This place had incredible customer service. They had such a wide-ranging and varied menu that I wasn't sure where to start. Pricing was great and affordable on the items, which was an added bonus. Even though it was delivered, it was very quick and arrived still fresh and hot, which is something that can't always be guaranteed when getting food delivered. The driver was a really great and professional guy and he made the experience even better. I also believe that I can coordinate special requests even on a delivery, which is a really awesome thing to be able to do. I had a Chinese Chicken Salad for dinner and it was incredible, but I see some really good looking items on the breakfast menu that I plan on trying next time. From what I saw, parking is not an issue either, which is good to know ahead of time. The location is perfect right near the Topanga Mall, so there is plenty to do in the vicinity. I encourage others to check this place out, it is one of the best delis I've visited in this area.
Our favorite deli in the West Valley, food is delicious and cooked perfectly, service is great!
Food was amazing and quality was very large. Would definitely visit again.
Went for the first time. I have passed by and never knew it was there. Was invited. Loved it. I ordered a sandwich with gluten free bread. Very clean place and friendly staff.
Love this place! The food is phenomenal as well as ALL the staff. Big portions too.
Wonderful service, and amazing food. Prices a bit high, but aren't they all since COVID? I had the club sandwich with steak fries, my wife had a pastrami Reuben with potato salad. We both loved the food, but it was too much to enjoy in one sitting. I really miss the old North Hills restaurant, but this was just as good as we remember it. Thanks for continuing the tradition.
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant thanks to our waitress, Vivian. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she genuinely seemed to care about making our visit enjoyable. Vivian's positive attitude and exceptional service truly elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend requesting her if you visit!
Weiler's Deli has been in the valley since 1962. They have two locations. Why this place only has a 4 star average beats me. I think they're a 5 star restaurant. Deli's seem to be going away these days so I am very happy to see that Weiler's Deli is still around and still going strong. I've been coming to Weiler's for a few years now and love everything I've eaten here. They have a huge menu. Great breakfasts as well and lunches. I've never had dinner here so I can't comment about their dinner menu.
I hadn't been in there in like 15 years but the Owner remembered me and my mom and the food and quality of service was top notch, still excellent food and service thank you Frank for your kindness and top quality service and food!!!
Food and service are always terrific! This is our hidden go-to when no one can agree where to dine. Their menu is so diverse that you just can't go wrong. Their cooks master it all, too! Seriously! We recently treated eleven for a post-holiday gathering (we reserved the private room). You order off the menu so everyone gets exactly what they want. They were so happy - including 3 teenagers and an 8-year-old. Let me say, their cheesecake is the best we've ever had! Seven of us ordered a slice each ... don't judge, it was the holidays! Okay, huge wide tall slices of the richest, creamiest, most delicious cheesecake ever! A few selected a cookie (huge from their bakery display case), and even they couldn't praise them enough. YUM!
Always friendly and attentive and the best Belgian waffle anywhere also the best sweet and sour cabbage soup so many delicious things corned beef pastrami they have a lot totally say go
First starters they're rye bread with butter was delicious and then I had a chicken soup with an entire chicken in the soup with two matzo balls and fresh carrots and whatever else was in it it was delicious. Highly recommend this place if you've never been. That was my first time going and I loved it.
Delicious sandwiches- tuna and a pastrami. Wonderful waitress.
I've been coming here for years and I love this place. They have very good surveys. Great food, especially mushroom barley soup. One of my all-time favorites and also their egg white omelets with spinach and feta cheese. Amazing! Highly recommend plenty of parking also and vegetarian options.
I normally get take out, however, this time my friend and I dined in. It was around 6pm on a Saturday and the place was three quarters full. There was only one waitress and everyone was patient because she was alone. The pastrami on rye is to die for! The potato salad is so large I had to take it home. A must get is an order of Steak fries for the table. The portion is large and cooked just right, soft inside and slightly crunchy outside. The little dish of pickles & sauerkraut is a nice starter because the dill pickles are excellent!!! And don't forget to get dessert! I love Black & White cookies and theirs are tasty and soft.
We were looking for breakfast, other than overpriced hotel fare (We're from Arizona) , and found Frank's. An old-school deli/diner atmosphere. The food was great. I'm anxious to have lunch the next time We're in the area.
This was our 2nd time and we are so happy found this hidden gem. It is located at the end of a strip mall. This time I ordered eggs (perfect) bacon (best restaurant bacon!) Nice crispy hash browns and delicious delicious toast.. My husband has Pea Soup and 1/2 Pastrami in rye and he loves it. They also serve a bowl of pickles and sauerkraut, perfect side. They also have the best coffee. We are looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
Great deli. I always order the sky high pastrami. I can only eat 1/2 but the other half is good warmed up next day. My husband loves the sweet and sour soup. Check this place out you won't be disappointed. Lots of parking quick and friendly service.
09/24/2025 My Jewish friend recommended this spot so I went and gave it a try. The place doesn't look all that from outside but as soon as I got in, I was impressed of how clean and nice it looked. It had that classic vibe. They have breakfasts, sandwiches, appetizers, desserts, and all kinds of stuff in their menu. I went for the "Pastrami Reuben". So I ordered one with steak fries, pickles, and some ranch dressing on the side. The sandwich had about half pound of grilled pastrami in it and when I bit it, I could taste the tender and juicy fatty meat. Their fries was just how I wanted them and so was their ranch dressing. For $27.36 I think it's pricey but the experience wasn't bad.
Went to have breakfast and it was delicious- coffee was really good - I ordered the vegetarian Omelet with a side of bacon - their home potatoes are amazing- we also had French toast- service was great- staff was friendly-
Weiler's for Dinner? Yes, please. Burgers 🍔, Beef Steak w/onions and mushrooms, Fish & Chips, Wine🍷 and Beer 🍺options. Best homemade Cheesecake 😋. Delicious spot for Breakfast (rec Smoked Cod & Eggs 🥚) and Lunch that's been in the area for decades. Generous portions. Can get busy on weekends but servers seem to be very accommoodating.
Amazing! We shared the American Breakfast and couldn’t finish all the food. Then we sat here long enough enjoying the coffee and atmosphere that we had a chocolate chip danish. Talk about delicious, the pastry warmed up was the bomb. I only remembered to take the picture half way through. I should have bought a dozen to take home and share. Everything is wonderful here. Any of the wait staff are great. Everyone helps each other like one team. Update we came back a couple of days later to find my lost sunglasses. They had them in lost and found. Breakfast the second day was just as good. We brought all the family today and everyone was satisfied and full.
This place was pretty good:) you definitely get a good portion of food for the price. It's a little expensive for pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, and coffee, but it was really yummy. The service was also really good. My boyfriend got the nutella/banana fresh toast, and he really liked it. UPDATE: came back and everything was SO delicious again. LOVE this place:) everything is so fresh, and service is great.
Excellent breakfast or lunch spot, looking for nosh, you got it. Matzo ball soup? oh yeah. Love the food, and service. Gets busy at peak times but it’s a nice place with a homey feel. Love bringing my parents a little after 10 am. Nice and quiet. Love it.
Nice little find. The food was delicious, the portions are big and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a deli case of tasty desserts!
Amazing food! Absolutely everything was fantastic. Our server was very sweet and made us feel like family. So glad we came!
Was very pleased with my cornbeef/pastrami on rye enough for two “ order the French fries as my side” AMAZING best fries I ever had in California
Best Pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. Comes with pickles and sauerkraut, and tastes out of this world.
My new favorite place. Big-ball matzo-ball soup with loads of chicken, veggies, & noodles. The sweet & sour cabbage soup is loaded! Both are Yumm! You better bring an appetite when you come to Weiler’s Deli cause the portions are big. The cornbeef on rye is stacked high like it should be with a large portion of fries or other options. A variety of Omelettes are huge. You can share it. You must request pickles & bagel chips no charge. Refills on coffee and beverages. And the owner Frank, is always at the helm maintaining excellent quality. Great service. Plenty of booth seating. They also have counter seating.

Best Pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. Comes with pickles and sauerkraut, and tastes out of this world.
This is great place. I’ve tried many things on menu like burgers, hot dogs, wings. All very good. My favorite is the chilli fries.
Our food was excellent only to be out done by the service! She handled a large family reunion with ease, efficiency & smiles!
What a pleasant surprise! Low key, high quality, genuine. Lox were top tier. Good coffee too.
A little more $ , however food portions on Ruben sandwich was plentiful. Excellent taste on entrees. AAA
Wow, it was my first time there and the pride in the restaurant was great. The food was spectacular and I definitely over ate. My eyes were larger than my stomach and I only ate half of my Ruben. We received the best service and will definitely return. Next time ill order a smaller meal.

Place is good. Sandwich’s and soup are good. The bowls for the soup are not good tho. More saucer than a bowl. I would say it’s more of a deep plate than a shallow bowl. But ya, I’ll probably just get it as take out from now on, use a real bowl at home.
Casual old school greasy spoon type diner. We came for breakfast on a weekday and I had no complaints. Reasonable prices and decent service- my coffee cup was refilled constantly. I had the pancakes and they were nice and fluffy. A big menu features usual American breakfast fare, lunch and dinner.
Cute little gem in the neighborhood. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty but we still had a nice time. The staff was a little slow on helping us at the beginning, but they picked up towards the end. The food has good sizes and the prices are fair. I love Matzoh Ball Soup on a cold day and this one was perfect. I tried a bite of my husbands sandwich and it was delicious. They have a choice of steak fries, sweet potato, or curly fries. Would love to come again on a different day.
Classic Jewish deli food done well.

Pancakes, eggs, and home fries were great. The corned beef hash was not it... will try the sausage next time.

If one of two 'thriving' restaurants within 10 minutes of each other closes - clearly something wasn't working. Either demand for 'authentic' NY Deli has lessened, or there's more desirable eateries around, or the pricing has gotten to a tipping point where quality is not worth what's being asked. I LOVED this place. I mean- loved. It always seemed a better deal than Brent's (also pricey, also quite a drive) - but at least management was friendly, and we never had major issues other than the random missing side order etc. Food is standard fare, nothing special. Atmosphere is a crammed coffee shop, nothing special. And the Staff - you will come to know- is not welcoming should you need to resolve or request anything. The pricing is exorbitant - of course economy is the culprit, as well Servers getting a decent work wage with California enforcing raised minimum wages. That leaves the consumer in a tough place all the way around. But if a Jewish Deli now needs to charge $1.25 FOR A PICKLE to go with your 45$ bagels and lox - this is not a Deli that is bound for longevity (check around; Moët’s, Brent’s, etc include pickles if you’ve spent over $40 on one item!). And as I mentioned, the other location, a staple in Woodland Hills, just permanently closed. Add to that a Manager who only works til 2 PM leaving any confusion to two young gals who have to apologize they cannot reach a manager- you are left with a place that clearly doesn't value Customers. A problem did arise; they did try to reach him. The next day when we call in to deal with the problems, this Manager says about 4 times, "I'm not attached to my cel phone"... ??? The ODDEST response to a loyal customer just trying to be loyal and figure out how to move forward with the challenges. This Manager (Nemo, could be spelled differently) claims he's been working there 15 year, and says (about 9 times) in this same conversation he has no idea who I am. My department has ordered at least 20 platters over the past 10 years for various high holidays and events. But this “pro” keeps insisting he has no idea who I am. Cool. So not only is he 'not attached to his phone" (did anyone ask him to be?? - but hey- if you manage a restaurant and your front desk tries to reach you before 6 PM, if you care, you MIGHT check your phone every now and then) but he also has no familiarly with loyal customers of 10 years. Add to that that he challenges me with, "If it's your credit card, you should be able to tell me the exact time you made your purchase" - and this all before I've had a moment to share the problem. So I'm challenged about whether or not I actually got dinner there last night, what the cost was, the EXACT time. He argues and insists he 'literally has no charges between 6:45 and 7 pm" (not true, we'll come to discover) and now I'm having to PROVE I ordered there - before I've had a chance to share what the issues were. So I call my credit card company, get the exact time I made the purchase. Meantime, he calls back, he's now found my charge. Apparently, defensiveness and suspicion are the only gears this Manager is comfortable in. At the end of an exhausting, unpleasant conversation due to his 20 rounds of suspicious questions, he tells me they SHOULD have charged me for extra tomato...!! This, ladies and gents, is NOT a place welcoming your business. This is a place very happy to overcharge you for one SMALL!! pickle, charge you $5 per can of soda (that you can get at Gelson's for $1.50)- god knows what they would have charged for the extra tomato slice. Either way- as the saying goes, you won your battle, "Nemo" / Frank Weiller's... and lost the war. All future orders go to other Deli's. Period. If an Owner is reading: this Manager is not doing you favors, other than alienating loyal customers. There's other ways to handle what happened ... insisting to a loyal a customer they are 'unknown', putting them on the defensive - ? Seriously. As my grandmother would say: "such a shame, another good place gone to pot." Thank You. Kathryn Kelly
I write this review as I currently sit at the restaurant arriving at 1238pm. I have been here for nearly 40 min my drink was brought pritty quickly how ever. 20 min before my order was taken nothing complex jest a sandwich. And it's been another 20 sitting here waiting. Drink was empty for bout 10 of that. First impression are low. I'm sitting watching other folks being served and eating. I'm not coming back.its now 120pm food finally arrived. Least the food looks ok
The Matzo ball/Chicken noodle soup was very nice. Service was good. HOWEVER, the vibe, energy of the place; Horrible. And the bathroom was gross. No interest in going here again. There are better deli’s in the Valley.
My boyfriend and I ordered breakfast as we do about once a week . One particular time recently I ordered a 60 dollar breakfast for three people . Frank took my order over the phone for pickup. I had to repeat the order several times and he still did not get it correct so my boyfriend took the phone and went over the order again . We picked up the order brought it home and my burrito had spinach’s in it which I do not like nor did I order it with spinache. It was especially frustrating since we went over the order so many times with Frank. I later called and told him that I spent $60 there for breakfast and wasn’t even able to eat it but because I had a loss in my family I didn’t want To add to any conflict that was already happening in my family after several days of grieving I felt good enough to have a conversation about it Frank tried to say that there wasn’t spinach in the burrito because he remembered the order which is absolutely absurd As well as insulting, he agreed to remake my one burrito, but he wanted us to pay for the rest of the order Which I thought was petty and cheap When somebody gets your order wrong, you should remake the entire order so that the entire Experience can be relived the way it was intended to initially I ended up calling him back and canceling the order and told him to cancel it. We won’t be eating there anymore. I’ve never had a situation be handled with such a lack of professionalism and a lack of customer service when the restaurant was wrong and it was their error I Wouldn’t recommend eating there sometimes the food is delicious and sometimes it’s really bad On what day I guess who’s making it? I’m not sure what the factors are. All I know is that he Completely negated responsibility and did not handle it in a professional or appropriate manner . The whole order should have been replaced . Additionally is English is not good and therefore he didn’t comprehend the order and he certainly didn’t make his error right . He insulted me by saying there wasn’t spinach in my burrito as if I made it up . Then his resolve was to remake one burrito and pay for the rest which was tacky classless and not a resolve for the error that he made . He probably won’t be in business very long treating regular customers this way . I never complain so for me to write a review tells you how inappropriate he dealt with this situation . If u decide to eat there make sure you don’t place your order with Frank and make sure it is correct before leaving because he will likely accuse you of lying and probably won’t have a fair resolve if any .i would like to add that it’s very expensive and for the prices it should especially be done correctly. And if it is not then I expect a business to be accountable and proper about resolving it to satisfaction . Spending another 40 dollars is not satisfactory when I wasn’t able to enjoy my breakfast with my family the day I bought it and spending 40 bucks to enjoy the experience that was ruined is not a resolve and not buying anything and eating alone while my family wasn’t reasonable either so this is why I found his resolve to be unsatisfactory , offensive and unreasonable .
The day before Christmas at around 12:00pm, we picked up from Weilers Deli on Victory Blvd. a pound of chopped liver, a half pint of whitefish salad, and 2 hamantosh pastries for Christmas morning brunch, and immediately brought the food home and placed it in our refrigerator. The next morning we were prepping to serve, and the chopped liver had gone bad. The day after Christmas we attempted to return the chopped liver for a refund, and the manager stated that without a receipt (which the cashier had failed to offer at purchase) he wouldn't honor the refund. They closed at three pm on Christmas Eve, were closed on Christmas, and we returned to the Deli at 11am the day after Christmas. The manager offered to go through the receipts, to which we agreed, but while waiting he said it could take up to 4 hours to find it. We left without the refund, and for sure our future patronage! Nice work... So called Manager! (Didn't catch his name, but he was a thin bald man.) Delis are service businesses, and as such should never fail to provide excellent customer service. If you want to be treated as a valued customer, take your business to The Country Deli, or Brents Deli as we will. There you will find customer service alive and well.
I’ve been coming to Weiler’s Deli for years, and I always looked forward to the weekends for one thing — those incredible pancakes. They used to be fluffy, light, airy, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their thick-cut bacon (four hearty slices!), it was always a favorite treat. Unfortunately, something has changed — and not for the better. The pancake batter tastes completely different now. Instead of fluffy, they’re dense, sticky, and glue-like, a cheaper mix or by-product is being used. I could barely eat them and returned them Sadly, the bacon has changed too. It used to be thick and perfectly cooked. Now it’s thin, stringy, and full of chewy fat — not enjoyable at all. From a 10/10 breakfast to a disappointing 0/10. I truly hope that cutting corners on pancake mix is worth losing clients and off to Lovies Deli I go… until the original recipes return, because this place used to be amazing. what else did they change for the cake of a budget?
