We had the traditional set-menu and opted for the 95euro deal with a bottle of cava to share, sparkling water and coffes. The dishes were very well executed and the timing of the service was impeccable and always friendly. It has all the little touches in the right places and we had a fantastic experience!
Enjoyed a week back with my wife our pre-Christmas lunch here. One of our favorite places in Cambrils. It was jam packed but despite that, as should be with a Michelin ⭐️restaurant, the service was impeccable and food timing perfect. We enjoyed the Tasting Menu (Menu Degustacion) and had a lovely bottle of Embruix wine from Priorat. Lovely taste sensations throughout and highly recommended. But book well in advance as almost always well booked.
Great food, atmosphere and service, at an affordable price for the quality of the experience. I recommend and will come back soon!
We had lunch at Restaurant Can Bosch at the start of this month, after having several great culinary experiences there in the past. The interior space is lovely with the tables spaced a good distance from each other. Of course, the whole place is spotlessly clean. The table settings themselves - wine glasses, tableware and cutlery, are top class, as one would expect of a restaurant with a Michelin star. The serving staff are friendly, engaging, attentive and discreet at the same time. The food, starting with the ‘amuse-bouches’, is excellent. We had the Traditional Menu which consists of various dishes, in addition to delicious crispy bread. Especially worth noting was the black rice with garlic foam, the octopus, the truffle ravioli, the veal and the wonderful chocolatey dessert, plus ‘petits fours’. For a very reasonable extra cost, we chose to have the option of having mineral water, wine (one bottle per two guests) and coffee included. As there were three of us, we had a lovely bottle of beautifully chilled white wine and half a bottle of excellent red wine, both recommended by the restaurant owner with our wholehearted approval. In fact, Juan Bosch is a great host. He happily spoke to us about the food we were being served, as did his son, the head chef. All in all, it was a truly memorable meal. Hats off to all those at the restaurant who made the experience so great.
Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. There is one thing though that we didn’t like: for each two persons go one bottle of wine which is absolutely logical. However later the waiters try to reduce your consumption and don’t refill your glasses. It gives you the impression that they want to keep a bottle for themselves. Which spoils all the good image of the restaurant
Nestled in Cambrils, this restaurant exudes an old-school charm with its classic white tablecloths and seasoned waitstaff. Despite its traditional ambience, the culinary offerings are refreshingly modern and inventive. Our dining experience was exceptional from start to finish; every dish showcased impeccable quality and expert preparation. A standout among the offerings was the exquisite chanterelles with scallops. The sommelier impressed us with his deep knowledge, providing excellent wine recommendations throughout the meal. Surprisingly, the prices for such high-quality food and wine were very reasonable, including a memorable Grand Albariño .This restaurant is a must-visit in the region, offering a truly enjoyable dining experience that should not be missed.

Fantastic meal again. The dessert was spectacular. The service impeccable. Have been coming here for 20 years and hope to keep coming for another 20.
Merece pagarlo.
Can Bosch is furnished extremely stylish. Brickwork, lots of glass, and bright—everything looks very inviting at first glance. Upstairs, you can see into the wine cellar—also very visually appealing. Unfortunately that evening it was extremely noisy due to (presumably) a birthday party of close to 20 people—the restaurant can't be blamed for that, but there were times when it did affect my enjoyment of the food and the atmosphere. (This is my subjective opinion of the food. The rating refers to the expectations one might have of a restaurant in this category. +/0/– should be self-explanatory then) I choose the large tasting menu, which is pleasantly inexpensive at EUR 115. The appetizers are a Bloody Mary variation (-) and a bite-sized snack on tomato bread with regional tomatoes and eel tartare. (0) Then beef in a parmesan crust and a fish soup with tapioca (-). All of this is very tasty for a good restaurant, but for me, the flavors conveyed are a little unimpressive for a Michelin-starred restaurant The actual menu begins with Balfegó tuna belly. The dish has a fine texture—balanced between freshness and heartiness. The portion is almost a little too large. Overall, I can already say that even the most ambitious eater will not leave Can Bosch hungry. The presentation is spot on, and the addition of wafer-thin olive crackers is also a good fit. (0) For me, the absolute highlight of the entire menu was the almond soup that was served next—extremely creative: in addition to the subtle almond flavor, the soup contains three pickles, and depending on which one you choose, you get three different flavor profiles—great (+). The eel is also impressive: perhaps it would be more straightforward with just a trio of eel, foie gras cream, and fig, but the other side dishes are pretty to look at (0) I always look forward to a langoustine course, as it is one of my favorite ingredients. Unfortunately, the taste is not as good as I had hoped. The vegetables are a little overcooked and the shellfish is relatively bland. Visually, it is also not on the same high level as the first courses (-) The sea bass with shrimp is attractively presented, but unfortunately, appearance triumphs over texture here. The shrimp is good, but the sea bass was probably cooked at too high a temperature or too long and is tough to chew. The bone foam also does not contribute to a balanced flavor (-) Unfortunately, the pork meat course is not for me either—it is much too heavy overall and one-dimensional in flavor. A very intense square pulled pork (nice idea) with an eggplant cream—it had no counterpoint and thus remained simply “heavy” (-) The pre-dessert is superb: fresh and balanced despite the mint (which I don't like) – really delicious, a highlight (0). And for dessert, I think it's a good idea to use pineapple as a base – it provides an interesting contrast to the other flavors (0). Unfortunately, the desserts don't quite manage to redeem the overall impression. To be honest, I find it difficult to give a final rating. Without taking the price into account, purely as a Michelin-starred restaurant, I would give it 3 stars, for three courses in a row that are not up to the required standard (in terms of taste and texture) lead to this assessment. As a restaurant where only the price plays a role and determines expectations, one could also give it 5 stars. I agree on 4. On a positive final note, the very attentive service was pleasant, and the brief exchange with the chef was also enjoyable.
Beautiful dishes, but very mild flavors. I have to say that the deserts were obvious winners! The service was nice and friendly but sometimes felt a bit rushed when presenting the food (might have been a language thing?). Got cork in my cava (and so did my sister in law) and sort of expected that they would change the bottle. However they just took our glasses and gave us new (empty) ones 😅 If I would change one thing, it would have been the lighting. On the plus side we got a very good view of the food (and each other), but I would have appreciated a more “cozy” environment. So to sum up, food was good, desserts amazing, environment and service ok.
We visited for lunch and opted for the traditional menu along with a non-alcoholic wine. Several dishes stood out, particularly the miso octopus and the shrimp corn dish, which were both excellent. However, the traditional black rice had an overpowering flavor that didn't complement the other dishes well. For the main course, I ordered the slow-cooked veal, but the sauce had a bitter taste—possibly due to the sauce itself or the lingering flavor from the black rice. The dessert was delightful; since I'm allergic to almonds, I was offered a lemon desert as a replacement, which had a nicely balanced tartness. The service was generally good, though not always timely, and they unfortunately forgot our request for the check so we had to ask again. Additionally, the staff didn't provide explanations for some of the dishes' ingredients.
We were really excited to eat here, as we'd researched it well, and the reviews looked great! The food is beautifully presented, and each course is introduced / described by your waiter as it's brought out. The reason I've marked down 1 star for the food was the seasoning. We had one course which was screaming out for more salt, and then an accompanying component to the veal dish, an emulsion, was so salty, we had to leave it, which was a shame as the veal was amazing. The service overall was first class. Efficient, informative, and friendly. It was also nice that the chef came out and spoke to the guests! I've marked down the service by 1 point for the service given by the sommelier. Unlike the food, the different wines we ordered were not introduced, explaining the region, the grape, the flavour profile, and why he has chosen a wine to accompany your food!! Also, there was no trying the wine to affirm approval. 2 glasses were just poured!! This was a real shame, and a good sommelier should know better
Nice Michelin star restaurant. Seafood was great! The arròs negra was amazing though it was very salty. The staff remade the dish and were accommodating. Lovely ambiance.
Fuimos a cenar mi pareja y yo.
It used to be my favourite restaurant. However the owner/head chef is retiring and leaving the business to his son, a nice guy but definitely not nearly as talented as his father. From the tasting menu we only liked those legacy dishes from his father. The new dishes were only about technique with mediocre results (as an example, I do not care if you slow cook beetroot for 40h then marinate it in some complicated brine if, to me - and everyone on the table - tastes 100% like marinated beetroot from a supermarket chain). Really a pity because it used to be all about high quality seasonal product. Now it is about the young chef showing off, and sadly with mediocre results. Last but not least, Manel, the sommelier left in January, who, to me and to many regulars, paired with a fantastic wine list, was one of (if not the) greatest asset of Can Bosch. I used to drive from Barcelona exclusively to eat at Can Bosch. It is definitely not worth it anymore.
