure to ask your barista about flavors and syrups if you're not feeling like the standard menu.
Bagel had a hair in it and they forgot the cream cheese. We went back and asked them to put cream cheese on it. They offered to remake the bagel which is nice but then they gave us rotten avocado on the new one. They were probably just waiting to get rid of that black avocado. Kind of disappointing, we go here frequently and it’s usually great.

This review is from just one visit and it was okay. In my opinion the bagels were dense and the coffee was also just okay. Maybe it depends on who is working since my bagel was dry, but I see other pictures of the same thing with more cream cheese. My boyfriend wanted to point out they only had turkey bacon lol. Otherwise it was generally quick and convenient. A little pricy for the area in my opinion(almost $30 for a bagel, lox, and 2 cold brew coffees). A few stools outside if you wanted to come alone and have a quick bite, but at the wrong time it’s in the sun.
There is no indoors here so on a cold day just know what your getting into. The food was fair on a limited menu. The service was nice but it wasn't particularly quick which isn't great when your standing outside in the winter. They did get one of our coffee orders wrong which was a bummer after waiting that long. All in all this was a decent place but we didn't find anything outstanding about it.
I used to love this place and its still usually great if the owner/manager is there but lately I go and the rest if the staff isn't as great at making drinks, like the last one I had the milk was burnt and I had a really strange interaction where the staff thought I didn't understand what I was ordering and tried to explain it to me totally unprompted. Anyway, I'll probably just skip this spot unless I see the manager working.

This a a review on the chai latte. I’m not sure if they have their own chai leaf mix or they buy prebought mix but it is way too sweet and not enjoyable at all. It just tastes like you’re drinking overly sweet cinnamon milk. Can’t speak about their coffee but I definitely don’t recommend the chai latte for $5.
The coffee is amazing, some of the baristas are next level rude. don’t work in the service industry if you can’t show people basic human respect.

I usually enjoy supporting local coffee shops, but unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. The barista was noticeably rude and dismissive from the moment I approached the counter. I understand busy days can be stressful, but basic courtesy shouldn’t be too much to ask. A simple greeting or even a neutral tone would’ve gone a long way. Hopefully, management can address this and work on improving customer service, it really affects the whole atmosphere of the place.
The tall woman with glasses helping me today really needs to improve her customer service. I've been to this location a place and have never been met with such disrespect and I will most likely never spend a single dollar here again. Upon arrival, I asked if the cold brew was already cold and her response was "its sitting out". I them asked for a cold brew coffee with "less ice", she proceeded to give me half a cup of cold brew with a large scoop of ice. After regretfully even tipping the young lady, I asked if she could at least top my coffee off to the top as there was about an inch left of space in the cup. She then said "so you wanted a large cold brew then?" And I told her I was not aware there were different size options and asked for a bit more cold brew in the cup which she abruptlyansweredthat she cannot. During the entire interaction she just seemed bothered by my presence and must have been having a bad day but I refuse to spend my hard earned money where I am not appreciated and will stick to nearby coffee shops that treat me with dignity. Just thought the manager/owner would like to know..
