A few days ago, our family visited this stunning place as part of an all-inclusive package. It boasted a high-level restaurant with exquisite food presentation. While everything we tasted was delightful, the steaks fell short of our expectations. The performance of Mariachi added an unforgettable touch to the evening's atmosphere. Our servers, Rane and Miguel, provided excellent service, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

We had so much fun dining here. Besides the friendly and super efficient staff, with special thanks to Jorge, our server for making us feel welcomed, we have to give thumbs up to the delicious meals and the Mariachi band entertaining us all the time. Loved the tamarind margarita a lot. Their menu is quite extensive. We ordered coconut shrimp, chicken 'sinaloa' and arrachera steak tacos. And Three Milk Cake for dessert. Every plate is tasty and done perfectly. Wish we had more time and we would have returned for a second round at Hacienda El Mortero. Please keep up the good work.

As a guest of the Krystal hotel, we received a 15% discount at the Restaurante Hacienda El Mortero. Following a day trip, it was the closest restaurant on the block, so we decided to eat here. The dining area is well decorated, and occasionally the Mariachi band will serenade you. Jorge, our server, was attentive, and we ordered three main menu items and a few margaritas. Overall, we had a great time. The food and services were excellent, and the environment was beautiful and the music was enjoyable. You should definitely check out this place if you are in the area.

We made a reservation at this restaurant as part of the all-inclusive package at Krystal Hotel Cancun during our recent vacation. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome, which we truly appreciated. We really enjoyed the appetizers — they were fresh and flavorful. However, the main courses didn’t quite meet our expectations, so we politely decided to leave and return to the hotel to enjoy the open buffet instead. As we were leaving, I sensed that some of the staff seemed disappointed or even offended by our decision. I want to offer a small piece of advice: if a customer doesn’t enjoy a particular dish, it doesn’t necessarily mean the food is bad — it might just not match their personal taste or expectations. A positive attitude and understanding go a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

We came here twice as we loved the seafood casserole so much. Teaming with seafood; fish, shrimp, calamari, octopus over buttery rice… so good! We also had the flank steak which had good flavor, as well as the shrimp aguachile which was like a really large ceviche dish. The Mexican salad was a disappointment; not much in it and thrown together like they dumped everything from a bag onto a plate. The atmosphere was pretty nice and they have a Mariachi band that performs. If it’s your birthday you can pay extra for them to come by with a sign, song and dessert. The service was lacking, though, and felt like you had to wait a long time to get the menu as well as the check.

I recently visited Hacienda El Mortero and was impressed by the nice ambiance and soothing live music. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. However, our experience was marred by average service waited 10-15 minutes for our check/bill. What really caught our attention was the billing issue - we were charged an additional 15% tip without our consent. Be cautious when reviewing your bill, as the waiters may add unexpected charges. While the food and ambiance were great, the service and billing practices left a lot to be desired. Be aware of scammers/waiters in this restaurant.

Drinks - 1*. No menu, 90 peso buys you a small can of beer 🙈 Food - well, guacamole was good 🤣 Rib eye was chopped and tasteless. Even putting all the sauce didn’t really help. Tortilla chips (offered as a snack for free) were really good and I liked it more than the main dish tbh. Hostess was great, waiters were weird trying to run away from me immediately as they finished their sentence. Maybe they were uncomfortable because of the English language. Mariachi band was good.

The Place is very nice, typical Mexican and the atmosphere wonderful with mariachi that sing and play songs around the tables. Also the service is kind, the only thing that disappoint me was food, maybe I chose the wrong dish...casuela de mariscos. My bad!

I do not understand all the high reviews here.. yes the atmosphere is great, decor is beautiful but the food has got to be one of the worst, blandest mexican food we’ve ever had. Even worse than mexican food overseas. There is no taste, no spice. We had guacamole, enchiladas, and lime soup. Guacamole was literally just mashed avocado. Lime soup was also bland, the soup we had at our Chichen itza tour was much better. Enchiladas had no taste. For the price, not worth it. If you are looking for authentic mexican food, this is not the place. But the interior is cool.
