We happened upon this trattoria, where we enjoyed seafood specialties cooked in a typical Catanian style, and to an excellent standard. The courtesy and friendliness of the owner, who explained to us how he himself, with his fishing boat named "Marianna," always procures fresh, high-quality fish, make all the difference. And last but not least, excellent value for money. We'll see you again soon with Giuseppe! 😆

Tutto buono, piatti pieni e con il giusto condimento. Unica pecca due dei tre primi piatti mancava solo un po' di sale, per il resto tutto ok

The food is very good, and the portions are large. It's hard to find fault with that. It's worth eating here. 🙂 The only thing I can find fault with is the rather odd service. When we arrived, there was no waitress; we were served by a gentleman from the kitchen (I think). You probably won't be able to communicate in English here. We weren't provided with drinking glasses, but I think that had its charm. 🙂

The food was definitely good. The only downside was that many of the items listed on the menu weren't actually there (some because it wasn't the right time of year, others probably because we went for lunch on a Sunday, it was almost 2 p.m. and the place was packed). We ate really well. The owner and his family were really, really nice to us even though we hadn't even booked. They found us a table and seated us... in addition to what we ordered. Perhaps to make up for the fact that some of the items we'd asked for weren't on the menu, they offered us some free dishes. A truly excellent place, we'll definitely be back when we pass through Catania again.

They have a cafe as well with preoared seafood dishes. The waiter is somebody who brings light in the room! Fish dishes are good, not a fan of the shrimp.. Othera guets are very friendly helping us ordering the food 🤣

I'm not giving 5 stars because the hot starter wasn't up to par with the really good raw fish, even the lobster pasta was really good.

"New Year's Eve Lunch 2023". A welcoming place for the whole family to spend a day together; also recommended for celebrating a birthday with friends. Good home cooking, with decent quality ingredients, without any pretensions or Michelin-starred dishes. The dishes were served hot and within a reasonable time, especially considering the busy schedule given the unusual day. The food was plentiful, the service was good, and the waiter was friendly and enlivened the atmosphere with his cheerfulness. Excellent value! I'll definitely be back!

A gourmet fishmonger's in the heart of Catania. Perhaps the mistake was going on a Saturday. The fish was good, average, and the service impeccable, but paying €25 per person for a mix of appetizers and a first course seemed excessive. The first course was nothing more than a pasta base with olive oil, to which the seasonings were added depending on the type of pasta. I had spaghetti with clams, which included three clams. The appetizers were varied and, above all, good.

It's hard to rate this place unanimously. On the one hand, quite good food, on the other - average, sometimes even repulsive service. A request to the waitress for an extra plate for shells resulted in a long wait. Her work mate, the waiter, is arrogant and only serves his friends. We had a good dinner but we didn't go back there again.

mai mangiato pesce così male . camerieri a dir poco menefreghisti , 5 min per avere una forchetta , acqua sollecitata a portate già servite e una faccia che lascia trasparire un lavoro fatto controvoglia . linguine alla polpa di ricci composte da pasta scotta affogata nel sugo di vongole con 4 macchie di polpa , immangiabile . Abbiamo scelto due menù fissò da 20 eur e pagato 45 eur "i ricci e gli scampi non sono da menù fisso, si giustifica il proprietario ", ma sul menù è chiaramente riportato "primo a scelta " , senza nessuna esclusione. antipasti freddi perché preparati non al momento , ma dalla mattina . Dulcis in fundo , ci hanno fatto sedere fuori , all'incrocio fra due strade , rumore insopportabile . Mai più , stateci lontano !!!

Non penso di tornarci Pasta scotta, non so quanto tempo prima l'avevano cucinata ,appiccicata e senza sapore... involtini di pesce spada insipidi cime tutte le altre cose. Mah!

The location is beautiful, but the quality is truly poor: dirty mussels, some still with the string on... prawns full of oil. The icing on the cake: I find this truly absurd and shameful. Supermarket tiramisu cost €6, especially absurd because they served it to me still frozen...truly poor quality.

Just to give you an idea: we ordered 2 spaghetti with clams, and the spaghetti arrived precooked, full of oil, with 8 clams, and tasteless. Oh, and a €2 cover charge per person, which wasn't declared and was requested at the check. In short, €28.00. "Stolen." Total failure.

Unbearable! A beer and a glass of white wine (the wine was undrinkable) and then a coperto for 5 euros. We wanted a bottle of red wine - the waitress explained to us that you don't drink red wine with fish. We thought that was inappropriate... It's our choice whether we want white or red wine. In the end, we paid 5 euros just for the coperto! For a very bad white wine - pure vinegar and beer. Never again! Tourist trap guaranteed.

Arrived there at 930am, as their opening hours is from 8am-4pm, was hoping to grab a bit for breakfast. However only the fish market part operated and no food could be served. It should be mentioned clearly then. Two men at the fish area were nice but the server was rude. Repeating „No English no English“ for million times. Then I used translate App to ask him was there anything offer to eat, he then showed me raw oysters, that’s only thing could offer from the whole restaurant/ place. Indoor is clean but stinks with fat oil deep fried smell, my clothes got the smell already even only 5 Mins inside. The fish place next to the Fish market is way better.
