A restaurant that straddles the village trattoria, offering simple, classic cuisine, but truly well-prepared and satisfying. Welcoming and family-friendly, I'd say it's perfect if you're looking for substance and flavor, all topped off with a more than fair quality-to-quantity ratio. If you happen to be in the area, come and enjoy the cuisine and atmosphere of times gone by. I recommend it.

Excellent food, all homemade by Valerio's mom and dad, who is a true entertainer and a great host...well done, Valerio, for making everyone feel at home...even Valerio's sister contributes to all this...well done!! The atmosphere is truly family-friendly and informal; we have a lovely big dog, so we have no problem bringing him along! Last but not least, the quality/price ratio makes Ristorante I Pioppi a significant strength!!!

A typical trattoria recommended by a customer on a gray autumn afternoon. Warm welcome... we're in rural Piedmont, so don't expect big smiles and a warm welcome. They focus on the essentials here... populated by regulars. I had an excellent pasta e fagioli, which I helped myself from the hot pot. An excellent pork chop and potatoes. Good coffee. €10... with bottled water. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended for a business lunch. I suspect the food is very good, even in the evening, à la carte. I'll be back.

It doesn't get any better than this! Excellent home cooking with typical local products, exceptional Monferrato wine, and great hospitality in a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. Absolutely reasonable and honest prices. A complete dinner (first course, second course, appetizer, and dessert) (generous portions) costs €23 per person. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

Sunday lunch, traditional Piedmontese menu with appetizers, two first courses, Piedmontese mixed fried food, dessert, coffee, and drinks included. €35 per person. You'll leave feeling full and satisfied. I highly recommend it.

Viaggiatrice Curiosa

This is the place to enjoy a typical Sunday lunch. The cuisine is Piedmontese, with cured meats from Monferrato, green and red tomini cheeses, Russian salad with tuna, excellent raw meat, and savory pies as appetizers. The first courses are risotto and agnolotti, and for our second course, we had a generous mixed fried fish dish. The food is good and the quality/price ratio is truly excellent.

After a long absence, we celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday with the whole family. We chose the €20 tasting menu (6 appetizers, 2 first courses, dessert, wine, coffee, and a coffee-based dessert). We had a great time: home-cooked food, generous portions, very friendly staff, and always prompt service. We'll definitely be back!

SERVIZIO DOMESTICO

Avoid the business menu. They grumble every time you come in and you're just passing through, so you didn't book. The food is limited, the quality is adequate, and the bread is cheap. I can't say about the à la carte menu; maybe it's excellent. I don't know. But book, otherwise they'll scold you.

Intrigued by the positive reviews we went to this "trattoria" for a business lunch. Terrible experience, not to be vulgar. The 2 "waiters" I presume were brothers, the lady was a little kinder, the gentleman continued to make noise and be arrogant. The pasta was tasteless. When we asked for some spicy oil, a small bottle arrived with "a liquid" inside, to say the least, and full of mold inside. As a second course, chicken wings with potatoes, 4 small pieces of potatoes and 2 small chicken wings full of hairs. Absolutely to be avoided.
