Cleanest glass of water I’ve ever had🫡
I really enjoy this place every time we go. The ambiance may be unassuming, but the freshness and flavor is wonderful. I love the veggie options and the ease of service
Came in solo for a relaxing 😌 meal and time to myself. Saigon didn’t disappoint. The food is always tasty and the LOVELY hostess ~server~ bartender Diamond (it was slow when I first arrived) was so elegant and gracious. Sometimes it’s weird to eat out alone, but she sat me by the window and checked on me just enough to make me feel seen. Had the Pad Thai with shrimp, veggie spring roll and an order of coconut shrimp to take home for later!! . 5 stars ⭐️ and special kudos to Diamond, the lovely server/hostess!
While I have never been able to physically go to the location here, I DoorDash from here often! This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Buffalo. I always have a craving for Pad See Ew and Saigon Cafe has the best one I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a new place to try and anything on the menu interests you… definitely go!
This place is a neighborhood gem. We live just a few blocks away and like to go here on Sunday nights. Never had a bad meal. Ordered the BBQ pork vermicelli tonight and the house sauce was absolutely excellent. I love it when a chef challenges you - and when you order a "4" spicy here, they don't disappoint. The nice thing is that there is a wonderful flavor to go along with the heat. They don't phone it in here. Good stuff!
This was my first time dining here with my Vietnamese boyfriend, and it was fantastic. We went at a slow time before the dinner rush and the service from Diamond SPARKLED. We highly recommend the Nem Cuon rolls and the grilled pork chop, which came with 2 surprise shrimps. The pho ga broth was so fragrant and clean, and they serve it with authentic green chilies instead of jalapeño peppers. I hate eating meat with tendons, cartilage, and bone, and have been put off by the meat at Asian restaurants before, but the pho ga was served with small, palatable pieces of chicken breast which I enjoyed. We also tried the wasabi steak salad; we had never seen this dish served at any other Southeast Asian restaurant before and it sounded good. Very little wasabi is melted into creamy seasoned butter and this is the salad dressing. Crisp romaine, tomato cooked but still firm, green onion and shallots, cucumber and delicious grilled flank steak. It was so unique, flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. We are very glad we tried this bo tai wasabi salad. Would come here again for sure. Wishing Saigon Cafe good luck in business, and prosperity and happiness for all employees, especially DIAMOND. God bless you all.
Excellent Green Curry with coconut & chicken...white rice. Had the Cabinet.... Entire meal was excellent. Seated immediately in the front Corner booth table. Waiter very attentive and bar staff gracious as we were leaving. I especially like their ice water with a hint of cucumber very refreshing after spicy food. Will return for sure.
Enjoyed an authentic Vietnamese lunch. Had springrolls, summer rolls, chicken satay, grilled pork chop, small bowl of pho, and sake flight. The server, Diamond had a great personality and was very attentive. The cook kept coming out to see how we liked our food. We left very full able satisfied. It tasted like home cooking.
Ordered the summer roll and the Cơm Sườn Tôm Nướng Trứng, both were pretty good! Slightly puzzled by the utensils though: got chopsticks and a knife with the summer rolls, and a spoon with a knife for the entrée. Not a big deal, just... interesting to say the least. The restaurant was kind of dead (only saw 2 parties dining in) around 6:30 PM on a Friday. I really wonder how restaurants like this stay in business.
Enjoyed my meal. Took a bit to get my menu once I was seated but with only one server around at the time that is perfectly okay. Wonton soup was very good. Drank all of it quickly despite how hot it was. Burnt my tongue a bit but it was worth. Thai fried rice was okay. Has a little of a charred taste to it but not too overbearing. In general it was a good meal and visit
Super weird, I've had green curry so many times, it's my go-to Thai, but this wasn't it. Super bland, no salt, no sweet, just thicker milky sauce with zero flavor. I had my family try because I started thinking something was wrong with my taste buds, they said it was the worst curry they've ever tried. I think maybe the cook didn't finish it? I don't know how else to explain how bad this was. I had to throw it away. You can see the picture. Bummer. I'm giving 2 starts because the fried spring rolls and fried rice were okay, but would not order again. Even peanut sauce on the side tasted off.
Ordered summer rolls and two vermicelli Bun bowls. The summer rolls looked great! Unfortunately they were not edible. They were so chewy and tasteless. The pork bun had a meat called bbq pork. It was clearly a pressed roll of meat as it was an odd pink. Granted we ordered to go . It came with vermicelli, a cucumber slice and old bean sprouts. The spring roll Bun came with same tasteless bean sprouts. However the spring rolls were edible. This is a hard pass for Vietnamese food.
On12/6/25 I ordered beef soup. To my surprise I had extra protein in it. A BUG! I REPORTED it directly. They didn't seem to care. Then offered me a credit but no refund. Why would I buy a fresh bowl of bug soup? No thank you. I will be reporting this to the health department in the a.m.
Appalling Staff Behavior Ruins the Meal. While the food was generally okay, the experience was completely overshadowed by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff. Specifically, the waitress and the bartender were openly laughing at me and making fun of me throughout my time there. Their behavior was not subtle; it was obvious and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, targeted, and humiliated. No customer should ever have to endure this kind of treatment. It created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere that completely ruined what should have been a pleasant meal. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to think twice before dining here if this is the level of courtesy they can expect.
Food was good but portions could be bigger. I really got into the store with a lot of excitement! Unfortunately I see on the menu they give you 3 satay as well as it says on the menu they give 3 satay. I server was good like average service but the restaurant is very well decorated and very clean but like I said food portions not good and they underserved me. Why didn't I ask in the store because I did not realize I was underserved. Sadly won't return but best of luck. Btw Duck Breast had more mushrooms than actual duck breast.
Extremely disappointing food. Can’t believe how bland tasteless and insipid the food was. The green Thai curry was only sugar and coconut milk. The noodles was thick flat one inch wide doughy mass served with some fried tofu and a bland liquid which was supposed to be some sauce. The broccoli in garlic sauce was equally disappointing as in the whole dish there must be only 3 or 4 pieces of broccoli. No doubt the food was fresh but totally unpalatable. There was no differentiation between the dishes as all tasted the same bland tasteless pile of food. Only good part was that it was open till 10:30 pm and after the concert one of the few options open where vegan food was available. Would Not recommend if you want some authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Totally feel we wasted money.
