This place is amazing! Legos galore!!!
Great neighborhood toy store.
Awesome store with lots of selection!
Has everything from Legos to notebooks.
Loved it it was sooo awesome
Fun in the sun. Lots of toys.
Beautiful store
Cool store
Good plushies
I was in the area for plushies and I was very happy with their selection - practically had an armful of chicks and chickens in five minutes! Staff made friendly conversation and shared their favorites of the flock. I was excited to bag a funny leggy Chaz Floppy Chicken. Will need to come back for more :)
My family and I alternate between Little Things and Norm and Jules for birthday and holiday gifts. Both stores are local and it is important to support them, but they have different selections. I find the staff here a little less friendly but overall it is a good experience and happy to have them in the neighborhood.
Very nice place! Sweet owners and nice shop! It’s a huge party store with loads of kid toys with some decent toys and good brands! Lego galore also transformers and cars and trucks and loads of play-dou and tons of girl stuff!
So many great toys to select from. Great service from the person on duty. Well, the toys are expensive but if you look long enough you might find something under 30 dollars. Great selection of science toys.
Staff were super helpful. Even lay on the floor to help me measure the size of a kiddie pool! Much prefer to shop here a s support local business (60 years in neighbourhood)
The best toy store in New York really nice employees! And they have everything what a kid would like!
They have toys for sale, yes, but just saying the name of the store is fun! I'm glad that they could move into the corner spot and hope that they thrive as purveyors of toys and umbrellas that change color.
Wonderful sales staff who helped me find exactly what I asked for in minutes. Had a lovely experience!
Very kind hearted owner, with a great variety of toys, both nostalgic and new. excited for the next time I have to go toy shopping
Love Little Things! A lovely little spot for a quick toy store run or an afterschool toy store visit. It's a neighborhood institution.
Nice gold Lego store better selection than online. Lots of gifts for the little ones and bigger ones too
They have an outstanding selection of toys. I can always find a gift for a child's birthday party here.
Very knowledgeable staff, amazing selection. We really enjoyed shopping here.
Holy cow! Amazing selection of LEGOs and other toys.
Sells jellycat toys. Well curtailed and clean toy store
Amazing toy store in Park Slope. Shop local!
Never buying toys from Target or BN again
Helpful employees and a great selection
The best kids toy store around Park Slope. The not only have anything and everything you can want but they also have the best brands in each category. Go up the block to their other Little Things Too... That store has more art and science. Great staff, store has been in Park slope for manay many years. Bring the kids, they sometimes have play days.
This store was great for little children's toys before, but even better now that they've relocated! Much more open and nice spot on the corner of block. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They're not pushy at all either. Perfect fit the neighborhood
Went into the expanded little things, with a huge selection of games, legos, fidgets and more all at very reasonable prices (even compared to online). Really helpful staff that loves what they do. There is all the reason to shop local here!
Loved all the options. Support local toy stores.
If you are looking for a great toy store in the area THIS IS IT!!!! Inside you'll find the the most kindest, honest and ready to help staff!! I bought pretty much everything I was looking for, also you can find a second location just across the street. I Found the store in a very unique way, probably I'll be back for a Christmas gift for my niece.

we are so lucky to have stores like these in our neighborhood! I came in to little things totally lost, with a specific gift idea for a friend’s new baby. one of the amazing employees immediately came to my help, and recommended some amazing items that friends and their baby ABSOLUTELY loved.
This place is a Park Slope institution that's been around for as long as I can remember. And it's still amazing. Three-plus storefronts' worth of what seems like every toy imaginable. I stopped in recently to get a gift for a 7yo boy and was at a total loss for ideas. The store manager (or owner? I wish I had asked her name) jumped into action and spent the next 10 minutes walking me through every section of the store and giving me so many ideas my head was spinning. Then I found the Lego room, with its comprehensive selection of Lego Architecture and other adult-oriented Lego sets, and I nearly forgot why I stopped in in the first place!
Recently visited the part of the store on the west side of the street. Wonderful store with a great selection of toys and games. Very attentive and thoughtful service. The woman we dealt with at the register took the time to help my young daughter count her money, then counted out the change as she gave it to her.
The best general toy store in the neighborhood. They've been here my whole life and it still gives me joy to go in a shop. Competitive pricing, helpful staff, and their ever present smiles keep them in business. In the summer they put out a play table full of Brio trains for passers by to play with. This store is a cornerstone to the community that is Park Slope.
Awesome toys & gifts! The customer service was unmatched! It's our go to just as an outing sometimes!
I miss the times of old when they have the two stores and it was super eclectic. Much cleaner and more organized but def doesn’t feel like an adventure every time you enter. Little Things has been a parkslope staple for decades and it’s great to be able to share the place that was so magical when we were kids with our own kiddos.
Stumbled in on the store after seeing the massive Lego section in the window. I was immediately greeted by a smile and a warm welcome. I spent about 10 minutes browsing the store with my daughter and it was very nostalgic. Although I left empty handed Little Things will be my go-to store for gifts from this point on.
I had such a great experience at Little Things Toy Store! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. I had a concern about the condition of one of the boxes for an item I was collecting, and the owner was just as thoughtful and concerned as I was. She actually advised me not to purchase it because she didn’t want me to walk away with a bad impression—something you don’t see often these days. After spending more time chatting, I could see how genuinely passionate she is about what she does. That honesty and care completely won me over. I left with trust and appreciation, and I’ll definitely be back!
Very cute store! The staff were kind and helpful, and I found a nice selection of activity books for my kiddos.

Lovely toys
I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for Little Things. It's one of the oldest toy stores in the Slope. While it's no Al's Toyland (remember they days?), Little Things has toys for kids and adults alike. The store moved many years ago from a three storefront location but the items in their current location – just across the street – are some of the best toys around. From wooden train sets to Harry Potter items to stickers and arts supplies, Little Things is my one-stop destination for last-minute gifts for all ages.
When little things first opened decades ago, they stocked things that went with their name, small items for children and adults. Now they are a toy store, two actually--one for babies and toddlers and one for older children. And they're a good toystore. But I miss being able to but little things.
A little on the pricey side but what can you expect from any Store located within Park Slope. The store itself holds a large selection and goes all the way back. There even a train set for kids to play as parents shop
Wonderland find in Park Slope. I wandered into the flagship and met Mitch who was very welcoming and informative. Impressive selection and variety of toys, games, puzzles, etc. — especially for the shop size. I have lots of little ones in my world so Mitch suggested I check out their newborn - age 5 shop across the street. It was also very cute and Ralph was helpful and funny. Big bonus for me: Surprisingly broad range of skin colors and hair textures in both dolls and book protagonists. Finding representation for kids should not be a notable thing in 2024, but it totally is. Great service and warm vibe. I’ll be a repeat customer.

Bad customer service
Interesting corner shop
The store is very cute and has a lot of toys and big selection but unfortunatelyMy daughter called them and asked If she could hold an item which is a very broad question, and they immediately replied with nope we are not putting any thing on hold and hung up in a unkind tone
Gift wrapping service leaves a lot to be desired. Really poor presentation, and this was after I asked them to wrap it a second time because the first looked EVEN UGLIER!!!! 🤢🤮
I love what this toy store offers, but the staff attitude is what makes me give them 2 stars. They make you feel like you're bothering them by buying at the store, almost like they are in a rush for you to leave and stop wasting their time. Not a pleasant experience.
Pricey with a decent selection but the woman with brown hair who works there is angry and seems almost annoyed at the parents and children shopping there. It was not a pleasant experience at all and makes we prefer to shop on Amazon rather than deal with nasty, rude, angry people.

the older lady in there is incredibly rude. i've given this place business multiple times and she still follows my friends and i everywhere like we're going to steal something. whenever we accidentally bump something she groans and sighs. genuinely ruins the mood in there
This review is for the Little Things Store across the street for older kids but it doesn’t come up on Google Maps so I cannot review directly - however I have encountered the same rude older employee with short hair at both stores. We have spent at least $1000 at these stores and as our child has grown we have now switched to really only frequenting the store for older kids but unfortunately as much as my child loves coming here the constant almost harassment from this employee asking if we are almost done, if have we found what we looking for, offering under her breath to make an excuse to convince my child to leave - it’s bizarre because why have the small tables with trains and legos for kids to play with if she is going to loom over us and rush people out the door - it’s a real pity because we try to support the neighborhood and shop local and a toy shop should be a special place with a great atmosphere for kids and I’m now having to convince my kid to go elsewhere just to avoid this treatment.
They have good stuff but when I went there with my friend the second we walked in the old lady there was really nasty and when we were looking for putty she was telling us where it was and when we didn’t see it she yelled at us and gave us a nasty face would not go again

I’ve been in the store a few times and received the same experience not sure if the older lady is a manager or owner, but makes you feel unwelcome the second you come in and follows you around such an unpleasant experience was hoping to support a local business will definitely not be going back unfortunately
Non-negotiable prices at a mom and pop shop that sells product at double, triple the MSPR(Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price). They Probably don’t care because the area is filled with rich Caucasians, if you are looking to get ripped off this is the place for you.
Old lady wrapped my toy really bad. Worst staff. Rude. Do not recommend at all! Go other toy stores. Dont waste your time.

The only kid-friendly thing about Little Things Toy Store is the fact that they sell toys. In my opinion, the store's atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Worst of all, the staff (including the owner or manager...I'm not sure) were rude and condescending. Sadly, he was dismissive and unkind towards my 6-year-old. Quite appalling, to say the least. I truly hope he changes his attitude and becomes welcoming to precious little ones that visit the store.
The people that work here are unnecessarily condescending and rude. I don’t think they even like children. One of the old women that works here follows people around the store like a hateful grim reaper skeleton. The sister store for older kids across the street is exponentially better and nicer. Like night and day.
This place has been in business for years. It isn’t as good as it used to be. There is a short haired woman who works there who has awful customer service, she is dismissive, has a condescending, unprofessional attitude, and from my observation, this woman is selective with how she treats customers based on whatever biases she may have. I recall feeling cheated after I spent money there. Giving the local business the benefit of the doubt, I’ve gone back to the shop and had the same cold unwelcoming experience. I since have decided not to spend a nickel in Little Things.
Have been supporting this store for years but am echoing other recent reviewers about being treated with condescension and disdain by the older women who worked here. They asked us to tell them exactly what we were looking for at least half a dozen times in the 10 minutes we were in there. Scolding us for touching anything and telling me I needed to leave my dry umbrella at the door. There’s a difference between offering assistance and allowing customers to browse and demanding to know what we are specially looking for. Maybe I don’t know yet! What an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. These two women should go work at the DMV instead of a toy store.
This store is very cute, but unfortunately the attitude of the staff was not. The older woman working there was extremely rude toward my friend and me. As soon as we walked in, she told us we couldn’t have our food out, which is completely understandable. We immediately put it away in our bag, yet she still made another comment about it. After that, she followed us to the back of the store while we were looking at Calico Critters. She asked if we needed help, and we politely said we were just browsing, but she continued to stand right next to us and watch us closely. It felt very uncomfortable, especially since she was not treating any other customers that way. At one point she even went to ask another customer if they needed help, but it seemed like it was just to remain nearby and continue watching us. We ended up leaving because we felt unwelcome. Afterwards, I noticed other reviews describing similar experiences, which is disappointing because it seems like nothing has been done to address it. We will not be returning or supporting this business again. It’s a shame, because we were excited to visit before this experience.
