Coffee is amazing and the staff is VERY NICE. Great neighborhood cafe with great seating. Love coming here regularly to work, read, or meet friends. My favorite coffee shop in new york. Also the matcha is actually good here, which is rare.
This place serves up high octane jet fuel in the best way possible. I go out of my way to stop here whenever I can.
I come this morning, busy but fast service. My first visit and girl working was very sweet and patient to me. Best coffee I’ve had since moving here and the pasteries look delicious so I will try one next time. They also have beautiful backyard with many plants, good place to bring friends and family.
I came by today for the first time to work remote with a friend and I couldn’t recommend it more! My barista, Avery, was warm and friendly, and my miel latte was delicious. It was quiet with plenty of room to work inside, but also looked to have a cute patio out back. I also had lovely interactions with other customers, so seems like a great neighborhood/community spot. I’ll definitely be back!
Stopped by this morning and have to say, the experience was lovely. My go to spot from here on out for sure! Found this cafe through TikTok and needed to check it out since I live in the area, The barista lady this morning was so sweet and patient with me, which was a plus — because they just had so many options on drinks and pastries it was hard choose! While preparing my sweet bee latte, she mentioned their fall menu that’s coming in so she’ll definitely be seeing me again!!
Such a cute place. Quick service and great options. Not a long list but the ones you want the most.
Adorable coffee shop, came by this morning and the young ladies were both incredibly sweet. Had their croissant, and their blueberry VEGAN muffin. Amazing. Also tried their iced pink cloud matcha which was just so good. Such a big space place with seating and yard! I didn’t know this place existed, will be back again for sure.
My day is always a joy when it includes a visit to Sweetbee! Expertly crafted drinks, sensible snacks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Their current Spring menu is lovely, specifically the Pink Cloud Summer latte is delightful. Do yourselves a favor and make Sweetbee your new favorite cafe as it is mine :)
Add to your rotation. Small but cozy chic cafe with beautiful plants and overall design. Love the Meil latte ( honey latte) and sweetbee latte ( honey and lavender). Oh and the chocolate chip cookies are worth their ridiculous price (nothing unique to price of cookies everywhere, just saying).
Stopped in here for a quick post-brunch coffee while visiting family for the holiday in the neighborhood. Had an almond croissant and flat white. So delish! Highly recommend stopping by, especially if your drink is made by the barista Michael! You know the drink and experience’s gonna be amazing when the baristas are all tatted up. They also have incredible flavors on the side (they’re labeled not self serve; so be sure to ask which you’d prefer on your drink!) and a holiday menu that I’m for sure going to try out on my next trip.
Sweetbee is definitely a local go to. I get iced lattes pretty frequently and a theme across all cafes seems to be inconsistent milk/espresso ratios - it’s a frustratingly milky experience. Cadence was extremely welcoming and made me the perfect iced oat latte yesterday; I even took a picture of it. It‘s the ideal ratio, and it honestly made my day. I always come back to sweetbee but wish Cadence could make my coffee every time.
I can only speak to the wonderful people at the cafe. I didn’t eat there but they found my daughter’s lost cell phone and reached out through it to let me know. We arranged for an uber to bring it back to us. I’ve never had this experience. We thought the phone was gone forever. Thank you to the folks at the cafe!
I have to produce coffee!!! I love the bean and amazing service made great connection !! I truly love my Barista, Shaun...
I stopped in on a weekday morning to grab an iced mocha latte (with soy milk). It’s a cute little cafe with seating towards the back. There was one barista behind the counter but he was very fast making drinks and very nice. He helped explain the seasonal menu and made recommendations. The prices are reasonable and my drink was tasty. I’ll be back!
I LOVED THIS PLACE! IT IS A MUST GO! The best thing is the quality of the coffee they serve and the service they have. It is a Kenya- Peruvian blend, medium toasted. If you have the chance to go on a sunny day of fall, go to the terrace. It is beautiful and peaceful!
Consistently great coffee. Beautiful interior and a really nice back door. I really enjoyed their “front porch” sparkling cold brew.
I’m currently on a trip here in New York and immediately fell in love with this cafe spot…I love the variety of milk options they offer and their stickers it was a whole vibe. The baristas that helped me this morning were so wonderful very sweet and worked fast paced. The drink was amazing I fell in love with it. I will definitely be back before my trip is over to check out their backyard sitting area..Best little cafe spot in the city.
This place is fantastic. Open before all the other great coffee shops in the area, (before 8am) their backyard is a great place to work. Great music (and volume), stadium style cushion seating in the backyard. You don’t have street noise like other coffee shops in the area. Great vibes here.
What a gem! Perfect cafe with spectacular coffee and atmosphere. There is both super nice indoor and outdoor seating that could be perfect for working. (1 hour laptop work per purchase) Will definitely be back again, esp to try the pastries.
Lovely place with lovely people. I spent my last 2 mornings in Brooklyn at Sweetbee. So glad that I found this cute little coffee shop with peaceful backyard near my hotel. The barista/owner is so sweet and he makes a specific order for me!!!! Definitely come back! my favorites are also Sweetbee latte, and almond croissant.
I visit NYC from Hungary every few months, and Sweetbee has become a must whenever I'm in town. It's the perfect cozy spot to wind down and relax on busy days. The coffee is delicious, the staff is always nice and the music is a huge plus. Brings comfort to my days far away from home :) I want to buy some merch eventually, too, just wasn't lucky with it so far🤞🏻
Super cute cafe right on Fulton. They have some indoor and outdoor seating! Coffee's delicious! However I'd have to agree with some of the other reviews I saw and the service wasn't very warm or friendly. Felt very unwelcomed and was gonna sit to chill but ended up just grabbing the coffee and leaving. If you just need good coffee, def recommend!
Spent the weekend in Brooklyn and visited this place daily. Outstanding coffee, croissants, and sandwiches. Their signature drink is called Sweetbee - to die for and I had mine made with macadamia milk. Staff was cool, made great recommendations and service was spot on. The cafe is beautiful and the outdoor seating and abundance of plants creates a lovely and private backyard oasis. Can’t wait to return.
I visited Sweetbee on Saturday morning. Genuinely curious if the shop and the vibe is as sweet as advertised, and BOY DID IT DELIVER. So much so that I came back on Sunday. Both days I was pleasantly surprised about how friendly and lovely they were ❤️special mention to the tattooed girly who made my time there extra sweet. Would definitely come back the next time I’m in the city !!
Stunning neighborly vibe: oat milk by default, gorgeous interior (with ample outlets), genuine crew, fab playlist, and an immaculate patio. I discovered Sweetbee via Ryan (one of the co-owners) on TikTok, who was at the helm when I stopped by this morning. My plan was to grab a latte and dash; swooned by the vibe, I decided to sit for a spell.
Sweetbee is such an excellent coffee shop. Their baristas are highly knowledgeable and skilled at perfecting drinks. Both the classic menu and their seasonal menu is on point! The interior is laid out nicely to separate the seating area from the counter and the backyard is a huge plus! Couldn’t recommend a better coffee shop with better baristas!
Right when you walk in, you’re stopped by how tastefully done this cafe is. The ambiance is tranquil and hip. I had the iced Sweetbee latte with honey and lavender. Just what the doctor ordered on this warm summer day. Definitely going to come back and try the other items on the menu.
Stopped by after an appointment nearby and really enjoyed the atmosphere and service even if it was a tiny bit busy despite being a little after noon. Amazing fresh pastries and gorgeous latte art. The female barista with dark and blonde hair was accommodating and really helpful with my questions about ingredients and sourcing which is always appreciated.

This is some excellent coffee in Brooklyn!!! The lattes are insanely good and the drip coffee is soo smooth-- great aroma, flavor notes, and delicious. And they sell awesome merch, swag, and even their own beans for you to grind & roast up at home. The pastries and sweets are great too (I'm particularly a fan of the salty cookies). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars!!!! The staff and owner are warm and welcoming, and the vibes are awesome for working, chilling, hanging out. Highly recommend Sweet Bee! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A favorite coffee shop for me in Brooklyn!
Have to say, as a long time customer I’ll never understand the those who are very picky when they walk into a coffee shop. I have officially moved out of New York, and have to say that SweetBee has been my long time coffee shop to go to and have always been treated with so much care. Their coffee is incredible, I’ve always bought their Bold Bee beans to be able to replicate their cold brew at home with the advice from the baristas. I remember when they first opened up, have seen the team change from time to time but have grown to love those behind the bar as of late so much. Walking in knowing they knew my name and order was quite the best part of my coffee run. The team is incredible, sweet and caring and seem to love what they do every time they’re behind the bar. The music is fun, you can always feel a different vibe based on who’s behind the bar and that’s magnificent. It’s never the same and it kept me getting my drinks every time that much more exciting, expecting the unexpected. Thank you, Sweet bee and the whole team on bar for always keeping me caffeinated while living in Brooklyn. I hope the owners know how incredible the team is, how hard they work every time I sit down to get some work done and see them all do their thing. It was nice seeing those same familiar faces at both locations, it always made the place feel like home.

I met a friend here on the way to a restaurant for coffee because it was going to be a long night. The coffee was fine, it’s a little pretentious but I knew it was one of those gentrified type of places when I walked in, however, the coffee was good enough so I’m ok with that. I feel like the person taking my friend’s order blanked out a bit when she asked for a dry cappuccino and probably didn’t know what that meant, but that’s not a normal request so I get it. The bathroom was nice and very clean which is a huge plus and that earned the extra star for me. A clean bathroom for me means the place is clean.
Stopped in to grab an iced vanilla latte - paid $7 for a cup of milk with a splash of coffee and syrup… Despite the lackluster coffee the place had a great vibe, ample places to sit, and a nice outdoor space. The service was also quick and the food options looked good. If you want a cute place to take a coffee/tea date or to sit and work for a bit, this place is it, if you’re looking for good coffee there’s plenty of other spots in the area.
Today. 12/9/24 @ 9:15AM I stopped by Sweetbee for an iced latte and something to eat. Before entering, I checked the menu online, which offered bagels with cream cheese, so I ordered that. However, when I placed my order, the male cashier was dismissive and rude. In a condescending tone, he told me they didn’t have bagels and cream cheese. His tone was so off-putting, it made me clutch my pearls. Fortunately, the young lady working with him kindly informed me that while they didn’t have bagels with cream cheese, they did offer a croissant with cream cheese, which turned out to be quite good. Still, Mr. Rude could use some customer service training to improve his demeanor.
I like this coffee shop and it's my closest neighborhood spot. The ambiance is great and service is usually decent. However, they recently revamped the food menu and the new sandwich I had was legitimately bad. It was unfresh and greasy, and served with a side of equally greasy potato chips (which tasted like regular Lays chips). Also, not sure why a sandwich order was packed to go with a plastic spoon, fork and knife. My sandwich, a veggie option and one of the cheapest, was over $20 with tax and tip. This is nearly double the old menu. At that price point there are better options in the neighborhood. Will return for drinks but the food is a pass.
Cute little spot with a secret patio tucked away in the neighborhood. Coffee was very yummy, service was a little meh. Attendant I had the other day made zero eye contact with me and seemed like she was over her shift or maybe I just caught her in a bad day. Tables inside have a no laptop policy unfortunately Fri-Sun so if you’re planning to get any work done you may have to venture elsewhere.
My friend told me about this place when I was still in LA. He was so excited about this place since he had come here to support them since they had just opened, and he admired the beautiful and friendly barista when he came to town. It's my first morning in NYC after five years come back here. We got up at 6:30 am, and it took us 15 mins to be here by train. I was excited to experience a new coffee shop with my friends. It was cute outside, and I were busy recording their beautiful decorations and modern styles for my Vlogs. 10/10 Unfortunately, my mood and cheerful morning completely changed after 2 mins with the cashier that date, and it gave me a wrong impression, and a bit disappointed about this place. Unluckily, my friend's favorite barista was not there, and we got snapped in the morning around 7:30 am by this lady with a heavy, not welcoming at all, and so negative attitude; not sure what happened or why she was rude to us and not happy at all. The whole time we ordered was extremely awkward. We stayed to read books and work a bit, and it was not like that with other clients. So what happened? Trust me, I tried to talk to her nicely even though she wasn't treating us right, and I smiled and wished her a great day. She got better a bit when we were leaving tho. Thank God. I felt terrible if she was like that all day. I did not come here to this coffee to get the damn coffee since so many in NYC offer better coffee, but because my friend wanted to show me his favorite place, I supported him. Please train the staff carefully since it's vital because they bring smiles and positive energy to clients who come here for the coffee to ready for their day/work. It would be nice to keep it consistent with customer service and treat others the same way they are supposed to be treated. This makes your coffee shop more unique and gains more clients.
Beautiful place, but not the friendliest staff. Been here like three times in the past two weeks and have not come across one staff member that was friendly or prioritized customer service. I came here at 7:30 am on a Monday morning when it stated that that was their opening time only to be ignored and shooed away by one of their barista workers. I feel like the other location on Dean Street is way better.
This is a decent neighborhood coffee spot. A nice place to work for a few hours, especially when the weather is nice out as they have a back patio. Customer service is lacking. There is a male barista (with a lot of tattoos) whose head is always buried in his phone vs being attentive to his customers. Also, whenever I go in the early AM, the pastries are never fresh which tells me they’re not purchased daily.

I was out of coffee at home so I went to Sweetbee three mornings this past week, and each time, the baristas were curt and condescending. Mentioned this to a neighbor who said they had the same experiences and stopped going. Why would you want begrudging staff who treat friendly customers like interlopers? Really off-putting, especially when you’re trying to support a local spot and plunking down almost $6 for a cup of coffee. I got more beans to brew coffee at home.
I usually don't give local businesses anything less than five stars, but my experience at Sweetbee this morning was a total downer. The barista there had a super cold attitude and unwelcoming behavior! I also found the pricing to be a bit steep, having paid $6.26 plus tip for a small cappuccino that didn't match up to the experience.
Staff is so strange they make it uncomfortable. It’s too pretentious. Plenty of other options now. My final straw was when they added a new dog sign “sorry NO DOGS” ever not in the outdoor area, not just to order and go, sorry but the owner posts tiktoks bringing his own dog in to do “chores.” If I can’t walk the dog and quickly grab a coffee then I’ll just go to the place that welcomes us. The coffee is only okay. Depends on barista. Not consistent. UPDATE to the employee who responded to my negative review. My dog is also a service dog, yet your staff consistently made us feel uncomfortable even just to order a coffee to go. Once they wouldn’t serve me until they asked if a “service dog was okay” to someone not at the counter. If you’re hiring people, train them in customer care. I will avoid this coffee shop whenever possible.
The spot is wonderful ! But the waiter (young white lady)was really not welcoming me properly. The internet is not working at all, and when i asked for help she was just « it is what is is i cannot help » so i paid and left. It is sad cause i am a digital nomad just visiting and needed wifi … reason why i came here. So having a nice spot is not enough you guys need to fix your wifi and be a bit more welcoming !
I entered this small coffee shop located in Brooklyn mid-morning on a Tuesday. In the passage of my professional travels I had minutes to met my destination for arrival scheduled time of meeting. The male cashier/server fend a very stolid, apathetic and nonchalant dissent opposition of any food offerings. I wanted either a pastry or a bagel on-the-go. I did not want a full lunch meal. I certainly did not want to dine-in either. This business has seasonal winter hours for an early opening. I later decided with small hot chocolate to warm my heart shielding from New York's brutal winter blues. After scanning the small bakery glass encasement of their very limited pastries I inquired if there were any chocolate chip cookies or croissant. "NO!" Well, what about bagels? Again, "NO!" Okay, what about a small sandwich? "NO!" Try for what about chocolate chip muffin? "NO!" Oh! This male cashier/server adamantly responded in a ill mockery manner laugh. Oh! Then, how about hot chocolate? "NO!" This was my cue to make a fast exit and feeling utterly dispirited with despondence. Rejection is abhorrent. I understand "NO" for rejection and the debased, berated for belittling without empathy or an ounce of compassion. Forget you Sweetbee! You are surely not so-called "sweet" with nothing I coveted for my desideratum and very limited food offerings. There is no substance for value measurement from this small business. Not even by half measurement. Bitterbee is the corrected business name. Bye Felicia!
