5 star restuarant located in Calistoga, CA. Sushi Mambo is beyond amazing and the soup that is not on the menu is worth requesting. Recommend going in the middle of the week around 2 PM to avoid crowds. Your palette will be scintillated with dazzling tastes and the food is always fresh. Try the Bento Box if you are unsure what to order.

I come here actually once a week and I’m finally writing a review.I definitely find it worth the money and mussels mania is my favorite appetizer!I suggest trying the Philadelphia roll at least once! It is very good and even someone who doesn’t like sushi agreed they enjoy it as well! :) Philly roll and Oreo mountain shown in pictures.

We liked it very much. freshest sashimi, big pieces and varied. The service is just great. Guests are treated with respect, listen to their wishes and satisfy any request. Thank you, we will definitely come back. Calistoga is worth visiting for this restaurant.

Super great food, more than just sushi, and all at a fair price. Our waiter was not the best, but I came to expirience the food. I would recommend checking out the lunch specials, best choice.

Terrific quality, affordable prices for sushi. We had the Mambo Roll, Mucho Macho Roll, and the High Roller Roll. Large serving sizes. $65 (including tax) before tip. Great value. Pleasant atmosphere. I hope to return in the future when I visit Calistoga again.

I have been eating Grab and go sushi from calmart in calistoga and loving it. After the Patriots won on Sunday I decided to get fresh Sushi from sushi mambo. Wow,so fresh and full of flavor . I really enjoyed it

Really spot on sushi. Great service. Drink options could be better but everything we had from the edamame to the hand rolls, was very good. Would definitely be back when in town.

Sushi mambo has rolls we have never seen before and we're very tasty. Service was a bit down due to staffing but out table outside made the wait manageable.

The plating was lovely, the food was okay. Inside the restaurant however is a faint tinge of urine. My friend and I chose to ignore it because we were extremely hungry, the service was very slow but I don't know maybe there were take out orders and we just weren't seeing anyone come get them. My soup spoon had lipstick on it so I set it aside on the table and tried to drink the bowl without a spoon but even the bowl had a strange after taste. The waitress didn't seem to care that I put the spoon off to the side with the bright red lipstick facing up and was usually gone before I could mention it, rarely ever to return again. I'm pretty sure if I did say anything I would have just received the same spoon with it wiped off. I don't know if I went when the B team was scheduled but the rice was very chewy for me and the flavors somewhat lacked so I wasn't entirely impressed. Over-all it isn't a bad spot but if you're a seasoned sushi consumer.. maybe go somewhere else

The taste is average, the service attitude is not good, three people gave two glasses of water, we were still chatting, the waiter kept coming to take our dishes away, and before we wanted to leave, the waiter handed us the check! Very bad feeling, will never go again!

Sushi Mambo was quite a disappointment to us. I am Japanese and born and raised in the San Francisco area where we have access to great Sushi restaurants. Good sushi starts with good rice. The sushi rice was much firmer than customary. This is due to improper cooking or poor quality rice. The sushi rice was either drastically under seasoned or not seasoned at all. Good sushi also requires quality fish. What we were served was either not fresh or just low quality. It lacked flavor and texture. A large part of a quality sushi restaurant is the presentation. It seems that the staff is unaware of how Maki rolls should be prepared, cut, and presented. Again a large disappointment. The service was adequate and because we had a dog, we dined outdoors so I cannot comment about the atmosphere although I did venture into the restaurant to use the bathroom and was unimpressed with the dacor. It seems to me that whomever designed the interior of the restaurant had little to no guidance or expertise. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal.

Sushi with a side of homophobia! If you are LGBT AVOID this place. Wouldn't even clear out dishes, gave us the check and walked away. Service was terrible! Many better dining choices in Calistoga that will treat you with respect.
