Jim Boys Tacos

Love all the new updates. The building is themed now, the menu is updated and easier to read, seems they got a new drive thru speaker, the people taking the orders actually speak English now (not that it was a problem before, just makes it easier to order) and the food is as delicious as it has always been. Best jimboys in town, honestly.

Had to edit this and just say that the customer service here is amazing! The folks who work the drive thru are so kind and always seem happy to be at work. It's so nice to see.

This is always a good place to eat. These are my favorite ground beef tacos. I usually get one of those and a bean burrito with a soda. It's a great meal at a reasonable price. The workers are always friendly and the food is always fresh. You just can't go wrong here.

I gave service 4 stars because it took awhile to get our order but I highly recommend others to call ahead and do a pick up order if they allow it.

Jimboys, is a Northern California staple. It's always a favorite of mine, I had there classic ground beef tacos and a Tahoe burrito. Location was clean and the staff was friendly. I will definitely return to this location in the future.

They changed their sauces or flavors so it was good enough with their hot sauces on the side but not that great. I tried their spicey masla taco ( $was less than $4 )wasnt that spicey at all. Also, their beef burrito was ok for a $4 plus tax tag price.

They forgot all my salsas for my chips and salsa. Food was good. Paid for chips, no salsa. Only reason they don't get 5 stars. They are always super friendly and effecient and they're close to home.

Same great food Jimboy's is known for. The new modern style decor is a bit cold, and the prices have really increased. However, as a treat now and then, it is well worth the price!

Great tacos!! I was very impressed with the freshness of the food!! The beef was slightly to salty for me, but everything else was good! My son loved it!! Taco bell who? Will definitely be back

Always very good food here. The burritos are larger than expected, tacos are amazing, and variety is unexpected. A good treat every now and then. 4.5/5.

These tacos are different than other tacos that you usually get elsewhere. They have real corn tortillas that are lightly fried and so their little bit crispy but a little bit soft and they have parmesan cheese on the outside of the shell. Also the cheese is melted on top of the meat in the taco which is very satisfying when you eat it. The only downside really is that it is pretty expensive in my opinion.

They dish up great, quick, delicious greasy tacos. Tasty refried beans too. Their food is comparable to food served from a food truck. Jimboy's is our once a week treat.

The fish tacos were soggy and Luke warm. Our friend's taco salad was missing the taco meat (not sure what that was about). The ground beef tacos were ok but the jack in the box app has 2 tacos for $1 and jimboy has 6 tacos for $17. Seemed a bit steep. I probably won't be back for $3 tacos. I find the wait time and annoyance of employees the cherry on top of overpriced mush.

Wouldn't accept or help with my downloaded app which it said thanks for downloading (in my email ) and also said get your free taco. She wouldn't accept that, she wanted to see the shortcut on my front page of my phone. I downloaded 6 times and it said it was on my app page but I couldn't find it, this too along with her was frustrating.

The food is great here however my experience wasn't good,ordered 3 Tacos over the phone,walked all the way there and arrived at exactly 9:00 and he said he closed out the til and needless to say I did not get any dinner and was very irritated about this. I'm a long time customer of Jimboy'sTacos 40 plus years😥

Food is good, but being a local and going there for several years now with no complaints, I'm done! My last 3 drive thru visits have left out some of my order, and because I'm so used to not having issues I don't typically check. I drive home and find that some of my paid order is not there. So not only does my food get cold because I now have to drive back there, but the wasted gas as well. And the staff doesn't even seem to have any care there was an error. Not even an apology for the mistake. I think that is what makes me even more upset. Things happen, but it's happening every time. Getting old, Jimboys in Carmichael, I suggest you work on your customers service a little more!

Foods decent...service sucks. 10 min in the drive thru for 2 breakfast burritos on a Sunday morning with no one in the dining area?! And who sells coffee and doesn't have creamer?! Sad because I LOVE Jimboys...thank god I don't live out here, I'd never get my fix!

Their web site states they are opened at 7:00am, but they don't open until 9:00am, so if your looking to grab breakfast on your way to work don't waste your time pulling into the parking lot. Well it’s been 2 years since my last review and decided to give another try, WHAT A GRANDE mistake. This time for my dinner I ordered shredded beef tostadas churros and 2 cokes and hot salsa from salsa bar, not that complicated right? Eventually for this over priced place $30 bucks later I get my food home to find not only did I not get the hot salsa but I got bean tostadas. 5.99 for for retried beans is a tad bit much. I’m so tired of these incompetent fast food people. I have learned my lesson. NO MORE.

I was laughing at first about how bad this was, because of the crazy-high amount of salt. Then I tried everything. Salt. In the side salad. Salt. The chips, salted. The queso dip, highly salted. When your basic bean and cheese burrito has a salty flavor: 👏Make 👏 A 👏 Full 👏 Stop 👏 How many line cooks have received a supervisor level instruction to add salt? At any rate, the sodium level made all the food sort of homogeneous and, well, mushy. There just isn't a texture of any kind. I guessed the total, upon my wife returning and I sampled everything,: $13? It was $26.86. She told me there was supposed to be juice, but none came with our meal. Crazy expensive 😨 and so bad too? Wat

Wanted taquitos with a side of nacho cheese. Cashier said it comes with either sour cream or guacamole. I said charge me for a side of nacho cheese. She said I don't know how to do that so....it comes with sour cream or guacamole. Told her forget It and ordered 2 tacos. Never accountered this problem at other locations. The cashier could of atleast asked some body or selected one of the required sauces and then charged me for the cheese. As a cashier myself I have never seen a cashier display such low level problem solving skills. I really wanted the dang taquitos and cheese!

I understand touching money in the drive thru, yet what's the point of your gloves & being sanitary if you're gonna touch everything and people food? I had to wait in front and he came out from the drive to bring my food with his funky infested purple gloves

Pulled into the drive thru at 6:34pm. Open sign was on and their hours said they close at 7pm. Received a welcome greeting from a young lady and was asked to give them a couple of minutes. Waited 10 minutes and asked if they were ready to take my order. No response. Waited another 5 minutes and a guy behind me in line asked if they were open. I asked again if they were ready for an order. No response. Drove away and no one could be seen from the drive thru window. No idea what the hell their problem was but I'm never going back.

Just moved to California from FL. Was excited to get some Jimboys UNFORTUNATELY 3 YOUNG GIRLS on the evening staff 2nite were too busy trying to close @6:50 p.m.(closing 9pm) & my RV couldn't fit in drive thru..hubby tried to go in & was treated like an alien for asking for hot water for my tea & said we wanted to order but that got I. The way of her mopping so we went elsewhere NOT BUYING ANYTHING!! I NOW LIVE IN THE AREA WILL NEVER GO VACK YO THIS STORE UNTIL THEY HIRE PEOPLE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESPECT FOR A FOR ADULTS

I ordered $45 worth of food and it was garbage! The ground beef in the tacos had no flavor and it was mushy, the french fries were still hard in the middle. The bean burritos were dry and had no cheese and the chicken burritos had no flavor and were mushy as well!! I wasn’t aware the location was under new ownership, had I known I probably wouldn’t have gone there. Unless you wanna waste your money on food at this location, don’t go!!
