Several locals recommended Angeline‘s. I came here on my second day of a two day visit to Charlotte and left wishing that I had had dinner here twice. I wasn’t super hungry so I got the fig bruschetta and the pork belly small plates. They were absolutely spectacular. The combination of complementary flavors was over the top and just the right amount. The bartender brought me two complementary chai truffles that were the perfect ending to a great dinner at the bar. If you’re ever in downtown Charlotte, I highly recommend a visit to Angeline‘s. You will not be disappointed.

A really, really great experience. We went for the first time for my birthday dinner tonight and they were wonderful catering to my dietary needs (gluten free). I had the bolognese and it was delicious and my husband had the chicken sugo and we shared the brussel sprouts. Taryl was our server and she was so sweet! A must go in Charlotte.

I ordered the salmon, and it was delicious. I asked if the salmon would be served medium, and the server said yes, but it came out pretty rare. The quality of the fish seemed really high so I just rolled with it. Loved the romesco sauce and most of the summer vegetables that they served it with. I give it five stars, and I stand by that, but I will say that the micro greens that came with it were just slightly out of balance with the rest of the dish. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and has a great vibe around the bar and into the restaurant. I’m in town on business, but if I lived here I would definitely come back again and again. 2nd trip and food was just as outstanding. I had the bruschetta and the paccheri with oxtail Ragu. Yum! I’m returning in December for my final business trip and absolutely will be coming here one last time.

Food was fantastic and customer service was also one of the best in Uptown Charlotte in my opinion! We actually went to this restaurant because we were looking for a better choice than the one we went to originally and it was definitely a great decision because Angeline’s Restaurant turned out to be better than expected!

Danielle was an outstanding server. She was friendly, knew the menu very well, and made us feel right at home. The food was terrific. Great experience!

Came here for my 21st birthday and it was so lovely! Our waitress, Tracy, was very kind and attentive. She went through the whole menu with us and helped me pick out my first cocktail! The food was delicious and very filling!

The meal, drinks, service, ambiance was amazing. Great fresh Italian food that makes me want to go back.

Angeline’s at the Kimpton in Charlotte absolutely delivered this morning. The breakfast sandwich? Straight-up phenomenal. The bread alone had me ready to pull up a chair and eat it by itself like it was the star of the show — warm, soft, and exactly what you want on a cold morning. The whole thing came together perfectly and set the tone for the day. Definitely worth stopping in, and I’ll be back for that bread like it owes me money.

They will take care of you here. 7 person party after the around the crown race accommodated out on the patio. Espresso martinis, Paloma’s, French toast all phenomenal. Hostess, server, management all knocked it out of the park. Thanks for helping us celebrate a big milestone for the group!

We celebrated our 33 anniversary here on Friday August 29. While booking the reservation online I made note it was for an anniversary celebration. From the moment we were seated Teryl, our server, provided exceptional, warm, friendly service. We received two glasses of complimentary champagne and a hand written note congratulating us and thanking us for choosing Angeline’s. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. Thank you to all involved for a wonderful dining experience!

What a gorgeous restaurant. We chose to eat outside (I don’t like air conditioning) and the patio was SO CUTE. Got to sit amongst some gorgeous plants in a sunken patio. What could be better. We had the Whipped Ricotta as an appetizer and I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. It was delicious. I had the Chicken Sugo for dinner and my husband had the Gnocchi. Both plates were bursting with flavor and tasted unlike anything I’ve experienced in Charlotte. Our server (her name escapes me, cute blonde, super bubbly) was excellent. It’s rare to have good food service these days and she was just a breath of fresh air. We will definitely be returning.

We absolutely loved our experience here! The food was amazing, from our whipped ricotta appetizer, to our pasta dishes. The ambience is relaxing as well. Our server was attentive, which was appreciated. I mentioned in our reservation it was my fiancé’s birthday and he was greeted with a card and a fun little treat at the end. We will definitely be back!

We came to Angeline's for breakfast 3 times and dinner 1 time. Each time we were here we had a brilliant meal. The staff are very friendly and are attentive. Our servers Miller and Tracy (sorry if spelling is incorrect) were very good at their jobs. Food is absolutely delicious, both at breakfast and in the evenings. The selection of local beers and ciders were also very nice. Would recommend to anyone looking for meals especially if staying at the hotel

What a great dinner! The whipped feta, gnocchi, and lamb were all incredible. Sven and the rest of the staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. It was one of the better meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

Came here on a double date and had a fantastic time! My friend had been here previously and they raved about it so decided to try it out. Definitely upscale and had a nice chill vibe to it. Located in uptown next to Merchant and Trade rooftop. We actually walked in around 8 and were able to be seated without having a reservation. Everything was delicious. We tried everything from their Mussels, calamari, pork chop, steak, salmon, and fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasteful. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive (failed to get her name). We decided to get their dessert also. Chocolate torte and tiramisu. Both were very flavorful and definitely hit the sweet tooth craving afterward. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back to try other dishes.

I thought the food was excellent,we loved our waiter Alex,he gave great recommendations. The atmosphere was great and would definitely come back again.

Mushroom pizza was soo good . Chicken parm was prepared in a different style but was very good . My sever was so great . Would happily return.

I had a wonderful experience at Angeline’s. I met up with some colleagues for some drinks and conversations in the patio, and the wait staff was pleasant. They made sure drinks were full and that everyone was enjoying their drinks. We had a large spread of appetizers available but I didn’t get to try any of it, as I had to leave for a dinner reservation right after. Overall, it was easy to find Angeline’s (we took an Uber and walked from the drop-off site) - it was in a great spot with excellent “curb appeal”.

We had a phenomenal anniversary dinner here! Beautifully low-lit around 8:30PM on a Sunday evening. Not too crowded at all. No wait. We had the pork chop and the chicken dish, both SO flavorful!!! Sangria was great as well! Tracy was our server and she was so warm, attentive and friendly. Would absolutely return!!!

Angeline’s was fantastic. My wife and I dined here for our anniversary, and everything from start to finish was excellent. It was our first visit, and our server, Ryan, did a great job explaining the menu and offering recommendations. We started with the whipped ricotta and Brussels sprouts, followed by the bolognese and Florentine steak for our main courses. Everything was cooked perfectly. Dessert was the zeppoles and tiramisu, and the kitchen even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a thoughtful touch. We had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Our dinner at Angeline's was outstanding. We were staying at the Hotel (the restaurant is in the Kimpton in Uptown Charlotte) so it was the perfect fit for our evening. Everything was fantastic, especially the meatballs. The flavor was great, but they were also cooked perfectly, evenly throughout with great flavor. The sauce went well with the other great app we had, the whipped ricotta which comes with toasted bread. Our dinners were equally wonderful, but the shrimp scampi really stood out - the lemony sauce was just rich enough without getting heavy or overpowering the shrimp. We also had the gnocchi which was seared in the pan giving a fantastic flavor and bite with a pillowy interior. Topping it all off was great service from both our server Meleah and the assisting staff! I'd love to add in dessert, but we were far too full after these dishes so we'll have to, happily, come back!

Had a wonderful date night here on a Monday. Our server Worship was a true blessing and did an excellent job taking care of us and providing an experience that we will not forget anytime soon. As far as the food goes, I’d give away both my kidneys if it meant I could eat here regularly all the time. We started with the calamari which was perfectly seasoned and fried and the peppers that came with it added a wonderful heat. For mains we split the bolognese and the pork chop. The bolognese was very traditional with those classic flavors and pasta was perfectly cooked with enough bite to make the mouth feel superb. The pork chop tasted like the pig was pampered and fed only the best and loved through his little pig life, because our first bite tasted like love and bliss. The roasted root veggies that came with it were a delightful compliment to the dish. Our dessert was the Ricotta cheesecake which blew our socks off. The orange chai coulis that adorned the cake was perfectly spiced and balanced so well with the ricotta cheesecake that I was tempted to lick the plate. All in all it was a wonderful experience from the ambiance to food quality and every single thing in between. Thanks again to worship and their whole team for the fantastic evening.

It’s that perfect mix of "sophisticated city energy" and "actually comfortable enough to stay for three hours." First of all, let’s talk about the food because I’m still thinking about it. We started with the whipped ricotta and it is literally a cloud of heaven. Do not skip this. Then we got the mushroom pizza—the crust was perfection and the earthy flavors were just chef’s kiss. To wash it all down, I had a vodka cocktail that was crisp, balanced, and looked stunning for the ‘gram (priorities, right?). But the real MVP of the night was our server, Teryl. Teryl was an absolute gem—super attentive, knew the menu inside and out, and honestly felt like a friend by the end of the meal. It’s so rare to get service that’s this seamless without being overbearing. Whether you’re looking for a chic date spot or a place to grab drinks and apps with the girls, this is the spot. I’m already planning my next visit. 🥂 Pro tip: Ask for Teryl, get the ricotta, and thank me later!

Tonight was my first night in Charlotte before I move in for college. The service, food, and overall atmosphere is beautiful. ALEX is phenomenal. He offered some of the best service I’ve ever experienced—very sweet, attentive, and professional while being friendly. My mom and I came around 9:30 and were sat promptly by a very kind woman, and Alex welcomed us with open arms and a very friendly attitude. He is an amazing server. 100/10! Every employee is wonderful, from the host to the bar. The food is delicious, I love the Bolognese. The gelato is also fantastic.

We celebrated my birthday before going to the theatre (2/22 - table 85). Staff that didn’t serve us even knew it was my special day (manager, another waiter). Food was great and surprise dessert. Very comfortable and we could even hear each other.

Very happy to have found this place! The food was good, but the service by our waiter Alex was even better. He was super attentive and engaging, always came at just the right moment to check in on us. The ambience was also nice - fairly crowded for a Monday night, but just the right kind of din from conversation without being too loud. Our favorite appetizers were the tomato bisque and the whipped ricotta. Would definitely recommend Angeline’s for any occasion!

We had an outstanding experience hosting our company holiday party at Angeline’s. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The team went above and beyond to make sure all my food restrictions were carefully accommodated, which truly meant a lot to me. My entire team enjoyed some of the finest food, paired with a wonderful atmosphere that made the evening memorable and special. Locals recommended this place as one of the best in town. We couldn’t get a dinner reservation since everything was booked, so we went for breakfast instead. Our waiter was very professional and friendly. The food presentation was outstanding—better than in any other restaurant we visited in the city—but the quality of the ingredients was below average. The restaurant was packed with guests, which made it a bit noisy. The interior design was beautiful. Overall, it was our best experience in Charlotte, though still not comparable to NYC.

Welcoming staff. Alex was knowledgeable of the menu. It was our anniversary and we received a complimentary sweet treat! BONUS But, the overall food isn’t that great and portions were interesting. Come see for yourself!

GLUTEN FREE REVIEW: Absolutely amazing experience with endless Gluten Free options available - both appetizers came with gluten free bread. All pizzas can be made on gluten free crust and pastas can be made with gluten free noodles! Bonus that there is no up charge for gluten free. The flavors of everything were amazing and the atmosphere was great! Our favorites were the mussels and whipped ricotta. Heads up that the chopped salad was spicy!! We didn’t get to try a gluten free pasta but will be back to do so!

Met a friend for dinner and to catch up. Everything others describe about the restaurant atmosphere is spot on. Service was excellent, and our server appreciated that we just needed time to chat before placing our app and food orders. We had the brussel sprouts, calamari, pasta and branzino. With the exception of the branzino, everything was tasty and well prepared. My only disappointment is that the branzino was not deboned which makes for an awkward dining experience when you are pulling bones out of your mouth and depositing them on your plate. Glad I was with a friend and not a business associate!

This place is the definition of mid. Nothing was outright horrible, but nothing stood out either. It’s not bad—but it’s definitely not great. My family ordered the heirloom tomato salad, the gem lettuces salad, and the chicken al forno. I had tried the chicken al forno and gem lettuces salad before, along with the tiramisu to-go. Let me just say: DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT FROM HERE. The portions were laughably small, and some ingredients were missing entirely. When dining in, the food looked nice, but the flavors were underwhelming. The tomato salad had potential but didn’t quite hit, and the chicken dish felt like it was missing something. The atmosphere was fine, though not especially memorable. In short: it’s an okay spot if you’re already here, but I wouldn’t go out of my way or order takeout again.

I went with a party of 10 and had a blast. I ordered the gnocchi with braised duck and it was honestly the best duck and gnocchi I’ve ever had (see photo below). The problem though was the Ceasar salad. Previous reviews touched on this aswell. There is no dressing that comes on it and literally tasted like a bag of Fresh Express salad kit. No thought, flavor or dressing when on it. The salmon also came out still flopping. Salmon came out extremely rare despite asking for it medium well. When it finally came out, it was way better but took about 20 minutes while everyone was already through their meal. Lastly, be sure to inform the server you are splitting the check. Our table spent over $1300, and thought it was acceptable to have it on one card. When it was time to split it up (even with us selecting which items should go on 4 separate tabs), the server was utterly dumbfounded. I Would like to give this another try but I’ll be sure not to come with a large group.

Avocado toast was burnt and scrambled eggs were undercooked. Couldn’t even do egg whites, just scrambled. Server was a bit rude and staff seemed annoyed by the fact we had small kids with us. Most certainly not a place for breakfast.
