I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I was traveling from out of town and happened to have a craving for fried chicken. I walked in with three more other family members and all of the staff greeted us with warm open smiles. I mean, the staff was so overly friendly that it was heartwarming! They catered to every last one of our needs with efficiency. Everyone that works there was in a good mood! The service was unbelievably phenomenal! Not to mention the food was oh-so delicious! I highly recommend anyone in that area, to please stop by the Chicken Express and grab yourself a bite. I guarantee you that you will be talking about how great the service is. I will definitely be returning with all my friends.

Its fast food. Its good, consistent & accurate with orders. The price is common with the times & other fast food places. I recommend this particular location because ive had excellent service each time with out mixups on my orders . The two times there crashed a mistake they took care of immediately. They also honor the 10 pm close time. So if you show up 5 til they serve you ! Very professional employees even tho most are very young! Gk there! You'll see!!

Stopped here on our way back to San Antonio. Chicken was excellent, service was excellent. The fries had a bit of a strange oily taste, but were okay. The bathrooms definitely need attention, as they were not clean and looked a lot older than the rest of the facility due to inattention.

The food was good but seemed expensive. 2 piece snack box with small chicken tenders, small fries not full, and regular drink, $11.68. At drive through: Could not hear the order taker. the volume was too low. Finally, volume was adjusted. I ordered the 2 piece snack box for my grandson, and before I could place an order for me, I was told to move to the window. Therefore, they missed getting a sale for food for me. I was not told my cost until I got to the window.

Would give more stars, but the prices are just getting too high for chicken. 💸 You can pretty much take your family to a restaurant and be waited on in this price range. (Such as Chili's or Mexican food) I realize it's a franchise, so I do not fault the local owners for this. The food was good.

First of all I was told I had to pay more if I used a card. I was using my debit card so it's the same as cash. The money has come out of my account before I get home with the food so why do I have to pay more with a debit card. I was told that it's the owners orders. So I relented and paid with my debit card even though I felt it was not right. When I got home and opened my meal, I was shocked and angry that there was no french fries in the box. I checked the receipt and it clearly had french fries printed on it. So not only did I have to pay more for using a debit card but was shorted my fries. Today Chicken Express lost a custormer!

For years, the quality of this particular restaurant has been inconsistent. The chicken is either prepared decently or is horrible. It's expensive, and I only visit because my family members are deluded that this establishment's mashed potatoes aren't terrible, mac and cheese isn't overcooked, okra isn't overcooked, and the 3% uncharge for credit card purchases isn't silly. Not to mention that their takeout bags are infuriating. This establishment loves to cram every box in a bag that is impossible to tie, so one of them inadvertently slides out of the bag on the way home, spilling its contents into the backseat.

Use gloves when placing ice in ice dispenser!! Hands are NOT clean (as employee stated they were) when you scrape ice across the top of machine into dispenser or pull up your pants between each trip to back for more ice. Please refresh on food handling and preparation classes as they cover the proper steps.

Specifically asked for serendipity salt twice while ordering, got none. Ordered 44oz drinks, received 32 oz drinks. Lady was rude and rushing me at the drive thru window. I never really leave bad reviews but this Carthage chicken express is terrible.

I ordered ands they were supposed to bring it out to me. I was waiting 15 to 20 minutes and so hadn't received my food yet. I had to go in and ask about it and found out it had been ready but they forgot to bring it out to me.

the last 3 times I've ordered a 3pcs fish and extra tartar sauce I've gotten 2 pcs and 1 tartar. When I went back and showed them they gave me a 3rdnpcs of fish that was 2inch by 1inch big. horrible food , customer service, and needs new management and a attitude adjustment.

Service been steadily declining.To much time is spent playing, which should never happen around people’s food. I waited about 15 minutes for a mix of livers and gizzards. The photo attached is what I ended up with.
