Very tight and difficult course. A lot of course management and target golf. This is no forgiving course. Playing smart golf, rather than hammering away. Look out for DeTrees!!

Hilltop hosted the reception for my son's Bar Mitzvah on Oct 9th and it was an AWESOME evening. The food and drink were fabulous and the service was exceptional. Everything went according to plan thanks to all the fabulous staffers who treated all of our guests like family. The event came together thanks to all the hard work done behind the scenes by Meredith Anderson. She was so easy to work with, so accommodating and such a great voice of reason when we were discussing options. From everything being done on time, to having our favorite foods as requested, to even making sure my favorite tequila, Riazul, was available that night, I cannot thank her enough. So if you want an awesome event at a wonderful location, I cannot recommend Hilltop enough.

We had our 40th high school reunion at DeBell last week. It couldn't have gone better. This is a perfect venue for any party. Since it is located on a golf course, we had it all to ourselves. There was plenty of parking and easy to find. We had the dj inside who could play the music as loud as we wanted. People who didn't want to dance could go outside to talk and enjoy the beautiful view. There were plenty of tables inside and out. The bar is large and the bartenders were great. Meredith was very helpful in helping us make choices that were right for our party. I give DeBell 5+ stars and would definitely recommend this venue for any party you are planning

My husband and I were married at DeBell one month ago, and it was AMAZING! Meredith and her crew made the whole process painless. We received so many compliments on the venue, service, and food. It truly is the best kept secret in Burbank - I am so grateful to have found it! We love DeBell and the experience we had.

This is by far the best golf course in LA. It is a hidden gem, a genuine diamond in the rough.... the rolling hills, the mountain view and the wildlife just adds to the charm. This place is where I want to play for the rest of my life! The club house is warm and inviting and the food is excellent.

Love love love Debell! We worked with Meredith for our wedding and she was amazing! Super super organized! Payed attention to detail! And answered all of questions in a timely manner. Our wedding day was spectacular!! We loved and enjoyed every minute! Our guest could not stop talking about how beautiful the view was and how great the food was! The food was amazing!!! I would 100% recommend Debell for any event!! Will definitely be going back for our anniversary! Or just on a date or to golf! The staff at Debell made us feel at ease and helped us with whatever they could! 100% recommend!

This was the second disc golf location I checked out in my area. While the course was very clean, it's not free to play... guess that's how they afford the up keep. Not to mention it's a short course. I think it was only 9 baskets. I liked being able to throw long shots but the first hole/baskets drop off was crazy! Warning: Park at your own risk because people are playing actual golf with golf balls nearby!

D
Daniel Oot

Fantastic course. NOT easy. Challenging course with quite a few par 4/5’s with big bends so your irons have to be solid. Fast putting greens, not a lot of chance for driver but honestly I like it because it’s HARD

C
Carey Riggsbee

The staff is always helpful an friendly. I go out of my way to play there . At Simi hills golf course near where I live they don't seem to care if i play there or not. De Bell personnel seem to care and like there jobs. Much more enjoyable atmosphere.

This is the best kept call secret all of Los Angeles. The prices are incredibly affordable, the Course is wonderfully challenging and unique and the people at the pro shop and restaurant are top notch. It’s a must play for anyone living in LA looking to round out their golf portfolio

Always have loved the course. No delays looked a little weathered possible wash from rain I otherwise love this course.

DeBell's 18 hole course conditions are the best they have been in years. Noticiable changes on the fairways and greens, and some good sand in the bunkers now. My wish list would be some additional yardage markers along the fairways as they are hard to spot in the ground on some holes. The driving range could use a little spruce up and their 9 hole Par 3 Course has major potential to be something great (hopefully some day but unplayable at the moment). Overall I would say that DeBell has really stepped up their game big time and it shows.

M

I would like to share what a great experience I had with Charn at De bell Golf club. Every time I go there. Charn is very welcoming and accommodating to any needs that anyone has. De Bell Golf Club has excellent customer service.

M

Honestly a real local's course- it has a lot of charm and fun challenges, and is the only public course where tee times feel obtainable on a regular basis. Been playing here for 4 years now and it's been awesome to see them put a lot of effort into making the course a better experience for customers- the driving range being completely redone is a perfect example of this. Love this place!

My favorite golf club in Burbank! A challenging course with a lot of variety. Bring extra balls and some cash for the amazing breakfast sandwich they make.

DeBell has a beautiful course and I had a fantastic time playing here even though it was 90 degrees out. The course sits pretty high in elevation so on a few of the holes you will get some gorgeous sights. Will definitely come back again if I have the chance

G
Giancarlo Surla

Friendly Staff. Challenging holes ( dog legs, changes in elevation) that require you to utilize course management skills. Marshalls to keep the pace going (and help me find the occasional errant shot). Course was well maintained. Looking forward to playing again.

We had our wedding reception here! Everyone was extremely helpful especially the staff. They were so attentive and helpful throughout the whole reception with all the guests. We got married in May and the view was beautiful as well. Everyone loved this place. The food was delicious, and the decor came out way better than we expected! They really took good care of us and made sure we ate since we were always with our wedding guests lol. Me and my husband look back and are so happy we chose this place for our reception. Highy recommend this place for anyone's wedding reception. Thank you DeBell!! :)

AP Qazi

I really enjoy this course. The fairways are wide and you really get to use your driver. It can get pretty booked up quickly so book well in advance.(one week allowed). The course itself is gorgeous. Sometimes you will see deer, fox’s and bunnies. Highly recommend. Cart is preferred because it is a big course. Good course for beginners as well. Not too many sand dunes.

J
Julian Furry

Beautiful golf course and friendly people. I felt comfortable and welcome playing as a beginner 😄

M
Mike Campbell

This course has really come around with the new ownership. The updated driving range was a much needed component to the well maintained golf course. If you want to challenge your game this is the place. Keep your eyes open for deer, birds, bobcat, mountain lion, snakes👀 and other wildlife.

DeBell - [ ] I’ll try to keep this review short. We had our wedding here in June 2022. Simply put, it was perfect. All weddings have things that don’t go according to plan but I truly feel that Meredith and her team at DeBell did everything in their power to make sure that wasn’t the case and when things did change, they fixed it swiftly and effortlessly. Meredith was SO timely with her responses, honest and gave great advice when we were unsure about certain decisions. We decided to do a pizza and slider station for our main course and it turned out better than what we imagined. So many of our guests said the food was the best part. The floor plan of the ceremony and reception were exactly as discussed, the bartender made great drinks & made them fast and the venue is beyond gorgeous (photos don’t do it justice). I can not imagine getting married anywhere else and would choose DeBell, Meredith and all of the staff over again if I had too. Thank you again for a perfect day.

World class service provided by DeBell team - thank you for helping us with our wedding! If I could give 10 starts, I would. The Director, Meredith, has an impeccable attention to details and responds fast. The Hilltop Restaurant Manager and his team of servers did an amazing job. A server with a tray of appetizers greeted us right after the ceremony to ensure we are not hungry during photoshoot. Then, when we sat down after the grand entrance, we noticed our sweetheart table was thoughtfully prepared with a bottle of champagne, water, more appetizers, and salad before the entrees were served. It was incredibly hectic for me with bridal duties so food was the last thing in my mind. Thankfully, Meredith and DeBell team got my back. I was super grateful and blown away by their stellar service. The outdoor ceremony was magnificent. So lush and green. Picture perfect! The restaurant is conveniently located in the golf course providing us with a professional chef and many meal options to choose from. Their packages already includes the chiavarri chairs and long table linens. It was budget friendly and less stress not having to worry about rentals and outside catering. They’ve got everything I needed. I highly recommend checking out their wedding packages. There’s no other place like it.

We had our wedding at DeBell February 2022. Upon our first interaction with Meredith Anderson, Director of Sales, we had a fantastic experience. Meredith met with us to discuss all options, work with our budget, inform us of available incentives, and provide her perspective as a former event planner. The wedding day itself was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The venue is clean and easily accessible with ample parking. I would highly recommend DeBell for a wedding venue or any other event. Thank you DeBell staff and Meredith for providing us with a magical wedding day.

2024.07-03/WED_0630: Yes, I'm off for the Independence Day holiday and we scored a 0630 tee time for the back nine which is one of the best courses in the city. Every time we've visited DeBell, it's always an excellent and relaxing time. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The clientele we encounter all around the course during play and when we are paired has always been pleasant. I've been to other courses all over Los Angeles and I'd have to say this one is my favorites. I'm not sure if it's because it was my first 18 hole course I played but I really believe it's the staff and the beautiful, well kept course. They also have a nice outdoor driving range and a nice putting green. The visit before today's visit, when we were paired up with a couple, Yoshi and Hiroko, they were the best. We also had a single player by the name of Alex who was awesome, too. At that time, I was merely a caddy for my husband. It was Hiroko who inspired me to play. If she only knew that I murmur her name, each time I take a stroke. She played really well and I wanted to be just like her. We actually ran into her today while we were leaving, and she was arriving! She remembered my husband, Mario and called out his name while crossing the street and I exclaimed, "Hiroko!" and waved at her! Yoshi must've been by the car because we didn't see him. I hope she noticed my golf bag on our cart because I was only a caddy the last time we visited. I wanted to talk to her but you can see that she was in a hurry to make their tee time, too probably! Ever since that last visit, we've been playing at DeBell, Yes, "we", because I play! Whether it's the entire 18 hole or when we have time for the front or the back nine -whenever we can squeeze it in. I'll be forever grateful for meeting Hiroko because now I'm addicted to golf. The fairways are gorgeous yet challenging. The course is in great shape. The fairways are free from debris and even the rough surrounding each hole looks nice. The greens are stellar. My favorite would have to be the back nine. I love the 12th and 13th holes. We always encounter beautiful wildlife at one of the holes each time we play 18. On Mother's Day, we actually ran into a doe and her mother on the 12th prancing around the green. It was the best. It is very peaceful, tranquil and relaxing playing at DeBell because you won't hear cars or anything else, just the wonderful sounds of the outdoors. We always do our part and fix our divots, too as well as other people's divots, if we see them. You won't find many holes and divots at DeBell, the course is well kept. We had an encounter today which NEVER happens at DeBell - a guy with an 0820 tee time for the front nine decided to start the back nine when we paid to play the back nine at 0630. He looked angry when we rolled up behind him. He confronted us asking if we're supposed to be there. We said, "Yes, our tee time is 0630 for the back nine, what's your tee time? Then he looked baffled and surprised. Then we asked again, what's your tee time?". That's when he said, 0820 on the front nine and I'm gonna play here until my tee time." We were like, okay. Well, why are you getting angry at us when we're scheduled to be here at 0630 and you're freeloading and jumping in front of us which means you can't take your time practicing? Whatever. So you're telling us that you decided that since you aren't paying for your game and we did, that we're bothering you? Get real. Other people would complain to the Starter but why waste our time and our game over this grumpy man? He's having a bad day. I hope they can catch more people who do that. It's just not fair. On top of that, he took his sweet time causing the next two rounds of people behind us to wait. He ruined the timing of everyone's game. Other than that, our experience today was just as awesome as any other visit to DeBell. Always a great and relaxing time, DeBell will always be our number one!

DeBell Golf Course in Burbank is one of my favorite spots to play. It’s tucked into the hills with beautiful views and a layout that makes you think about every shot. The course isn’t long but it’s tricky in the best way, and the greens roll smooth. It feels peaceful out there, and sometimes you even see deer wandering around. After a round, the Hilltop restaurant is a great place to relax. Always a fun time here.

Pace of play WOW... tee off at 11:30am completed course at 3:35pm. Many tee boxes need work but overall golfing experience was pleasant and plan on playing this corse again soon.

I play the course for the first time over Thanksgiving 2012 and we (my son and friends) had a great afternoon of golf. The course is challenging, very narrow and intriguing. You get to use your 3 and 5 woods more often and the hybrids were very active. We saw a lot of very big deer, and bucks with many points Also there were 2 coyotes above us on a ledge walking along. Back to the golf, it will test your skills and having not played it, it tested our logistics. We pared a few, birdied one or two and doubled and tripled some as well. All in all a fine day of golf and if you check on line, you can get a really nice price and that makes the golf experience that much more enjoyable. The course was in very good shape and the cart ran like a little Cooper!

You will hit every club in your bag and you will have to hit it with accuracy if you want to score. I've seen scratch golfers shoot 80 on this course because they're used to bombing their drivers and hitting SW or PW at the other tracks in town. Not here. Greens and fairways are in great shape thanks to reclaimed water usage. The loss of some trees due to the drought has taken some of the character from a few holes but if you play in the late afternoon you'll be treated to a beautiful setting.

Challenging short course. You'll have to be able to hit them straight to score. Lots of elevation changes give you some scenic holes. Be prepared to lose a few balls and also see a few deer. I really like this place. Even the clubhouse is great.

DeBell is a great little golf course...very challenging and is usually in pretty good shape. The greens are tricky and because of the nature of the terrain, the course gives you many kinds of shots. Lots of fun.

This 3 par isn't in the best shape, but it's very cheap to play, seniors 55+ play for 4$ on weekdays. And it's good practice for ur short game

Very good course. Not long, but requires accuracy, and good putting. Great fun for the average player, with great scenery to boot. Solid post play restaurant as well.

Loved the course , challenging , some spots are narrow , place your shots appropriately so your second shot will be into the green ... it worked me over in round 1 , but I’m ready for round 2 (((ding)))

Course is in beautiful condition because of all the recent rain. Check out their twilight rates since summer is almost here.

One of my go-to courses in LA county. Great course that forces you to play smart. Lots of elevation changes. For the price, you can't beat it. Some of the fairways right now are a little choppy. Hopefully that gets taken care of soon.

Fun course with challenging holes. Cart paths could use some attention though.

Great venue to have for a celebration. We had my daughter's wedding there and the staff was polite and helpful. Probably, could have been 5 star but the men's changing room also doubles as a storage and can be nice but I realistically expected better for the way the rest of the place looked

Very nice public course. Greens are fast, fairway decent. Great view. Highly recommend. Very walkable, but be prepared as the back 9 starts with a large hill.

Lots of wildlife with a secluded feel , not surrounded with homes. Most par 3's are reachable off the tee, not wide open fairways for beginners and most of all some greens break up hill ...a tip let your group putt first for the read of the greens. Overall a great course .

The course is actually okay, maybe it's the summertime that the grass is a little bit worn out. Although it could be a little bit better. The fairways are actually quite small, it's pretty much up in the hills. It is a short course, probably suitable for me and people who can drive a very long range. Just watch out for the canyons, balls can easily be lost.

Narrow fairway.. short courses. Many dog-leg courses. Won’t be able to tee off with driver much. Not much parking available. Pace is very slow..

Challenging courseon the front and opens up at the back. Would be awesome if the bunkers actually had sand in them instead of dirt.

It's not a great course by any stretch, but you get what you pay for with Golf. The fairway conditions are not great, it can be slow, and the service is spotty. It also has a unique layout that will keep your driver in your bag for much of the game. Many holes are very short with sharp dog legs that require lay-ups. So if these things bother you, stay away. On the other hand, if you are in Glendale/Burbank, and looking for a decent game without spending $100 up at Angeles National, it's a good option. I think it a fun, interesting track and you get what you pay for.

pace is good(maybe because it's weekday?) green is good(but too small almost^^;) there are too many divot on the tee box. and many dust at the cart road(many part not being covered wz concret) p.s the burger of snack bar "hill top" was great!!

R
Robert Donaldson

I’ve noticed lately that no Marshall’s are to be seen on the course to correct bad behavior by new golfers and those that disrespect golf etiquette. Allowing bad behavior to occur ruins it for all. Today I noticed people driving their carts in sand traps, one group brought their own ice chest filled with alcohol and used profanity when asked to be respectful of others ahead of them. No “Fore” is called when errant balls are hit. Much bad behavior could be corrected if Marshall’s were around and imposed penalties. We shouldn’t have to confront others when they misbehave on the course, but we are forced to do it.

r
ryry J

on the plus side, condition is good, pace of play was good, interesting greens in good shape on the other hand, most holes can only be played with one very specific selection of shots and you'll be hitting 7 iron off the tee on many par 4s

A

DeBell Golf Club is okay. It is pretty well maintained as far as the fairways go. The greens were being aerated when I went so I can't say anything about them at this time. The sand traps were nothing but dirt with no sand in them. I don't know if they were fixing them or if they're always like that. The worst thing about the course is the layout. There are way too many dog leg holes and it's hilly to where you can't see where your ball ends up. Hole 12 has the green behind a hill side where you can only see a 1/5th of the green and there's a bell you have to ring to let the other players know it's clear. I have never seen that before. There are a few other holes where you cannot see where the group in front of you is to know if it is safe to tee off. Besides that it's okay. The range was a little small, but it was okay. The employees were all excellent. There is also very little parking.

This course is reasonably priced on a normal day but being under construction - a little pricey. Some of the tee boxes are moved forward and lots dirt paths.

course management is poor. also they charge you more than the rate you reserved for online. the booking rate is not on the tee time confirmation email, so make sure you screenshot the booking page if you dont want to pay more than you should

B
Blake Quiqley

Staff was kind - took 2 hours to play 6 holes…. Then left. Tee times are stacked every 10 minutes. The course resembles a frisbee golf course more so than a real golf course. Large rocks in bunkers and no sand, greens are like plinko. Probably an OK one to bring kids or people just learning the game but plan for a 5 hour round.

Walked up to the driving range around 9:30 AM on 6.26, usually pretty easy setup. Vending machine for the balls, don’t need to talk to anyone. Usually open around 8 AM. The doors leading to the ball machine were locked, and there were 3 employees just chilling out front kicking back. “Oh we don’t open until 10 AM today”. Sucks when you roll out there and only have an hour lunch break. No explanation to why myself and multiple others couldn’t hit balls at 9:30 instead of 10, when they usually at open around 8. Didn’t have time to wait obviously, back to work and I didn’t even get to hit some balls or eat some lunch.

* Golf Driving range BAD SERVICE* You may want to GUESS if they are still open when you want to go to the driving range. I've been here three times around 6 o’clock , and every time I come, it's closed. They’re closing up at a very random time but the operation hours at the office showed us it is closed at 10pm. LAZY STUFFS!

Two weeks ago I was driving past the golf course on E Harvard Rd to have dinner at Castaway when my car got struck with a golf ball and dinged my door. I was lucky it didn't go through my window and cause an injury. I reached out to Miguel Olvera, the GM at the golf course (Touchstone Golf) about getting my door fixed. His reply was: "the golf course is not responsible to any damage to vehicles. That is the between the golfer and driver". I told him this was not fair to me, and asked him to put me in touch with the golfer, but I haven't heard back. Apparently cars get hit often and this is a real problem. Since they are not being honorable and taking responsibility, I'll have to go through legal methods. Watch out for your life when driving by the golf course. According to his dismissive response, Miguel certainly doesn't care if you get hit, and potentially get seriously injured. I'll submit another update here after some time.

Decided to go golfing at DeBell golf course today. It was not raining. I was a single and there were very few golfers today because of the overcast. I finished the first hole and it started to rain. Pretty amazing since we are in the worse drought in California history. I waited it out but the rain never let up. After playing one hole and waiting 25 minutes I decided to go back to the club house and ask for a RAIN CHECK. You would think the perfect time to ask for one in sunny southern California. The boy behind the desk was actually speaking on the phone to the director of operations at the time of my request for a raincheck. They denied me. They said they couldn't give a refund to everyone who asked for it. Yes that is what he said. What? First of all I asked for a rain check not a refund. And yes Mr. Big shot director of operations you actually can give rain checks to EVERYONE WHO ASKS FOR one without it effecting your bottom line BECAUSE IT NEVER EVER RAINS in sunny southern California. KIND OF THE REASON YOUR GOLF COURSE LOOKS LIKE CRAP BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH RAIN TO KEEP THE GRASS GREEN. California is a wonderful state minus all the morons.

Debell use to have amazing quality food but not anymore. They are now cutting corners and preparing all their food early in the morning then reheating it. Making fresh bacon is too hard for an ask for them so they make it at 5am then reheat it even if it’s burnt, I ordered over easy eggs as well and they were also microwaved. I’ve been having brunch at the golf course for over 3 years and I’ve never seen them be this lazy before. I wouldn’t recommend for food at all especially when this place is never busy so there is no reason to cook all the eggs and bacon in the morning

Good course at the club house tho I ordered food and paid. They forgot it and gave the people ahead their food first. Had to ask for a refund cause I had to play the back 9and the staff was very rude and didn’t offer anything for waiting for nothing. Ended up buying a hotdog.

I went to the range on 1/5/2025 and the machine was out of balls but still charged you me the entire bucket- twice. There should be something as simple as a notice stating it’s out of balls and to not swipe your CC. Upon realizing it was out of balls I spoke with Victor at the front desk who confirmed that he would make sure I don’t get double charged. Surely enough- I was double charged and have left 6 voicemails trying to get this corrected. Something so small and easy should be handled promptly- but this is a direct representation of the horrible communication and management at this course.

The canyon club price used to be this course’s big advantage. Having arrived to find my membership no longer bought me a free round on the weekends (they did not inform anyone before they arrived) and being forced to pay I realized that all of the wretched tee boxes (6 were roped off and I’m only on hole 16), incompetently laid sod, and trash on the course from tournaments they’d hosted and then forgotten about weren’t worth it. At least the food window that they often don’t staff in favor of their event hosting business (they don’t tell you this will happen when you book) was open. Fun while it lasted.
