We were visiting Watkins Glen Gorge from out of state and decided to have pizza. So happy we chose this restaurant!!! The meat lovers pizza was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was a young guy named Sean -top notch! Highly recommend. They have a large menu of items and are evidently known for their garlic rolls.
Great service, our waiter was fantastic. Food came out quickly for Saturday night. Ribeye was seasoned perfectly. Fettuccine Alfredo was divine. Calamari was fresh. Sauce was so good I could have drank it. Would definitely recommend. Restaurant was clean looks recently remodeled. A must try if visiting Watkins Glen. Prices were very affordable and food was so worth it. Didn't get to try famous garlic knots. Next time.
I was with a group that came from a different restaurant who's online menu did not match what their current menu is serving. We were a larger group and Jerlandos was busy at the time so we had to wait. I think everyone in the group was happy with the food and the service.
We did take out, and found out that the take out pick up is in the back of the building. Waitress was very nice, and place looked like it had a great atmosphere. Would love to come back and dine in sometime! Took a little long for someone to help me at the pick up counter so thats why I gave a 4 star instead of 5. Multiple employees standing around talking and cleaning up but no one would ask if I needed help. Otherwise great experience
Great food, small town vibe, good variety. My steak was ordered medium rare and it was burnt on the edges and more medium well. Could use improvement there but otherwise an enjoyable experience.
When I visit Watkins Glen, I always make sure to come to Jerlando’s. Great food, great prices, and the restaurant/pizzeria have a great ambiance. If you’re in the area make sure to stop in 🇮🇹🍝🍕
I cannot stop raving about this place. We ordered garlic knots Grand Prix salad, fettuccine alfredo. We keep going back for the garlic knots it's got this amazing butter garlic sauce & hot marinara comes with it. We usually order penne pasta with vodka sauce and a side of vegetables which is delicious but we had fettuccine alfredo this time which was okay okay honestly, not that great. I've had the best close to my house at this place called Giuseppe's which was marvelous. My husband absolutely loves Jerlando's and I do too the complimentary bread with cheese and salads are really tasty.
My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Jerlando's while we were on vacation, and honestly, it was such a great find! The place has this really cozy Italian vibe that just draws you in. Everyone working there was super friendly, especially our server Sean - he was genuinely fun to chat with and made the whole experience that much better. We started with the Brussels sprouts and garlic knots to share, and wow, both were absolutely delicious. I got a glass of wine from one of the local Watkins Glen vineyards, which was a nice touch - always love when restaurants support local businesses. Our main dishes were really good too - exactly what we were craving. We were already pretty full but couldn't help ourselves when it came to dessert, so we split the chocolate lava cake. Total indulgence, but so worth it! If you're in the area, definitely check out Jerlando's. It's just a really solid spot for a fun dinner out.
Love this pizza place.I usually get take out.Mr Tague.has such great crew.Always go out of their way for each and every customers .Pizza good and Calizones are great.Highly recommend this place
A group of 8 of us went here after racing all day at Watkins Glen International. It's only 7-8 minutes away. Right out front was a Dale Earnhardt sidewalk plaque (pic), among other famous racers. We wanted to make reservations, but they wouldn't accept one below 9 people, so we reserved for 9, but kept making a joke that Paco was working late and couldn't make it. The beer choices were a bit thin, but they did have some good craft beers on tap. I got the Caesar chicken wrap and Brussel sprouts. They were both very yummy. My friend had the seafood stew, and he kept raving about it. Our server was also very nice and accommodating. Recommended!
Delicious food, reasonable pricing. I would only suggest to not put chocolate syrup on your cannolis, as it took away from the cannoli in my opinion (I am italian and have had my fair share 😉). Otherwise it was great! Service was spot on, clean, warm and inviting. Definitely will come back when I'm in the area. Thank you!
We had takeout our first night in town and the pizza was delicious. We decided to go back to dine in and was not disappointed at all. We had the veal parm and bolognese and both were delicious. Shawn was our server and he was very attentive and helpful. We would definitely dine there again!
Excellent place to have dinner with friends. They were super accommodating. My team and I were in town for work and we happened to come across this place while walking. They were about to close 30 mins prior to our arrival and the staff was awesome to us. They did not rush us and we had such a great time. I totally recommend this place to any new visitors. Also I got the Pesto Boneless wings and they we're amazing. The mozzarella stiff we're super good as well. They also bring you cheese bread which totally hit the spot... Thanks for the great memories!!!
Out-of-towner food junkie here. I like to dig deep into the local favorites during my travels. I was on the hunt for the best pizza in the Watkins Glen area, and though there were a lot of promising options, I struck gold picking this one. I went straight for the classics— pepperoni and cheese. I also threw in their hyped up garlic knots (the hype was warranted). The crust was flawless, the cheese was portioned perfectly, the sauce was hearty and unique, but what surprised my taste buds was the pepperoni. There was something about it that really brought the pizza together. Without trying the other pizza joints, it’s not fair to say it’s the best pizza in the area. What I can say is, it’s going to be hard to beat. Cheers to the chefs and staff!
Best NY pizza I’ve bet had hands down! We did half with friend chicken ranch base (not what I would normally choose but the flavor was phenomenal) and other half meat lovers… there’s some sort of amazing crack seasoning on the crust too! 😂 nice they let you do half and half for specialty pizzas. Service was a little slow and it’s more than I would like to pay for Pizza but it was worth it for this pizza I hope o get back for it!
Cheese pizza was amazing. The veggie sub was delicious. Service was top-notch. I ordered cheese fries without asking if there was bacon. But server respected my dietary restrictions and replaced it free of charge.
We were in Watkins Glen for vacation and decided to try out a lot of the local food. If it want pizza and garlic knots, this place does not disappoint. For as busy as they were, it was still fast. I would have waited for as long as needed for the chicken bacon ranch pizza and garlic knots. My boyfriend got half the pizza with pepperoni and he loved his pizza just as much. I look forward to trying out more of the menu, when we are back in the area.
This place is all that is "Italian" if you are thinking of going just get in the car and get there. We had a great time, itwas a busy Thursday and the staff was on top of everything great service. The food is top notch, make sure and try the garlic knots. We had the knots the seafood pascatore and lasagna and everyone was stuffed full, no chance of foing a dessert. I left full and waddling out the door. Happy with the service great drink refills and the price was fair for what we got compared to other restaurants.
Wow, this is a fantastic Italian restaurant in downtown Watkins Glen. We got there early, so we were seated right away. After 5pm, expect a wait on the weekends. The lasagna was perfect.
Undeniably one of the best restaurants in the Steuben/Schuyler/Chemung county area. The food is always great (I’ve gone here dozens of times and never had a disappointing meal), the service is always top notch, and the atmosphere and ambience could not be better. Jerlandos is in my top 3 for restaurants in the Southern Tier.
Great food, fast, very friendly service, local and other brands wine choices. Had a chicken dish and my hubby had pasta putanesca. Dinners were served with a salad and some garlic bread, we also enjoyed a bottle of a local dry Riesling - what a wonderful dinner to end our FLX gateway!
You have to try the chicken wing pizza!!! Best buffalo chicken pizza ever! The wings were deboned and fried, in big chunks; the buffalo sauce and cheese was the perfect amount. You could tell this place was a local favorite. Like the vibe and appreciate the options available. Will definitely bring family and friends over to have the chicken wing pizza and try other items.
We had dinner here, unplanned. Arrived to a 45 minute wait. Fortunately, two seats opened up at the bar and we waited no more than 15 minutes! The bartenders were very efficient in light of how busy they were. My wife and I started with a Caprese Salad. This was presented nicely and super fresh. For entrees, my wife had a gluten-free pizza with pepperoni and spinach. She has had a fair number of GF pizzas and said that hands down, this was the best crust she's ever had. I went in, planning on ordering my normal chicken parmesan. It was suggested I ordered the Grilled Chicken Cantonese. It clearly says on the menu that it's a favorite and the bartender says he gets a grilled chicken Cantonese topping on his pizza. Why not? But this was better than I had thought it would be. Next time we are at Watkins Glen, this will definitely be one of our places to dine.
Amazing fresh-baked pizzas plus garlic knots swimming in garlic butter! My group of six out-of-town visitors arrived on a busy Saturday night. Without a reservation, the wait would've been an hour. So we decided to come back 3 days later - Glad we did! Service was courteous & attentive. And we loved their amazing garlic knots so much, we ordered a 2nd serving. Besides the Supreme Pizza and a veggie pizza, we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh side salad and the fried calamari rings. Five stars!
Stopped at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday evening. Promptly seated and served. Chianti was nothing special, but was very reasonably priced Salads and bread were very good, as were manicotti and white clam sauce over linguine (could have had a few more clams). My partner especially likes their red sauce Portions were generous but we still found room for excellent cannoli. Overall, a casual Italian restaurant with very good food and service. We have been here a few times and never been disappointed Definitely recommended
Sean (sorry if incorrect spelling) was the server for our party of 11 today. I wanted to make sure management know what a fantastic job he did. He was so patient, attentive, and thoughtful. His service, coupled with the tasty food and cozy atmosphere, made for a marvelous dining experience. I would highly recommend this place - be sure to ask for Sean!
Idk why but the atmosphere felt super fancy compared to how I think it should have. Our server Allyson was amazing! Little did she know we also had an Allyson at the table. I ordered ravioli's and meatballs, it was really good. We also ordered some soft drinks which she kept full. She didn't dip into the kitchen and avoid eye contact like some servers do and I really appreciated that. I'd suggest this to anyone looking for pasta dishes as thats all we ended up ordering.
One of the staples found in Watkins Glen. It is easily one of the best spots I’ve ever been to. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Looked through some of the bad reviews simply appalled. Lemme just say, not for nothing, if you go out to eat and expect to get your Nonna’s spaghetti receipt to the T, you’re an idiot. They do great work with massive portions! Side note: Shout out to the tavern steak , one of my favorite items on the menu !
Went with my wife early on a Wednesday. Even though it was early (5:30), it was quite busy. Great old school Italian. Zack was our waiter, he did a great job. Food was delicious, portions were quite large. I always try lasagna the first time I go to a new Italian place. It was very good here. The marina sauce was awesome. We had the toasted ravioli appetizer, which was delicious. The salads which came with the meals were good, except for the canned black olives which could have been left out. Overall highly recommend.
We came to this area from Pennsylvania for our Anniversary and stopped here for dinner tonight. The food was so good! I ordered the Chicken Cantonese and my husband ordered the seafood trio. Our waiter Zack was wonderful! He was very friendly & personable and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. We will definitely be back!
A cute Italian place on Main Street. Many good things to eat and to choose from. At our server's (Sean) suggestion, we had shrimp alla veniazana and we were not disappointed. The chef took great pride to prepare and make everything fresh. Definitely a place to come back to again.
I have eaten at Jerlando’s many times and I have always had a great experience. The food is consistently good, portions are generous, and everything tastes well prepared and made The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, even when the restaurant is busy. Jerlando’s is a popular local restaurant, and busy nights are a sign of how much people (including me and my family) enjoy it!
Absolutely fantastic! From the service to the food to the atmosphere! Excellent menu, the drinks are on par. The waitress and her understudy Ava were excellent! Cannot wait to go back for more!
The pictures do not not do this place justice! Please go the food is amazing and the service is great even on busy days like Valentine’s Day! We waited 20min but it flew by, they work super fast but don’t rush you while eating! I was on vacation with my husband and want to go back specifically to eat here again! 10/10 recommend
I haven't been here in 9 years and the food is still delicious. My daughter and I had mozzarella sticks and garlic knots for our appetizer the garlic knots are so good. My daughter got a small pizza with bacon on it. I got a Ribeye Steak and baked titi with meatballs. Everything was so good and our server was attentive and very nice.
We went to Jerlando's for dinner and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. After ordering, our server brought out garlic bread with cheese. It was crisp on the outside, soft and tender in the middle, and tasted delicious and fresh. I had chicken parmigiana with penne pasta and Alfredo sauce. My wife had tortellini with ham, peas in a white wine sauce. Our friends had a pizza and eggplant parmigiana. Everyone raved about their meal! Beyond the wonderful food, friendly and attentive service, their prices are very reasonable, both for food and drinks. I highly recommend Jerlandos's if you are in the Watkins Glen area and are looking for great Italian food.
This restaurant is most certainly worth the hype in and around Watkins Glenn and the Finger Lakes area. They are known for their garlic knots and hence we ordered those and weren’t disappointed at all. Every bite was worth the hype. Their menu is vast with a lot to choose from. We decided to go with the chicken wing pizza and were blown away with it. It was better than even the much-hyped knots. All in all a great place to grab a wonderful meal. Cherry on the cake is the service which is super friendly, attentive, and very well paced.
Very tasty pizza ! We had the Carolina Tangy chicken slice which was excellent! It was sweet and savory. It tasted like it was honey coated chicken that gave it its sweetness but it must’ve been the BBQ sauce. It had red onions on it too. I thought they said it had ranch on it but it doesn’t list it on the menu. We also tried the bruschetta pizza which was very tasty as well. It left us wanting more but we were stuffed.
absolutely worth the wait until 11 a.m.! From the fresh bruschetta and flavorful FLX salad to the rich mushroom ravioli and perfectly crisp garlic cheese bread, every bite impressed. Portions are generous, flavors are spot-on, and the service was pristine—attentive, professional, and anticipating every need. A true gem for anyone craving quality and care in every detail
Jerlando’s is a staple in Watkins Glen. My wife and I have been coming to the area for 8 years and we have never eaten here. That changed (finally!) due to a recommendation from our AirBnB owner. We waited about a half hour for a table at 7:30 on a Thursday night. We walked around the store next to it and our buzzer reached us there which was really nice. We ordered immediately and all of our food came out within 30 mins. The cheesy garlic bread was fantastic and probably the best we have ever had. So flavorful without being heavy. My wife ordered the Penne with Vodka and added chicken. I had the Grilled Chicken Cantonese with a baked potato. Hers was good but mine was better. The chicken was expertly cooked and the sauce was soooo good without being heavy or messy. I could have licked the plate if it were socially acceptable but we saved bread for that very reason. We will be Jerlando regulars from now on!
Found this old style Italian restaurant after a great hike in Watkins Glen Gorge. Service was great and pleasant. Lots of choices. Veal Marsala was tender and sweet. Chicken Livornese also was liked. Bruschetta was crusty with lots of tomatoes and olive oil. The meals came with garlic bread and salads and fries. Large portions. Wine bottles were reasonably priced and good choices. Tiramisu was one of the best I had.
My wife and I have been coming here for the past 7-8 year and it’s become out go-to Italian spot whenever we visit Watkins Glen. Back when we first came with friends, then as a couple dating, later engaged and now married, this place has always been a part of our trips. The food never disappoints. Even with a wait that can stretch close to an hour, it’s always been worth it. The service has been consistently excellent in our experience- friendly, attentive and welcoming. Every meal feels thoughtfully presented and tastes just as good as it looks. My wife is all about their pizzas and garlic knots while I lean toward the pasta dishes and arancini. No matter what we order, it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in their craft. If you’re visiting Watkins Glen, stop in. Whether it’s pizza, pasta or just the warm atmosphere, you won’t regret it. Highly recommend!
Jerlando’s Ristorante was a great find. For a restaurant of its size, the service was impressively fast. We started with garlic knots and mozzarella sticks—the garlic knots were excellent, and the marinara sauce was rich and flavorful. I had the ziti with vodka sauce, which was delicious overall, though I felt it could’ve used just a touch more salt. The real standout for me was the garlic bread—it was so good I ended up ordering another one. Perfectly cooked with great texture, just flawless. The side salad that came with my dish was also a nice surprise, especially with the raspberry vinaigrette. It wasn’t overly acidic, and the fruity note balanced things really well. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place.
Very pleasant experience here at Jerlando’s Ristorante. Wait staff was extremely friendly, sat and served us right away. Our server was very helpful and very consistent with refills, and additional services. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken parmigiana was perfectly cooked and the breading wasn’t too overwhelming. The sauce was fresh and delicious and the pasta was cooked very well. The atmosphere was very warm, contemporary and welcoming. I felt very comfortable and I felt very at ease to dine in. They have a plethora of options for dining and even drinks. Definitely recommend this establishment for the locals, and tourists!
We were recommended by someone staying in a neighboring camp at Cayuga state park and I am glad we tried this place. Serves very much Italian style delicious pizza, pastas, bread and lot of other items. The ambience is warm, pleasant with welcoming staff. You may find 15-20 min wait time which I feel worth the wait. Must check place if you are at Watkins glen.
What an amazing Italian restaurant in downtown Watkins Glen, NY. The based cheese garlic bread and bruschetta were so flavorful and different from what you would get at any other place!! The Linguini the best we have ever had! 👌💖 A must visit for anyone visiting the state park or crossing the town!! They had multiple gluten free and vegetarian options too!

This place never disappoints. The food is always great and one of the better Italian places I’ve ever eaten. Love the area and the atmosphere
We went into the counter side and ate in. Everything was good but nothing blew us away. Pretty standard pizzeria fare. Crust was thicker than we like but the flavor was good. My burger was well cooked. The sweet potato fries were the standout for me. Thick cut rather than the skinny ones you get most places.
Jerlando's has two sides - the fancier dine-in side (where it is frowned upon to order a mere pizza) and the take out side at the back. When we visited from out of town, we didn't feel welcome to eat in the main restaurant because we weren't ordering a meal-a-piece, rather pizza and other items to share. We were sent around back to the take out section where there were a few tables (all occupied at first). The food was very, very good. We just didn't love that we weren't "good enough" for the main restaurant. We aren't local, but will be by from time to time, and would have liked to feel welcomed in.
The wife, me and the kids came here for dinner. We have had there pizza and wings from the pizza shop out back but never went inside the restaurant. So we today we did there is 5 of us when we went in we got sat down right away. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. My 2 girls had spaghetti and meatballs and my son had there French bread pizza and they all loved it. Me and the wife had lasagna and that was really good too. We travel to the finger lakes a lot And will definitely be back
Up front, the service was very good, the atmosphere wasn't bad either, and food was middling. If you love American Italian food and looking for an obvious step up from Olive Garden, this is for you. If you're looking for genuine Italian (with Influences from all over the country), you may be disappointed. Food: Tomato sauces tasted sugar sweetened and I felt my dish, the stuffed peppers were smothered in cheese. Great for some, but not what I was looking for unfortunately. We had to try the garlic knots based on other reviews - they tasted under done (still doughy) and were only a conveyance for butter, garlic, and marinara sauce. Service: Nothing but praise, our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. Friendly. Thanks! Atmosphere: Semi-open seating with attractive murals and decorations. This place appears relatively recently refurbished.
This place is always a good bet. Zack was our server today and he was top tier. So attentive and i really appreciated his help. The food is good and portions are generous.
Great Italian food for a small town and wine country. The restaurant was definitely decorated to portray Italy. Small, quaint, and nice atmosphere. We arrived around lunch and we’re seated right away. Staff was super nice. He was definitely in top of providing great service. My husband ordered the personal pizza and I had the French dip. The food was so delicious! Menu had a lot of delicious options for all types of pallets. Prices for the food was appropriate for my taste. Service was quick. Cleanliness was great. Overall we enjoyed it and will definitely be back when we’re in town.
This place was good, not spectacular. The caprese was wonderful with a pretty presentation. The tuscan chicken was very good and flavorful. I got the stuffed pepper with linguini. The linguini was very good. The pepper was good, but the filling not so much. It was ground beef and sausage, which smelled divine, but.. they pureed the meat. So, for me, it was a texture thing. You did not have to chew the meat as it was the consistency of pate' or baby food. The salad was fine. Cheesy bread was good. Service: The server was nice enough but never returned to fill our drink glasses, I had to share my glass of water with my husband, and my soda sat empty for half the meal. I would probably return, but I would try different items. Prices were reasonable.
We went here for a late lunch on a long weekend, so as you can imagine lunch rush was still on and it looked they didn't have enough servers. They all looked a lot harried. We had to wait over 30 min for a table. We ordered the toasted ravioli (delicious), bruschetta (was good, but the bread was very soggy), linguini alla puttanesca and eggplant parmigiana. The pastas came with salad and garlic bread which were both good. The linguini alla puttanesca was actually spaghetti, but tasted good with a lot of tomatoes and olives. The breaded eggplant in the parmigiana was a bit soggy, but was delicious. It was a good experience overall.
Excellent food! The service great once they agree to serve you at the bar. The 4 star review is because of that. The hostess told us that we can wait for the table at the bar or get the full service there if we want. We let the bartender know that we would like to order food there but they served us drinks and ignored our request for a while. After us asking what's going on, the bartender told us that we have to walk back to the hostess and let her know first. I have never heard such a thing before and even if that's their practice why couldn't they let us know about it when we first asked to be served at the bar?! At least the food was very tasty and we were able to leave happy! Hope this review will change things in their system.
I visited Jerlando's Ristorante for the first time while visiting Watkins Glen, NY. The restaurant has two separate areas, one for take-out and one being the actual restaurant for dining in located in the main historic area of the town. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana with a side of mixed vegetables and salad. The salad was just the right portion as an appetizer before the main course in my opinion. For the main course, the Veal was served as a generous portion and it was good/decent in flavour though a little tough, however; the side of mixed vegetables weren't that great, and they reminded me of store-bought frozen vegetables just being reheated with some seasoning. If the vegetables were a selection of fresh and freshly cooked vegetables, I think it would be a much better side to accompany the dish. Overall, the food was okay, not the best Italian cuisine but good and service was good. Thank you
First of all, don’t trust the recent negative reviews. I was hesitant to try this restaurant because of them. But I also asked a local and they said that the FOOD IS GOOD here and she was right! Plenty of free street parking and a near by free public lot. We arrived around 6:40pm on a weeknight and there was no wait for a table for four. What We Liked & Recommend: 1) Alfredo Fettuccine (sauce tasted fresh, cheesy & house made) 2)Pasta Ala Vodka (fresh and flavorful) 4) NY strip steak (had a nice char and was cooked to perfection) The entrees came with a side salad. We tried toss salad w/ Italian dressing and Cesar salad. Both were fresh. Both dressings were light and didn’t taste oily. For drinks: The Pina Colada Virgin was on the point. Our waiter offered to refill our Fountain drinks which were complementary. Price/Value: The portion for the two pastas mentioned were huge. Good value for the buck. Service: Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks and Food came quickly. Ambience: Dim yet comfortable lighting. The walls are painted with an exterior of rustic houses. It feels like you’re eating in a little Italian village. The restaurant has one women’s restroom and one men’s restroom. The restroom was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend and come back the next time we visit. It is only a few minutes drive from the Walkin Glen State Park.
Visited this classic pizzeria on our way through Watkins Glen and was pleasantly surprised! We were seated almost immediately and ordered right away. The 2 pizzas took about 25 minutes to come. Drinks came right away. The waiter was pleasant and kept us mostly informed on the stage of our food. The music was not too loud. Around 12:45, the place was not super busy. This place is better for small parties, not larger groups, though they can accommodate. There is a bar placed centrally in the main dining, but it was not open for lunch. The food itself was amazing. The pizza was hot and crispy. The crust was not too thick. It was crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. We ordered both the Buffalo Chicken and Bacon Chicken Ranch pizzas. They both had great flavor. The buffalo chicken didn’t have too much spice, but was very flavorful. Definitely going to return when I’m back here again!
We went into this local Italian eatery at the recommendation of some family that had found it and were not disppointed. While it was crowded w/ a wait on a Monday evening that bode well for its pop…

Service was prompt and attentive. Good food selection. Very reasonable costs. Nice ambience. Good place to stop on a road trip.
Food and atmosphere very nice. Large menu selection and generous portions. Staff friendly and accommodating. Nice beer selection
Unfortunately the food really was lackluster. Everything seemed to be under-flavored and under-salted. Calling the tiramisu “tiramisu” was offensive because it was not anything close to it. The service is great though and the vibe is great. I’d go back just for a drink.
We ate here twice during our stay, overall it was a decent experience while traveling. However, I would never recommend to buy the steak or even the pasta that we had. The steak was labeled as a ribeye, it was not a ribeye and was tough (not fatty) to the point of being I unable to chew. The pasta had zero flavor but luckily they have garlic, herbs and salt on the table to doctor up. Our pizza however was delicious! Our server was also AMAZING and very on top of everything. Overall we would visit again while in the area, just stick with the basics.
Food was home made. I resepct that. We were told by everyone around how good their pizza is. As someone who seeks out great pizza, this isn't it. It's good, don't get me wrong but it isn't anything special. If anything a bit bland. We also had the garlic knots (excellent and full of flavor), and the fettuccine Alfredo (just okay). We wanted to like this place. I will give them an A+ for the atmosphere. Finally, the waitress. She started out nice but then barely attended to our table but had plenty of time to talk to some of the other guests that were standing by the bar. I find this to be very poor. It's not professional.
The service at this restaurant was truly amazing — the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. The environment was warm and inviting, with a beautiful, authentic Italian feel that really sets the mood. You can tell a lot of care went into the decor and overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the experience or the price point. I was honestly floored when the bill came and I was charged $32 for a single plate of chicken fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and a regular soft drink. While the portion size was decent, the dish itself lacked the flavor and “wow factor” I expected, especially from an authentic Italian restaurant with such a big presence in town. If they put as much pizzazz into the food as they do into the decor and service, this place would be outstanding. I came in expecting so much more, and while the experience wasn’t bad, it didn’t fully justify the cost.
A decent spot! The dishes we ordered weren't too outstanding, but it was good enough for it to be a satisfying meal. The fettuccini Bolognese was okay. The sauce wasn't the most savory or offered a rich flavor, but it held the dish together in its own way. We found it odd that the peas were kinda just dumped on top. Also saddened by the small of amount of cheese on the plate. The chicken wing pizza was really delicious. It reminded me of a buffalo chicken pizza. The service was great (even during a busy evening)! They had a great selection of drinks.
Had dinner here. Got in before the rush but it took 45 minutes to get our order taken. Good food, but not worth the wait.

I ordered to go, we had the garlic knotts as an appetizer with cocktails at the bar, tiny pieces of under proofed pieces of bread soaked in garlic butter. As far as the take out.....please someone explain to me what this is? When I called and asked ,someone named Jeremy told me it's fine its just separated. Yikes! Drinks at the bar were good.
Less than mediocre food: The brussel sprouts were extremely sweet from a heavy sauce with bacon. The Pasta Bolognese was spaghetti meat balls with peas and other ingredients. The pizza was mediocre at best. I'm addition, we waited 50 minutes for a table and the food took a long time to arrive.
Jerlando's calls their pizza the best around. If that's the case, I feel terrible for the people of Watkins Glen. It's always so sad when an Italian restaurant does not know how to cook a pizza. The dough was bad. They don't use a high temperature oven. The top of the dough was not fully cooked. It was heavy, and the edge crust was tough. The sauce was decent, and that's the best I'll say about it. We each had one slice, and threw the rest in a box. That box isn't going to get opened before it hits the trash can. Watkins Glen is a really cool place. Skip this one.

This was a disaster. Asked for bolognese and they had none. It was 4:30 and out of sauce? Wow. The garlic knots were burnt on the outside and gooey on the inside. The marinara tasted like it came …
We had mixed feelings about our experience at this Italian restaurant. The service was absolutely exceptional - our waiter was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout the entire meal. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the quality of service. The pasta (and the sauce) was clearly from a box and lacked the fresh, homemade taste you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. It felt heavy and uninspiring. The salads were quite boring - basic greens with little creativity or flavor. Most disappointing was the pizza, which we ended up leaving unfinished on our plates. For an Italian establishment, the food quality fell well below expectations. The staff deserves food that's as good as their hospitality.
Decided to visit last night during the Watkins Festival, wasn’t the greatest experience we ordered fresh garlic knots only to find a long rigid hair baked into the bread which basically set the tone for the night, we were refunded the knots but still turned us off to the pizza. You would expect a manager to make time to visit a table after that. The place was very busy and unfortunately our waiter couldn’t keep up. The pizza was just warm and subpar not worth the $28 spent. Needless to say I don’t foresee us eating there again.
This review I am about to write really hurts. I use to go here all the time 10to15, years ago. I bragged this place up to my wife. To talk her into giving it a try. She Loves steak and agreed to finally go here. The waiter started out being nice. For drinks I asked for coffee and water and my wife asked for water. It was the smallest coffee cup I ever seen aside from a little girls teacup toy LOL. No Joke. The hard part was getting the waiter to come back and give me a refill. The place was not busy and I finally got his attention and held up my cup nicely. He came over and said, What do you need. I was nice and said we are ready to order and could I get a refill please. Mind you at this point we have been there 20 mins. He said yeah BRB. another 10 mins while he stood talking at the end of the bar with the bar tender he came back. He must be new I thought give him a break. This was the best part of our experience here. He came back and he was nice, Cool I thought. he Took our order. Me- antipasto salad and 12" meatball sub, Wife- Porterhouse between med and medium well is fine she said. We waited ave time for the food. He came out put our food down and walked away. My sub was 6" very little sauce on a over size hotdog bun yes hotdog bun. I did not complain meatballs were good when I ate the three later. My wife's steak was burnt to hell, shoe leather and Black for real. We waited 10 more mins and I finally ask another waiter if he could help us. He looked at the steak and ask what we asked for. She told him and he said well that isn't cooked correctly is it? He was sorry. Very nice guy. He took the steak and walked away. 15 more mins and our original waiter came back. He ask would you like to order something else or just cancel the order, I interrupted and asked what temp did he right down and could she please have a steak cooked correctly. Nope no steak! He also said to my wife, you will have to pay for the bread and side salad that you ate basically blaming us for his mistake. I myself didn't eat, I waiting for her to be fed so we could eat together and it was now over an hour and 15 mins. I am a nice guy and my wife is nicer then I. We stayed calm the whole time while this waiter treated us bad for his own screw up. My wife even tipped him LOL. I got my food to go paid the 67$ check LOL plus 15$ tip>to my wife I ask, WHY? I ask anyone that reads this short but very true story, What would you have done? It was very unfair to sit 1.5 hours and leave starving.
If you are used to homemade authentic Italian restaurants then you will be disappointed. Server was so friendly and helpful, but our meals themselves sadly reminded us more of Olive Garden meals than a typical family owned Italian restaurant. Quality was poor. I was hesitant to leave a review, but ultimately I wish I read an honest review before deciding to come and spend money here. Unsure if we would even give another Italian restaurant a shot in the area. We are visiting and decided maybe this is not the place to try Italian restaurants.
