The food is delicious and the portions are great for the price. You can get one appetizer and two entrees for $50. Average Thai price but great for the area. The staff is very nice.
Delicious! I was surprised at how tasty and refreshing the Thai veggie salad was. I could’ve eaten more. The pad Thai was delicious, I wanted even more but actually the portion size was perfect, not too little and not too much. Speaking of portions, I thought it was really reasonably and fairly priced, especially during the lunch hour / happy hour. Also our waiter was really funny. Only thing I’d mention, the front step is really steep and easy to trip over so watch for that.
When I say this is the best Thai restaurant in the US, I mean it. I’ve been coming here since 2020 during Covid when the entire street used to do outdoor dining. Everything in this restaurant is 100/10 but their mango salad is to die for. I usually come once a year now since I moved out of state but best believe I always come back. I’ve brought so many people to this restaurant since & every single one of them falls in love with the food. My most recent visit was July 18th. I brought my little cousin & her mom. After my little cousin tasted the food she was like “I love Thai food now” she ate everything & was asking for more🤣🤣 The customer service and atmosphere is also a 10/10. Highly recommended.
I had the urge for some Thai food, so I passed by with my son. We both ordered the same thing. Thai rice with chicken. I saw the menu had 2 little chili peppers next to it, and the waitress told me it's spicy. I said that's not a problem and proceeded with my order. When the food arrived, I took two bites and instantly started drinking water! Whoa! I should've heeded her warning, lol . I could feel the heat on my teeth, gums, and tongue. My son and I were instantly laughing so much because of the level of spice. The food was soooo good, though, so we weren't going to stop eating it. The waitress poured us about 3 to 4 glasses of water back to back. We laughed and continued our amazing meal. It sure was an experience, a very good and entertaining. I don't typically order spicy food, so this was a new experience for me.
I rarely review restaurants but every single bit of the place was amazing! The food was so good, the portions were big (I came in starving and left with leftovers), the place is so cute (definitely a good first date spot), and the price was not bad at all. My cousin and I both got dinners, extra side of rice, both got big fancy drinks, and we split an appetizer-- came out to $60. With the quality of the food, you'd think it'd be at least $80. I'm definitely coming back!!
My fiancée and I love this place so much. We come here often. The service is always amazing, fast, and so welcoming. I almost always get the panang curry with chicken because it is heavenly. Literally one of the best flavors I have ever had. Tonight we tried the duck roll. It was amazing. My fiancée had the drunken lo mein with chicken. I snuck a few bites and it was fantastic, my fiancée loved it too. Highly recommend this place. A gem in Williamsburg, you must go!
I must admit I enjoy eating great Thai food, that is the reason I always visit Thailand for a holiday. Different curry dishes to die for, but that is quite an expensive trip for food. I agree that is why I visited Williamsburg Thai Cuisine. They deliver great home-cooked meals that swear you are in Thailand. Do not follow my old habits, but head to this wonderful restaurant to tickle your taste buds. Why this Restaurant in particular and not the others? Food of course... The service they provided was amazing, so I would give them an A+. A few days ago, I have pretended that I never ate Thai food before, just to see how they would deliver their customer service. You know is very important to deliver excellent customer experience, then work backward towards the food. The gentlemen delivered just that from the minute I stepped through their doors to time I said good night. I guess, they want to make sure you are happy, if not they will feel disappointed. Don't worry you did a great job.
The curry is very spicy almost too spicy to enjoy. The calamari was awesome and the plum wine was good. First time having it. Up date update. I went today 11/12 calamari was burnt and over cooked mango salad was good. Glass noodles with shrimp.... The shrimp was about 2 day expired. Ruined my whole experience. Sniff ya seafood. You can't sauce up expired shrimp unfortunately.
I was in the area and was craving some Thai food. They have an extensive menu, with lots of vegetarian options (including vegetarian duck!). I shared some vegetable steamed dumplings and vegetable spring rolls with a friend. I found the dumplings a bit bland and the spring rolls too oily. I had a Tom Yum noodle soup with tofu for my main. Once again, I thought it was a bit bland though it was packed with spices and seasonings, I’ve had better. But it was still a comforting soup. On the other hand, service was amazing! Quick service, and everyone was so nice, polite and attentive.
I often visit this area and I've seen this place before, so I finally stopped by. The place is small, typical for this area. The service is nice and very fast, they are able to advise. I enjoyed Tom yum soup (I like it), it was very good, very loaded. a bit spicy. I also took the Masaaman Curry. Also full of vegetables and chicken. Very good, and the peanut sauce is amazing!!! The prices are very reasonable!!! I recommend it and bon appetit!!!!
We came here for dinner without reservation one Saturday evening. We were surprised that they still use a partition in-betweens dining tables indoors, but we didnt complain about it since we felt safe and had some privacy while dining. We ordered crispy shrimp rolls and fried calamari for appetizers, both dishes were delicious starters. We then ordered whole fried red snapper on tamarind sauce together with traditional fried rice with chicken. It was delicious and the portion is good to share by two people. I added an extra star when our server offered to debone the fish and he practically removed all the meat from the head to tail of the fish. We were completely satisfied with our dinner here, good food and efficient service. We are looking forward to trying other dishes on their menu soon.
Was not planning on having lunch in Williamsburg while waiting for my Apple product but this ended up being a great find! A bit tight for the seating but the food was definitely worth it. I also am not a fan of Pad Thai because the taste is off butttt this place had amazing Pad Thai. The smell of the food was amazing and the taste was even better! I highly recommend this place! They also serve bubble tea!!! Two dishes with two cokes ended up totaling to 33$ which is not bad compared to other prices.
The food here is good, but the lunch specials are a total rip-off. I just ordered a green curry and it's about 1/3 the size of the regular entree. It makes no financial sense to ever order one of these, because the "free appetizer" you get is also tiny. My tiny child's green curry barely had any sauce in it. The veggie dumplings were also pretty mediocre and small for $10. I spent $35 for way less food than you would ever get at Thai Cafe, Boon Thai, or the other neighborhood spots :(
Ok place if you're hungry. Summer rolls were very bland, no corriander, no mint, no chives, nothing giving it flavor. It only came with tamarind no sauce no peanut sauce. The tom yum noodle soup with beef came after 40 min of ordering and my guess is that they forgot it in the kitchen because the rice noodles were so overcooked by the time they brought it. The soup itself was very flavorful though and was the best thing we ordered so far. The beef bits in the soup were absolutely tasteless and had a weird texture though.
Food wasn’t worth the price. If you want a bang for your buck don’t go here. Staff was rude when trying to split the bill.
The staff had a terrible attitude, the food was extremely lackluster, and I paid wayyy too much. It must have been the worst Thai food I’ve had to eat. They pressure you to tip a high amount and are extremely disrespectful to a paying customer.
