A very beautiful place, in the center of the city with a incredible view, if you need a hotel in Panama City is a great choice, specially is you only want a place to sleep, the food is the best and the workers are very kind and respectful, excellent for internacional reunions and ejecutive reunions.
Lovely I stayed here 10 days. All the staff are so sweet and it's a great price. Pool is beautiful. Rooms were spotless, a little outdated carpet but from my impression they revamped an older hotel and the new owner does a great job running it. The rooms are HUGE. I was confused as an American as hot water is not always standard in panama, but they turned it on after 2 days when the hotel got more busy. I can't reccomend more. The server at breakfast even remembered what I like and the maids organized my clothes. I got locked out of my room one night and the security gaurd was sweet enough to offer me his coat until the manager arrived.
Stayed for 2 days. The room was big, with a desk, TV and bar fridge which I always appreciate. Didn't have time to use all the facilities but I did have a view of the pool which looked nice. There's a lobby bar and a restaurant in the hotel but there are a lot of other options nearby.
Beautiful and well placed hotel. 20 mins from the airport. Local food steps away. Hotel is well maintained. My floor smelled like pool but overall it didn't disrupt my comfort. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and room was big
Lovely hotel, really nice rooms, nice facilities. The only negative was that I selected the hotel specifically because it had a bath in the room not a shower. There was no hot water. I complained and was promised that it would be fixed in the morning, which it wasn't.
Nice little place in the city, close to every transportation method, very comfortable rooms at such accessible prices. Nice people and service, very capable receptionist, he was so attentive and hardworking. There should be more people helping him though.
Great location, right in the downtown area, combined with very reasonable pricing. The hotel was well maintained and much nicer than what the price would imply, and staff was always very friendly and helpful. A good breakfast was included as well. Large, clean room with very comfortable beds. Wifi was spotty in the lobby occasionally, but was always fine in my room. Excellent value overall.
We were positively surprised about our stay at the Princess Hotel after all the bad reviews. It was very clean, safe and we had such a good time here that we extended our stay by one night. It's true that the rooms are outdated, that the pool area had seen better times and the breakfast wasn't as sumptuous as pictures touted. It looks like the hotel tries to improve things or maybe some rooms are better than others. Our sheets were clean and new, the water hot and the internet fast (50mbits). The value for money was very good since we had way worse stays in Panama. It's not luxury but a solid stay comparable with a good motel in the US. The service staff was great and even provided us with a hairdryer on request. Would definitely stay there again. P.S.: The chef of the breakfast room is corrupt since he tried to pocket the money for the breakfast by convincing us to pay cash without a receipt. I hope the management takes action regarding that kind of behavior. Skip him and pay at the front desk. But that is Panama. :)
Great hotel for the price. The staff was friendly and understanding. I did feel like they lacked towels however as they always were very strict with the amount we got. The breakfast here was pretty basic, just fruit, bread, eggs and sausages most days. The rooms were pretty spacious. We did encounter an issue where there was no hot water for a day which was bad because the rooms were always so cold. The carpets felt like they needed a deep cleaning, there was a slightly weird smell when walking the hallway to your room. Excellent location however, there are lots of food options walking distance from the hotel.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Princess Hotel in Panama, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a luxurious ambiance that set the tone for my entire stay. The rooms at the Princess Hotel are simple yet good. They are spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with amenities. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep, and the panoramic views of the city from my room. The outdoor pool area was a tranquil oasis, perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. Additionally, the on-site restaurants provided a variety of culinary options, with delectable dishes that satisfied even the most discerning palate. What truly made my stay exceptional, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They were knowledgeable about the local area and provided valuable recommendations for sightseeing and dining. Overall, my experience at the Princess Hotel Panama was nothing short of exceptional. It's a place where luxury meets comfort and where every detail is taken care of. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for a truly memorable stay in Panama.
I just stayed for the night but it was too cold and we couldn’t change the temperature. The decoration is old but classic, it felt like the carpet was kind of dusty and I think that gave me allergies otherwise everything was great
This hotel has very large rooms for reasonable prices. The rooms have a good view of the city. It is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants of differing cuisines and shopping centers. It's about 20 minutes from the airport. Breakfast and most things(toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, and extra shampoo) are not complimentary at this hotel. The breakfast is only $10.
The rooms are expecious but the need to clean or change the carpets. It such a nice hotel but it smells.
I only went for lunch. The food was average. But they do have a baby grand piano, and we were serenaded by a guest
This hotel is in a good location. Good neighborhood for restaurants and convenient to the ferries. The hotel service is good. The rooms are clean. Everything is a little older and worn. Shower pressure is weak and water is lukewarm. Hot tub by the pool doesn’t work anymore (no heated water). But for the price and one night stay it worked well for us.
I stayed here for a week. overall a good value. The good: convenient location in Marbella. a block from the multicentro commercial center (mall). nice clean and up to date lobby and hallways The outdoor pool deck and accompanying bar were tidy and inviting for their age. Bed was fairly comfy. This was a standard room witha a single queen bed. amply spacious for the price. The Not so good: my room suffered from moisture related odours. a staff member managed this issue with plug- in perfume dispensers. The interior doors and cabinetry were either damaged or swollen. i can understand the effects of humidity taking its toll, but a good maintenance crew would be on top of this The broke 3 days in. despite the full blast A/C, I felt damp in the sheets. this room would have benefited from a mini fridge.
The hotel itself seems lost in the 80s, the rooms and carpets smell too musty and the elevators and AC do not work well, there are unnecessary and old furniture. All this can be seen contrasted with the value per night, which is a cheap hotel considering its good location / accessibility and the friendliness of the staff (In my stay the hotel was completely full). Having said that, I recommend the hotel for a short stay not exceeding 3 or 4 nights. (Note: although breakfast is from 6 AM to 10 AM, in reality at 9 AM they no longer serve anymore because they do not provide enough).
Staff is excellent, lobby and location decent. However, this place is moldy with outdated decor. Rooms have dirty carpet and older furniture.
Hotel needs a lot of renovate work. Overall, staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Great location! Laundry facilities nearby, and many variety of restaurants. Gym is alright, sauna & steam rooms were not operable, pool is comfortable and restaurant for breakfast is alright as well. Can't go wrong with fresh fruit! FYI airport shuttle is a taxi not a bus. Some actually don't know! In addition, room at the end of hall is quite spacious and has a window that opens if you want to let in some city air. 😝
The staff is over the top wonderful esp front desk. Used to be excellent but getting REALLY worn. Bad mildew smell. Cracked n stained tub. Minimal amenities. Try to charge for everything....things that are amenities at most decent hotels like toothbrush. Do not replace shampoo, etc unless u ask and stingy with their warn frayed towels. This is not the Sercotel I remember or had been referring for a number of years. 😢
After the first good impression of the lobby, you realize that this hotel is super old, neglected and dirty. We had cockroaches in the bathroom. People at reception were friendly, breakfast was of poor quality.
1- Red flags: Customer service sucks! The whole staff needs a customer service training! The guy from the morning breakfast (black one) doesn't have modals ans he doesn't know how to treat customers. 2- Green flags: Location is pretty good 3- Areas for Improvement: Rooms are okay but the smell of the place is disgusting. I feel the rooms can be more cleaned.
We got a room on the third floor and the floor was musty and the bedroom smelled almost as bad. There is no hot water so we stayed that night and then asked for another room for the next night. The room was much nicer and did not stink it appears it would just remodeled so I'm thinking the upstairs rooms are remodeled. But we still didn't have hot water so we did not stay any longer.
Great location anything you need is walking distance. Room size are good however the humidity is insane the AC noise is horrible. I dont know what happend in tue hallways but they also had a dehumidifier and a huge fan so there was humidity in and out of the room. The rest of the building was fine.
Absolute ludacris experience. Definitely one of the weirdest in my travels all over the world. We showed up with no towels in the room. Okay, fine we can talk with the front desk and get some. There is a posted sign within the room that explains you will be charged if any towels go missing. I talk with the front desk and explain to them that there are no hand towels, no body towels, no towels for the floor as you leave the shower. They say okay, someone will bring it to your room. Approximately 30 minutes later a woman brings 2 body towels, and I inform her we still need the other towels. She says you should have those, and I once again explain no towels. She says okay, I'll bring them. Never came back. My brother, in which I'm staying with, calls downstairs after about an hour of waiting and asks for towels. They say it's on its way. 3 hours later it never shows. We ask the cleaning personnel on the floor for the towels and she says she can bring them by. She doesn't. Requested it again, and says yes momentarily. We head out, and come back hours later. The towels they imply we will be charged for are never provided. I return to the front desk to ask for the towels a fifth time. I am told they have already given us the towels. I have to explain again that we weren't given a bath floor towel to avoid potential slipping maybe a severe accident, hand towels for the 2 bathrooms. Then after 7 hours of waiting for towels of all things, they finally arrived. The breakfast, mediocre at best. I requested a box as my brother is unavailable and needing rest to provide him sustenance of the breakfast in which we have paid for, denied. A breakfast buffet that will all be disposed of in a couple hours. I can not get food to go to deliver to my brother. This is one of the absolute most cringe worthy penny pinching hotels I have had the displeasure of visiting. It is absurd to say the least and absolutely bizarre that there is a gastapo experience in regards to towels of all things, and a multilayered interrogation to food that has been paid for and refused. The Princess hotel in this experience reminds me more of the Princess Diana car accident. Absolute car crash of service, experience, and expectations demolished. I have stayed at $10 hostels with better follow through. I have included a photo of the list they will charge you for even though not everything is in the room when you arrive which is potential for scam or fraudulent charges. It should not be this difficult to receive products and services we have paid for and expect. The positives I will say, are that the bed is comfortable and the air conditioner works. edit: also saw cockroaches at the breakfast
The hotel is at a great location . It is close to shops, bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, banks, Burger King, pharmacies … Lobby is not impressive but seats are relaxing. The hotel has taxies and tour guides. The hotel front dest needs to improve cliente servicie, we asked do many questions and they smiled and said yes, soon, no 🙄 or we dont know. The hotel needs to upgrade the rooms, halls and many areas. Elevators can smash you, they close quickly, rooms and halls have a horrible ofor (humidity). Room always felt humid. Our first room didn’t have hot water.. they changed us to a second room and the tv turned off ond on. The old and stained towels were an issue at the front dest- the room keeper cleaning ladies were so nice, they were not provided with extra towels they tried to help us. Our bathroom tub was ugly (repairied). The internet was horrible, i only had internet in the bathroom. The pool was refreshing and nice. The buffet is $10 and there is no variety and if its finished there are no extras but the staff was nice. Good side- quiet, cheap, and has a beautiful view. Hope you all survive the odor. We had fun!!!
Don't be fooled by the very nice lobby. This is the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at. It looked like carpets in halls and rooms had never been shampooed. People smoked in their rooms and staff didn't care. The pool area had sticky stuff spilled in the same place for days, it never got cleaned. Housekeeping staff showed up to our room when they felt like it, maybe every other day. Rarely enough that we had to ask front desk for more toilet paper when we ran out. Breakfast buffet was tragic, it always included hot dogs. I hate this hotel so much. 2 stars because good neighborhood and reception staff was nice. Don't come here.
Everything is very dirty or broken in this hotel.... the rooms (between our group, we've seen 5) - walls, carpets, sheets, towels, pool, toilets. This is hardly a 2 star hotel, let alone 4. It's very disappointing and frustrating. It may have been nice hotel in the past, but it's falling apart now. The breakfast is of low quality.... except for the coffee. The lobby smells of chemicals at all times. The staff is the last knowledgeable I've ever experienced and doesn't understand any English (or any language other than Spanish), nor do they make an effort to community effectively. There aren't even any tourist maps available at the info desk. Strange place.
Not a 4 star hotel. The hotel is nice but needs work. So much effort into the lobby and thats about it. Painting of the exterior and the pool area, a working gym is needed as the pictures of the gym shown is not what the gym looks like. Location is good. Room was ok. Started with 5 different sized towels and when house keeping came left me with just two. Did not fill the toilet paper. Two paper flat pillows called for two more twice and was never given the additional nor was a call back given to our room. I had to go get it myself. I called twice for pool towels and was told there was none. Another person asked a person who worked there and he returned with 8 towels and they were given to people lounging on chairs and none to the people actually in the pool. Alot of bird feces around the pool area also. When my spouse brought these things to the attention of the front desk she was given a mediocre response. I then went and gave the same complaints. I was given a late check out as compensation. No one at the pool bar, no one at the lobby bar. No microwave, no refrigerator, had to get my own ice. No coffee maker/tea or water. I asked for hot water for tea and was literally given a small cup of hot water. An iron holder but no iron. No blow dryer. All basic "4 star hotel amenities". Breakfast was apart of our stay and was closely monitored to the point where I had to ask for a bit more to equal a regular sized portion of eggs as I was served the portion an 8 year old would eat. The only truly pleasant people who work there were house keeping that said hi when you passed by them.
The rooms were really damp but the service was great by the staff. The location is central to the city.
I had to cancel my last night stay due to smell in the rooms and hallway that stirred up my allergies. The smell basically comes from just an old hotel that needs to change thier carpets. The hot water works on and off, not to mention a very strange towel policy. The hotel looks great, but it's already old and needs updating. I would not stay here again unless they do something about the flooring. I must say this tho, the staff was very nice and understanding despite our complains and dissatisfaction. Based on thier response it seems to be a common occurrence so my guess management simply refuses to fix the issues.
Hotel is too old. Saw people complain about many things, however the best of this hotel is the location easy to walk. Near kfc and Starbucks. Rest all in peace. Need to renovate the hotel. Thanks
The lobby, decor, and location of this hotel indicates that it's a 4 star hotel, but the rooms are definitely not in that category. Although the rooms are spacious they are dated and poorly laid out. There's no comfortable sitting furniture by the window even though there's plenty of space, just a dated wing chair. No coffee maker, no way to make your own tea. Half the electrical outlets don't work. No reading lights by the bed.
A hotel showing its age and a lack of good management. Check-in at reception took ages with staff overwhelmed with pieces of paper and a lack of a streamlined service. Some people needed 30 mins to check in. The wifi signal is poor on the upper floors, weak and intermittent at best. I had to sit in reception to work. The air conditioning is too strong and the building is quite cold even if you turn off the machine in your room. My room had not been properly cleaned when I arrived, crumbs on tables and dirty floors and was not serviced in the two days I was there. The damp gives a musty smell all around. I didn't try breakfast as it was 10 dollars extra.
**Hotel Princess Panama: Mixed Experience** I recently stayed at Hotel Princess Panama and found that the location was perfect, with easy access to major roads, restaurants, bars, and stores. Unfortunately, from the moment I opened the door to my first room, I was greeted by a strong smell of dirty wet carpet and mold. I immediately went back downstairs to request another room. The second room was slightly better, but there were still signs of water damage throughout. The beds were equipped with only two small pillows. The walls were chipped, and materials were coming off, with black stains on the top ceiling. When it was time to rest, I discovered there was no hot water. I called the front desk, and they promptly sent someone to check. By then, it was already past 10:00 pm. I checked the sink faucet and, when I felt some hot water, I called the front desk to thank them and informed them that we had hot water. However, at 6:00 am the next morning, there was no hot water again. This continued into the second day, and I still do not know if I will have hot water tonight. Overall, it was not a great experience. While the location is convenient for business travelers, I do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cleaner and more upscale experience. The strong smell of wet carpet and mold would be particularly troubling for anyone with allergies or asthma. The service was cordial and friendly, but the quality of the hotel and its infrastructure left much to be desired.
Wi-Fi barely works. The floors are extremely dirty, so bring flip-flops. I couldn’t sit on the sofa because it had suspicious stains. Breakfast is a nightmare, don’t even think about ordering an omelet because something is always wrong. The sausage is oily, the omelet is often undercooked, and the toaster oven only works on one side. Be careful not to get electrocuted. I also had to reset my room key every day because the door wouldn’t open unless I reactivated it with my access card. The only good thing was the staff, they’re really nice and hardworking. The hotel is relatively cheap and in a good location, so if you’re willing to compromise, it can work, just bring your own flip-flops.
Worst hotel ever. The only good point is the location. You can't close the toilet door, the furniture is old, the mattress is really bad, the carpet is dirty, the pool water is not clean and they signed a paper with you, that you are not able to turn off the aircon, but in the room you feel like in the fridge 🥶
Posting a review here, since they somehow managed to remove the one I made on booking. Don’t go to this hotel, there is a terrible, old and wet carpet smell everywhere. They don’t provide towels unless you ask, the amenities are from another century. No airdryer, no working locker, cold water. I don’t understand how this is possible. We had to book another hotel after 1 night and if we weren’t sleep deprived from the flight we would have not even slept there
From bad to worst! No towels, remote control not working, chair can’t be raised up, old towels, lamps corroded and damaged. I asked for a new chair to the maintenance guy and he never showed up. A long list of items with the price of each one and most of them are not in the room. I was asked to pay USD$10.00 for breakfast when I made the reservation with breakfast included. If, you have a chance to go to other hotel, do it. The only good is employees trying to do, I guess, the best.
This was the worst smelling place I’ve ever stayed. The carpets smelt of mildew/mould. I had to spray the carpets daily with febreeze until we decided to move to a different hotel. And they’ve made the process of getting a refund so difficult. 0/10 would not recommend.
4th floor has a high odor. So too the bedroom. Seems the carpet got wet or something. I couldn't sleep. It's a moldy, rusty, old smell. The staff were ok. I didn't try the breakfast because of the odor on my floor. That was a turn off. It's conveniently located close to major attractions and fast food stores.
The staff are wonderful and helpful, unfortunately the hotel doesn't match up, and needs major investment, the Breakfast is not up to much, and for some unknown reason they have the staff serve you, like you can't put scrambled eggs on your own plate, the toaster needed renewing years ago. But the worst thing is that I've encountered BED BUGS. The Steam room hasn't been working in days, it's a shame because the hotel it's in a decent location. But like I said needs a Big investment. You don't pay much to stay here, and you don't get much. I CAN'T recommend staying here.
I stayed there for a week. 1) First 3 nights, pool was closed for renovation. Reception said "No pool available". Only this, I thought, the pool was completely closed. On the forth day, I saw, guests were swimming. I asked the reception. "Yes, you can swim". Why the reception could not inform us only 3 days closed? 2) No towel after cleaning. Also first 3 nights. I thought that the clean team forgot to leave it, but it was not forgetting, but not ready. Towels were delivered around 19:00 first 3 nights. I called the reception every night and they said "We inform the responsible staff" and waited for hours. Whey reception didn't answer "Towels will be delivered around 19:00 today" or advised us for delay delivering in advance? Then I didn't have to call the reception every day. Anyway, I had to wait to take shower till 19:00. Outside was 30degrees, and I wanted to take a shower immediately. 3) Weak WIFI. WIFI at Reception was with 96 Mbps, however, room at the door was 14 Mbps and at bed, no signal anymore. At desk also 2 Mbps or no signal. It's impossible to watch streaming like Netflix or web meeting. Also no smart TV. 4) My room card key was invalided every day. I had to go to the reception after back to the hotel (Elevator works with valid room card key). If no guests are at the reception, it takes soon, but one day, big group was there, and I had to wait more than 10min or more. I had a take away food, and it was no more warm when I was back to the room. 5) They asked me an advance payment even flex rate booking. They need cash? Good thing was only location.
By far the worst hotel for the money! Many hotels in panama offer better service for less and the service here is the worst I’ve experienced of my trips to panama. Rooms are extremely outdated with antique furnishings, the elevators close within 3 seconds and came verrrrryyyyu close to hitting my 6 month old in the head as her mom stepped out, they tell us 25 minutes for food every time we order but it takes 1hr plus. You call the front desk for anything there’s never an answer, workers are dressed in plain clothes so you don’t know who is who, they had a wedding outside which is great for the people getting married by the pool but they removed all canopies for shade from other guests who paid to stay and all seating was taken so we had to sit on hard concrete, no ice machines, and when we ask the bartender or restaurant for ice they say there is none so we had to buy ice from a market down the street, then to top it off some random person who I still do not know who he was tells me I can’t drink my beer in the restaurant after the worker tells me 30 min for pizza at 10pm when nobody is eating and they are walking around doing nothing. He makes a scene and throws his hands in the air signifying “your a nobody” while he eats his food but we have to wait 30 min for a personal pizza. My mom ordered spaghetti and they say 25 min, but 45 min still hasn’t came. 1 hour 30 min later it comes to the room because she leaves the restaurant and tired of waiting. This is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered at any hotel out of all my travels in Panama and i would not recommended this place to a person even if they gave nights for free! I’m am beyond disturbed about this service, environment, and people that work here! HORRIBLE!!!! Housekeeping is amazing people but everyone else should be ashamed of themselves for the service offered. I never write reviews but this place needs to be put on blast and guests need to know there’s MANY places better than this and I highly recommend never to book this!!!! Also, we needed to get out keys reprogrammed at least 10 times in 4 days because they didn’t work - pick something else!!
Booked through American Airlines hotels. Choose it for 2 nights but couldn’t stay there. We weren’t refunded. Got another hotel and paid for one more night. It’s barely a 2 starts. They didn’t have face towels, only 2 towels available and had to dry my face with paper tissues. Bed sheets had hair all over. Carpet was disgusting and mold smell is awful!!! Don’t stay in this place! It is terrible!
I stayed 3 nights for a friend Bday, and here are my findings: Good Things: 1. Great Location – Convenient and accessible. 2. Friendly Customer Service – The staff is kind and accommodating. 3. Good Breakfast – Nice options, and the extended time frame (6 AM to 10 PM) is awesome. 4. Room Access Cards – They provide two cards, which is great for rooms with multiple guests. 5. Easy Transportation Access – It’s fast and simple to get an Uber or InDriver from here. Areas for Improvement (PLEASE READ): 1. Smell – Since this is an older hotel, there’s noticeable humidity. I recommend bringing Lysol or an odor spray. 2. Room Carpets – The bedroom carpet was dirty. I’d suggest wearing slippers. 3. Bed Linens and Pillows – The bedding had a funky smell, which was unpleasant. 4. Room Service – While it’s listed as an amenity, my room didn’t have a phone to contact room service. There’s a QR code in the elevator, but no clear instructions were provided. 5. Access Cards – If you’re shopping and pass through a metal scanner, the cards can get demagnetized. It’s better to leave them at reception to avoid the inconvenience of returning to the front desk to reactivate them. 6. Pool Area Cleanliness – Over three days, I noticed beer cans, shoes, and dirty clothing left around the pool. It seems this area isn’t cleaned regularly. 7. Social Media and Advertising – The hotel could benefit from improving its online presence. High-quality photos of all rooms and amenities are essential for managing guest expectations. Experience Perspective: Princess Hotel, it seems like you’ve fallen into a comfort zone, relying heavily on your great location to attract guests. However, in Panama City, we expect better overall experiences. Here’s what I’d recommend: • Step up your game – Clean your hotel thoroughly, repaint where needed, and invest in deep-cleaning carpets floor by floor. • Read guest feedback and act on it – Don’t let great staff compensate for subpar facilities. • Deliver excellence – People from around the world are spending money to stay here and expect a memorable experience. While the staff was lovely, the state of the facilities makes me question whether I’d stay here again. I’ve stayed in lower-cost hotels in Panama that provided a far better experience overall.
They could not pay us to stay here again. it was freezing cold and we could not adjust it. 60 degrees. no hot water to shower in just cold. hot water in sink but none in shower. no towels washcloths or hand towels. and they would not give them to me we had to go to the room and wait and wait and wait when we were so tired. do not believe the website. coffeemakers and hairdryers? you don't even get hot water or washcloths. the mattresses are very old and worn and we stayed at better places at motel 6 and in Honduras
This was a nice a nice hotel about 20 years ago. Now it's just worn out. The rooms can either be freezing with ac or you turn of the ac and have water raining from the ceiling because of evaporation. The pool is old and the water smells funny. Not a really good hotel and looks nothing like the pictures. I don't recommend it.
Arrived at 2100 completely tired and no one towel in the bath. Asked politely to provide the towel cause I need to take a shower. They brought only after my second reminder and 2 hours and only one towel )). Never happened in my life like that.
It’s a good location and that’s about the only good thing about it. Rooms are dated and musky beds lumpy and hallways appear like dungeons. Exterior is very dirty needs power washing and paint staff are lazy and slow Hotel has prehistoric cooling systems very noisy. People living in apartments across the street complain about the noise late at night and also during the day of the black smoke emitting from the old ventilation turbines….this hotel needs a complete makeover
A very bad hotel! For the money paid, it's not worth spending time here at all. Room with sad and old furniture with a horrible smell of moisture and mold, elevators go alone to what floor they want, very poor breakfast and not tasty! If you want to go to the pool, there is no sun umbrella or a shady place. The service in the room was very bad, nobody cleaned our room for three days and there is no water or a coffee / tea maker. I do not recommend spending your money and time here.
This hotel really wouldn’t be bad on its own, but the humidity and moisture is insane. Other than the fact that the rooms are dated, the room size is great and the hotel offers anything you may need. Once we got out of the elevator to our floor, we were hit with a wave a musty humidity. I woke up with a sore throat and my chest feeling tight after spending the night. Everything feels damp: the bedding, your clothing, the chairs. I would not recommend this place at all.
Unfortunately, the pictures are not an accurate description of this particular hotel. Our room was humid and smelt of mold. We found numerous cockroaches in the bathroom and have no hot water over the course of 4 days. The AC wouldn’t drop below 74 degrees F and left our room hot, moist and damp. Cleanliness was not a high priority from what we experienced. Plenty of nicer hotels in Panama City, lots of which do not cat fish their pictures. Not worth it!
I couldn't stay here because of mold and heavy smell. It's humid like cave, the air inside is very thick and stinky. The room was also molded, bed and pillows were all stinky and horrible. The room had no towels. I barely stand for 30 minutes and left the hotel after. How is it a 4 star hotel i don't know but that mold kills people quitely.
We had our first room on the 4th floor. It smelled really bad. We were moved the second day. There was a cockroach on the table during breakfast. Another time while getting the syrup a cockroach ran out. On the last day a cockroach was on the bread. They killed it and still left the bread out. Our key did not work many times. Once it didn’t even lock! That was 15 minutes before a night tour. Shame on sell off vacations for recommending this hotel!
Hugly room, old and dirty. Climatization doesn't work, room on the site of the laundry very very noisy...we asked for a cleaning but nobody has come until ours claims...
