The Stage Cafe offers a beautiful, private garden-like atmosphere with live music, perfect for special events and outdoor dining. While the food is generally well-received, especially dishes like salmon and branzino, service can be inconsistent and slow. Some found the prices high.

Had dinner here last night, and it was such a great experience. The food and ambiance were very nice. Loved the live music, eclectic jazz and even Parisian style music. Food was yummy, they were also very accommodating to my dietary needs which I really appreciated. Will be coming back.
Its not often you get all the things right to add up to an amazing dining experience. The food is delicious. Fresh. Flavorful. The ambiance is unexpected. I love when we find somewhere that offers a different atmosphere than every other restaraunt. Even in late winter when the flora wasn't at its most glorious, the walls and canopy of plants is beautifully whimsical. We had fun taking part in cooking our own meat and everything we ordered was delicious. We came twice during our stay in Burbank and out of 8 meals between us, all we could suggest is to add more sauce to the tacos. They were a tad dry. Everything else was wonderful and we can't wait to come back!
I have been here on multiple occasions, and was pleased every time. The servers are attentive, the food is delicious, and the setting is relaxing. The live music that plays in the nighttime complements the vibe of the restaurant as well. I highly recommend The Stage.
We had a large party visit here after an all-day meeting, and the staff was wonderfully accommodating! They had the food ready promptly and it was all delicious. The atmosphere of the whole place is amazing, and the live music was a wonderful touch (we were seated pretty close to the stage, and the sound was at a level where we could enjoy it but didn't feel like we had to scream at each other to talk, which was great). The menu has a huge variety, and LOTS of delicious seafood choices as well as a strong amount of vegetarian options; it's rare to find a restaurant that can do both of those things well, in my experience. The next time I'm visiting Burbank, I would absolutely consider visiting The Stage again.
Heard about this place from a coworker and I had to try it out. First I want to say the environment is beautiful. The way they design it looks like a garden and I loved it. They had live music. They were playing jazz which was very soothing. Me and my partner got the shrimp appetizer, stake on stone (Angus Fillet Mignon) and Angus Rib Eye. The steaks were well presented and it was very delicious and soft. Make sure you try the steak with the seasoning called black salt. I am very happy with the experience and will definitely go back again.
The food at The Stage is absolutely incredible with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The ingredients used are of top quality and the portion sizes are generous, making it a great value. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with live music that adds a fun, enjoyable vibe without being too loud. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner. The desserts are also worth saving room for—beautifully made and delicious. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the service is consistently excellent. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Great place to eat or just sit and relax. Very comfortable seats and great service. Will definitely be back. It was very quiet when I visited on a Thursday lunchtime but it made no difference to me.
I had no business being there but I desperately needed a plastic fork, and a kind gentleman who looked just like Mark Ruffalo gave me one!
Stage in Burbank offers a truly exceptional dining experience, making it a standout choice for those seeking both delicious food and a wonderfully private atmosphere. From the moment you step in, there's a sense of intimate charm that sets it apart. The private outdoor patio seating is a real highlight. It's an inviting space that feels like a hidden oasis, perfect for a quiet dinner or a relaxed gathering with friends. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance, feeling both sophisticated and incredibly comfortable, allowing for genuinely private conversations without feeling cramped or exposed. And then there's the food: the Armenian BBQ is simply outstanding. Each dish is prepared with care, showcasing authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Whether you're a connoisseur of Armenian cuisine or new to it, you're in for a treat. The meats are tender and flavorful, grilled to perfection, and the accompanying sides complement them beautifully. It’s clear that a lot of passion goes into every plate. Overall, Stage isn't just a restaurant; it's an escape. It’s the perfect spot when you're looking for a dining experience that feels both personal and indulgent, combining fantastic food with an unmatched private setting.
My wife had our babyshower here, and my sister recently had her engagement party. We had a wonderful time. The space was easily transformed, and the food was very, very good! The staff made everything easy, and they were very accommodating. I absolutely recommend this place for any events. Just make sure you bring your own alcohol if you want something special.
This restaurant has a wonderful gazeboed dining area covered with flowering bougainvilla (it also has indoor seating). The food is Mediterranean themed, and really delicious, ranging from meat skewers to salads to delicious thin crust pizzas everything in between. The highlight of our night was the dancer and the live music. We had a fantastic time!
If you're in the area, treat yourself. We had the salmon and the branzino dish and they were both superb. The ambiance for the outside sitting area is so nice.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere at The STAGE California fusion. You're like sitting in a garden and it was awesome. There was tons of privacy and it was a really cool experience. I ordered a salad and it was all right. I think if I go back I'll be trying something different. My friend ordered a noodle dish and they loved it. If you have never been to The STAGE California Fusion I'd suggest checking it out.
Amazing experience. Especially with the live flamenco style band. The food was great. This restaurant has changed since we were here last. I had the Fruiti de Mare linguini. It was very good. My son had the file on the hot stone. It was also delicious. Overall a nice environment, good food and good service.
Food was favorable and affordable. The level of service was also outstanding. I definitely suggest this establishment, and if I am ever in the region again, I would return! I additionally loved the look and state of mind.

Amazing gem that we found in the heart of downtown Burbank. Dogs are welcome. They even brought him his own water bowl! Food was excellent! Atmosphere was perfect. Outside dining, feels comfortable and the scenery and live music really makes it special. I got the steak with mushrooms which was amazing. The mushroom pizza was so also very, very good.

The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff is friendly. I thought the salads had good combination of greens, vegetables, and salad dressing which was tangy but not sour. Pizza crust was thin and well prepared but the toppings could use more flavor. We had a lovely late night dinner.
Loved the food, everything was delicious and very flavorful. Service is the worst I've experienced in a long time, it was impersonal and rushed. The waiter wouldn't come to our table for a very long time. Although the food was amazing, I wouldn't come back or recommend the restaurant to others.
We were looking for a place in Burbank since my daughter lives in Burbank. Super nice place with a cool atmosphere. The caprese salad was incredible. We did try the green salad on the starter menu and it had a strong parsley flavor so it was the only thing we did not care for. We had the steak au poivre and the 14 oz filet that you cook on a hot rock. Both were good. We tried the cheese cake, the lemon tartlette and the apple strudel and they were all good. The service was great and friendly.
Our Foodie Group had lunch at the Stage! What a beautiful setting for a restaurant! Abundant flowering trees and bushes, and art work, all on the patio seating area. They even have a special, one secluded patio area for smokers. The food was excellent! I had a seafood salad. Others had the fish tacos and said they were really good!
Had a birthday dinner with family + 20 people, outdoor seating area. We got the package #2 ($90 per person). Overall everything was delicious and the service was good as well.

Came here because of their live music performances, and their ambience is good for date dinners or chill ones. The food was okay, their steak and thai eggplant salad was good. The service is very bad however, the younger lady who was our server was very uncaring. The older gentleman server eventually took over and gave us better service. Can't recommend the place until they fix their services.
The atmosphere of this location was magical, but the food was disappointing. I went here with a group of 5 other people, and most of us felt like the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good and felt a bit overpriced for what we got. Walking in for the first time felt magical, with all of the plants and beautiful pieces all around. The service was very slow, and we were constantly waiting for our waiter to stop by, and needed to flag them down to ask for things constantly (10+ minutes would go by with them nowhere in sight). All of the food seems under seasoned / bland, and some of the vegetables in our meals weren’t ripe yet. There was also no salt or pepper on any of the tables. The steak on a stone comes out on a very hot stone and you have to cook it yourself. It was an experience, but the low lighting made it difficult to see, and it wasn’t seasoned. The seafood salad came out with the muscles still in the shells and the tails on the shrimp. The chicken on the pizza was thin and dry. The caprese salad’s tomato’s were until and hard, and there was very little balsamic. The jambalaya was underwhelming, and lacked seasoning. The mushroom ravioli seemed okay. The desserts were probably the best part of the meal, in presentation and flavor, and felt fairly priced. Overall it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t suggest this location to anyone. There were only 3 vegetarian options. The parking lot was located off the side of the restaurant, and the isles were open and wide to get to the tables. There were heaters, in case it’s a chilly night.
I went to this place with colleagues. The atmosphere is very cool and welcoming. I enjoyed the music, especially the violinist. The service was ok, and surprisingly slow considering there was only one other table of people outside. The food was good. I was disappointed that the scallop and scrimp skewers were a tiny scallop with the shrimp around it.
It was ok for me. No kids menu and over priced. The waiter was ok. We ordered a salad with walnuts and they brought without it and told us it did not come with it and clearly in the menu. We did not want to argue so we let it go. Outdoor seating was nice. Overall food was ok but not for the price.

The atmosphere is perfect for a date night if you’re not in a hurry, but unfortunately, the service doesn’t match the setting. On multiple visits, I’ve noticed a recurring issue where meals for the table arrive approx. 10 minutes apart, creating an awkward dining experience. While some may not mind the staggered timing, I expect dishes to be served within a reasonable window so everyone can enjoy their meal together. I’ve dined at Stage three times, and although the ambiance is consistently enjoyable, the service concerns have been the same each time. For that reason, I’m unlikely to return.
The food was amazing and we all really enjoyed the overall atmosphere! Our service unfortunately was unsatisfactory and honestly just awful to some degree. I understand that problems arise and larger parties can be more difficult to serve and handle, but the major issue we had was the rudeness and attitude of the lead server of our party. Our waitress was wonderful, but the waiter was not pleasant at all and just straight up rude. He was quick and short in communication, and did not make us feel very welcome or taken care of. Multiple dishes and drinks arrived very late or were just completely forgotten about. It wasn't clear who we were supposed to make orders with, or when, and many mistakes were made. I felt bad for our hosts who were getting married the following day, as it was their rehearsal dinner. I hope this was an isolated incident, as the restaurant seems to have good reviews and the food was really great, but I personally won't take the chance in ever choosing this restaurant to host a special occasion. I'd give the review a 2.5 if I could

I think the food or pizza would've been good except that it was served Cold!! It was a Friday night and there's hardly anybody in the place and my server only stopped by to get my order and then only came back to deliver a cold pizza and I had to actually get up to go pay for it as he had never come back. There are so many options in downtown Burbank. I would stay away from this place.
Food was good but the service was terrible the waitress was no where to be found.
Gone here many times over the years and the service has gone too far downhill. The food is delicious, when you finally get it. The kicker for me this time was when the bottle of red wine was served warm, almost hot. Which means they are stored somewhere warm. Of course this made the wine undrinkable until I got an ice bucket to cool it down. This was something I have never experienced before. Once the food was served, we never saw our server again. When it came time to leave, I eventually had to hunt someone down just to pay. And I wasn't the only one doing that.
We had the most awkward experience here and ended up leaving to go to another restaurant. We were a party of 8 that arrived at opening (11 am), on a Sunday. It took a long time for anyone to acknowledge us after being seated, which was strange because we were the only ones there. We were then told that the ovens weren’t hot so things would take a while. That’s fine, but why not get the restaurant prepped before you open? We then put in an order of drinks. Some coffee, a mimosa and a mojito. It took probably ten more minutes for those to come. I was watching the bartender not make our drinks, but continue to do whatever she was doing and not pay attention to the order in front of her. Coffees came out. No other drinks. We had to ask if they were being made. By that point we were fed up with the lack of customer service and decided to go elsewhere. It was almost as if we were an inconvenience to them. I gave two stars because at least the mojito has good.
Food was decent, service was okay, and there are so many flies in the outdoor seating area (which is the only seating area) that we spent half our dinner just swatting them away from our food.
The food was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress rushed us through choosing our meal, stood over us while we decided, offered no information about the menu, and was no where to be found after the food was dropped at the table. I assumed that the service would be better based on the price and elegant environment. As for the food, I did enjoy the filet dish with avocado salad. I would suggest, especially if you are traveling from out of town, choose a restaurant that combines delicious food with welcoming service. I’d love suggestions!
Had it not been for a couple factors this place would have absolutely gotten five stars. The food was absolutely phenomenal, the service was OK, the server kind of had a language barrier with us however we were still able to effectively communicate. The one factor that really affected my decision on my rating level and returning to this restaurant is the fact that they allowed children to run around like it was Chuck E. Cheese. When we approached management about the situation, they said that they would handle it. The situation was not handled at all, another person in my party. I had to go request the manager again to speak to him about getting the children under control who also discredited the feedback that the other person at my table was giving. This is not a place for children to be running around, if I want children running around when I was eating I would go to IHOP. The atmosphere here is romantic and more upscale, this is not a place you take your children at 10 o’clock at night and let them run around like crazy people.
Great food, too bad that during the day they fill the air with burning coffee grinds, for the flies which seem to invade the outdoor seating area. It smells horrendous and makes your clothes smell. Ruins the entire experience.

This was one of the worst service experiences I've had unfortunately the food was very bad and it was cold and poorly cooked l would not recommend this place
Food was lackluster and the service was abysmal. Each dish that came out made no sense and the waitress is allergic to smiling
The service left a lot to be desired. The waitress did not offer any guidance or information about the menu and seemed rushed while taking our order. We mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday and ordered dessert, but when it arrived 15–20 minutes later, there was no candle or birthday acknowledgment. This was disappointing, especially since the restaurant was not busy. Given the setting, I would have expected more attentive and thoughtful service. In the future, I would choose a restaurant that pairs good food with genuinely welcoming service.
