The Habit

It was busy in there I used the kiosk to place order notice the guy behind me got his food first. Had to ask for my drink cup.

The burgers and the sweet potato fries were awesome. The young lady taking our order was very friendly. The other 4 or so ladies working in the kitchen area were really hustling.

4/5 stars because of incorrect Google hours vs store hours. Imagine my delight seeing restaurant open between 9-10pm after 4 hours of driving, to instead arrive in person and see they closed at 9, but have the drive through open until 10. Hopefully it updates soon, but otherwise, 5/5 food. Food ordered: Chicken Club sandwich on a roll, fries and a drink.

While it was a good burger, the claim that it’s better than In-N-Out is a stretch in my opinion. The burger reminded me of a better quality Burger King burger and the fries were pretty good. The tempura green beans were wonderful though. It’s certainly worth a try, and a good option, but if there was an In-N-Out next door, I’m choosing In-N-Out each and every time.

All in all, The Habit is a fantastic option for a high-quality burger that’s a step above typical fast-food chains, but be prepared for a small wait. A very respectable four stars.

food is good. service is fair. no eye contact with server/ cashier when asking for condiments or a bag because order was to go. always seems that there is never enough persons at front counter during lunch hour rush. Somedays when I order a salad I get the whole garden and I can barely close the box. other times a few croutons & 3 cherry tomatoes and a sprinkling of lettuce.

We stopped here for lunch. There is onsite parking. Handicap parking available and handicap accessible. The order counter rep seemed to be hurried since he was the only one up front. There were a few people for late afternoon lunch. The tables and floor were not clean. Debri on the floor and crumbs on table. Our meal took 45 minutes to be served. This is the longest we've waited for fast food. The sandwiches were good. We probably won't stop here again.

Crispy chicken bites and fries were cold. After remaking the fries, they were stiff and flavorless. Burger patties were crispy and dried out. Not sure Habit is the right name for this place.

Inconsistent - got our order wrong the last two times. Ordered double char, charged for double char but only get a single patty. Annoying to be charged for something you aren’t getting. This is a drive-thru order and it’s often not worth the effort to drive all the way back to fix the order.

I came to lunch today in Buellton and we had three chewy/raw burgers total waste of money, unhappy customers today I tried to get an extra green bean sauce and she only gave me one too. Would love a refund 😂

Dang. I know I should ck my food before I leave, but did not tonight. I just got home and all my sandwiches were supposed to be sauce free. The albacore and chicken sandwiches not only had mayonnaise on them, but a TON of it, on both sides of the bread. Ruined. Just warning everyone, check your food before you leave this place.

If I could give a negative review I would! Worst service ever!!!! Over an hour for a Caesar salad staff has no sense of urgency they walk as slow as possible and literally stand around doing nothing for every guest to see. Sad!!!

Ive come to habit many times and this is by far the worst service ive ever had here! Its been taking forever, sometimes waiting 1/2 hour in drive through. Tonight i sat at the speaker 10 minutes and nobody ever responded. I even honked... cars behind me. When i pulled through to leave employess were standing at the register. No customers, that was about 8:05 pm , they close at 9:30. Terrible!

We were the only person in the drive through and they made us wait more than 10 min to place our order.

Joined the drive in line, 2 vehicles ahead. Took 15 to 20 mins from order to receiving food. Charburger with cheese, burger itself limp, cold and tasteless. Took it back in, given a different burger, but the cheese was missing. On the third attempt got a warmish burger inside the bun and salad. Still not great, no real flavour and poor texture.Very greasy. Crispy chicken bites so overcooked they were to hard to eat, again very greasy. Sweet potato fries OK. Staff very slow, and did not seem to know what they were doing. What a shame.

Had to send back my order twice ppl at the counter walk away when asking for help there were 6 ppl running everywhere yet only one girl at thd counter who was semi helpful but just kept walking off. Maybe dont do both a drive thru and an eat in restaurant 🤔 wont be back.

I hope the owner of this restaurant reaches out to me to come in as a manager because I'll fire every last one of those and hire people that care about their job. I never got a chance to find out if the food was any good because the service was so poor that nobody would ask me if I've been helped. My parents owned a diner in New Jersey and I literally grew up in the food service industry. I know when a restaurant isn't being run properly and it's very obvious that this is the case in buellton. I've eaten other habit burgers and the product is very good and the service is always been very good. I totally understand why your restaurant was empty at lunch time on the day after Christmas. Would you like to hire a professional kitchen and restaurant manager?

I don’t buy it! Used to. As an SB native, I remember when the Habit was the bomb! Now, I live in Solvang and the last three times we’ve ordered from Buellton, we’ve had to go back because they have shorted our order. Today, it was my Char Burger. Come guys! Check your orders!!! Not coming back!!

Did not receive my drinks for 2 orders had a child with me didn’t realize until driving home. Called the phone number asked if Santa Maria could honor the 2 drinks I was told no! I asked please I will not have time to head back to Buellton they said you need to drive back or we can not honor it at any other location. I said I would leave a bad a review they said they didn’t care nothing they could do.
