Food is AMAZING but who ever answers the phone for the orders has no patience & a tad bit rude we pay to eat which keep the business running be a little more nicer :)
I cannot say enough about this place. They had the best beef tripe stew I have ever tasted,not to mention the pig feet and oxtail. I also had the chicharones. Everything was amazing. I wanted to taste everything. The staff and service was super friendly and they give great portions. I definitely left a big tip. I went to visit my daughter, as I flew in from Albuquerque New Mexico. I'm a born and raised New Yorker but haven't had tripe, oxtails or pig feet this good, unless I make it myself.
Great Dominican spot. Their menu has a large variety of items and most of them are inexpensive. Ordered delivery through seamless and the delivery driver was very kind and smiled at me when dropping off the food. Thank you Tropical Coffee Shop.
They food great, Dominican Ower, small place, can seat & eat. Not fancy
We have been eating from this restaurant 4 yrs. Their fd is delicious, fresh, n priced right. If anyone likes fd cooked by Spanish speaking ppl, they will love this place. The chicken, ribs, stewed beef, turkey wings, roast or fried pork, r all delicious n go well with rice n beans with plantains on the side. N, they have gd sandwiches, salads, n breakfast as well.

The food is good. The only problem I have is the price spike. There is a sign in the store that says the price went up due to the pandemic.. but in all Reality they are a business and got a PPP loan to recover any Losses. This is all public information. #StopRobbingTheCommunity
Waited 2 hours for breakfast and it was so cold. The delivery guy took 1 hour to reach my apt. Building and I’m less than a 30 minute walk from them. The food is always good and flavorful. The ladies are so sweet and polite.
I work near this restaurant and the service is HORRIBLE. The delivery service take way to long and they always get something wrong.
The food here is decent, but the customer service is not so great. They are not very welcoming. The old lady with the glasses is not friendly. Over all they definitely can do better for the food they provide because their prices are NOT WORTH IT!!!!
After coming here a few times over the last year and a half here is my review: the employees are rude. Their online ordering menu has been messed up this entire time. They don’t read notes. Grab a quick bite but don’t expect much.
I ordered French toast and gyro!! French toast was ok, not so great. Gyro was not good the once you get from the street vans are sooo much better. Service was good.

Please don’t waste your time or your money worst breakfast ever. The old lady in the front always have a attitude, if anyone is looking for good breakfast, just walk up the block to Loma
The lady in the front is very rude to the customers she always got her nose turn up how can you treat customers like this when if it wasn’t for this community your business wouldn’t be thriving she needs to watch how she talk to people cuz it nothin to report her to the better business borough so she needs to get her shit together
I just order a 3 golpe from this place. How can you mess up a 3 golpe. My order was $15 just for the mangu, 2 slices of salami, 2 fried cheese and 2 eggs. This thing is SOOOOOO NASTY couldn't even it eat it, this Mangu was NASTY. It looks like vomit. The place LOOKED clean. The service was also nasty, they thought I didn't speak Spanish and they started to talk smack in Spanish under there breath so I had to hit them with the Buenos dias real quick.
Every time I try to give them a chance they mess up the order. If I order through Grubhub I’ll contact Grubhub about their error. If Grubhub decides to give me my money back they will call and harass you about you canceling whatever order. This has happened to me and so many other people in the community. They need to pay more attention and stop harassing their customers if they’re the ones making the error.
Tropical Cafe’s service is horrible! They were 2.5 hours late with my food. Order from Angie’s Breakfast Spot instead. They’re always on time and the food is not greasy, way better quality.
The staff is beyond disrespectful called me back yelling that the delivery driver been outside but they gave him the wrong number so I never received not one call. I called back for an apology and the lady yelled at me again and hung up. Ya should be grateful your business is still open during this pandemic but with attitudes like yours it can definitely go downhill. Ya definitely lost my business
